A dual timeline read involving lots of talk about wine. A whirlwind romance cut tragically short with twists and turns along the way. l thought the characters were mostly like-able but there were too many moments in which something just felt off. Thanks to NetGalley for the read.

The secrets between husbands, wives and brothers all set in Napa Valley. Two stories in one... Bev and June and how their lives are joined. Intriguing enough with a interesting ending. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

Lovers of Tarryn Fisher or Frieda McFadden would likely enjoy Till Death Do Us Part. Tense, did he or didn't he? suspenseful and thrilling. What didn't work for me was some of the 'plot twists" that weren't executed in a way I could get invested in.

I was really excited for this book but it was just so blah and boring. I really don't like flashbacks for the most part and this one wasn't convincing me it was necessary. This would have been cooler if it was one of my favorite twists in that it was dual timeline but we didn't know one was 1999 (would it have worked for the ending? I have no idea).

I also didn't like either of the main characters. There wasn't much for me to go on and both POVs were just boring.

This was a crazy book! I loved the premise of it - husband died? or did he really? I felt tense throughout trying to figure out who was coming around and if it was really June's first husband... and why now? When she has seemed to find happiness again?

Well written and fast paced. This was everything I was hoping for when I started it.

Thriller with lots of twists. David and Bev have twins Josh and Andrew. Bev is slightly disconnected from her marriage and being a mother, but her sister helps her especially with her new baby. Cheating and lies and what ifs create a great story. Murders help spice up the story. A recommended read.

This was an entertaining and quick read that I did find to be pretty enjoyable. I was drawn to the pretty cover, and the overall idea of how hard it would be to move on if you lost a loved one, but then never had any definitive evidence that they were actually dead. And then, what if you swore you saw them alive multiple times over the years?

As a whole, I liked this book and would probably give it 3.5 stars, but in order to do so would have to overlook a few things. Specifically, I feel like there were several "plot twists" that made absolutely no sense, and were then never explained well. This in turn left me a bit annoyed and also confused when the book ended. If you like quick mystery/thrillers I'd still recommend this one though.

June’s husband died 10 years ago, drowning, while on their Honeymoon. She thought she would never get over it. But somehow she was able to move on. With him she can start a family and live happily ever after. That is until one day, she sees Josh, her husband, who’s supposed to be dead. He is just walking along the street.. how is this possible? How can this be? Is her mind playing tricks on her? She is in such a good place in life, why is this happening? She has to figure it out but how? She starts by heading to where Josh is from, California. She will head there for a few days, discover the truth and head back to Brooklyn and start her new life. But nothing is that easy and as she seeks the truths more secrets are found. Josh’s family doesn’t seem to want to help and she must go it alone… can she make sense of all this? Can she find the answers she needs to move on? Till Death Do Us Part, by Laurie Elizabeth Flynn is a thriller, that combines love, loss and tragedy. I found myself rooting for June to get to the bottom of all the drama. The story was good and the characters were interesting. I want to thank Netgalley, Simon & Schuster and the author for my copy for an honest review. It was my pleasure to read and review this book. I love a good thriller and never miss an opportunity to read one.

For fans of multi-timeline stories, thrillers with more twists and turns than a roller coaster, and a cast of characters that keeps you second-guessing, this book will grab your attention from the very first chapter. The way the characters navigate and respond to their circumstances contributes to a dynamic plot that never offers an easy way out. While some of my initial theories were spot on, others completely blindsided me as the story unfolded—just the kind of surprise I crave in a thriller. If you think you’ve figured out the "whodunit," keep reading, because chances are, you're in for a big surprise. If you enjoy a book that keeps you guessing right up to the epilogue, this one is not to be missed.

June's first marriage was short lived. Everything with Josh happened fast. How quickly they fell in love, they eloped after 6 months. And then, a week after they were married, Josh died. June can't believe that it was an accident, and since his body was never found, she's convinced it was either foul play... or that Josh is still alive. But why would he have left her?

10 years later, her boyfriend Kyle proposes. They've been together 6 years. They've moved slow, he's been patient, but it's finally time for her to move on. She knows this, even if part of her has never let go of Josh. The couple is taking their engagement photos when June sees Josh. Staring right at her. She runs, but loses him in the crowd.

Unable to let it go, June searches for Josh. He grew up in Napa, on his family's vineyard. It changed hands years ago, but maybe she can find traces of it. And she does. Along with a picture of Josh, and his wife.

June lies, tells her best friend and Kyle that she's going on a work trip, but really she goes to the vineyard her dead husband now owns. What happened to Josh all those years ago? Why would he have left her? On her journey, she hears about a side of her husband she never saw - one that was possessive and dark, nothing like the man she knew and loved with all her being.

This was such a ride, I was so invested both in what was happening in the past, and the present. I'll have to be sure to look for more books from Laurie Elizabeth Flynn.

Thank you so much to the publishers through NetGalley for the eARC of this one!

This was a fun premise and enjoyable- until it wasn’t. The “twist” was for shock value and not necessary for the story. It felt contrived and I felt myself rolling my eyes. The characters were interesting but the main character made some very questionable decisions. I could just not get on board with her and the decisions she was making! Overall, a fun and suspenseful read.

I had never read any books by Laurie Elizabeth Flynn but really enjoyed this one. It was about a woman who's first husband disappeared and was presumed dead for years before she became engaged to another man. She then believes she sees her first husband and tries to track him down to find out the mystery behind his disappearance. I thought it was a solid and interesting story!

Pretty good book I enjoyed reading it and the mystery was pretty solidly developed but I had to read the description to remind me what book this was since I read it a little while ago.amd forgot to review it. The fact that it didn't really stick withe dropped it a star in my opinion. But other than that it was a pretty good read.

DNF @ 40%.

Josh wine josh wine josh wine josh wine josh wine etc etc etc. I’m literally only 40% into this book and it’s so annoying and so repetitive. Like plz talk about something else. Also I didn’t care about a single character or what happened to them

Till Death Do Us Part
By Laurie Elizabeth Flynn

This is a story of secrets and lies, families, murder and mayhem. It is told in alternating chapters by two different women in a time frame over twenty years apart.

The story begins with June, a young woman who has married a man she hardly knows, but is sure he is the love of her life. Unfortunately, her husband Josh ostensibly drowns only a week after their marriage. After 10 years trying to come to terms with her loss, June is finally ready to start a new life with Kyle.

Then the story goes back twenty some years and Bev, Josh's mother, becomes the narrator. She is married to David, her college sweetheart, who makes her feel loved and safe. They have three sons: Josh and Andrew, identical 17 year old twins, and a new baby Kieran. Bev feels that she is not a good mother, even though she loves her sons. Things start to fall apart in her life when unnerving incidents, possibly involving the twins, leave her doubting who they are.

The two women's stories overlap and eventually intertwine. As the plot progresses, more and more secrets are revealed and just exactly who did what becomes murkier.

The book is interesting and would have worked better except for a couple of things. While many plot points are resolved, some are never made clear. Also there is a secondary subplot that seems unnecessary to the main story; it just adds to the confusion. And third, the answer to the question of how Josh died was predictable. Not to mention the fact that, until the very end, the reader doesn't even know if, in fact, Josh DID die!

I love when books are set in an area I’m somewhat familiar with. It really helps get into the story. This story was mystery on mystery with a twin twist! I found myself saying wait, what? A couple times!
There were alternating time lines and I definitely found myself favoring one over the other. But eventually it all tied together.

After a whirlwind romance, June's husband dies during their honeymoon and no body is found. Years later she is ready to settle down with a new love, but she begins seeing her first husband again. Is she hallucinating, or is he still alive? She finds herself traveling to Napa Valley for answers that can only complicate her current life.

This is definitely a slow thriller, more of a domestic suspense. The book is split into four parts where the action really doesn't pick up until the third section. We alternate between June and her mother-in-law Bev's point of views, both written in different timelines. June's chapters were my favorite, she was well written trying to move on from her grief and still needing closure. As a mother to young kids myself it is sometimes hard to relate to Bev, especially with her choices at the end. Her take on motherhood and marriage was interesting to read, I get the feeling of sometimes losing yourself as a person. But she was a bit too detached and cynical for my liking. I thought all of the wine information was interesting, the vineyard setting was idyllic and I enjoyed learning more about the process of making wine. The ending was a bit abrupt and left the readers with unanswered questions, but the story overall makes you question how well you can ever really know somebody.

Overall it was an enjoyable read. If you're a fan of family drama with a slow burn mystery I would recommend this book. The characters are complex and I feel it's written well overall. I would read more from Laurie Elizabeth Flynn. I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley for my opinions.

This mystery kept me on my toes. Because just like the heroine I wanted to know if her first husband was indeed still alive or if her mind was playing tricks on her. I don't want to give anything a way but if your a fan of mysteries you will want to read this one. You'll never see the ending coming.
