In the mood for a grumpy-sunshine, bad boy hero – I was thrilled to get my hands on the audio of My Anti-Hero. Tijan delivers a compelling, fascinating story – filled with romance, sexiness, and suspense. I loved the connection between Brett and Billie, and his growly domineering alpha role satisfied that grumpy bad boy craving. I also loved that Billie was no wilting violet and I adored the found family subplot in this. It delivered some of the sweetest moments, and I loved how those relationships grew and strengthened over the course of the story.
You can’t go wrong with Andi Arndt and Teddy Hamilton. They were perfection as narrators in this story and really brought it to life for me. I honestly am not sure if I would have enjoyed the story as much in written-form, and so it’s safe to say that the narrators bring some kind of magic to the story.
In all, this felt a little bit like a guilty-pleasure read. I really enjoyed every salacious minute between Brett and Billie. I enjoyed their connection and the suspense – which I half guessed, but was wrong about enough things that it still felt satisfying. If you’re looking for something sexy and soapy – with stellar narration – don’t skip this one!

This was such an interesting book right from its very first scene and chapter. The author had indeed captured my attention right from the beginning with the characters expressing their dark past along with the current themselves falling in for eachother but the past peeking into them.
The book is divided into two timelines, yet the past section is well penned down and it doesn't overshadow the present or current status of the book.
This is my first read of the author, now definitely going to check out the other works too.

Billie and Brett have the cutest meet cute. Brett Broudou caught her has she tripped on national television. Brett is a football player, Billie is the only survivor of the Midwest butcher. Now there is a copycat and no one is safe. Andi Arndt and Teddy Hamilton does an amazing job bringing these characters and their emotions to life. I was at the edge of my seat towards the end and trying to guess the truths of the Midwest Butcher.

Y'all. It's 3:30 in the morning and I just stayed up to finish this audiobook. We are throwing a T&T themed super bowl party tomorrow and this alpha-hero, NFL player with a famous girlfriend was the perfect romance to listen to while pulling the decorations together.
This was my first romantic suspense in A WHILE, and my first Tijan. I am definitely going to read more of her books and explore this genre more. I ate this up and want seconds.
it's giving:
-good girl/bad boy
-NFL player
-she's the lone survivor of a serial killer (kinda notorious)
-romantic-suspense
-she's defo undiagnosed neuro-spicy (which we LOVE)
-insta-lust/insta-love, which we usually hate, but the #boyobsessed hits so hard it's completely forgiven
-LOTS of twists (predicted some, but definitely not all!)
-red herrings galore
-bone-chilling thrills
-HELLLLLLA spicy (some light bondage) and lots of domination
-possessive and protective af hero
-healthy communication standards
-goat yoga
-found family
-did I mention it's a steamy book?
-lines that were so cheesy but so hot I went from rolling my eyes to giddy giggles in the same breath
If you're looking for a spicy book that will keep you on the edge of your seat, I 110% recommend this one. My Kelce-Swift fangirl, true crime podcasting loving heart LOVED it so much.
ALSO, THE AUDIOBOOK?!
We all know and love and seek out Teddy Hamilton (and he delivers in this one). But Andi Arndt CRUSHED IT! I will now be looking for more books narrated by her. A new favorite voice for me.
Thank you NetGalley, Valentine PR, and Dreamscape Media for sharing this audiobook for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

I absolutely devoured My Anti-Hero by Tijan. It was captivating from start to finish and I loved it. Loved it. I read the book while listening to the audiobook and was completely engrossed. Narrators Andi Arndt and Teddy Hamilton were absolutely amazing as Brett and Billie. This is an emotional, angst-filled, sports romance with an amazing found family vibes and a thrilling romantic suspense story. I loved this story so much and highly recommend it.
Billie was absolutely amazing and I loved her. She was afraid to live and let love in, in any way. She has lost so much and opening herself to others seemed too big. She was the only survivor of an infamous serial killer and dealing with that at times was too much. At the same time, she was so caring and open to those she cared about. Brett was so strong, determined, protective and a total alpha. He also did not let anyone in. Ever. But something about Billie was drawing him in.
The way they met was totally unexpected and with an instant attraction on both sides. I loved the reaction they had between them for each other and how they were constantly drawn to each other. And the way he pursued her? I just loved that. Add in their own personal histories and you have very complicated and flawed characters I absolutely adored. Their journey was full of surprises, twists that I never saw coming and had me devouring their story.
Happy listening!

WHAT. A. WHIRLWIND. OF A STORY! The romance, suspense, mystery and chaos was wild! I felt like there were more plots than necessary, but overall I really enjoyed this story! I loved Billie's strength, and Brett being an absolute SIMP for her was wild! I WISH I had read the Fallen Crest series before this book because I feel like Brett's backstory may have been more understanding - but I still dont think I missed out on his storyline having not read it. We get so much of both of the characters in a perfect way!

Audiobook review: narrated by Andi Arndt and Teddy Hamilton
5 stars for story / 5 stars for performance
This book is amazing!! These characters are everything! The way the author writes their internal monologues really gives them so much personality and depth. Billie is an amazingly strong yet vulnerable woman and her story is heartbreaking and adds so much angst to this story. Brett is what book boyfriend dreams are made of. The way he is instantly smitten and protective over Billie is endearing. As for the plot…hand on tight because this is so suspense and exciting. The way we are always wondering and the plot twist is crazy good.
Of course listening to this on audio elevated the experience a thousand percent. Teddy Hamilton was perfection as Brett and Andi Arndt really lands the emotional performance of Billie. I ran though this book so fast because I could not stop listening!! I highly recommend listening to this one on audio.

I typically don't enjoy books with over the top, emotion provoking premises; I usually feel like it's an easy cheat to tug at emotions but I really enjoyed this story. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an opposites attract story.

Willow aka Billie is about to do a tv interview being the only survivor of a serial killer. But her nerves are getting the better of her. Like a hot mess, her clothes are getting sweating and makeup ruined. Lol omg this reminds me of going to job interviews. Anyways, as she walking to the makeup chair she passes by Brett Broudou room to promote a charity. But the shy woman sees interred him until she spouts his stats. Which he doesn’t know that her foster dad and brother-in-law loves to watch football and she got into it. To calm her and her chickens and tight net community that is fiercely protective of her,
Billie likes to go by Billie because her younger brother couldn’t say Willow, so he was able to say something at sounded like Billie. Anyways, after Brett dismisses her because of her accurate stat knowledge he thought she was working with his sister to trap him. He got angry. The following day the team Pr rep came and asked him about an edited film if it was true that he manhandled the beloved survivor. If so he had to immediately rectify it. Learning she is bit of a recluse. Denying any interview. Her family is firefly protective. And where is is suspected to live, Al,pst followed there was an older man with a shot gun that shot out the tires of the reporters making them afraid to proceed. Will Brett be able to find her and apologize? Also, can Billie finally be able to do,e out of her shell? She is trapped so,stokes on that unimagable night where her friend and her family lost their lives. Then 2 days later her mother, and brother died in a crash. Since she went on the tv interview the supporters of the serial killer is reaching out. Making her worry, but there is someone copying the killer. Now getting to those Billie loves and knows.
This got me a bit confused about a potiential love interest for Billie Travis and what the heck with the mention of some Fallen crest couple, Mason, Steele Reeves. Anyways I enjoyed listening to the audiobook. He ending got my thinking all sacked and kept saying I knew it and surely I didn’t. Take it slowly and diagest everything

3.5/5
Thank you to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for allowing me access to this audiobook.
Andi Arndt and Teddy Hamilton did a fantastic job voicing these characters.
This book was very unexpected. What I thought would be a sports romance ended up being more of a thriller and mystery. There was a romance involved and while I am not a fan of instant love, the main characters had great chemistry and the heat factor was high. You could feel the intensity of their attraction and the borderline obsession they developed for one another.
There is so much going on in this book, one traumatic event after the other. Abandonment, abuse, drugs, murder, and stalking to name a few. I felt like Brett was under developed. We never really dived into his back story. I thought that his family dynamic story went off the rails a bit. Billie's story was solid and intriguing enough without all thr other storylines going on.
While it was a bit messy, it overall captured my attention and I found it to be full of twists and turns. With the voice actors completely comitting to the story, it was well worth my time.

I received this as an ALC from Net Galley & Dreamscape Media.
Teddy Hamilton & Andi Arndt narrated it. They are two of my favorite narrators and they knocked this out of the park. I’ve listen to the two of them before many times and I always loved how they worked well together. This was no exception. The emotions they pulled just made me even more connected to the characters.
Anti Hero is a romantic suspense with some football in it. Here we meet the FMC Billie Harm who had something traumatic happen to her when she was young. The MMC Brett Broudou is a football player who also has a dark past.
Billie is a a recluse after dealing with the trauma she suffered and Brett is a famous football player who was part of the Family Crest series and will do anything to protect his love ones.
I loved their meet and cute and even though their relationship was sweet and loving there was dark things lurking and I loved seeing how they dealt with it. I was rooting for the two of them cause they both were dealing with things in their past.
I thought Tijan did a great job with the suspense and kept me wondering what was going to happen. I couldn’t put it down. I loved everything about the writing and the narration. Overall this was an amazing audiobook.

I wasn't so sure about this one given the cover. The cover does NOT do this book justice! This is absolute perfection. I was hooked from the very first page.

Who would have ever thought I’d fall for Brett Broudou? Not me, that’s for sure. Yet after only a few chapters I could feel myself falling for his charm, just like Billie. Together they were combustible, I love Tijan’s quirky characters, they’re always my ideal perfectly imperfect, and just a little mixed up in the best of ways. It’s my normal, and that’s how I like to think of Billie, as my normal. That said she’s had a very traumatic childhood and I must say she was pretty level headed considering. Lots of action, suspense and surprises in the mix. A little bit on the dark side, I loved it. I did not see that ending. Shock Horror!!!
Andi Arndt and Teddy Hamilton, two of my faves, I could listen to them all day, and I practically did. They were perfect as Brett and Billie. If I could give a book 10 stars, this would be it.
I received an advanced copy of this audio book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

I need to be upfront about a thing or two.
The chicken love in this one was hard for me to swallow. I have a JUSTIFIED fear of these winged beasts, but my respect for their namesakes outweighed my loathing of them.
I loved this book. I loved the suspense(even though I was wrong almost about everything, except for the end.) I loved their relationship, and the way they were just down for one another. I love the found family that Tijan gives me in every single book, the cameos from characters I already know and love, and that even after all these years, I don’t think I’ll ever be tired of the FC universe.

ALC REVIEW! 🎧📚🖤
Chickens? Hot football players? Serial killer mystery? Sign me up! Teddy Hamilton and Andi Arndt take us back to the fallen crest world with Tijan’s My Anti Hero. Brett’s story. We met Brett back in Mason and Samantha’s story in the Fallen Crest Hugh series. Back then he was a bit of a villain of the story but getting to see him grown up and have his chance at redemption and a happily ever after made my heart so happy! Over all the performance of the audiobook and the story all together was a 5⭐️ read for me. The twist and turns. The emotions. The gasps I gasped! When Teddy Hamilton and Andi Arndt come together it’s always magic. I really enjoyed this book!

I absolutely love this author pretty much every book she writes I love them. They are some of my favourite books . So when I read that she was doing Brett Broudou book I couldn’t wait so soon as hit my kindle I jumped right in I was hooked from page one and I have I got the audio as well and I absolutely loved it. Specially, with Teddy Hamilton yummy, so it was nice to be back in the fallen crest and dusty stone Reeves . I don’t wanna give too much away and that’s the last thing I wanna do ,so you could say, you guys are in for wicked ride

I'm a huge Tijan fan, but I had a really hard time getting into this book. I loved Brett and Billie's characters, but plot was just a little slow for me. The narrators are my favorites, so the narration was spot on.

Brett and Billie had a meet cute moment that made headlines. Two complete opposites that clicked in a single moment. This book entices a reader with each page and never lets them go! Billie will absolutely pull every single heartstring and you’ll be desperate to find out what happens next.

Ahh this one was so good!! I loved how Tijan mixed an excellent romance plot in with the suspenseful mystery. My Anti-Hero utilized dual POV between the two main characters, Billie and Brett. Also, I loved both narrators!

An original story that I really enjoyed!

The heroine: Willow (a.k.a. Billie) - she was an introvert that lived mostly like a hermit, though she still agreed to be interviewed on a local news channel for something that happened to her years ago. She was so nervous she was sweating like crazy, and she had to be made up and touched up again before going on. She does graphic design from her home. Though she can be around people, she was a foster kid who found a family that liked her and raised her till she turned eighteen and she lived in their guest house.
The Hero: Brett - he is the latest star of the Kings football team, a defensive end. They had won the Super Bowl last year. He was tall, muscular and broody. He never played football in hight school but was recruited by Cal U after a scout saw him playing football with friends. He ended up being a first round draft pick and spent years with Kansas City until he came to the Kings last year. He was at the station for an interview.
The Story: Billie nearly fell on her way onto the set, in front of the cameras and Brett caught her before she hit the floor. She covers well, by telling the interviewer that she can be clumsy sometimes. Billie is on the show because when she was twelve, she was the only survivor of the serial killer, the Midwest Butcher. She was able to get through the interview and spoke to Brett in the elevator out of the building. That is when he asks her out on a date. Though something goes wrong, and things don’t work out.
I liked both of these characters; they both have tragic backgrounds but have overcome them rather well. I liked the way Billie stands up for herself despite her slightly shy and introverted personality. There were also some great supporting characters in this book including Billie’s foster sister and her husband, Channing Monroe from The Boy I Grew Up With, Stone Reeves from Enemies and Mason Cade from the Fallen Crest series.
The story about Billie being the only survivor of a serial killer was much more involved than I thought it would be and I won’t go into that much since I don’t want to spoil the book. However, it was very interesting to me. I really liked that storyline. This book more than held my interest throughout the entire thing. There were some surprises that I never would have guessed and some that I suspected all along, but overall, it was an original story that I really enjoyed.
This audiobook was told in dual points of view via dual narration. It was narrated by Andi Arndt and Teddy Hamilton. These two are both very good narrators and two of my favorites. They are both great at showing emotion through their voice and have very pleasant-sounding voices.
