I finished The Housemaid Is Watching! I was selected as one of the few lucky readers to get early access as an ARC through NetGalley! I'll share my final review below. Thank you Freida McFadden and Mandy Chahal with Poisoned Pen Press for the opportunity! My fellow Freida readahs and Mcfans know this book is releasing in June! Don't forget to pre-order it!
Frieda Mcfadden does it again! She grabs your attention from the very first sentence of the book and keeps you wanting more! The House Made Is Watching exceeded my expectations. Just like all of Freida Mcfadden's books it was a very easy read, keeps you guessing, and my jaw always hits the floor by the time I get to the twist and ending. Not to mention I couldn't put this book down! Make sure to clear your schedule for when you finally get your hands on a copy! 🤣
I wasn't sure what to expect but I knew I had to get my hands on the third book in the Housemaid series since I absolutely loved the first two books. I didn't know I enjoyed reading psychological thriller books until I read The Housemaid. After reading the first two books I haven't been able to steer away from thrillers and I have made it a mission to read all of Freida's books!
Let me tell you this book did not disappoint. I highly recommend you to read The Housemaid Is Watching to see what Millie and Enzo are up to, as these characters are ones we have all grown to know and love! I would be ecstatic to have Millie and her husband as neighbors, but do their new neighbors feel the same way? Do you think Millie has left her secrets in the past after 10 years? There is only one way to find out! I give this book 5/5 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing! Loves the book! Great ready! Can’t wait for book 4! It took me a bit to catch my brain up, but Freida did it again!

All I can say is WOW! Freida did it again. This is a perfect ending to a great series. It was full of twists. When you think you have figured out, you’re wrong! The characters fit perfectly. Truly, I just loved everything about it! I can’t wait for everyone else to have the opportunity to read it!

Every single time.... I think I figured it out, but nope. I didn't. I can always count of Freida to write a story that keeps me locked in so that I forget I have responsibilities. This book was a little slower to start than her usual books, but so worth it the read.

Millie the made is back years later with her husband a two children and excited to move into her dream house. Only when she finally moves in her new neighbours don’t seem happy to have her there. Has she made a terrible mistake?
I have read all the books in this series, as well as many of Frieda’s other book, and you always know you are in for a twisty, crazy ride, so you can imagine how exited I was to be gifted a copy! This was another great addition to this series. It is best to read the other books first in the series to get an overall idea of the characters and back stories, although it can be read easily as a standalone.
I enjoyed the storyline and found that I read through it quickly, wanting to find out what would happen next. I enjoyed seeing some of the past characters coming back years later and seeing how their relationships had developed, as well as being introduced to some new, mainly unlikeable, ones. Although there were lots of twists I didn’t get that massive shock moment like I have with some of her other books and I feel like some of the sub plots weren’t completely resolved. Saying that, this was a fast paced, exciting thriller, which had me intrigued to carry on reading and definitely will be another hit for this author. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this copy in return for an honest review.

omg! thank you Mandy Chahal and poisoned pen press for the ARC. Well freida you have done it again. This book kept me intrigued since the beginning. I recommend this book 100%. You really got me with the plot twist like you always do.

Freida McFadden has done it again with another adventure for Millie. However, this adventure is definitely different with even more twists and turns for the reader.
The reader meets Millie and Enzo 11 years after The Housemaid's Secret. They are now married with two children and have just bought a house in a quaint neighborhood, featuring 3 houses, in (I mean "on") Long Island. One neighbor, Suzette, seems to take a liking to Enzo. Her husband, Jonathan, doesn't seem to care. She promises to help Enzo build his landscaping business outside of the city. Another neighbor is a recluse that watches the whole neighborhood and is the most severe helicopter mom around. She requires a copy of shot records before she will allow anyone to play with her son. Moving from the Bronx is a big adjustment and Millie must now worry about her family, neighbors, struggling to pay bills, and work. Cue a health scare. One neighbor suggests they use her maid, Martha, to help relieve some of the stress Millie is feeling.
Millie's vision for a happy home starts to deteriorate when Enzo starts acting suspicious and spending more time at the neighbor's house. Her son, Nico, starts getting into trouble at school and becomes more withdrawn from the family after spending time at Suzette and Jonathan's house due to breaking a window. Her daughter, Ada, just doesn't seem happy at all. Millie even catches Martha watching her every move and stealing from them when she cleans. Things take a turn for the worse when one neighbor is found murdered. When the neighborhood secrets come out, will Millie and her family survive or will her happiness come crashing down in the form of a jail cell?
Like all of the Freida books I have read, this one takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions and makes you second guess your gut instinct. You think you know, but your guess is all wrong! I think a lot of women can relate to this older Millie between worrying about her marriage, kids, and work. I absolutely loved this book and can't wait to read more of the Accardi family adventures!
A big thank you to @NetGalley and @Poisoned Pen Press for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This book is the 3rd book in the Housemaid series and it follows our protagonist Millie 10 years after the 2nd book. She’s no longer a housemaid and has moved into a home with her family. Alls well, until Millie meets a neighbor who rubs her the wrong way & secrets of this neighborhood start to surface.
For the first 50% of this book I was just waiting for something to happen. Unfortunately, it didn’t grip me immediately like other McFadden books have. However, once the 50% hits, the action is non stop and I couldn’t put the book down. I was able to guess the twists in this book (which is not my typical experience with McFadden’s books) but it didn’t take away from enjoying the read!

Received this as an ARC copy from Netgalley to read/review. Sometimes I feel like certain authors really stretch out a series and each book that is released is not as good as the previous, but not this one! Freida did an amazing job at hooking you in right away as always and made me love this book just as much as the first housemaid, if not more. It was great getting to read what Millie and and Enzo were up to all while meeting new characters with a few surprises from the past. Freida incorporated the past storylines from the first two flawlessly into this one, making it the perfect addition in the series. An absolute must read if you loved The Housemaid.

Thank you NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Publishing for an ARC of another winner by Freida!
Going into this book, I didn't REALLY think we needed another Housemaid book, but I'm so glad Freida wrote this one. I think it was such a good way to wrap up the series, and gave us a better look at Millie and Enzo's relationship.
What worked for me in this book:
- I love that we see the domestic side of Millie and Enzo, how their relationship progressed, and how they have pivoted from the first two books.
- I loved the setting and that the entire book was a bit of an unexpected departure from the rest of the series.
What didn't work for me:
- This book involves the abuse of children, and it didn't sit well with me. Freida's last book (The Teacher) also included abuse of children, and I hope this won't be a recurring theme.
- The plot was simplistic, and didn't grab me as much as some of Freida's previous reads. I would have also liked a bit more explanation on her strange, peeping neighbor, and the crimes committed by the Lowell's. The first 2/3 of the book seemed to drag a bit, and then the last 1/3 wrapped up fast with not much explanation.
Overall a good read, and one I will recommend!

First thanks to Netgalley and Pen Press for providing this book for my honest review.
I really do like all of Freida McFaddens books these books are what got me into thrillers. I have read the other books to the series but if I hadn’t I don’t think I would be lost. The book could stand as a stand alone but even better when you read the other books.
The twist in the book kept coming. I could not put the book down. I don’t know what I was expecting or what would happen but it was a great book. Each chapter had me hooked especially the second half of the book and I had to know what was going to happen next. It’s a must read!

Ugh!! Freida is one of my favorite but this one was a let down. At 40% I was thinking is anything going to happen. The twists weren’t that great or jaw dropping like normal.

Worth waiting for! Millie, Enzo and kids in tow get their own house. What could go wrong? PLENTY! One neighbor is nosey, and the other shamelessly flirts with Millie's man. The turmoil of moving mid school year coupled with trust issues and financial obligations are ingredients for the perfect plot twist! Freida has done it again and I devoured this story in one sitting!

Favorite line of the book, "The third in a series usually isn't that great..." Well, Ms. McFadden, congrats on a super twisty, fun ending to your third book in the Housemaid series. The "happily ever after" vibe was short lived and I couldn't wait to read what was going to happen during the move from hell.
Everybody was a suspect, I mean everybody....even the praying mantis. If you've read Freida books before, you know to suspect absolutely everybody from the start. It's almost as if she writes her books and then rewrites them so nobody will suspect the who dunnit in the end.
This middle aged working mom got hooked on reading again thanks to the first Housemaid book (like millions just like me) and I have enjoyed every single one of your books since. I'm satisfied with how it wrapped up and won't beg you for a fourth. Just keep writing and recommending your other favorites and I promise to keep recommending to every person I know.

I received an advance copy of this book and read it within 24 hours. Without giving away too much, make sure you read the first two books before reading this one. Usually when reading books from this author I have a theory or two throughout the book that turn out to be way off (she’s great at the shocking twists!) but this time I can honestly say I had ZERO clue where this was going until the very last few pages.

Well Frieda has done it again! I was sure in Part 1 I had no clue what was happening. Part 2 was an eye opener and I just knew what was gonna happen and who did it. Part 3 I was wrong! So so wrong! Part 4 I was still in disbelief! I have still yet to actually guess correctly on who and why! Freida does a fantastic job of keeping me on my toes! Now I’m sad this series is over! But I see some future from their kids! Great read!
