Well darn, that ending has me hooked. This is a quick, easy shifter/paranormal office romance with a great cliffhanger ending and just the right amount of angst. While the beginning was a little slow, it quickly picked up steam 😉🔥 overall 3/3.5 stars.

Brick: Alpha werewolf millionaire who owns his own company

⭐️ Lover tension
⭐️ Badass & intelligent FMC

⭐️ Billionaire boss

⭐️ Ends on a cliffhanger

Brick dislikes humans, but when Madi comes to work as his assistant, he’s starting to change his mind. He’s obsessed with her smell, & his wolf makes it harder to stay away. He has an obligation to his Pack to mate a she-wolf, but his wolf & Madi make it harder & harder for him to NOT want her. Will he be able to stay away?

Okay, I devoured this book in a day! I was hooked from the beginning & couldn’t put it down. It was an easy read with just over 200 pages. I’ve always loved alpha werewolf books, and this one was *chefs kiss! I loved the tension between Brick & Madi. I loved that Madi was a badass FMC who didn’t cower or back down from Bricks Alphahole tendencies! Highly recommend reading & can’t wait for book 2!!

Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a good story but I had problems at times with the shifter aspect of the story. That though is on me because I did not read the description of the book all the way. so because of that and though for the most part the story was good and though I don't read books like this I am thinking that people who like these books will like this one. The characters are good and the story is very good as well.

That cliffhanger 😭

I didn’t know going in this was a trilogy, but all the same, it ended up being quite a fun read. I love Brick’s alpha-holeness and as much I liked Maddie, she got on my nerves a time or two with her stubbornness. Aside that, i really loved than as couple and enjoyed their bantering.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quick, fun and steamy paranormal office romance.

Excited for the next book 🤗

This book is the first one from the “Werewolves of Wall Street” series; I expected the book to be a standalone paranormal romance, with the next books following different characters- and I was so, so wrong🤣 the ending of this book gave me anxiety, I literally thought that I received an incomplete version of the ARC ok😭 so yeah, that’s for the cliffhanger (a bit abrupt though).

Let me start with Brick Blackthroat (I laughed at the name, too- but it turned out it was very fitted for the character):
Billionaire, CEO, werewolf, Alpha of his pack and a grumpy man ofc😅 what I hated about him was the fact that he always kept seeing Madi as his assistant rather than anything else, even when they were in bed together. I get it, you’re denying to everyone and yourself that she’s your mate- but she’s definitely not just an assistant ok- I wished and imagined for an alpha to be very assumed in his decisions and thoughts.. and I was a little disappointed🥲 what I loved about him was that he was not overly protective and he let Madi fight her own battles, admiring her in the process.

Madi was amazing. A strong FMC, sassy and smart-mouthed, but with a questionable sense of style if you ask me🤔 women still wearing those terrible office dresses to work in 2024? Not for the feminist in me and definitely not for impressing a man, sorry; other than that, I feel like Madi offered too much saying she’s not expecting nothing in return, when she actually did expect a lot in return- meaning she fell for him and waited for him to act like her bf by the end of the book (which was not the case after 2 nights and some flirting if you ask me). Loved Madi for her mind and her confidence, I giggled all around the book at her sassy replies 🤭

The happening of the book was nice and well written- I read it extremely fast because of that; the spice is nice, nothing over the top but steamy nonetheless 😮‍💨 I will definitely be reading the next book because I refuse to believe that Brick will continue to deny that they are FATED MATES (he will literally die if he refuses the connection ok).

He has two main expressions: a surly glade and a disgusted glower.

My attraction to Madison isn’t rational. She is definitely something special, whether my wolf loves her delectable scent or not.

Let’s examine the facts. Rich asshole who seems to hate everyone but you. That’s kinda hot.

Ruby insisted I bring someone, and you’re the only one I can stand.

Fuck, Just what I need is half of Manhattan high society gossiping about me having an affair with my assistant. Is it an affair when you’re not married? Or is it just corporately unethical?

That sound like Madison. Working hard to provide for the ones she loves. I understand that sort of drive. I’d sacrifice everything for my family, my pack, too.

In a world full of humans, we monsters need to stick together to keep our existence a secret.

Madison makes me think before I go for the throat. I try to see things through her eyes.

In this novel we are introduced to a powerful business magnate, Brick, the alpha of his pack, who finds himself challenged by his new assistant, Madi, a human who is unafraid to question his authority. The tension between them is palpable, with Madi’s defiance and Brick’s growing attraction to her creating a volatile mix. Brick’s inner wolf is awakened, and he finds himself increasingly tempted by Madi’s presence. As the story unfolds, it becomes clear that his control is slipping, and he may not be able to resist the primal urges that threaten to consume him. This steamy read is sure to captivate those who enjoy a blend of passion and power in their romance novels.

Feuding werewolf shifters! Take my money!

Renee Rose and Lee Savino created a believable world where shifters exist in hiding, and the Big Bad Boss is intrigued when his new assistant can do things others can’t, such as challenge him or look him in the eye. From this small impudent skill builds a scorching hot romance. So hot that I didn’t even complain about the clifffhanger ending, and my friends would tell you that THAT NEVER happens.

Read this fun story. You’ll enjoy watching the supernaturals come out to “play”.

I like to meet books where they are, which is why I'm giving it a four star rating instead of lower. It is exactly as I wanted it to be: A werewolf alpha who works on Wall Street for whatever reason is extremely rude to the majority of his employees, and somehow the new human assistant is the only person to ever stand up to him and get away with it. I love boss/employee workplace romances, and honestly adding werewolves is like it was shouting out to me specifically. I am not afraid to admit I went through a werewolf phase on Wattpad that never stopped.

While I enjoyed the experience of reading, I feel like I'm going to have a hard time following a trilogy for this storyline. I think the specific genre it is in lends itself better to an interconnected standalone series, which is what I prefer so yes I am being biased. I am personally not attracted to reading about the same couple over the course of an entire romance series, but as this has werewolves and thus an underlying plotline I am intrigued and will most likely end up reading the second book.

All that aside, I noticed many grammar mistakes. I'm not much of a stickler for grammar mistakes in books, but in this case there were enough where I had to pause.

Would I recommend this book? To a very specific audience, yes. Do I see myself ever rereading it? Probably not. Did I enjoy it anyways? Yeah, I had a good time.

Family is everything to Madison. Madison has been lucky to have an anonymous donor pay for her schooling, probably her dead beat dad, but when her younger brother needs financial support to go to College, she decides that she will get a job and give him the opportunity she has. She takes a job on Wall Street, figuring she can use that experience to write her thesis while earning enough money to help her brother. She gets hired as the assistant to the assistant of Brick Blackthroat.

Brick has a habit of firing assistants left and right. His current assistant has only been with his company for three weeks. But Brick and his executive ps have a big secret. They aren’t just high powered business men, but part of a werewolf pack. And Bricks bigger secret is he’s the Alpha. And his biggest business rival happens to be another pack.

When Madi walks into the conference room, Brick is overwhelmed by her scent, it’s intoxicating. Will Madi last 30 days? How will she react if she discovers his secret? Can he tell her? And how long will it take him to discover why she smells so tantalizing? And why does she notice his smell so distinctly in the beginning?

The story is pretty hot 🥵
Steam 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

The characters are pretty developed. I loved Madison’s bff and how fun she was. I enjoyed Madison pushing bricks buttons, constantly testing the limits. I like the different layers of Brick. How he is with his family, friends and then how he loses control with Madison. I enjoyed the playfulness of Madison and how Brick reacted. Not sure how I feel about some of the pack mates.

Madison ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Storyline is good. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Funny moments ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My only negative would be that I did not know it was a cliffhanger, so I was surprised and sad to see it left with so many questions unanswered. I will definitely add this author to my list as I really want to see what happens next.

Quick Summary: A "Bad Boy" shifter romance

My Review: Big Bad Boss: Midnight by Renee Rose and Lee Savino is book one in the Big Bad Boss trilogy.

About the Book: A human woman with a secret past of sorts gets a job on Wall Street. Her job is as an assistant to a CEO, who just so happens to be a shifter and the alpha of his pack.

From their initial meeting, Madison Evans and Brick Blackthroat have an intense awareness of each other. They are both able to keep matters purely professional until... Now, the closer they get, the more he begrudgingly realizes they should be apart. Why, then, does his wolf desire to claim her as his mate?

My Final Say: Book one in this fast-paced, unputdownable paranormal romance was sensational! Every element was captivating. The character chemistry between Madi and Brick, the wolf circle, the family drama, the mysterious death of the patriarch, the brewing conflict between the two rival packs, the unidentified spy who is a mole - all of it made for great reading. What I know for sure is that there is more than meets the eye to this shifter novel, and I am well and truly hooked.

Other: That ending!!! When can I expect the next installment? Please and thank you.

I read Big Bad Boss, I am not normally a shifter style reader, however I found this book to very interesting. I love Madi and Brick together and I am already read for the next book to be out!

Absolutely flew through this book. I loved Madi and her stubbornness. Brick grew on me but I’m dying for the next one with such a cliffhanger.

Unfortunately I couldn't get through this whole book. I rarely ever DNF a book but this was one of them. The characters straight off the bat was just not it. We all know how expensive uni/college is and working as a secretary's secretary was a bit of a stretch for her financial goals. The MMC name and attitude I just couldn't deal with. Seeing the words "sprout a chub" in reference to the MMC boss seeing his new employee (FMC) or 10 seconds is just too much. There is not build up at all.

Oh my goodness… this book gave me all the swoon vibes!! The plot was laid out well and executed beautifully. The only complaint I have is that I want more!! The ending happened way too soon. Definitely pick this book up for a bittersweet paranormal romance!

The attraction between the main character's is instant from the first second he sees her he's attracted to her although he doesn't yet know it. The spice in this book is absolutely phenomenal but at the same time not too much for once sitting Typically I stray away from books like this because the fantasy aspect just doesn't appeal to me but with this book i just could not stop reading!

Big Bad Boss by Renee Rose and Lee Savino is perfect for a wolf romance reader. The storyline addicting, the characters are amusing and refreshing. Also, the cliffhanger makes you screaming. I literally screaming "Noooooooooo" at the end of the chapter. That's how obsessed am I to the book. I almost had a heart attack.

✅ Wolf/human/mate
✅ Boss/secretary
✅ Forbidden love
✅ High sexual tension level
✅ Plenty of Spicy scenes: intense (spanking involved)
✅ Angst
✅ Suspense
✅ Heart breaking moments
✅ Tear jerker
✅ Cliffhanger

Madi is a sweet sister who sacrifice her education for his brother and choose to be a secretary to pay her brother tuition. When it's come to being a secretary, Madi perform perfectly. However, the challenges come in form of her Big Bad Boss which is grumpy, short temper and sexy. They can't deny the attraction between them even though they tried. They really giving their efforts in denying the spark between them especially, Brick. I had fun reading his efforts and attempts to push Madi from his mind. The book really gives me all sort of feeling which make me really hooked up to every chapters.

I'll definitely need the second book from Renee Rose and Lee Savino since I haven't read Madi and Brick happy ending. My heart attack might only can be cure by reading the 2nd book.

I recently finished reading Big Bad Boss by Renee Rose and Lee Savino, and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed. The story follows an innocent young woman, who finds herself working for a dominant alpha male who also happens to be a shifter. The combination of sweet romance, deviance, and sexual tension had me hooked from the very beginning.

The authors did a fantastic job of creating a captivating and well-written story. The plot was well-developed and kept me engaged throughout the entire book. I found myself rooting for the main characters, and their chemistry was off the charts. The dynamic between the sweet and innocent girl and the dominant alpha male was incredibly intriguing, and I couldn't wait to see how their relationship would unfold.

Speaking of the characters, they were both well-crafted and charming. The innocent girl was relatable and easy to connect with, while the alpha male was everything you would want in a leading man – strong, protective, and oh so sexy. The authors did a great job of developing their personalities and making them feel like real people, which added depth to the story.

One of the things I loved most about this book was the balance between sweetness and steaminess. The romance between the main characters was heartwarming and sweet, but there was also a hint of deviance and sexual tension that kept things interesting. The steamy scenes were well-written and definitely left me wanting more.

Overall, I would highly recommend Big Bad Boss to anyone looking for a quick and steamy read. It's the perfect book to indulge in before a sweet dream. The authors have created a captivating story with well-developed characters that will charm and captivate you. I will definitely be picking up more books by Renee Rose and Lee Savino in the future.

yes yes ABSOLUTELY YES! I ate this book up so fast! I loved the dynamic between Madi and Brick! I was sort of put off by the fact that he didn't know she was her mate or I suppose refused it. I'm also not a fan of people in book covers.... But this book was amazing!

3⭐️ spicy, bully/forbidden office romance, throw some shifter dynamics and some mysterious twists that I’m not sure where it’s gona go when the series continues.

Entertaining even though the MMC is a royal douch canoe and not very likable. I’m not a big fan of the bully romances but I love me a good alpha-hole. Brick skirts that line and isn’t my favorite but Madi is so fun and keeps him on his toes. The FMC is so fun to get to know, her lusting after her boss doesn’t really line up with the rest of her personality but the tension is just so juicy that it kind of makes up for that disconnect.

Wasn’t sure I would want to read any further into this series but the book ends on a pretty good cliffhanger and now I gotta know what’s gona happen lol.

Some editing needs to happen, there were some annoying typos but I’ve read other books from this author and I’m pleased to say, that writing was a lot smoother.
