Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! No spoilers. Beyond amazing I enjoyed this book so very much. The characters and storyline were fantastic. The ending I did not see coming Could not put down nor did I want to. Truly Amazing and appreciated the whole story. This is going to be a must read for many many readers. Maybe even a book club pick.

Tijan can write sports romances like NO OTHER. Seriously, they are amazing. and she gets all the stars in the world for the crossovers and consistencies in the worldbuilding she has created. PROPS. MAD PROPS.

My Anti-Hero isn't really a sports romance. The hero plays football, but that isn't what the story is about. It's about a serial killer. Billie and Brett have a meet cute that is caught on camera, but then he thinks she is a gold digger and breaks it off. Once he realizes he was wrong, he tries to win her back. The beginning of the story is a lot of will they/won't they which I didn't care much for. Once you get past that, the killer/stalker is the main focus.
The mystery behind who this stalker might be and is the wrong man behind bars is the focus of the story. I loved how protective Brett was of Billie, and I appreciated that Billie recognized the danger. My Anti-Hero is filled with the suspense and twists of a thriller, but with the love story of a romance. I thought the beginning was a bit slow, and it is a LONG book, but once it picked up, I was sucked in for sure. The narrators are amazing-Andi Arndt and Teddy Hamilton are narration royalty and they do not disappoint.

There's something about Tijan's words. They grab you, and hold you. Bret's story needed to be told and I'm thrilled we got it.
Also, the audio? Epic winner .. Andi and Teddy nailed it

thank you to netgalley for the advanced reading copy. I really enjoyed this and will be getting copies for my shop.

This could have been a 5 star but it felt like it was stretched far too long so there was a lot of filler. However, I really liked that this wasnt just a football story and it wasnt just a boy meets girl love story. This had a deep message about murder, abuse, death, suicide, abandonment, and more and those elements made sense. I feel we almost connected to both character sbut somthing i cant quite placed kept me aloof.

When Billie makes her first and well awaited TV interview, she nearly trips right in front of Brett, a famous football player, meant to be on the same TV show just a couple segments after her. Billie loves football and Brett is big and broody but the last thing Billie wants is to use Brett for his fame or money.
As their strained relationship grows, Billie must decide if a life in the spotlight could be possible for her or if she should let it go. But before she can, suspicious things linked to Billie's past start to happen again.
This book was very dramatic and was much too long for what it was. For a book this length, you'd hope for more details but the characters were very one dimensional and were written very basically. I was not invested in all the mystery that went on in Billie's life and as it continued to climb and climb for more reasons and answers, the final answer was so disappointing and unsatisfying, and not in a good way. It felt like a waste of time to write so much to give us that.
Thriller/Mystery/dark themes were definitely not in Tijan's strong suits.
2 stars but an extra one for the narrators.

Billie is a survivor. She literally survived the Midwest Butcher, a serial killer. She was the love survivor. She helped bring him down. Years later she decides to go on a show to talk about it. This brings Into the sights of bad boy Brett Brouduo. The two of them take us on an emotionally charged roller coaster ride. We get character growth, great characters, chemistry and a wonderful story.
I admired Billie’s strength and resilience. Brett the football hero, with a larger than life personality was just what Billie needed. He had dark past but was protective, possessive and caring towards Billie. Their romance ended up being sweet and supportive.
Tijan’s books are always a bit angsty. This one will definitely have you stirred up and turning pages. Highly entertaining.

If you love spice and mystery and thrill, this book is for you. Lets not forget about the football player! Though Tijan is a staple in the romance genre, I haven't really read or listened to many of their books but I think that is about to change. The few that I have read I loved and My Anti-Hero was no exception.
Willow a.k.a. Billie is the only survivor of the Midwest Butcher and after her escape she has laid low and stayed in hiding. That all changes when she decides to be interviewed and in the process runs into the Kings new defensive end, Brett Broudou. When he saves her from a fall, the two instantly connect despite Billie being unsure of really wanting to re-connect with him on a date. Brett Broudou has worked through a tough past as well and though he has his own secrets, he is ready for knows he can do anything and everything to show Billie he can be the man she needs to keep her safe and he may just end up being her Anti-Hero.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the free copy of My Anti-Hero by Tijan in exchange for my honest review. I loved the narrator and the dual points of view.

This was my first Tijan book and it had me hooked from the beginning! A girl that survived a serial unaliver and the main MC is an NFL player? I ate that up.
The story was sad and tragic at some points, but also entertaining at other points and the stress of the serial unaliver was there too. I loved seeing Brett take care of Billie. I thought his character was the best. He was protective and caring, obsessive and everything I love in an MMC. Billie’s character was great too, but I struggled with her immaturity in some points, but overall she was just recovering from a traumatic past.
Seeing their relationship progress was wonderful and the epilogues gave me life! Bht the last line of the epilogue had me reeling!! I need more and I need it now 😅
The audio was FANTASTIC. Teddy is a phenomenal narrator and he did a wonderful job. I also loved Andi and she really captured Billie’s character well. They both portrayed the story beautifully.

Teddy Hamilton and Andi Arndt’s narration is excellent. Definitely brought the heat.
This starts with an insta-lust meet-cute which usually isn’t my favourite, but I could get on board with it in this context. Two people who have suffered trauma connect instantly. I think when you think everything is going to be taken away, or lost, you throw yourself less cautiously into situations.
I think it’s probably important for people to understand that Tijan writes OTT situations and characters and so the OTT instalust situation wasn’t a surprise for me.
What threw me though was the suspense element and I felt like it had a lot of sub-plots and not all of them were resolved, or they were resolved off page and we were just told what happened. I feel like we were told a lot of things and not shown.

I wasn't sure what to expect going into this book, but I was pleasantly surprised! I enjoyed this slow burn, romantic suspense, grumpy x sunshine, opposites attract, sports romance.
I really liked these characters. They were complex and had traumatic pasts that shaped them into the people they became. Billie was strong, resilient, and independent. Brent was the bad boy who fell hard and fast for the good girl. These two were perfect for each other and I absolutely loved them getting their HEA. The writing and ending were amazing and I could not stop listening to this audiobook.
Andi Arndt and Teddy Hamilton were phenomenal in this book. They voiced the characters so well and really added to my enjoyment of this book.

Wow! This book really took me by surprise! Don't get me wrong the romance in this book takes the center stage but the drama that unfolds is really what made this book hard to put down.
We start out with a nervous survivor making a TV appearance (which is really uncommon for her- she values her privacy) and she runs into a football legend. Sparks fly and there is romantic potential but can they both set aside their concerns and worries to make it work? While the romance is developing there is sinister drama unfolding. The ending took me by surprise and I was really shocked at my inability to put the book down. I will definitely be picking up more books from this author.
I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a romance with a hint of more. Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read this story!

I really enjoyed this one - it combined two things I love, true crime and romance! And Tijan did it well
The narration was good, easy to listen to.
I have become a big fan of Tijan and plan to work through her backlist

When serial killer survivor Willow “Billie” Harm trips on her way to the stage to be interviewed by a local news show, Texas Kings star Brett Broudou caught her. Billie has sworn off dating as part of her reclusive life, but after her interaction with Brett, she is ready to rethink that decision. As putting herself in the public eye brings danger, Brett could be Billie’s Anti-Hero.
This was my first book by Tijan, and it will likely be my last. The characters made such stupid decisions at times, that would go against the way their character usually behaved. I also am not a fan of male love interests who don’t like the woman they like be around other men ever, and the way Brett treated Billie gave me major red flags. They didn’t seem to have much to build their relationship on beyond physical attraction. <spoiler>If Billie’s brother’s body was never found after her mom and brother’s car accident, it seems like he shouldn’t have been declared dead.</spoiler> This book just wasn’t for me.
Many thanks to NetGalley for providing me with an audio ARC of this book.

First thing, Teddy Hamilton is my favorite male narrator. His voice is like liquid chocolate, I swear.
The story itself -- I went into this one blind. I have never read a Tijan book and did not expect this to be a romantic suspense. That's fine, I'm good with thrillers. I loved the story.of the two MCs the chemistry and all the feels. But the suspense part was a little, much for me. I felt like we should stick to one genre or the other for this particular story.
I do want to read more than, but the romance ones!

Tijan’s storytelling, Teddy Hamilton and Andi Arndt narration, SAY LESS!! The narrators truly did an awesome job bringing even more life to this beautiful story! I could not stop listening! Romance mystery on a whole new level! I was totally here for it!!
Brett and Billie’s story was packed full of twist. An intense read. I say go in blind and enjoy the ride!!! I can’t wait to see what’s next from this author!! This book definitely leaves it open for some of our other characters from our Fallen Crest realm. Can’t wait!! 5 out of 5 stars!
A huge thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ALC in exchange for my honest review. Definitely worth the listen!

Tijan thinks of some off the wall scenarios and this one definitely fits the bill. It’s actually a very interesting concept and makes for an interesting part of the story. Beyond that, he’s hunky and protective over her even at just meeting. As with all of Tijan, it’s spicy and wonderful.
🌀Synopsis
Billie and Brett get off on the wrong foot, literally. He catches her when she starts to trip and thinks she’s beautiful. As soon as they sit down for a date though, things go very wrong and Brett lets his intrusive thoughts win. He’s convinced she’s a fraud and ends the date abruptly, which is, unfortunately, caught by cameras. To save his image, he needs to apologize to her. That’s easier said than done for a girl who doesn’t get out much and doesn’t share her personal information. Many years ago she survived a mass murder and since then she tries to lay low. He manages to track her down though and immediately becomes protective of her. He’s going to take care of her but there’s something from her past that he just can’t prevent.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for an advanced audio of this book.
In case you were looking for a romance with a football hero, a serial killer, the serial killer’s survivor, a hidden identity, and a farm with chickens, here it is!
Our heroine, Billie, has a hard past. She was the only survivor when the Midwest Butcher came to kill her best friend’s family. She grew up without her parents and brother, but has landed on her feet. She works as a graphic designer, she lives on the remote property of the family who took her in when she had no one, and she has a hoard of chickens that she loves dearly.
When tripping her way off the set of an interview, she falls into the arms of Brett - a football star. He also happens to have a past that he would rather not come to light as well. Their insta-lust comes to a full stop when Brett assumes Billie was paid to literally fall into his arms, to get close to him only to hurt him.
We follow Brett and Billie through their relationship, but also through a million side stories. I, at times, had a hard time following what storyline was what, and what book I was even listening to. I think it could have been paired down a bit, specifically with Brett’s family.
I did really like ending, and while considered that possibility, I thought that I was way off base. Overall, an interesting read and a great premise.

Absolutely amazing. The narrators were perfection for this story and I think it was one of Tijans best yet. I found myself just stopping and sitting there listening to it even when I was done with my normal tasks I listen to during audio books.
