This is definitely instructions. I do not like either of the notes apps recommended in here but it doesnt give more than one option per type of user. But once you have one of the apps and have it all logged in, the instructions are easy to follow. Thank you for providing this for those of us who are not technology savvy!

I wouldn’t say it’s super necessary to have but it pairs really well with the journal. I’ve never digitally journaled before so it was really helpful to have a bit of a guide

Neat little guide on how to use the reading journal provided by NetGalley! Helpful overview before using the journal.

I didn't realize this guide would be for use with an external app, but the idea of a Netgalley reading journal is really nice and will keep me organized.

Although I do not think this User Guide is essential to being able to use and derive value from NetGalley’s Reading Journal, I do think it is a good enhancement. For those who are unfamiliar with the concept of a digital reading journal, this user guide explains the concept and value of tracking your reading.
There is definite value in the User Guide’s discussion of note taking apps for using the Journal. I think my natural instinct (having read the Reading Journal first), would have been to simply print out the Journal pages (which is still a viable option!) or use Google Docs, but the introduction to Xodo has opened up a whole new world of digital note taking for me! This guide has everything you need to get your Reading Journal set up properly in either Xodo (Android and WIndows) or Goodnotes (iOS and macOS).
So thank you NetGalley and We Are Bookish for this awesome guide!

This was super helpful to read and helped me get everything set up. I have never used a reading journal before, so this helped me understand how to set it up and also how to use it.
Stars 5/5

Thank you for the gifted journal! This will make tracking my reading so much easier and will force me to be organized!!

Thank you for providing a user guide for the NetGalley Reading Journal. It was very informative and exactly what I needed to better understand how to use the tool.

This user guide is simple and answers user burning questions regarding the journal! Definitely a helpful guide with not too much information to overwhelm readers!

This user guide definitely helped me a lot; initially, the journal itself was quite intimidating! This was informative, specific, and relevant: all the things I need a user guide to be!

I have never had a book journal before, so I was really excited to have this opportunity to start one that is digital. I'm glad that there is a user guide to help assist me with any questions I have and how to get started.

This is a comprehensive guide to implement the NetGalley Reading Journal. It completely bipartisan. It covers iOS/Android and Mac/PC so everyone can use it. I was thinking of tracking my reading outside of Good Reads in 2024 and this digital resource will help me track things though I think I'd like to use a physical notebook, ultimately.

I can’t believe I am just now finding this!!! I do everything on my tablet and use good notes everyday. This is such a helpful step by step guide to be able use my tablet as a reading journal. Thank you We Are Bookish!!!

A good instructional book never hurts particularly when you are just starting out here on NetGalley. Helps you understand how to best use NetGalley

The NetGalley Reading Journal User Guide by NetGalley's blog team, We Are Bookish, offers simple steps to using the NetGalley Reading Journal.
The guide was easy to follow and provided clear instructions for all device types. Huge thank you to the NetGalley team for making this available!

What a lovely guide! Thank you so much "We Are Bookish" team for putting this document together and making it available to reviewers! <3

I really like having a journal to myself that’s not online to put my reviews thoughts into. This is such a fantastic little tool to get started!

‘NetGalley Reading Journal User Guide”
I have read the guide and it appears to be comprehensive and very helpful.
alas I am not a journal keeper. I do keep a log, with details that are pertinent to me, of all the book/story Titles that I read. A function I can do in my log is to search by title or author which does not appear to be possible in this journal.

This is a very helpful Reading Journal User guide, without this I would have messed up the setup for editing the pdf file.
This also shows tips for using the pdf platforms for those of us who needed to download one. I used the guide and with information provided managed to find the Xodo app for computer, so now I can edit and more importantly, insert information into the appropriate places.
I'm glad I downloaded this with the journal.
NetGalley needs 1/2 stars, too.
I'm putting the guide at 3.5*.

I'm glad that this user guide exists, as it is very helpful in getting the journal set up and ready to use. Recommended for anyone using the journal as it will make everything much easier.
