As I work through older reviews on my reading list, I finally got around to this one. I no longer have access to the title, so this is my generic review for books where too much time has passed for me to recall precise details, but this is what stood out in my memory. While it was an okay read, a few aspects fell short for me. The character development felt somewhat lacking, making it harder to fully connect with the story. The pacing of the narrative was fine but didn’t quite draw me in as much as I’d hoped. Overall, it’s a decent book, but not one that left a lasting impression.

The book blurb is in itself a disclaimer that the book might not make sense. And it doesn't. There were parts of it that I enjoyed but for the most part, I am super confused.
This was probably not for me.

Ostrich by Matt Greene. I did not get a chance to read this before it was archived. So many books and not enough time!

I did not have a chance to read this book, but it is effecting my feedback rating. I am giving books 5 stars that I haven't read to improve my feedback rating. I am not recommending the book for my classroom or students since I have not read the book. There needs to be a better system of leaving feedback for books not read.

I agree with the others who have pointed Greene's writing is similar of Hadden and Palacio who aren't afraid to take on challenging subjects concerning children. This is a very touching story told in first person about dealing with a brain tumor. So touching, so informative and so captivating.
