Rocky Mountain Journey by Misty M. Beller is the third book in the Sisters of Rockies series. Faith Collins masquerades as a man when she joins up with a group of trappers while she is searching for Steps Right. Steps Right is a Blackfoot woman who had saved Faith’s father’s life several years ago. She wants to return a set of beads that she had given him and thank her for saving his life. Grant Allen also joins that same group of trappers. He is searching for his brother. Danger awaits them during their journey!
Rocky Mountain Journey is my favorite book of the three in this series. The story is not only romantic but is also full of suspense while also including a few Christian messages!
Yes, I jumped in at book 3, but this was easy to enjoy even without having read the first two books. I would still recommend reading in order because I feel like the author includes lots of things in each story that are placing things for the next ones (which I truly enjoy because it makes me so excited for the next book)!
Read if you like:
❁ Hidden Identity
❁ Forced Proximity
❁ Life in the wild
❁ Sweet romance
❁ Protective hero
❁ Christian Fiction
Even though I haven't read the previous books in this series, it was easy to understand everything and I really wanted to know more about the other characters mentioned, which is always a good sign with series like this!
The story was nice, you get a bit of a grumpy/sunshine vibe going on with our MCs and there is a bit of hidden identity as well, which I always enjoy. I loved the forced proximity with this set-up in the wild and the protectiveness our MMC had over our sweet FMC. There is just something about life in the wild and all that was happening that I truly enjoy reading about. Plus, with this one, you get these life in peril moments that are sure to make the relationship between our characters evolved quite quickly and beautifully. (Nothing like being on the verge of death to bring out all the honesty!)
The tension between our main characters was there and I truly enjoyed seeing them try to fight this pull there was between them. They were both determined on their quests, but also compassionate and understanding which are qualities I adore seeing in books. The scenery depiction was immersive, the action was there too and the characters had a great evolution which all made for a captivating story.
If you enjoy Christian Fiction, this series feels like a must!
Thanks to AustenprosePR, the publisher and NetGalley for my eARC. All opinions are my own.

I was blessed to receive an eARC of Rocky Mountain Journey from Celebrate Lit Publicity Group, the author, publisher, and NetGalley. I am not required to write a positive review in any way or for any reason. My honest and unbiased opinions expressed in this book review are my own. My review focuses on the writing style, the pacing, and the story’s content, ensuring transparency and reliability.
The Collins sisters adventures continue in this third installment of the Sisters of the Rockies series, set in the late 1830's American frontier. The story centers around Faith, the youngest of the four sisters. She is impatient to complete the task given by their father. It was his final wish that they find Steps Right, the native Indian woman who save this life many years ago. But she has seemingly disappeared in the wilderness, a world filled with trappers and frontiersmen.
I loved Faith's grit and determination, her ability to face the unexpected challenges that come her way. Her journey brings adventure and danger. But also, an unexpected friendship with Grant, a young man who is searching for his brother. As they join forces, they each find this is also a journey of faith.
Misty Beller is a gifted storyteller, with beautiful prose that brings the American frontier to life within the pages of her stories. With an expertly paced plot and a wonderful cast of characters, readers of clean historical romance will find this a must read.
While it is recommended that the books in this series are read in order, readers will find that the author has woven details of the overarching plot of the series into this book so that they are able to enjoy each as a standalone.
***I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author/publisher thorough Netgalley and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
What a wonderful journey the Collins sisters have taken to find Steps Right the woman who saved their father’s life. In a world full of trappers, Indian tribes, frontiersmen, danger, and adventure each one finds the person God intended for them, and for them to be.
While painting a vivid picture of the western frontier, Misty digs deep into the soul of each character, connecting them to the reader, and clearly illustrating the love of family, strength of friendship, and abiding faith that resides in each one.
This book has plenty of action and kept me engaged throughout. It was hard to put down as I was so invested in Faith and Grant’s story as well as the overall outcome. A highly enjoyable book, I recommend.
I was given a copy courtesy of Bethany House through NetGalley. This is my honest review.
This is Misty Beller's 3rd book in the Sisters of the Rockies series. Faith and Grant meet as they are both on a journey to find someone. Grant is looking for his brother and Faith is looking for the Peigan Blackfoot woman who once saved her father's life. The journey starts at different places for each person, but they end up together. This story is about how God is able to move people in the direction that they need to go. It's very well written and a great book to read. I highly recommend it. I give it 5 stars!
I did receive a copy of the book from the publisher, but this review is my own opinion.
Rocky Mountain Journey is the third book in this series by Misty M. Beller, and it didn't disappoint! Beloved characters appeared and you got to see a bit more of their life, which is always enjoyable in a series, as well as sending a new character on an adventure of her own. Faith Collins was a protagonist I wanted to cheer for, and I was curious what would happen with a certain older sister who has been around throughout the series. I find Beller's books to be light, easy reads, without more intense plotlines while still keeping me entertained, and this book fell under that catagory. I did find that the overall character arc was more satisfying than I have seen in other books by this author; all the little character quirks and flaws were resolved by the end of the book. Overall, Rocky Mountain Journey was a fun historical read that brings me back to the days of mail-order brides and covered wagons.
I received a complimentary copy of this book, and all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
This is the third book in Misty Beller’s series, Sisters of the Rockies. It picks up about a year after the end of Rocky Mountain Promise. I recommend reading the earlier two books first, if you haven’t already, since they share main characters, and the three books tell one whole story.
There’s a journey through mountains (but no snow this time), various plot twists to keep you on the edge of your seat, and falls of various kinds (waterfalls, off cliffs, in love…) Once again, I stayed up way too late reading the book, and really enjoyed it.
One description says this is the conclusion to the series… I hope there’s a bonus epilogue covering a few of the plot lines that I’d like to read more about!

You are loved and valued by God.
Grant’s and Faith’s journeys teach them that God does answer prayer and works in every detail of life. He really cares for His children. Throughout the pages, there is danger, reunions, doubts, and peace. You will meet old friends, gain new friends and family, and solve a long hidden mystery. Grant and Faith’s romance is gentle and slow; it isn’t the main focus but grows as the characters grow.
Definitely a story I would revisit! I received a complimentary copy and these are my voluntary and honest opinions. I was not required to leave a positive review.
This was definitely an early western clean romance! It fit the bill just right, and had plenty of interactions between trappers & Native Americans, some trying to do what was right, and some choosing lives of selfishness on both sides. I love how the teachings of Christ were acted out by the characters that were the focus of this story in the series!
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of this book.
Enjoyed the whole series but this was probably my favorite. I can always visualize the beauty of this countryside by the words that describe it. I have never been there in person.
I thought the stories of their pasts and what brought them to this stage in their lives was very good. I like reading books by Ms. Beller. She always keeps my attention.
