I recently read this book, and it was a fast-paced, engaging book that left me wanting more from the main characters. The story features a billionaire boss-hole wolf shifter and his exceptionally smart assistant, set in the Bad Boy Alpha world created by the authors. The dynamic between the characters, Brick and Madi, kept me riveted from beginning to end. I particularly enjoyed Madi's strong-willed and outspoken personality, which made her a very likable character. The book lived up to my expectations and I can't wait to see what happens next. Overall, it was a wonderful story with great dialogue and I found the characters very appealing.

I really enjoyed this book! The story is about Madison “Madi” who just graduated from college. She was considering continuing her education, but instead got a job on Wall Street so she could help pay for her brother’s tuition. She is hired as the assistant to the assistant of CEO. Brick is the CEO of a successful business he started with his closest friends. They all are secretly werewolves and Brick is their Alpha. Brick is strangely attracted to Madi and that makes him treat her even more like a jerk.
Madi is quickly promoted and excels as Brick’s assistant. Brick struggles with his attraction both because he is an Alpha wolf and because he is Madi’s boss. But Madi is attracted to Brick and decides to act on that attraction. There are secrets and misunderstandings and I enjoyed every bit of it!
The story is interesting and so are the characters. I was wondering how everything could possibly be resolved by the end of the book. I was afraid the ending would be rushed, but instead there was a cliffhanger. I have mixed feelings about cliffhangers but I didn’t mind this one. I’m glad that the author is going to give the characters and the story the time they deserve. I can’t wait to read it!

Thirsty, thirsty for more that’s what I am right now.
This was a wonderful blend of shifters and the billionaire boss worlds. I had such a fun time reading this book! Madi was a spitfire of an FMC throwing around her confidence in a smart, cocky, and elegant kind of way. Our MMC Brick is your typical alpha ahole playing a fun push and pull game of lust.
This was a fun read and a great book to pick up if you’re looking for something fun that blends shifters and Wall Street.

This a page turner for sure. I absolutely love the snark and strength Madison’s shows against her boss. Brick is used to getting his way and never being challenged. Madison challenges him daily and he is all for it. It is sad that they can never be what he wants but he is determined to keep her anyway. It ends in a cliffhanger. I can’t wait to read the next book! I was given an ARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

What do I say about this one. I do love a good shifter book and the fact that he's her boss to is just all sorts of taboo.
I think for me I wasn't expecting that cliffhanger and it threw me. Like the book feels half finished. There are more questions than answers which is ok but I felt like we missed something more.

Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for this arc. I really enjoyed this book but it ended with a cliffhanger, which I found extremely annoying. It was a quick easy read that needed a better ending.

Great start to the series and I should have known it was going to end on a cliffhanger! Spicy shifter boss/secretary romance that has lots of fun characters. Great chemistry and banter! Need the next book asap!

***ARC review through NetGalley***
3.5 stars.
I'm a sucker for a good shifter romance and for the "he's my boss" trope. to have them combined? Magical.
Not the best written book I've read but for the quick, easy read that it is - I can't complain.
There were points that made me cringe and where I thought there should have been more build up. Over all this could have done with being a little longer just to get rid of that 0 to 100 feeling.
I also wasn't a fan of the ending but I get that this would become a series and objectively, I can see where that would be a good lead off point.

3.755/5
WARNING: IT HAS AN OPEN ENDING. IT'S APPARENTLY THE FIRST BOOK IN THE SERIES AND THE CONTINUATION SHOULD BE ABOUT THE SAME COUPLE.
If I knew if was the first book in the series I wouldn't have read it until the entire series was complete. I HATE open endings. The original rating would be 4.25, but because of the open ending I'm going with 3.75 instead.
Ughhh there are so many loose ends! I really thought it was standalone - while the description says that it's the book one of trilogy, I expected the rest of the books to follow other pack members like Billy or Nickel. I will read the rest of the series once it comes out because I'm intrigued now, but I'm not excited much.
For the first ever shifter book I've read - it's interesting and I like the premise though I'd rather it be standalone. I was yelling at Brick: SHE'S YOUR MATE, IDIOT! and was frustrated that he didn't want to acknowledge it, and that she never learned the truth. Now I need the rest of the series.
I liked the characters and their relationship though I was really confused about why Madi is now "protected". Is the relationship with one's boss really illegal in America? In my country it's not illegal at all, you only need to inform HR about it. But their dynamics was great and I can't wait for the big reveal. Why did the enemy call Madi, did Brick really pay her brother's tuition, what's up with his mother? I really want to know.

I don't often read shifter books, but I am so glad I was given an ARC of this one. Brick is an over the top alpha in work and all aspects of his life. He has fought hard to bring his pack back together and successful since his father's death. Madison takes the job as his assistant so she has money to help put her brother through school. She seems to be the only assistant that can put up with Brick, his demands, his moods, and his yelling. But soon, the attraction between them intensifies and the need to be together is strong. But, a human in a wolf world is not only dangerous to her, but to the pack's survival.
Cannot wait for part 2!!! If you love this genre, or like me want to give it a try, I highly recommend this book.
I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This was such an entertaining read. I thought the characters were well-written and I loved the chemistry between Brick and Madi. I was not expecting that cliffhanger ending! I am definitely looking forward to the next installment in this series.

That was WRONG in so many ways. An unannounced cliff-hanger is NOT the way to win my heart. (When is the next book coming out????) I was brought to tears more than once and laughed hysterically as well. I want to be Madi when I grow up...and Brick would just be the bonus. Loved everything about it...except the lack of a HEA...

I think the authors did a good job setting up the story and introducing the characters. I love the cover and the title. I just didn't enjoy the wolf part. Perhaps it was my mood? Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

I jumped at the chance to read this because I am a huge fan of Renee and Lee’s books. I went into this book with very high expectations and have to say that the undeniable chemistry between Brick and Madi reeled me in. As a couple they were a treat and individually as well. I enjoyed Madi’s character, her strong will and tenacity played well with Brick’s alpha personality and domineering ways. Once I started, I couldn’t put this book down and was in for a big, unpleasant surprise at the end.
Full Disclosure. I did see that this was Book 1 of a trilogy BUT nowhere did it say that it would end in a cliffhanger and that the trilogy was of the same couple. Had I known that, I would not have read this book because I am not a fan of reading an incomplete story. I would have waited for all three books to release and read them one after another. For this reason I am only giving this book 4 stars. And now I need to figure out when the next books will be releasing.

It's been so long since I've read a CLIFFHANGER I forget how annoying they are.
Hence, this is a 4.5 stars.
Other than that, this book was great! Right from the start it swept my attention and I couldn't put it down. I love how it has a sort of a light vibe, it's not a dark book considering it features werewolves.
It's the story of Madi, a very smart girl who takes a job on Wall Street to fund her brother's education. This puts her in the proximity of Brick, a powerful werewolf CEO and little by little he is charmed by her daring and intelligent ways.
What I loved the most about this book was the heat and tension- very well written.
And how right positioned the hero and heroine are, which feels a bit different from other boss / secretary novels, but probably classical for shifter books. The heroine is daring, strong, so very smart (i cannot emphasis this enough because it's her strongest trait) , loyal, very likeable and the hero eventually finds her ways irresistible, despite his grunting bad boss attitude. Because of her poise and wits she always seems almost like an equal to him, which, I guess, will serve the story as they actually get into a relationship.
Was this worth it? Every minute! Am I looking forward for the next story? You bet!
I received this book in order to offer my view on it.

This was a great alpha-hole read. Everything about this book was fantastic. The flow was good and there were no dead spots in the book.

Wolves dominating Wallstreet- real ones! Two packs vying for control, one human stuck in the battle, is she a true mate to the alpha? As a human? Politics, betrayals, deals, and warring feelings make this strong story and more than a typical romance. Ends on a cliff...

This is a quick, fun read that plays exactly as advertised. Steamy, hot, and vexing, Madison accepts a position as Brick’s assistant only to be treated with a lot of frustrations, of all kinds. The tension between the two main characters treats us to some fun banter, more than a little anger, and a healthy dose of lust. If this antagonist assistant/boss relationship wasn’t enough, we, as the readers, also know there’s an undercurrent there that even Madison doesn’t know about yet, a subplot I really hope gets fleshed out as the series continues.
There’s not a lot of depth here, but I also don’t think there has to be. You have to suspend a little disbelief, and these characters are sometimes a little over the top and heavy handed, but I think that’s more or less what I expected. This is the book equivalent of a jalapeño margarita. You know exactly what you’re getting, and for the most part, it hits the spot. There is a rather frustrating cliffhanger at the end, but that’s probably just because I’m impatient, and I fully intended to read along and find out.
A special thank you to NetGalley as I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. #BigBadBoss #NetGalley

This is a great book, with sizzling chemistry and plenty of snarky one liners. Madi is very relatable and I loved how she stoodup to Brick, whilst everyone else was intimidated by him. The ending was a little abrupt, but to be fair I hadn’t appreciated there would be a cliff hanger. The story continues over a further two books, which I can’t wait to read. Although Brick has an obvious adversary, I suspect that at least one of his inner circle will prove untrustworthy. There is also the mystery of Madi’s parentage and why as an apparent human she could be a mate for an alpha wolf. I’m hoping that perhaps she isn’t entirely human and this may be revealed in book 3. It’s certainly a gripping, entertaining read and I’m very much looking forward to the next installment.

“Big Bad Boss: Midnight” by Renee Rose and Lee Savino is the first book in a new series “Werewolves of Wall Street.” If you don’t like billionaire romance or shifter romance, perhaps pass on this book; but I love both of these subgenres, and have always thought Lee Savino to be a criminally under-rated alien romance author, so I was certainly predisposed to like this book.
This is not a stand-alone novel. It ends on a cliffhanger, and I anticipate there will be a lot more drama in the next installment.
Madison Evans has a sociology degree from Princeton and wants to help put her brother through NYU; she takes a job as the assistant to Brick Blackstone, a secret wolf shifter seeking revenge against another wolfpack through corporate domination.
The corporate takeover driving part of the plot hangs in the balance at the end of the novel as does the status of Madi and Brick’s relationship.
There is a secret to Madison’s parentage that I suspect will bridge the whole humans-and-wolves-don’t-mate issue at some point in the series.
This is a secretary/boss romance, which usually isn’t my thing, but I liked it here as Madi treats the job as a social experiment and there is lots of clear, enthusiastic consent coupled with some attempts at establishing appropriate workplace boundaries that fail.
Is this all a bit ridiculous? Yes, but so much fun. It’s a fast, entertaining read and I will definitely be eagerly awaiting the next installment.
