The Housemaid is Watching- Freida McFadden. Another Freida book and man did it not disappoint! 5+ stars for this one just as the other two in the series. I loved getting to watch Millie and Enzo’s story and the craziness that always seems to find them. The story kept me on the edge of my seat and couldn’t wait to see what happened next. As always I did not see the twist coming in her book! Can’t wait for my next Freida read!

Wow, what a thriller. I loved the third installment of the housemaid! Millie and Enzo are up to their old tricks again but this time they have someone else involved!

I have read more than a dozen freida books and loved them. This 3rd book in the housemaid series didn't disappoint. I did feel like the book was rhe slowest of all the other freida books I've read at the start. But once the twists and turns start getting revealed, it is quite impossible to stop reading. I certainly didn't guess any of the twists at all.
Thanks to Netgalley and bookouture for access to this arc in exchange for my honest review.

She got me again! I love the author’s books! In this story, Millie and her family move to a much nicer area and soon find out that a nicer area doesn’t mean it’s an ideal situation. When a murder occurs next door, the questions start. Who could have possibly done this? It’s probably not the person you expected! Loved it!

Great read! I love this series and was so excited for this book. There were some predictable twists so I debated giving it less than 5 stars but the end secured that 5th star. Freida rarely disappoints!

3.5 — 4🌟 — this is the 3rd book in the housemaid series and we follow Millie And Enzo years later, married for 11 years, and have two children together! they just bought their first home, their dream home, in a wonderful neighborhood, but Millie soon starts to get a feeling that the neighborhood isn’t as “wonderful” as she had hoped.
I finished this book in 24 hours and it was a page turner but I just had so much more hope for this. nothing “crazy” happened until the last 20% of the book and I thought it would be a similar storyline from the first two but it was not and I was a little disappointed by that.
I enjoyed Enzo & Millie’s relationship and seeing how far they came and learning about their kids & family life but I also was expecting more. regardless, I did enjoy it, it was a page turner & a quick binge able read!
thank you to NetGalley & Poisoned Pen Press for sending me an ARC copy 🖤

I liked this one! It’s not my favorite one of hers, but it definitely gripped me and I liked the connection to the other books! But, for me, the epilogues are always WILD but I didn’t think this one was as wild. Overall good book, good story, but I just was annoyed with Enzo being so shady with the neighbor!!!

Another 5 star from Freida! 👏🏻
Millie’s story continues 10 or so years later as a married woman, 2 kids, and moved to a house in the suburbs. Leaving her past in the city, Millie wants to give her children the childhood she thinks they deserve: a beautiful home with a yard, in a safe neighborhood, and good schools. But when she meets her new neighbors, she has a strange feeling in the pit of her stomach. Something just doesn’t seem right and Millie knows her and her husband would do anything to keep them and their children safe. Is it really safer in the suburbs? And can Millie’s past stay in the past?
I really enjoyed the time jump from book 2 to book 3 rather than book 3 being only a few years after book 2. This left room for callbacks to the first 2 books, but show the progression of the characters and sprinkle in new details that happened in between. Sequels can be hit or miss, but somehow Freida continues to deliver!

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!
The story opens with Millie, her husband, and two children moving into her dream house from their cramped apartment in New York. As Millie is thrilled at the idea of having a house, meeting her new neighbors does not leave a good first impression. While one seems to be flirting and hitting on her husband, the other is an overbearing and suspicious single mother. Both Millie and her husband have things in their past that they'd sooner forget, however, with the murder of their neighbor, all eyes turn to Millie's husband. Not all is what it seems to be on this quiet cul-de-sac of hidden pasts and deadly secrets.
This is the second book I've read by Freida McFadden, and I hadn't read the first two books of The Housemaid. I finished this one in a day. Was it fun? Yes. Was it good.... I'm still a bit out on this one. I got through this book fine without reading the first two for any readers who are curious. I love character development and getting to know and understand why characters act the way they do. There was definitely time spent in setting up the dynamics of the family and their relationships. What I think turned me off a bit was that after establishing these characters, the manner in which they act changes drastically. Yes, characters change, but Millie and her husband have also been together a long time so how they interacted with one another didn't make sense for me. We are creatures of our environment and how we respond to crisis, and this is what primarily what drives the plot and the drama of this storyline. People not responding as they usually would or making poor decisions while stressed. It just might be that I am more of a reader who needs it to make sense. If you enjoy this type of read, you're sure to like this one.

Absolutely loved it. Start is quite slow but by 50% the book gets deeper with lots of twists unraveling. Freida is the queen of twisty plot thrillers. Another 5⭐️ from her. Instant but author. Loved it would recommend the series !!!

‘The Housemaid is Watching’ follows Millie 11 years after ‘The Housemaids Secret’. Millie now has two children and is married, everything seems to be working out for her. Until she moves house to live her new suburban dreams and things take a turn for the worst.
I loved this third instalment in the Housemaid series, with the return of beloved characters, new twists and turns and an exciting plot.
I rate this book 4 stars as I enjoyed it a lot but not as much as the first two which I gave around 5 stars. This was due to me being able to guess the twists but that did not stop this from being an overall great read.

This is the third in The Housemaid Series and it didn’t disappoint. I love a good book series and seeing how individual characters progress. I was lucky to have access to the audiobook and the ebook and it’s a great read in any format. The start off is slow paced but it does build the suspense. Freida McFadden is a queen at weaving an intriguing storyline and there is many the twist and turn along the way. The characters are really loveable and there individual relationships with each other is something I really liked. If you have read the other 2 you will enjoy this one also.
Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture Audio for the opportunity to listen to and review #TheHousemaidIsWatching

I felt like this book was very different from the first two. The tone and pacing felt disjointed from the rest of the series. As a standalone, this could have been a successful domestic thriller. While I enjoyed seeing Millie and Enzo years down the road, I didn't feel that this book was cohesive with the whole of their story. I thought it was fine, but not amazing. A solid 3 star read after having loved the first two.

I enjoyed reading this book! This is final installment in the housemaid series & it was different from what I expected (in a good way)! Millie is still that fiery woman I love.
The only character that drove me crazy was Mrs. Lowell & her odd husband! The twists and turns left me shocked per usual. I stood up until 3am to finish, does that say how much I loved it?? Add this to your TBR now, you won't regret it.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Thriller Queen back at it slaying us like the mere peasants we are!
Recipe for intense suspense
1 Millie
1 Enzo
2 children
2 strange neighbors
A pinch of blast from the past
Mix until well combined.
Bake at low Temp for half a book then turn up the heat!
Drizzle heavily with twists and turns.
One bite and you're hooked and it doesn't matter what you think you know... You're 💀 wrong!

This wasn't my favorite Housemaid book but then again I don't think anything compares to the first one. It was obviously a very well written book and in true Freida McFadden fashion, the twists were amazing! I did truly enjoy this book, it just wasn't what I had expected. I'm hoping that there will be a fourth book or at least a spinoff series because that would be so much fun to read! Overall, I'm still giving this 4 stars because I did finish it very quickly, it held my attention, and I did enjoy it.

I was really excited to be chosen for an ARC of this book from NetGalley before it comes out in June. I had such high hopes and enjoyed being able to hear about Millie and Enzo’s life. I felt like it was slow and nothing really happened until the last quarter of the book. Not as many twists and turns than her books usually have and I was able to predict some of it which NEVER happens! It was still a good book but nothing like my favorites by her! Can’t wait for The Boyfriend to come out later this year!!

WOW!! As per usual, McFadden did not disappoint!! I loved the first instalment of “The Housemaid” series however the second fell rather flat for me. This third instalment certainly lifted the series back up for me!! I didn’t believe a single person and was constantly left guessing. The ending had my jaw on the floor and even had me shedding a few tears! I definitely recommend!!

Freida, Freida, Freida 😮💨😮💨 she has done it again but then again, does she ever not deliver??
I am absolutely obsessed with the Housemaid series and Millie. It’s so hard to write a review and not give away spoilers!! We all know when we read one of her books the twists always, I mean always make us excited and want to talk. This will grab your attention and have you hanging on till the very end. Devoured!! I couldn’t wait to see what happened with Millie and Enzo. They are the perfect couple, now parents and recently moved into a new house. Can they leave the past in the past?? Highly recommend, this book did not disappoint. I need this to be a TV series 😭😭
5/5⭐️

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this in exchange for an honest review. This one is a third in the series and I loved it as much as the first two! Freida continues to keep us in suspense and shock us with the twists! Millie and Enzo are excited to finally own a home and move with their two kids. But there are strange people living on this street, including the busy body that says be careful of your neighbors…..
