DNF 52% in. Thank you to St. Martin's Griffin and Dreamscape media for the arc and alc.

I really liked the first two books in this series but for some reason I found this third one very boring. I had been slowly listening too it but yesterday I listened again for the first time in a while and I couldn't care less about these characters. I could tell where the conflict was going and it felt superficial to me. I was overall bored and I accepted that this one didn't work for me.

Not my cup of tea. The writing just wasn't a style I liked. If you're into witches with way too many details you might enjoy this one.

I love April Asher’s witchy books! They are fun and this was no exception.

Loved the plus sized rep! The relationship was an interesting dynamic. Overall enjoyed this read!

I loved the audiobook as well! The narration was enjoyable and did not detract from the story.

"Not Your Crush's Cauldron" by April Asher is an enjoyable and lighthearted listen, perfect for fans of quirky paranormal romance. Narrated by Zura Johnson, the performance adds a delightful touch, capturing the charm and humor of the story.

The plot follows an entertaining mix of magic and romance, with engaging characters that are easy to connect with. While the storyline is fun, some elements felt a bit predictable, which kept it from reaching its full potential.

I’d rate this audiobook 3.5 out of 5 stars. It’s a fun, easy listen that will entertain, even if it doesn’t break new ground. Thank you to NetGalley for my copy; all opinions are my own!

Oh my goodness, I have loved ALL of these adorable books in this series! April Asher has a way of making you laugh, making you cry, and warming your heart all at once and this one definitely did all three!

I had no doubt I would though because I’ve been loving this series over the past few years. In this one we finally get to the 3rd triplet in our witchy trio of sisters Olive, Olive is more shy and reserved in nature than her sisters. But in this one we really see her start to come into her own thanks to a new sexy Angel roomate, a bucket list, and helping her sister violet take the seat as the new Prima. I thought this was so fun to watch her do all the list and that bax her sexy new Angel roommate tags along for the adventures. I loved the chemistry between these two, it was such a sweet slow burn! And I laughed so hard at some of the things they did like the dirty dancing scene. I thought they worked so well together and brought out the best in each other. Over all I loved the 3rd in this series and will read more of what this author puts out, I listened to the audiobook of this and thought the narrator did a great job. She read both parts and everything flowed really good!

I love April Asher, I truly do.

Whether she’s Asher or Hunt, she brings the heart.

I’ve read all the books in the supernatural singles series, and I’ve had high hopes for all of them.

Sadly, Not Your Crush’s Cauldron falls short for me.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s still enjoyable, it’s just not as fun as the first two. I feel like we lost some steam (as in momentum, not spice) and tried too much to be Erin Sterling when April Asher is THAT witch.

Olive was the one I was most excited for, but it became more Brat than that. The audio really didn’t do it many favors if we’re being honest.

Overall, not my favorite of the sisters stories, but a great roundup to the series regardless.

Out now!

The way I looove a witchy romance story! The newest installment in the Supernatural Singles series, Not Your Crush’s Cauldron centers around bookworm Olive who is the youngest sister of the family.

Overall a cozy read filled with adventure, spice and all the laughs, I love these sisters so much. I paired the book and audiobook and loved them both, but this immersive read was so fun to escape with!

*many thanks to Dreamscape Media, St Martins Press and Netgalley for the gifted copy for review

Thank you to the publishers, author and NetGalley for the free copy of this audio book.

This is part of a series but was ok reading as a standalone! Interesting paranormal romance, with plenty of spice. Overall a decent read but didn't hook me enough to want to go back and read the others that much. The narrator did a good job.

I loved finally being able to hear Olive’s story! This audiobook was great, the narrator, who also narrated the first two books in the series, is once again great at being the story to life. Bad and Olive have an interesting story and I loved hearing it and being there for their journey.

Witches, angels and demons in New York and being afraid of Times Square? Hilarious.

This was super cute. I had reservations about this, thinking that it was going to be instalove and that I wouldn't be into it, but the MCs were so likeable and the conflict was enough that I really enjoyed the story. Also, as usual, I had no idea this was the third book in a series. While I think it would've been nice to have read the other books first - and maybe I'd have appreciated the side characters more, all of whom seemed delightful - I had no issues with following this story. Looking forward to checking out the other books though. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher!

Not Your Crush's Cauldron
Ready for something so far out there that it's just relaxing ? Here you have a witch in love with her roommate who happens to be a tattoed and pierced guardian angel. This is the third book in the Supernatural Singles series but it really (trust me) doesn't matter whether you read them in order, this can be read as a standalone. This is a fun paranormal friends to lovers romance. Both characters come with baggage and there are problems to solves and hurdles to master but since their world is quite different from ours this is still a wonderfully relaxing fun read - and listen !

This is the third book in the supernatural sisters, and we finally get to see the nerdy book, loving youngest sister, who is a professor get together with the guardian angel. We know she’s a professor over at Harvard and she really wants to study having apprenticeships between human and supernatural societies to create a better understanding of both societies. However, things aren’t going so well, and she needs to move into a new apartment. Our guardian angel gives her space in his place. The problem is everybody knows these two have a hots for each other and just can’t talk about it. And of course, moving in together means they become involved. The downside is that Box is given Olive as an official duty to guard. He tries to tell his boss we’ve been friends we live together, but they’re like do this or you’re fired. You see Olive has decided she’s going to do 10 things that are scary. She assigned her students this project but thinks if I’m going to give it to them why don’t I do it myself. This book, of course involves sex, singing, doing crazy unexpected things, and things that scare you. This book is just like the others. It’s cozy, it’s a little spicy, maybe a little more than spicy… they get into piercings. But it is fun. I really like this series and I hope it isn’t over because I really want the book about their succubus friend.

Loved the narrator on this one. I love these stories about the Maxwell sisters and their love life adventures. This one was prob one of my favorites so far i loved the angel part in the story and how protective he was of Olive. As always i like how the stories are all tied together in some way and but also don't all need to be read in order to understand what is happening. I can't wait to see what else is in store for these sisters and their families.

Yes. Just YES! This book follows Olive, the last Maxwell triplet, and her new roommate Bax. olive has always gone with the safest choice and the uncomplicated road but when she decides to challenge herself along with her students she finds her daring roommate along the ride.

This book has some of my favorite tropes like he falls first, forced proximity, friends to lovers, and golden retriever energy bad boy. I love Olive and felt like I could relate to her in a lot of her decisions. And a bad boy that wants to be good for her ... don't mind if I do. I genuinely really enjoyed this book and will continue to read whatever else April Asher publishes because I love a romance with a little witchy magic mixed in.

What I love about this book, other than the sweet characters, is that it can be read as a standalone. If you are looking for a witchy romance this is a great book to pick up. Whether you have read the first two books in the series or not. Will you pick up on every reference to the previous books, maybe not, but you are not going to be confused throughout the book or not understand what's going on.

I recommend this book to anyone looking for a cozy fantasy romance with low stakes but enjoyable scenes and characters. Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this story!

Thank you to April Asher, NetGalley, and Dreamscape Media for an e-ARC of Not Your Crush's Cauldron!

I thought this book was really cute. It was a good mix of funny and fantastical with a bit of spice thrown in as well. One thing to note, this book is the third in a series. While I could tell it would have been helpful to have read the first two books, this seemed to hold it's own - though if you read this book first it will give away some major plot points for the first two.

Some things I liked:

The characters were funny and they had some great witty banter. The silly sayings when they were shocked or angry that revolved around witchiness made me giggle.

The plot was fun and not super high stakes. I liked that not everything in this book was an absolute life or death or world shattering matter. If things went wrong, it wasn't going to send life up in smoke and I liked that light-hearted element to the book.

The found family was also so sweet. Yes - the book revolves around triplets, but the other people brought into their circle were all high-quality characters. I loved how they supported each other no matter what.

Things I didn't love:

The narrator sounded like she was whispering basically the whole time.... It just bothered me.

Some of Olive's tasks on the docket seemed really odd to me - enter a dance competition when they had no background in dance whatsoever? The premise of the docket it to do things outside your comfort zone, not do things you have no idea how to do and make a mockery of another art form.... but to each their own.

Overall, I thought the book was cute and I would like to read the first couple books in the series and would read another if there is going to be a fourth!

3/5 stars
