This is the perfect book for fans of a light hearted, Cinderella meets her prince rom-com. It was hard not to fall in love with the main characters and I found myself really rooting for all of them. Mrs. Lundy was my favorite character with all of her “been there done that” wisdom. The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up was cute, funny, with the right about of cheese and hope for any romance fan. Thank you NetGalley for this advanced copy

George is a marketing whiz up for a promotion and involved with his coworker who is also his boss's daughter. He has a panic attack during a big meeting and his girlfriend doesn't even look in on him after he leaves the meeting to avoid breaking down in front of everyone. He ends up with the promotion but isn't sure the future he had dreamed is the one he still wants. Ashleigh is in NYC and she's lonely, her landlords assign themselves to find a partner for her. She just wants someone to spend time with on the weekends. Ashleigh cleans George's already immaculate apartment. They start communicating through crossword clues. I really enjoyed this story.

Quirky, romantic, witty and slow slow burn.

I loved this, and the dual point of view storytelling just enhanced the relationship building. Two people struggling with their pasts find a shared love of crosswords before they’ve even met, and so it begins!
Both characters had their own quirks and somehow complemented each other perfectly throughout the book.

Rom-com perfection, mishaps and hilarity mixed with a heavy helping of romance!

This is bordering on women's fiction rather than a romance. Clear influence of The Flatshare in that they don't meet until nearly halfway through the book. Slow burn, it's a little repetitive in parts.

I love a good romcom chick lit story and this absolutely didn’t disappoint! It gave me that classic warm and fuzzy heart melty kind of feeling. This also felt like a really fresh take on a love story, I haven’t read any stories with this kind of plot/storyline before and I really enjoyed that novelty. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the market for a good romance story!

This book had such an interesting plot. When I was first like 20-30% in and they hadn’t met yet, I was like what’s happening? But it gets going in a great fun way. Thanks Netgalley for giving me an ARC of this. I loved it. The best part for me was them falling in love over crosswords essentially which was a joy to read.

The Life Changing Magic of Falling in Love is about two people going through their own anxiety and struggles who eventually meet and fall into a relationship. One star, with an additional star for the incredibly realistic, compassionate, and caring portrayal of anxiety and panic attacks.

I was overall disappointed in this book, for a number of reasons, numbers one and two being the main characters don't even physically meet until halfway through the book and and three-quarters of the way through, she is still dating someone else. I was confuse by their instant connection, as the one they'd been building via notes and crossword clues was hardly referenced. I felt like I was reading a book about two people who kind of co-existed and I was waiting for some kind of magic timeline twist to make it all make sense.

In an attempt to create a little mystery around the plot and characters trauma, there are a lot of casual mentions of things (along the lines of "it was like she was - no, there would be no visiting that again") that didn't pay off at the reveal. There was a beautiful moment at the end where grief and its non-linear processing was addressed that brought tears to my eyes, but I was overall left disappointed and confused.

Thank you to the publisher, NetGalley, and the author for a copy of this book. My thoughts and opinions are my own.

A light hearted romcom that begins with an interesting method of communicating- via crossword puzzle clues!

I enjoyed learning about our main character, I like how the author included their flaws in character, I hate it when everyone is painted as Perfect in a book. Flawed makes them relatable

I enjoyed following along on their little love story.

Ashleigh: Her life is totally fine. New York is hard for everyone… She’s definitely not avoiding her mom’s phone calls, or having her friends set her up on dates, or turning down promotions at work… 😬

George: His life is not okay. He’s pretty sure he had a heart attack in the middle of a meeting, but if he secures the promotion, his move to the US will be worth it, right?

Ashleigh is George’s house cleaner, and they’ve never met. Ashleigh knows a lot about George, and talks about him in conversations with friends… But all George knows about Ashleigh is that his life has been better since she started.

I was giggling and kicking my feet. They are both such genuinely good people and I had a great time reading this book!

So for me this book was a bit of a slow burner but it did gather pace and is well worth sticking with. There was so much I loved about this book, the perfect balance of humour and heartbreaking moments, the way loss, grief, anxiety, childhood memories are all written with such sensitivity, emotion and depth. I loved the idea behind how Ashleigh and George get to know each other. The perfect ending to this book was as I read the last page a white feather appeared in front of me in the garden, if you read the book you will understand x I heartily recommend reading this book. Thanks netgalley for an early copy.

This book captured falling in love with the person for you so perfectly. The grief, the friendships, the plot and everything was so cute and just perfect. I enjoyed it. George and Ashleigh were both so easy to get along with. Thank you Netgalley and One More Chapter for the arc!

Ashleigh and George don't actually meet until almost halfway through but their communication via notes and crosswords is delightful. This is a trope-y rom com with good characters in these two (she's the fun one). Know that it is a little chaotic and a tad confusing vis a vis the wedding dates. Thanks to netgalley for the ARC. An easy read for fans of the genre.

Ashleigh is currently working as a cleaner and is cleaning George's (already very clean) apartment. Outside of her job, she has trouble with finding love and everyone in her life is pushing her to find someone. She is dealing with grief she’d rather keep a secret.

George is a hot shot at his advertising job run by his girlfriend's father. He had a big meeting that would help determine if he gets a promotion.. and in the middle of it, he has a panic attack. He's realizing he isn't happy with the life he created and is trying to come to terms with that.

George and Ashleigh start bonding when George leaves out a crossword with the final word blank, and Ashleigh can't help but finish it.

Overall, I enjoyed the story. It is a basic romance story with a few different aspects thrown in.

I did like how George and Ashleigh built a friendship through crosswords. I didn't expect them to finally meet the way they did. A slow burn, with aspects of both characters finding themselves and some surprising circumstances throughout.

At first, this one felt kind of slow for me but was keeping me wanting to know more, at about 40-50% I started loving the book and I started to love it even more after it sped up a little bit! I definitely enjoyed the ending, it’s what I wanted and more

I absolutely loved this story. I found it charming. The love story was built on words and felt earnest and i loved the intention. It felt genuine and great to get a chance to witness. I loved watching the development of the characters as they were going through really hard things. I would definitely recommend this book.

The Life Changing Magic of Falling in Love by Eve Devon was a heartfelt story that had me laughing, then tearing up, but always entertained and engaged in the story. It was easy to get into and moved at a good pace, plus the main characters Ashleigh and George were both likeable, and relatable, which made it easy to want everything to turn out well for them. I loved the addition of Hildy down the hall, and Ashleigh's friends Oz and Carlos at the bakery always supporting her. The parts that mentioned Sarah made me so teary and added depth to the story. I really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend to other readers!

I was honestly really surprised by how I much I loved this book, the description doesn't give a ton away so I went in blind other than knowing the two MCs are having a rough go of it for some reason and she cleans for him. I loved how they started to get to know each other through crosswords and sticky notes, it gave me The Flatshare by Becky O'leary vibes, which I also loved! Ashleigh is dealing with a profound grief that has really taken ahold of her life and she doesn't know how to move on, this was dealt with so beautifully and felt incredibly real. George has a crappy girlfriend and stressful job and honestly the man just really needed a hug!! I loved watching them get to know each other and the evolution of their relationship was so sweet!

In a bustling city where everyone's lives seem "completely fine," Ashleigh and George lead seemingly separate but intertwined lives. Ashleigh navigates the complexities of her personal and professional life in New York, while George grapples with health concerns and the pursuit of a promotion that could change everything. Despite not having met, Ashleigh knows intimate details about George, thanks to her role as his cleaner, while George is unaware of Ashleigh's existence. As their worlds unknowingly converge, they each wonder if the other could be the missing piece they've been searching for. In this captivating tale of serendipity and connection, Ashleigh and George may just discover that sometimes, what you need most is right in front of you.

I really do love a good rom com and this one fitted the bill. A great storyline along with characters you want to get to know. A quick easy read with humour throughout.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in return for an honest review.

While he overworks himself in a top notch marketing company, he starts to date the boss’ daughter. Soon they realise, that the spark in their relationship is gone. Was it right to slap her new boyfriend? Was it worth losing the job?

In her newest novel, Eve Devon moves the reader down to the last bone. She shows the struggles of losing a loved one, and the struggles of everyday life afterward. How tough it is to see everyone move on in their life when your was frozen in place.

It is the perfect combination of slow burn, love at first sight and time spend healing together through a veryyy long game of riddles and crosswords. A guaranteed novel for summer. You won’t be able to put it down once you start it! I would recommend this to people who likes a good YA romance books. People who enjoyed reading Colleen Hoover “It Starts with us”,Emily Henry “Happy Place”, or Carley Fortune “Every Summer After” are guaranteed having a good time.
