1800's frontier. More time with a warm, loving family, woven with strength of faith - the conclusion to the series. Faith is determined to find the Peigan Blackfoot Indian woman who had saved their father years back. Grant was searching for his brother in an area that was still vast wilderness. Through hardships and danger, they find a new relationship with each other, each having strengths to help the other.

Faith and Grant embarked on two separate journey’s each searching for someone dear to them. Faith is fulfilling her dying father’s last wish and Grant searching for his younger brother that was separated from him when they were younger. When their paths intersect, they join each other and they both find what they are seeking and much more. Misty is a great story teller and her novels are filled with historical facts, faith in God, and family bonds. The scene that touched my heart the most was when Faith was praying and asking God what she could do and God whispered “Not you but Me!” It reminded me of how often have I received direction from God in a quiet whisper and did not recognize the answer. Thank you, Misty, for another heartfelt novel that I did not want to see end.

With a protective hero and a spunky heroine on a dangerous frontier quest, Rocky Mountain Journey delivers all my favorite elements of a western adventure! The third book in the Sisters of the Rockies series gives us Faith’s beautiful journey to confidence, purpose, and love found in Jesus Christ. Of course, a strong hero with a protective streak doesn’t hurt the story any! Grant goes through his own emotional and spiritual journey while falling head over heels for Faith and trying to keep her safe in the dangerous wilderness. Readers of the series will be happy to see the search for a family friend continue— the same search that brought mystery and suspense to this series and love to the Collins sisters. I adore seeing glimpses of happy endings from prior books while getting to see Faith’s story unfold in this third book. If you love adventurous westerns with a good dose of romance, this entire series is for you!
Thank you to Bethany House Publishers for this copy! My thoughts are my own, and I really did enjoy the book.
I love the characters, Faith’s determination and spunk endeared me to her. With the long journey she embarks on there is a romance that grows drawing the reader into the story all the while keeping you entertained by the quest she is on. Danger meets her at every turn keeping you on the edge of your seat. In the meanwhile, God is being woven into the story in such a beautiful way that it touches the heart and inspires the reader. God, family, and love bring this story to an end that kept me only wanting more!
Was given a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.
This was my first book by this author, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a lovely story of faith, perseverance, hope, loyalty, and the life-changing power of love.
Faith Collins made a promise to her father as he was dying to return a necklace to the Peigan Blackfoot woman who saved his life several years ago.
She’s determined to keep her promise and not let anything stand in her way, so when her sisters are unable to help with the quest, she takes off on her own.
Faith disguises herself as a man to join a group of trappers traveling to the area where the woman is living. With the group is Grant Allen, who’s also searching for someone—his brother he was separated from at the death of their parents. Grant soon discovers Faith’s real identity, but understands the importance of her mission, so doesn’t reveal who she is, but he’s determined to help and protect her at all cost.
Along the way they face danger and mishaps, which kept me turning the pages. So did the sweet romance that grew between these two wonderful characters.
Things I loved:
Strong FMC
Protective MMC
Adventure & intrigue
Faith elements
Beautiful setting
Engaging storytelling

This is book three in the Sisters Of The Rockies series and can be read as a standalone, but I really want to know more about the other characters now.
Thank you to NetGalley, Austenprose PR, and Bethany House for a digital copy to read and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
“How many other times in her life had she received direction from God, and simply hadn’t recognized it? And then she’d blamed Him in her heart for not answering—every time.”
Misty Beller brings us yet another story of one of the Collins sisters in Rocky Mountain Journey. I have come to appreciate Beller’s great storytelling of the 1800s American West, almost always centered around beautiful Rocky Mountain scenery and horses in some capacity. Another outstanding mark of Beller’s novel is that Rocky Mountain Journey and other of her novels tell about trust in God. Neither Faith nor Grant, the couple the story focuses on, possess faith when the novel starts, but both slowly realize that their need dictates a second look at their attitude towards God. It’s rather unusual that Grant, who has yet to believe, at one point tries to call Faith back to her original belief. “What your sisters have is real. It can be real for you too. I don’t know how to find it, but I think if your heart is open . . . if you ask Him, God will be there. He’ll answer you. Every time. It might not be in ways you expect, but it will be Him answering.”
I really became curious about another couple and their romance, so I hope that Beller is laying the foundation for the fourth sister’s story.
The other aspect of Beller’s novels that I especially enjoy is that there is often a good intercultural connection. There are a couple different ones in this novel, and I must say, White Horse and Steps Right are my fave secondary characters.
I received a copy of the book from Celebrate Lit via NetGalley. I also bought my own copy . No positive review was required and all opinions are my own.
Notable Quotables:
“It is only a possession. It carries memories, yet if it is lost, we have not lost the memories. We carry them within ourselves.”
“God was the only one who could keep any of them truly safe.”
This was a good one. I think I missed book one, and I do think I’d love this one more had I read that one. But this was nice. I thought it was a nice plot and I enjoy how this author crafted the characters. I am a fan of this author and I will continue to read her works!
Imagine nearly 200 years ago… it’s 1839 and settlers are moving farther West from the central areas of St. Louis into the unknowns of Wyoming. The main character, Faith Collins, and her sisters are one such ranching family that moved West and set up their roots in the hills of Wyoming. It was their Father’s wish and even more so, Faith is on a mission to find the woman named Steps Right, that gave their father a set of beads when she saved his self near twenty years ago.
But Faith’s sisters are busy running the ranch and raising families. They are not nearly as driven to find this woman as Faith is, so she takes it into her own hands – dressing as a man and joins in with a trapping party that will be traveling near all the locations that Faith needs to go in hopes of finding Steps Right.
In this journey, Faith meets Grant. A man on his own mission with the trapping party, to find his younger brother that he hasn’t seen since they were children.
Faith and Grant have so much in common with their missions, but also in their spirits and interests. It’s no surprise that they’re drawn to one another in ways that neither of them understand fully yet.
An adventure through the wilds of Wyoming to find loved ones all while reconnecting with their love for God as well.
I love reading books by this author. She always delivers adventure and good characters. In this story we see a deep faith develop that helps characters through difficult moments. Faith is determined to fulfill her father’s dying wish. She must return the beads to the Piegan family but some of her family don’t see it as an urgency.
Grant wants to find his brother but needs a direction to go. When a trapper gives him some information he is ready to take a journey to find Will. You can see how two characters will connect and join forces to achieve their own goals. I kinda chuckled as Faith comes up with a silly idea and joins a group that will hopefully get her to the person she seeks. Grant looks at her kind of funny like he has seen her before. Oh did I mention that Faith has dressed as a young man now?
What a treacherous adventure this story is. Danger awaits our main characters as they travel together. I love how the author brings the scenery to life as readers feel like they are riding with Faith and Grant. I couldn’t wait to see how the book would end. Another great story by a great author who has achieved the gift of storytelling and heightens it with every book.
I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit. The review is my own opinion.
"Rocky Mountain Journey" is a beautifully-written book from author Misty M. Beller! This is book 3 in the "Sisters of the Rockies" series. This book follows Faith's story! The historical setting was described very well! The author has done great work researching and providing details that make the story feel vivid and the characters feel three-dimensional and like real people. The story is enthralling! I could not stop reading! I just had to see what would happen next in this book. The speed of the plot is great, the writing style is beautiful, the story feels original and new, and the themes explored including: family, friendship, and love are expressed very well! This is another must read from author Misty M. Beller! This book is mysterious, enthralling, sweet, and fun! I really enjoyed the romance in this book, too. I very highly recommend this book and series! Especially if you enjoy historical fiction and historical romance. 5 stars!
Thank you very much to the author Misty M. Beller, AustenprosePR, and Bethany House for the wonderful opportunity of being a part of this book tour and for providing me with physical and digital copies to read and review honestly.
This is the third book in the series. This time it’s about the third sister Faith! I love Faith she is such a good getter. She wants to get the task their deceased father gave them accomplished so she decides to go off on her own, with a group of trappers, disguised as a man. Grant, who is in search of his younger brother, is also with this same group of trappers. He meets Faith, dressed as a man, but soon figures out she is a woman and helps her keep her cover and complete her task. I loved both Faith and Grant. I loved how much Grant took care of her and helped her. I also loved the strong Christian faith elements throughout the story as the characters themselves struggle with it at times. Overall, a great story an d I definitely recommend! Can’t wait for book 4!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author and netgalley. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
Get ‘er done Faith Collins made a deathbed promise to her father to return an heirloom necklace to the Blackfoot woman who saved his life many years before. I admired her courage and determination to strike out on her own since none of her sisters were able to help find her. She didn’t let anything stand in her way to keep her word.
I enjoyed the relationship that developed between Faith and Grant Allen. When Faith disguises herself as a man to join a group of trappers, and Grant discovers her real identity he was admirable in allowing her to continue her quest. As long as he could protect her. The dangers they face will keep you turning the pages and anticipating a happy ending for them.
Things to enjoy:
Spunky FMC
Adventure
Dangerous men
Faith of the characters
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book provided to me by the publisher through NetGalley and Celebrate Lit. All views are my opinion. I was not required to write a positive review.
I find these mountain stories in the early 1800s by Misty M. Beller so very interesting. Rocky Mountain Journey was set in 1839 in the Green River Valley which would eventually be Wyoming. Faith is one of four sisters that together they established a ranch in the Green River Valley. Faith has a mission that won’t let go in spite of her sisters needing her help on the ranch. Their father’s last dying wish to Faith was to find the Indian woman, Steps Right, and give her the necklace that she had given him. Steps Right had found their father many moons ago and kept him alive until help could come.
In order to search for her, Faith disguises herself as a young boy so that she can travel with some mountain trappers. The leader of this group can pinpoint possible areas where Steps Right may be. This is an arduous journey that tests Faith to her limit almost. When Grant Allen joins the group to begin his search for his long lost brother, will her cover be blown? All kinds of troubles follow the group both human and animal, but Faith is determined. I admired her tenacity and grit and her strength. A story I won’t soon forget.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher through Celebrate Lit but was not required to write a review.
As the youngest of four sisters, Faith feels it is up to her to find Steps Right - after all the other sisters have many responsibilities. Joining a group of men that are heading west could prove to be very dangerous for a young lady dressed as a man.
The adventures and dangers are many and are sure to keep you reading to see if they will even survive, never mind find Steps Right. With lots of lovely views in great detail, the author makes you feel like you are right out there in those wild Rocky Mountains.
An early copy of Sisters of the Rockies, #3 was received through Bethany House Publishers, Baker Publishing Group and NetGalley. These thoughts are my own and were in no way solicited.
This is a great series and I loved the first two books and highly recommend them, but this is my new favorite. The author took the story on a journey that kept me wondering what would happen next. Not to give away any spoilers I’ll keep my review generic. It’s so well written and the characters are thought out and interesting. The mystery and unknown kept me guessing and the faith needed to survive was inspirational. This is a great story and I loved it. There is a tease at the end of the next book that is coming and I’m excited for it too. I love these strong women and how they live and love each other. I highly recommend this book.
‘Rocky Mountain Journey’ is a fantastic conclusion to the ‘Sisters of the Rockies’ trilogy. I have read the first book, but not the second. I didn’t feel like I was confused at any point, but I would recommend reading them in order to fully experience the series as intended. I absolutely loved the sneak peek of Elsie and Goes Ahead from a previous series.
Faith and Grant meet while they’re both trying to find different people. Faith didn’t feel like her sisters were going to keep their promise to their father, so she disguises herself as a boy to join up with a trapping group. I really loved her determination to see this through, even if it was a little reckless for a single woman to set off with a group of strangers.
Grant is searching for his brother, Will, and quickly realizes the young boy with their group is actually a woman. He promised himself that he would keep her safe.
If you’ve read a Misty M. Beller book before, you know they’re full of trials and adventure. ‘Rocky Mountain Journey’ is full of obstacles Will and Faith have to overcome before they get their happily ever after. The romance was so sweet. I loved every minute of Grant and Faith’s journey together. I loved how they helped each other learn to put their trust in God and rely on Him to supply what they need.
Rocky Mountain Journey by Misty M. Beller - 4 Stars - Book 3 in the Sisters of the Rockies Series
This series has been a series of faith, perseverance and the transformative power of love. I have really enjoyed reading through this series and look forward to more of her books in the future. At its core, this story is descriptive and paints a beautiful picture of the Rockies and the perilous conditions faced by the characters. Following one of the sisters introduced in the series, Faith, pretends to be dressed as a man so she can embark on a journey to find the Peigan Blackfoot woman who once saved her father's life. Along the way, she joins a group of trappers, in hopes they can help her. She meets a man, Grant Allen, who is also searching for his brother and Grant becomes suspicious of Faith right away. The story takes of from here in their journey together.
I really liked Faith's resilience to find this woman and take up this journey. We really see this life of what it would have been like during this time for the characters. Grant was also a really great guy - he is always there to help along the way. The faith content in this one was really nice too.
If you like a good, clean historical romance series, I recommend picking this one up.

Readers who enjoy early American frontier stories will like this novel. The third in the Sisters of the Rockies series focuses on Faith, the youngest of the sisters. I loved reading about life in the Rockies. Faith and her sisters have so much strength and determination. The characters come to life as the author weaves this tale. Recommended.
I can't believe how Misty Beller keeps coming up with stories that hold your interest right to the very end. I have read many of her books and I think this is among one of her best! I enjoy books that inspire you and Ms. Beller's books do exactly that. The characters come alive even though this series is a long long time ago, the characters are facing the same dilemmas we face today with our faith. It is so easy to think that God isn't there because you pray and don't receive right away. I don't want to give any of this story away, and the book description tells you what it is about. Join Faith and Grant as they ride the wild frontier, as they face dangerous situations, as they make you laugh, you as you fall in love with the people they are. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read an advance copy of such a great book. This review is my own honest opinion.
I think out of all the journeys taken in this wonderful series this one is my favorite.
You just may never know what the Lord might hand you in life.
Or who I should say.
To me, and for me, this particular journey of Faith's took me on an awesome adventure and it felt more heart searching than ever.
God, Faith, Love, family and prayers are what will help us through the hard times.
I just loved this book so much and I wished it didn't have to end.
I'm hoping more comes along.
I'm sure Faith will have more to add lol.
White Horse is still my favorite character. I hope Rosie will treat him right. And his mom, I wish she could have her own story. She deserves it! I would love to know more about her and her heritage.
5 stars for an awesome adventure.
I highly recommend this series.
My thanks to Bethany House publishing and Netgalley for a copy of this book
