Three generations of Annas live in a small town in Germany. They all have to deal with forms of isolation related to height. Anna 2 and Anna 3 are exceptionally tall and Anna 1 had a very tall dog.

If that description gives you a weird folktale kinda vibe, then you're getting it. This is very much a folktale told in a stripped-down comic book style with expressive linework. It's a great format and the art and story work well together.

This was a strange and wonderful graphic novel. Beautiful art helps to tell the stories of the Annas, and the Annas tell a familiar story of feeling strange in your own home, and learning to embrace it.

Anna is an adorable graphic novel traversing 3 generations of women, exploring their body size and trying to find where they fit in the world. As a tall woman, I found this GN very relatable and funny. I truly enjoyed the art style and overall writing.

A big thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the copy!

Anna is a funny little graphic novel about three Annas who live in the countryside of Germany. Each Anna is taller than the last and for this reason they are outsiders in their village. It feels a bit like a fairytale, which is a fun reading experience, and the illustrations are quite colorful and funny.
