It’s all here in this book.
How can love conquer this?
Will it?
Or will it stir up a hornets next.
Yes I did it again.....this is book 3 in this series all based around a Mining community.
Easily be read as a stand-alone though.
Reviewing old arcs, have tried to read but couldn't get into. Won't be trying again so no formal review will be posted on social media.
There's something fascinating about a Romeo and Juliet type of story and this one delivers. Set in Minnesota in the late 19th century, with two Italian immigrant families, this story covers all aspects of emotion, including love, hope, betrayal, addiction, poverty, and loss. I really enjoyed the setting and loved visualizing the way the American mid-west was back then.
It seems that the more feuding families try to limit and control interactions between each other, the more intriguing the "enemy" seems and I loved watching this couple follow their hearts.
Although this is a part of a series, it stands alone, as different characters are focused on.
Content: mild romance, mild violence, mild+ religious elements
