I really like Fiona's books and this book is number 7 in the Nosey Parker Mysteries series.

I've read two in this series so far but I won a competition a while back and won 5 of the 7 books which looks amazing on my bookshelves.

I love the way Fiona writes, her books are intriguing and interesting and really pull you in. I love trying to figure out who has done it and I don't think I've guessed one yet.

In the Campsite Murder I had a couple of ideas of who it could be but as usual I didn't get it right. I love getting it wrong (I know that sounds odd, but I just know a book is written really well if I guess wrong).

I love the Camping/festival vibes in this book, the ins and outs of camping life at a festival and all the things that can happen. Somehow Fiona manages to make her books amusing as well as brilliant. Balancing a book about murder with amusement and also keeping it entertaining is no easy feat I imagine, but Fiona manages to do it so well.

This book is the 7 in the series which I didn't realise and I haven't read the earlier books. This is cosy murder mystery with police involvement as Nathan is police but is on holiday. The mystery was a bit convoluted and does go on a bit long for a music festival that lasted only three days. However it is twisty and keeps your interest to the end. Will go back and read the others. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Nathan is on vacation and instead of their trip to Paris, he and Jody are manning a friends truck at music festival. When a former rockstar is murdered at the event, Nathan and Jody can’t help but get involved.

Even though some of the suspects are former rock, idols of theirs, they have to face the fact that they could be murderers. Well, they and Jody be able to solve the case, or will this be one jam fest that gets shoved down their throat for the final time?

I have been reading this series since the beginning, and I absolutely adore it. Jody, nosy, Parker is one heck of a protagonist. A single mother, former cop, and now chef, she finds herself in the middle of every mix that comes to town. A solid mystery each and every time. can’t wait for the next installment in this series!

I really enjoyed this book and felt that the series continued well. It was a strong entry and it felt good to be back into the world of Jodie and her family. The drama was done well and i liked the story that it followed. The crime was planned out well and it made sense in terms of the world. I can't wait for the next book in the series!

Jodie and family and friends head to a music festival. Jodie and Nathan are operating a food truck selling hand pies, which boggles the mind. I guess love does work in mysterious ways. The rest of the crew is having a holiday or helping with the festival.
Then a man winds up dead. Nathan is supposed to be on holiday. Jodie is ex-police. Neither one can keep their noses out of the investigation.
The mystery is a bit convoluted and doesn’t resolve until just at the end. I found it interesting but it did seem to go on a bit long for a music festival that lasted only three days.
I like all the characters, but the series is the better for the presence of Jodie’s mum and her daughter Daisy.
I enjoyed reading A Cornish Campsite Murder.
Thanks to Netgalley and One More Chapter for the opportunity to read this book.

Fiona Leitch has created a very endearing and utterly believable character in Jodie Parker. There are genuinely funny "laugh-out-loud" moments in this delightful cosy mystery, along with some more touching times. Her portrayal of relationships, from romantic to platonic to familial, is an absolute delight to behold and takes the story to another level.

I came into the series four books in and found I could pick up the thread of the background stories, such as the romance between Jodie and Nathan. It would be harder to pick up this one without having read the others, just because of how much backstory you will have missed, but it wouldn't be impossible. What I can say is it's well worth reading the entire series.

Former detective Jodie Parker and her fiancé, DI Nathan Winters, were supposed to go on holiday in Paris, but, to help a friend in need, they are going to spend the weekend selling pies at a music festival, which it’s not so bad, after all, as it gives her a chance to keep an eye on her teenage daughter Daisy, there with her friends, and to listen to the return of one of her teen idol bands. However, when the ex-member of the band turns up dead, Jodie finds herself deep into the investigation. Was it an accident or someone killed him?

The Cornish Campsite Murder is the seventh book in the Nosey Parker series and the second book I read so I can tell you that they can be easily read as a stand-alone, although I am planning to read all the past book, because I really enjoy these novels. The stories are intriguing and entertaining and the characters are fun, chaotic, and lovable. Jodie is a former MET detective who left the London police for her daughter’s sake and moved back to Cornwall to be nearer to her mother. Now she works as a caterer, but as bodies keep turning up near her and her fiancé is a detective, she finds herself always right in the middle of the investigations and solving cases.

The Cornish Campsite Murder is an enjoyable and immersive read: a once-famous rock band, murder, secrets, and drugs, and there are also witty characters, pies, and friendships which make The Cornish Campsite Murder a fantastic cozy mystery!

Anyone who has ever read a British mystery or watched one on-screen knows that if there is a festival, a village fete or a jumble sale for that matter, a body is bound to turn up. Fiona Leitch’s The Cornish Campsite Murder, the sixth installment of her Nosey Parker Mysteries, is no exception.

Former Met police detective Jodie Parker and her betrothed, DI Nathan Withers, are helping out a friend, manning a Cornish pie van called Pie Hard for a camp-out weekend music festival, just down the coast from her home in the fictional Penstowan.

I liked Jodie from the start — her sense of humor, her family and her detective’s curiosity. In The Cornish Campsite Murder, a body of a former lead band member of one of Jodie’s favorites is found by the beach and her teen idol is one of the prime suspects.

I could relate to the feeling of actually getting to meet/speak to your teen idol and fearing they won’t live up to your expectations or if they do, that you’ll make a fool of yourself. But what if they are murderers or you falsely accuse them and they hate you? That's the dilemma in which Jodie finds herself.

Fiona Leitch offers a humorous mystery with some fun twists, a host of colorful characters and a satisfying ending. What more could you ask for in a summer read? How about a recipe for a leek and sausage pie at the end of the book? (Having enjoyed a leek and potato pasty on a train ride from Cornwall to London, the Pie Hard’s Die Hard-themed pies sounded both delicious and a little adventuresome. I can’t wait to return for another authentic Cornish pie.)

I highly recommend The Cornish Campsite Murder for British cozy mystery fans, humorous mystery fans and beach readers. This one fits the bill for all of the above.

I said it last time and I'll say it again - this series is getting better and better. I've always loved it for the amazing characters and humourous banter between them, particularly the three generations of Parker women (of which Nana is definitely my favourite). I love catching up with them each time following Daisy from childhood to young adult, Jodie and Nathan from enemies to wedding planning, Jodie's growing catering business, etc. But the murders themselves are getting better and better. They are still 'cozy' so no trigger warnings or graphic bloodshed but the motives, evidence, suspects and twists are getting better, less predictable and more rewarding to 'play along'.

Thanks to the Publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.

Just when you think you know who is the culprit, something happens to make you think it could be someone else, and you’re engrossed in the story, to find how it ends and whether you was right.

I highly recommend this book.

I have so much fun reading the Nosey Parker Mysteries series. Fiona Leitch has found the perfect cast of characters in this series. The Cornish Campsite Murder is a great addition to the series.
I thought I had figured out who was the killer, but the author tangled up things and I couldn’t wait to turn the pages to finally see who was guilty.
If you are a fan of cozy mystery stories you will really like One More this series.
Thank you NetGalley, Fiona Leitch and One More Chapter for the copy of The Cornish Campsite Murder. This is my personal review.

I really enjoy this series. I look forward to catching up with Jodie and her family in every new book. This one was great. I felt like I spent the weekend at the music festival with them. Thanks to NetGalley and One More Chapter Books for the opportunity to read and review this book. All opinions are my own.

This is the latest in the Nosey Parker Mysteries series. It works as standalone, but I would definitely recommend reading the previous books.

Jodie is running a pie van at a local music festival in Penstowan as a favour to a friend. When a body is found on the beach, she and her detective boyfriend Nathan are embroiled in the investigation. Can they help solve the crime, and clear the names of friends?

Really nice to revisit old favourite characters, and I liked reading about Jodie's relationships with her teenage daughter and mum. The Pie Van was a fabulous setting, I loved the pie names! This is a must read series for me, a great cosy mystery series.

Jodie is back starring in the next book of this great series. Jodie and her boyfriend Nathan have agreed to work a friends food truck for the weekend of the local festival. When a body turns up on the beach, is it murder or an accidental death?

I enjoyed this plot and all the characters, it’s a good who did it mystery. I did suspect who was the killer and the ending agreed with me. It’s an easy read mystery with brilliant characters and a great location. A great 4 star read.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for a copy.

Jodie and Nathan are at the Waveriders Festival helping out a friend in his food truck, they were meant to be in Paris so Nathan is on leave. But when a former member of a band is found dead by the beach the next morning both of them are embroiled in what turns out to be a murder investigation. All the usual characters are at the festival, Daisy, Shirley, Tony and Debbie, plus a few more, each of whom has their own view on the events of the weekend. With the help of a friend in the NYPD and a private investigator eventually the culprit is tracked down.
Entertaining cosy crime.

4.5 Stars
Just along the coast from Penstowan, the local festival has filled the area. Former Met police officer Jodie ‘Nosey’ Parker has agreed to step in and help run the Pie Hard food truck, along with her rather reluctant fiancé, DCI Nathan Withers. As they prepare for a weekend of camping and being elbow deep in shortcrust pastry, Jodie hadn’t bargained on witnessing a fight between members of the lead band. But when the body of one of the band members is found not far from the campsite, Jodie finds it hard to believe it was an accident.
Jodie is back for her seventh outing & she along with Nathan, mum Shirley, daughter Daisy & her close friends not to forget Germaine the pomeranian are spending the weekend at the local festival. I love Jodie & love how her relationship with Nathan has grown & deepened, I also love her relationship with her mum & daughter. There are a limited number of suspects but plenty of twists, turns & red herrings plus some fan girl moments. I do love this series & highly recommend all the books
I voluntarily read and reviewed a special copy of this book; all thoughts and opinions are my own

With the help of her detective fiance Nathan, Jodie volunteers to man a friend's food truck at a local festival. However, a late-night murder puts an end to Nathan's time off work but brings out Jodie's "Nosey Parker" side.

In this entertaining English cozy mystery humorous moments are sprinkled in with serious themes of murder and police work. I have enjoyed the entire Nosey Parker Mystery series, but the interesting relationships are my favorite part. I particularly like how Jodie and Nathan's relationship has evolved into such a warm, comfortable, and loving bond.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This time Jodie Parker and her boyfriend DCI Nathan Withers are helping out a friend by running a pie van at a local music festival. A body naturally turns up - this is a cozy mystery after all - which they both end up investigating whether this was an accident or a murder (why do I always hear the latter in a Taggert voice?)
Part of the enjoyment for me when reading a cozy mystery, or indeed any book, is the interplay between the characters, which this one does so well. It's probably over 50 years since I went to a music festival (by coincidence it was also in Cornwall, but Hawkwind were the headliners) but I'm not sure I could cope with going to one now. The atmosphere was really brought to life and there were plenty of twists and turns whilst they were deciding whether it was an accident or, if it was a murder, who did it. A very worthy cozy mystery that can be read as a standalone, but I'd strongly recommend reading all the books in the series.
I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley, however this did not influence my review of the book.

Another enjoyable episode in the life of Jodie (Nosey) Parker, committed part time sleuth and her partner, D.C.I Nathan Withers. This time they are supposed to be taking a few days off to help out a friend by selling pies at a Surf and Music Festival.

Selling the pies should be a full time job but luckily they have friends and family there to cover for them when they are drawn into the investigation of a murder. It was a very involved mystery which I lost track of very quickly but to be honest I was reading it on a plane very late at night so probably was not able to give it my full concentration.

Still I know I enjoyed it all, especially the banter between Jodie/Nathan and Jodie/Daisy (her teenage daughter). Germaine the dog was delightful too. Looking forward to book eight!

Murder mystery at the Cornish music festival, the latest in a series about Jodie Parker and her exploits in Cornwall!! Can be read as a stand alone cosy crime.
Absolutely loved this latest tale set at a music festival on the Cornish cliff tops where Jodie and boyfriend Nathan are manning a food truck serving pies to the hungry fans, on behalf of a friend, instead of a holiday abroad. Camping is not ideal but ends up being a lot more fun than expected.
Shades of Boardmasters, with all the rock stars, rap artists, pies and more! Fabulous characters and family as always and a plot that keeps you guessing to the end.
Really well thought out and executed, well written, with beautiful detailed descriptions that are easy to imagine.
Another winner, and possibly my favourite yet in the series!!
Huge thanks as always to NetGalley for the early read!!
