I was super excited for this book because I was so ready to read more Elsie Silver after devouring her cowboy series. There were things I really liked and some things I disliked about this story.

Firstly, I liked Ford and Rosie, I thought they had good banter and it was fun to read. Ford was great for the most part, but he was hard to pin down as a character. He was too “nice” for this to be a billionaire romance, but he also wasn’t a rockstar, bad boy, or cowboy, so he fell into this weird limbo for me. They kept calling him a hot billionaire but he didn’t feel like one. But I really liked Rosie and LOVED the Willa cameos.

The subplot with his biological/sperm donor daughter was honestly a little cringe and I had trouble getting past it. He just felt too obligated to her and it felt unwarranted? I also just don’t like surprise kid tropes for the most part anyway. It took me until about the 50% mark to really get into the plot, but once I got there I thought it was enjoyable. I look forward to seeing where this series goes.

Thank you to Bloom Books and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC of this book!

I have no clue where to even start with this review because there was nothing about this I didn't absolutely love! Elsie Silver has truly outdone herself and I can easily say this will be one of my absolute favourites of the year. The characters and their connection is really what made this such a standout — Ford and Rosie are going to be living rent-free in my mind for a while!

The dynamic between our two main characters was what made this so special — the bond that came from their history together was literally palpable, which is something that can be extremely hard to pull off in any book where there is a mostly off-page past timeline of interactions between two characters, but it was executed perfectly here. Not quite friends, not quite enemies, we gradually get perfectly chosen snippets of a past Ford and Rosie often via diary entries (!) that really gives the full picture of their connection, even back in the days where it was way more nuanced. It even added another layer to their present-day banter, and the banter ATE!!!! I just love a witty duo!!!! (thinking of the emails right now hahaha so good).

I loved both characters so much as individuals. I felt so connected to Rosie and her journey to embracing all parts of herself for better or for worse. Also FORD GRANT! He was kind of giving reformed loser in the best possible way, and the fact that past Rosie still saw and understood him in a way no one else did really made their bond all the more tender to me. His acts of service and years of pining combo is gonna do it for me every time! Also shoutout to all the other characters, like West and Cora and everyone in between — I already love everyone so much and this was a perfect setup for the rest of the series! I can't wait to see what comes next and want to move to Rose Hill immediately 💗

P.S. This cover is EVERYTHING and will surely go down as one of my favourite covers of the year in addition to being one of my favourite books!

Elsie Silver will forever write magic. There something so easy about her writing, as if it’s effortless. Except you know just how much effort, time and love has been put into each of her characters and stories. I just finished reading the bonus chapter from Cora’s POV and had tears. Any author that can make you become so attached to their characters to the point you feel their emotions is magical.

Ford and Rosie are fiery hot. Their back and forward banter had me giggling like a school girl. Both of their love, care and attention to Cora melted my heart. Every interaction was thoughtful and intentional which I loved. Ford is a fixer and it was so sweet watching him try to fix all the problems that came up. His necklace? I could truly die. And what I really loved were the moments he realized he can’t fix everything, and watch him try to work through that.

The little pieces that were left behind hinting at the future books of the series also have me kicking my feet in excitement. West, Bash… a possible grumpy and gruff WWE fighter? (And maybe a possible novella for crazy Clyde?!) Giddy up, let’s go Ball Busters!

The only reason this wasn’t 5 full stars for me is because I prefer certain tropes to others - however I know those are to come in future books so yay for me!

I think Elsie Silver’s writing is beautiful, she knows how to do a small town romance so well. Personally, I didn’t love this book. It took me a while to actually get into this story because I wasn’t vibing with the characters. I loved Cora but I honestly think the story still would’ve worked if she wasn’t incorporated into it.

I loved how Ford was incredibly geeky and awkward and incredibly loyal to Rosie. He’s only ever had his eyes on her, that’s what made the pining so good.

Even though this was kind of a letdown for me, I’m excited to read about West. I loved his character so much.

I am HOWLING at the moon. Wow. Elsie has not one, not two, but now three amazing series??? Can she not make me fall in love with another fictional Canadian small town?? I was hooked from the first page and I went between not wanting to put it down and savoring it because now I have to wait for the next one! Rosie was so inspiring because she was so strong and went for what she wanted in all aspects of her life and it worked out everytime! Ford was the most caring and compassionate little golden retriever of a man and the way he would do ANYTHING for Rosie melted me little heart. And Cora was so funny and rounded out their little family perfectly. Incredible. Need the rest of the series asap.

Another home run from Canadian indie fav, Elsie Silver!! Ford just might be my new favorite book boyfriend!! This dual POV, best friend's little sister, single dad, billionaire, small town romance set in rural BC was everything I love and more!!

I adored the secret pining from Ford, the way he was a HUGE softie and didn't hesitate to step up when a daughter he never knew he had shows up on his doorstep needing help. Not to mention the SIZZLING chemistry between Ford and Rosie - recently come home after her creepy boss hits on her and then fires her.

Elsie Silver is the QUEEN of steam and this latest was no exception!! There were definite Pretty Woman vibes but Rosie knows how to stand up for herself and put Ford in his place when he tries to use his money and reputation to get what he wants. Overall I loved every second, especially the cameo from Ford's sister, Willa!

Great on audio narrated by Zachary Webber and Vanessa Edwin and sure to delight fans of authors like Meghan Quinn, Tessa Bailey and Lucy Score! Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review. I cannot wait for the next book in this new unputdownable series!!

Best friends little sister is one of my favourite tropes and Elsie didn’t fail to deliver with Wild Love!
Rosie is such a badass character who was fierce, and independent despite always having a little crush on Ford. Even with the pining she never once embarrassed herself, but watching her finally get acknowledged by Ford was so swoony and romantic.

Ford… We all know how predictable billionaire heroes can be, but Ford was different, because not only was he humble and down to earth, but he was also a family man, and someone who was thrusted into fatherhood without any notice. I loved watching him thrive and build a relationship with Cora. Not only that but the mouth on this guy was INSANE. His flirtatious/frenemy type banter with Rosie had me blushing. Ford Grant is a filthy man.

Which brings me into my favourite character… Fords 12 years old daughter Cora! I’m a sucker for children in books, and Cora was no different. She was so loveable, and watching her form a bond with Rosie along with Ford was so emotional to read. All in all Elsie Silver has done it again and produced another heartwarming story! If you were a fan of Reckless and Heartless, Wild Love will be right up your street.

HAPPY PUB DAY TO THIS BOOK!!!

I am recent discover-er of Silvers Chestnut Springs series (which I absolutely loved) so I was more than ecstatic to get my hand on an ARC of Wild Love and I am truly BLOWN AWAY!!! Dare I say this might be my favourite release of hers yet, the perfect triad! Brothers Best Friend, Single Dad AND small town romance vibes!!! I swear this book has every ingredient for the perfect romance book and then some. Highly highly recommend for the banter between Ford and Rosie alone.

I think this may just be my favourite read/release of 2024 so far!!

Strong start to this new series! Perfect for anyone looking for a light romance where the hero falls first and where there is no third-act breakup. Ford’s pining for Rosie and their witty banter made this the fun read it was for me. I loved that their banter didn’t stop after they became a couple and the ending was perfect. I also found it really refreshing how Rosie’s brother, West, handled his best friend and sister falling in love, it’s something I’ve been wanting to read for a while in a romance book like this. Also a huge plus that I enjoyed Rosie as much as I did Ford and the secondary characters were just as enjoyable. I’m excited to see where this world leads, especially in regard to Sebastian.

With that said, I did find that the whole single-dad storyline started out pretty weird and a bit unrealistic. I mean it was one of the more unique ways to introduce the storyline that I’ve read. Also, after reading the preview at the end for Wild Eyes, I am a bit reluctant to get excited for it as it seems to be setting the heroine up to be an airhead.

Spice: 🌶️/5
No cheating but Rosie does have a boyfriend for a chunk of the story
No ow/om drama

This book was a great introduction into the new Elsie Silver series while still having a great cameo from the previous series. I really appreciated the spin that Elsie Silver took on the “Brother’s Best Friend” trope and can’t wait for the next book in the series with West. I sped through this book really quickly and will definitely re-read it soon.

Ford Grant was recently named Worlds Hottest Billionaire, but he's tired of everything and moves back to his small town. There he is reunited with his best friend's little sister, Rosie, who he's secretly crushed on since childhood. This was my first Elsie Silver novel and I was delighted with it. If you enjoy small town contemporary romance novels with single dad and he falls first tropes, I recommend this book. The banter and chemistry were great.

Thank you to Bloom Books for providing me with an advanced copy of this book via NetGalley.

3.5 stars! This was my first Elsie Silver book that I've read and I really enjoyed it. The first half of the book was amazing and I really loved the addition of Cora into the story. After the half way point, the book felt like it was too long with not a lot happening and I couldn't really connect with the FMC. And by the last 1/3 of the book, we saw way less Cora than from the beginning of the book, it felt like she was just written in the story just for the main couple to get together.

full review will be posted on goodreads

Elsie Silver can do no wrong! Rosie and Ford are yet another perfect couple! They had such great chemistry, right from the beginning from knowing each other for so long! I love a good brother’s bestie, but I also loved how this felt more like traditional friends to lovers! It gave them such a strong foundation!
This book did give me a whiplash of emotions because both Rosie and Ford start the book off in tough situations. But I love how both of them grew from those situations.
I really liked the addition of Cora! While I already like a good single dad trope, I really liked this twist of her not previously being in his life! She was also just really funny!
For me, something was just missing in this book that I’ve never experienced with one of Elsie Silver’s books. I just didn’t connect to it the same way. Maybe it’s something about the first book in her series not being the best, but I just didn’t feel a connection to the characters like I normally do. I still highly recommend this book, I just wanted to point out that something felt off…

I’m also really really excited for West’s book!

Elsie Silver has done it again. In one of booktok’s most anticipated books, I wasn’t able to put it down. Ford and Rosie are sweet, funny, and had moments where I literally was internally screaming about their chemistry. I am so excited about the Rose Hill series and the overall success this will be. I thought her Chestnut Springs men could not be beat but Rose Hill is gunning. So so so good.

I have been waiting for this book anxiously and it did not disappoint. I love Ford Grant Jr. Billionaire, best friends little sister…. Yes please!
The love hate relationship between Ford and Rosie was so much fun to read. Ford’s mom is a riot and I would have loved to get more of her in the book.

If you’re looking for a tear jerker of a book this is not it. This book is full of fun banter with a very odd billionaire

Love it

ok we all know i’m a sucker for an elsie silver small town, country, yeehaw type of romance. they are some of my fav comfort reads. i was really excited for wild love, definitely a top anticipated read for 2024. but this one fell a little flat for me and it pains me to say it.

now i will say, elsie silver has a way of writing a book that is so bingeable and a instant page turner. she also writes the best brooding MMC’s that fall hard and only have eyes for one woman which always keeps me swooning. Ford + Rosie were a lot of fun. frenemies to lovers is always a fav trope for me. the added history of one another and banter is everything. but for this one i just found that i was getting kinda bored???? i felt there was a lack of plot development that i had a hard time picturing the environment of each scene. i’m such a visual person so i really need to grasp onto that aspect of a story for me to really get lost and unfortunately that was missing for me.

did i love the tension and build up between these two? absolutely. i just wanted a bit more! however i think a lot of people are gonna love this one so definitely check it out!

thank you bloom for the arc!!! pub date: april 9th ◡̈
