Everyone’s favorite maid is back – but she’s no longer a maid! The Housemaid is Watching picks up about a dozen years after The Housemaid’s Secret, with Millie and Enzo married with two kids and just moved into a house they can barely afford. To say that the neighbors are sus is putting it mildly; Suzette flirts outrageously with Enzo (right in front of Millie and even her own husband) and Janice is a paranoid mom who literally keeps her third grader on a leash. It seems danger just keeps following Millie, even to this quiet suburban cul-de-sac.

Right from the start, we know someone is going to meet their demise, as we are greeted with a bloody crime scene in the prologue. The first half is a bit of a slow burn as Millie and family settle into their new neighborhood, which sets up a sinister vibe for the whole story and introduces plenty of potential suspects. It definitely feels like a trust-no-one situation; even Enzo seems suspicious before long. The second half is where things really pick up, and things get crazy twisty. The perp reveal was a true jaw drop moment! I always know I am going to be shocked by Freida’s plot twists, and once again, I absolutely did not see it coming. As always, Millie is a great character, and I love her snarky and sarcastic inner monologue. Freida’s writing style is straightforward and engaging, and I zipped through this fast-paced popcorn thriller in just two sittings!

If you’re a Freida Readah, you won’t want to miss Millie’s return in The Housemaid is Watching! Many thanks to NetGalley, Bookouture, and Sourcebooks for providing me an advance copy of this book.

Was so excited to get this book early. Loved it! I didn’t think there could be a perfect series of thrillers, but this was perfection.

YA'LLL!!!! She did it again!! I am so sad that this is the last book of the Housemaid Series. I just knew I had this one figured out, like I would have bet $$$ I had it all solved, per usual Freida through her amazing twists and more than one this time it was like a domino effect of twists one right after another! I read this one in 2 nights! This book starts out with Enzo and Millie married with two children and are moving to a new town. They have two sets of very odd neighbors, and one is set has a .......you guessed it HOUSEMAID!! This Housemaid ends up also cleaning for Enzo and Millie as well....Millie doesn't know the housemaid but the housemaid knows Millie. Somehow the neighbor across the street ends up dead and his wife is in love with Enzo and there is some questionable behavior between the two when the husband comes up dead.. So who killled him??? Was it Enzo? Was it the neighbor's wife? Was it Millie? Was Enzo having an affair with the snooty neighbor? Did I mention the other neighbor who has her son on a leash at the bus stop daily and criticizes Millie for being a working mom, but warns her about a missing boy and their neighbors not being good people? I feel like I shouldn't reveal any more just read the book!! I have read multiple thrillers but Freida is one author I haven't been able to figure out her twists prior!

Millie just moved into her fixer upper with her husband, Enzo, and two kids, Ada (11 yo) and Nico (9 yo). Their new neighbours seem judgemental and nozy, but she finds no reason to turn down dinner invitations and play dates. But things start getting weird real quick. Why were they able to get the house so cheap if nothing is wrong with it? What are the noises Millie keeps hearing at night? Why can't Millie trust their new housemaid? What's happening with Nico? What kind of hardships are the neighbours going through?
This psychological thriller is book 3 in the Housemaid series. Not my favorite in the series, I have to admit, but still a quick and entertaining read. Was it predictable? Absolutely (I have cracked the Freida McFadden code). Was the first third way to slow paced? Yes. Did the ending fall a bit flat? Yes. Are there several plot holes? As per usual. Did I still enjoy it? Also yes.
I received an advance review copy of this book for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

*CRACK* That is the sound of Freida McFadden knocking it out of the ballpark!!!!! The Housemaid Is Watching is an addictive, riveting, tense, and thrilling page tuner in the Housemaid series! I had a hard time putting this book down as I was completely dazzled by the story! I loved the drama, the mystery, the doubt, the secrets, and the lies! Plus, there is the warning "Be careful of your neighbors" . Nothing feels more welcoming than being told to be on your guard!

Fans of the series are going to love this book! I also highly recommend reading the first books in this series (The Housemaid and The Housemaid's Secret. That way you have all the background on the characters. Having said that, I do feel that this book would work as a stand-alone but again, read the first two books. They are fantastic!

Millie, Enzo, and their children Ava and Nico have moved into a home in a nice community. This is HUGE for Millie as she used to clean people's homes for a living. Now she has her own home. With it comes neighbors. There is one odd one who watches all her neighbors from her living room. Then there is Suzette and Jonathan Lowell. They have a beautiful home and you guessed it, a maid who is giving Millie strange looks. Enzo is also getting some looks from Suzette who can't keep her eyes off her handsome and buff new neighbor. Millie is not very happy about the attention Suzette is giving Enzo, but Suzette promises to help Enzo get new customers.

Oh boy! This book kept me on my toes and turning the pages. Just when I thought I had this book figured out, Freida McFadden threw in some twist and had me rethinking my theory. I had so much fun with this book. I was lucky enough to have both the book and audiobook versions of this book which made for an incredible reading experience. If you enjoyed audiobooks, the narrators of this book were fabulous.

Freida McFadden is a brilliant author who has a knack of placing me right in the heart of the book. I felt as if I were a silent observer in all the scenes. The characters were fantastic. There were likeable ones, some questionable ones, and ones I loved to hate. This book was such a fun and dramatic read!

A brilliant addition to the Housemaid series!

Thank you for this ARC! I always enjoy Freida McFadden and this book really felt like she wrote it for the fans. With characters from both the first and second books and the epilogue explaining who Martha is, it feels like Millie’s story has come full circle. Never thought a Freida book would make me feel warm and fuzzy!

I loved this book!! I couldn’t stop reading it, took me 24 hours to read and that’s only because I have to eat and sleep. I want to thank Netgalley for the ARC.
I really enjoyed the returning characters as well as the introduction of new characters. This book could be read as a stand alone but I believe you would get more out of it read The housemaid and The Housemaid’s Secret first. The twists in Freida’s books never disappoint. Even after all is said and done and the story is wrapped up, the epilogue always has something else you didn’t see coming. I am not saying much about this book because I hate reading reviews that give too much away and then I am not an eager to read it. If you love Freida McFadden this one is already on your TBR! I can’t wait til The Boyfriend releases in October, I have a few of her books left to read to tide me over.

Another 5 star book from Freida McFadden! The 3rd book in this series takes place 11 years later. Millie & Enzo have moved with their 2 kids into a new neighborhood and home, and this is where the action begins.

There are a few different storylines that are intertwined and run together nicely.
In typical fashion, there are twists and turns, some you may see coming, some you may not! I enjoyed this book more than book 2 in the series, and really felt it was a fresh, fast-paced storyline!

Thank you NetGalley, Freida McFadden, & Poisoned Pen Press for this ARC of The Housemaid is Watching.

Thank you so much to Bookouture, NetGalley, and Freida McFadden for the chance to read this ARC of The Housemaid Is Watching!!

Here, we are picking up with Millie and Enzo 10 years after we last saw them. Happily married, with two children, they are making the move from the Bronx to their dream house ON Long Island. Everything is better in the suburbs...or is it? Millie finally has the quiet, peaceful life she has always wanted for herself. So why does everything feel so wrong? I don't want to give anything away, so I will just say that I LOVED this installment of Millie and Enzo's lives. I devoured this book from the second I was notified of my ARC approval until the very last word 28 hours later (stupid job anyways). Even after the move ON to Long Island, there were reappearances by some characters from the previous Housemaid books, as well as the additions of new suspects, err characters from the Cul De Sac. Thank you, Freida, you've done it again!!

Wow!!!! THIS BOOK DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! As always Freida knocked it out of the park! As the third book in The Housemaid series I was worried the story would feel drawn out. Instead, I couldn’t put this book down and it sucked me in instantly!!! Millie and Enzo’s story + references from their past + adding in new and reoccurring characters = GENIUS!! YOU 👏🏻 MUST 👏🏻 READ 👏🏻 THIS!!!!

I’m a big Freida fan and was not disappointed! A great read. Fast paced. An enjoyable read. My only negative was the twist didn’t shock me like they usually do. But it’s definitely worth the read. Thank you so much for the opportunity.

I gave the third version of The Housemaid Series 4 stars. I have read all of this author's work. This book was not as exciting twist and turn-wise as her usual novels. I did enjoy it though! Freida always keeps us guessing and this book also featured this element.

Our Thriller Queen Freida has done it again. She has given us another novel full of twists and turns.

This time we are 11 years down the road, Millie & Enzo have moved to Long Island (ON Long Island if you need corrected), with their 2 beautiful children, hoping to leave the past far far behind them. They move into a huge house compared to their tiny apartment in the Bronx and begin to live their new life, But little do they know the secrets that this house has in store for them and remember, nosy neighbors are always watching.

In this book we are met with several different story-lines and Freida has intertwined them so perfectly. The twists and turns we are presented with will have you turning the pages faster and faster. Just when you think you have it figured out, in true Freida fashion, she throws in another curve that will leave you reeling.

I love that this book is a perfect exploration of the idea the seemingly perfect neighborhood can harbor hidden dangers adds a layer of psychological depth that elevates this thriller above the rest.

I am a huge Freida McFadden fan & read every books she puts out. I absolutely love that she gives us 5 star book after 5 star book while still working a full time job as a doctor specializing in brain injury. I truly think her background gives her the perfect space to create these amazing books.

Thank you NetGalley, Freida McFadden, & Poisoned Pen Press for this ARC of The Housemaid is Watching. I cannot wait for Freida’s next book!

Freida McFadden has done it again... Omg. Like the first and second books in this series, I could not put it down! And I definitely couldn't have guessed the twists!!! Are you kidding me??!! In The Housemaid Is Watching, we see Millie and Enzo quite a few years later, with a family of their own. They recently moved into a new home, and that's when the trouble starts. I don't want to spoil anything, so you'll just have to pick it up for yourself to find out! This book was a quick read, and I definitely recommend it if you're a fan of Freida McFadden! Her work is amazing!

Just finished my ARC copy and I’m at a bit of a loss for words. I loved the first book and really liked the second, but this one I’m not really sure about yet. I may need to think on it for a couple days. When I first started reading I fell right into it and the first 20% sucked me in, but then every character started irritating me. I didn’t figure out the twists completely but by the time they were revealed I almost didn’t care. The book was very well written and I’m a huge Freida fan, but I just didn’t like this one. I’d say 3.5 stars, and I hope there’s another book for Millie because I’d hate to end the series with this feeling. I may come back and update in a couple days after I think on it a bit more.
