Fun, sexy, enjoyable. What else is there to say? A fun ride start to finish. I hope the author writes more books in this world because I have enjoyed this series immensely.

I've really enjoyed this series so far so I'm glad that Not Your Crush's Cauldron lived up to the hype. It was cute and fun with just the right level of spice. I'm not the biggest fan of slow burns but it really worked for Olive and Bax. I really enjoyed getting to know Olive more in this one. I would have liked to see more magic in this one but otherwise I really enjoyed it.
Thank you to the publishers and netgalley for this arc in exchange for an honest review.

Thanks to NetGalley, St. Martin’s Press, Dreamscape Media for the eARC & ALC of this beautiful book.

What I’m Starry-Eyed Over:
🤩 Friends (and secret crush) to roommates to lovers.
🤩 3rd person dual POV works with one narrator, but I like that we still get both MCs thoughts and feelings. Her voice is so entertaining and beautiful.
🤩 Beautiful (double) secret pining, fantastic flirting and forced proximity.
🤩 Baxter Donovan is the Guardian Angel with full-sleeve tattoos, a messy man-bun, piercings, and a motorcycle!
🤩 Olive is a college professor in Supernatural Studies, and she has a list she needs help with, her Dare I Docket.
🤩 These two are hot and the guardian angel plot is fun.
🤩 When Bax walks in on Olive opening (and trying to control) the special housewarming gift from her sister—Tentacle Teaser 2000. Laugh-out-loud funny!
🤩 How Bax calls Olive angel even though he’s the angel.
🤩 How Olive calls Bax wingman.
🤩 The cloaking spell, in her office! 🙌🏻
What I’m Wishing/Dizzy About:
💫 I definitely need to go back and read the first two stories in the Supernatural Singles series.
💫 I wonder if Harper’s getting a story? Or will it stay a series of three with the witch triplets?
💫 The ending and HEA are sweet, but I wish there was some steam after their time apart.

This was the third book in the Supernatural Singles series. I loved the first two books in the series and was so excited to see that the third book was coming out. I enjoyed the book, but I didn’t love it quite as much as the first two.
By far, my favorite part of this book was Bax. I loved that he was a bad boy guardian angel. He is probably my favorite amongst all of the MMCs in this series. He had a lot of his own drama, but he always put Olive first. They had swoon worthy chemistry.
I thought the narrator did a great job. She has such a swoon worthy voice!
I definitely recommend checking this series out! Especially if you love fun witchy books with some spice.

I read this book out of order and now I'm DYING to read books 1 and 2. I like how the author, April Asher, fits the supernatural world into our modern one. While the plot was a bit obvious, I still loved every second. This was a fun, steamy read and I can't wait to pick up another April Asher book. #NotYourCrushsCauldron #NetGalley

What a wonderful way to cap off this trilogy for the Maxwell triplets! I loved Olive & Bax's HEA! The friends-to-lovers arc was delightful, and I feel like it was a slow-burn since I've been dying for these two to get together since they make their first teases in books 1 & 2.
Olive's professorial credibility is on the line when she challenges her students to step out of their comfort zones and try new, exciting things. How hypocritical would it be for her to *not* do the same?! So, she makes her Do It Docket goals and starts her journey into new self-discovery and adventure.
Baxter Donovan's reputation seems to always be in question with his fellow Guardian Angels, but this bad boy doesn't usually let it bother him. His new assignment, however, may give him the final strikes to officially clip his wings. His assignee is not only his new roommate, but also his definitely-crushing-on best friend, Olive Maxwell. How does squeaky-clean Olive even merit needing a Guardian Angel?! She's hardly a risk to herself or others... yet Bax can't deny his urge to take this assignment and stick close to Olive... for her protection (at least that's what he'll keep telling himself!)
I loved how cute these two are together! The lengths that Bax goes to in order to stay near and keep Olive safe are adorable. I loved the aerial circus class; his clumsiness and subsequent pouting really showed how dynamic his character is -- he's an atypical tough guy, and I'm here for it! Rough and growley at times, but in that fun shivers kind of way. Olive proved to be a fun character too - I loved that she wasn't so buttoned up or naive, and that she was able to see Bax's actions for what they were without overreaction.
The absolute highlight of their relationship is ultimately how beautifully they support one another. It is #relationshipgoals for an adult, mature, friends & lovers dreamer.
I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily reviewing.

I always love a curvy main female with a strong male main character. Just something about that match, yes please. I liked how he helped her out of her comfort zone but didn’t force her either. I loved that he was willing to give up so much for her too, it made for a super sweet story.
🌀Synopsis
When Olive challengers her students to step outside of their comfort zone she realizes she needs to step outside of hers as well. When she moves in with her long-time crush, Baxter, things start to change in their relationship.
Baxter isn’t allowed to fall in love with her because he’s actually on assignment to protect her. She doesn’t know that though, just thinks he wants to be around more. It’s the truth because he does want to be around her, his job just seems to have a perk right now. Until his job is done and she finds out exactly what his motive was.

The curvy, bookish, witch, Olive, might be one of my favorite main characters from a romance novel in a long, long time. Thanks you April Asher for writing such a spunky independent character.
Not Your Crush’s Cauldron is book 3 of the Supernatural Singles series, but can definitely be read as a stand alone or out of order (like I’m doing..heh).

This is definitely a fun story with some fun characters. It just was not my favorite. I do think that the narrator did a good job though.

This book is pure perfection, and so is the series. I love when a series lets you pick up a book at any point in the series, and you can read it without missing anything. For instance, you know that in this book she meets up with her friends, I *knew* that they had other books about their story. but it wasn't like i was missing out on the context of inside jokes and such . I'm so in love with this whole universe!

Not Your Crush's Cauldron by April Asher follows Professor Olive Maxwell who has moved in with her bestie, Bax, because she was in a pretty sketchy roommate situation and her friends/family put their foot down that she was not to stay there. She's also trying to get a pretty big grant for this project promoting inter-species relationships. This project winds up pushing her outside of her comfort zone and Bax finds his friendship with Olive being tested as he's given a new work task as a guardian angel.
Things I liked about this book: I love books with a list of things to do/accomplish. I like the idea of pushing a character out of their comfort zone and I enjoyed the way that was done in this book. I liked the friendships and sister relationships in this book and in the series as a whole. The narrator did a good job and didn't annoy me with the voices, which is important.
But, here's the thing. As a lover of friends to lovers romances, I really feel like I should have connected to this romance more. And sometimes there were snippets of the dynamic that I wanted, but other times I just sort of wanted to scream. The problem is that there is an element of deception here and I struggle with deception at the best of times, but it's really difficult for me to reckon with when it's taking place with a friends to lovers romance and it specifically impacts the other character. So, all in all, although this book had a lot of great personal development and the relationships between the friends was great, I wound up not loving it as much as I wanted to. Also, though, why does Bax, an actual angel, call Olive angel as his term of endearment? That made no sense to me and I really hated it.
Anyway, if you've liked the other books in the series, I would still recommend this one, but if you haven't, definitely don't jump in here.

First thought: A cute lighthearted paranormal romance. That has a good message, banter, tension and spice! What more could you ask for? How about a splash of magic and a hot and hunky motorcycle tattoo guardian angel. I hope you’re sold cause it’s great!
Baxter is a guardian angel and there are three rules. He has broken 2 of the 3 and is on thin ice with the council. The last rule he’s safe from breaking is not getting involved with an assignment. No problem, he’s had a crush on one girl for years. Fate had it that she needed a place to live so she just moved into his place. Maybe he will finally get the chance he always wanted.
Olive is a triplet and she may also be a witch but she prefers to leave that magic stuff to her sisters. She is much happier teaching at the college and staying in her comfort zone. The only issue is she lost the apartment she’s living in and is being forced to move, thankfully her friend had a room she could crash in. Now she just has to hide the massive crush she’s had on him forever. No problem.
This semester Olive has assigned her students a project to help them get out of their comfort zones and she planned to use the results for a research is a project she’s hoping the university will back. The only issue is how can she expect her students to do that when she was so predictable and comfortable herself. So she decided to make a Dare I docket list. She adds things like run away to the circus (aka take a class) and skinning dipping to it.
Baxter got a new guardian assignment and to his shock it was Olive. This was going to be a big problem, as he first wasn’t allowed to tell her and second now she was off limit romantically. His job was to keep her safe but all he wants to do is tell her the truth, kiss her and quit being a guardian angel.
Follow Bax and Olive as this story unfolds it’s for sure going to be a hot and steamy ride!

I was quite delighted with this book. I have never read a guardian angel and a Witch romance, and I loved the originality. This book seemed really fresh with new ideas that kept the reader entertained. The audiobook narrator was also excellent and created a very delightful story being told.

Not Your Crush’s Cauldron is the third book in April Asher’s paranormal romance series, Supernatural Singles, and it focuses on the youngest Maxwell sister, Olive. Unlike her sisters who are major players in the magical community, Olive has chosen to teach about the supernatural rather than to actively take part. When she assigns a project to her students that requires them to step out of their comfort zones, she decides that it’s time for her to do the same and creates a to-do list of challenging tasks that will accomplish just that.
Bax Donovan, a Guardian Angel, is Olive’s friend, long time secret crush, and now also her roommate. Bax is the pierced, tattooed, motorcycle-riding opposite to Olive’s shy, introverted personality but the two of them still have amazing chemistry.
Bax finds himself in an uncomfortable situation when something on Olive’s to-do list puts her on the Guardian Angel Affairs radar as needing protection and they make her Bax’s assignment. Bax is not allowed to tell Olive she’s his assignment, so he decides to accompany her as a friend to help her complete the tasks on her list.
There’s just one problem with that - the more time they spend together, the more Bax and Olive realize they have more than friendly feeiings toward each other, which is another no-no for Bax as her Guardian Angel. Is an HEA possible for them?
This one was so much fun! I enjoyed being back in this world and seeing Olive’s sisters again, and I also really loved the chemistry, and especially the fun banter between Bax and Olive. They’re just so cute together. I also loved that underlying tension that comes with forbidden love. It really made for a fantastic read that I couldn’t put down.
The audiobook was narrated by Zura Johnson who did a beautiful job capturing all aspects of the relationship between Bax and Olive and really enhanced my reading experience.

For the final book Not Your Crush's Cauldron is Olive's story of finding love and hello angel hotness, it delivered.
"I want you to sit not hoover angel..."
Olive is stepping out of her comfort zone and its enough to get Bax, her sexy as heaven roommate, assigned to her as a guardian angel. This assignment takes a hidden chemistry and slowly builds the fire as they both step out of their comfort zone. Tats, motorcycles, sexy teacher time and the Tentacle Teaser 2000 are just the tip. And we all know how frustratingly teasing that can be.
This wasn't as hilarious as the first two but it is totally cheesy grin worthy with stellar funny bits. I felt this was more swoony and slower to build in a good way. Have I mentioned that I absolutely love the trio's bff, Harper? She needs her own book!
The audios are narrated by Zura Johnson. I freaking LOVE her narrations. The voices are spot on through the whole series and I did not find myself dying of laughter when the male voices came into play. Excellent audios. Perfect emotion, tone and cadence too!
I found a new witchy romance trilogy to adore all thanks to the author 💋 It was the catalyst into the first two books and I'm smitten. Another thank you too Dreamscape for the gifted ALC. I wouldn't have finished these as fast without Johnson's narration. Highly recommend this series and also recommend reading them in order!

3.5 stars
This is a sweet and steamy romance between a witch and a guardian angel. I was a great witchy rom-com. I loved the main characters Olive and Bax. It had just the right amount of angst and wit. I have not read the 1st two books in this series but I have added them to my list. I can't wait to read about Olive's triplet witch sisters. It does seem that there will be more in this series so I do look forward to that.
Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape media for the opportunity to listen to this audiobook.

Thank you to Netgalley and Macmillan Audio for the ALC! Though I didn't particularly love the first two Supernatural Singles novels, I did enjoy Not Your Crush's Cauldron quite a bit better than the other books! Tropes include forbidden love and forced proximity—two fun ones, especially in supernatural/paranormal romance. Both Olive and Bax were terrific. I got wrapped up in the love narrative of this witchy romantic comedy. Unfortunately, I don't think Asher's writing style is for me. There are several clunky or confusing sentences that would make it difficult for me to comprehend. Additionally, this universe has a lot of over-the-top jargon that just seems forced and pulls the reader out of the story.

This was my first from April Asher and it won’t be my last! It was cute and quirky, steamy and just a feel good story.
I really enjoyed seeing Bax and Olive navigate their relationship from friends and roommates to lovers. Their chemistry is obvious right from the start with playful banter and just so much heart.
Zura Johnson did a great job narrating this one and definitely captured that fun and flirty feel!
Definitely looking forward to reading more in this series!

4 stars!
I have loved every entry in April Asher's Supernatural Singles series, and "Not Your Crush's Cauldron" is no different. I adore the Maxwell sisters! April Asher does a sensational job infusing laugh-out-loud humor and super sexy spice into the witchy happenings here. This book focuses on Olive, a supernatural teacher and the youngest Maxwell sister, and Baxter Donovan, her longtime crush who just so happens to be tasked with being her guardian angel. Olive doesn't love taking part in witchy goings on like her sisters do. She'd prefer to stay in as opposed to going out. As an assignment for her students, Olive has challenged them to make a list of things they can do that will push them outside their comfort zones... and she decides to take part in the assignment, too! This leads to a lot of interesting, awkward, wacky situations, especially when her crush-turned-new-roommate Bax decides to get involved and join her on her quest to finish her list. Oh, and did I mention, Bax *also* has a thing for Olive? The tension and the pining are wonderful in this book. Olive is a terrific main character. I enjoyed watching her break out of her typically low-risk comfort zone to discover new, exciting things that might have passed her by otherwise. And Bax... what's not to love about Baxter Donovan? Bax is sOoOoOoO swoony.. and I loved every single second of it! It's fun watching Olive drive Bax up the wall with her list. He is more outgoing while she is more reserved, so they complement each other well as opposites. And the steam between the two is *chef's kiss.* I will say, I did find this book to be a little more slowly paced than the last two books in the series. I think the nature of checking things off of Olive's list got a little repetitive despite her entries being significantly different. Still, I sure do love April Asher's work, and I hope we get a novel about Harper next! Finally, Zura Johnson... what can I say, she is the PERFECT audiobook narrator for this series. I have enjoyed her voiceover work in each and every installment of these books! She puts such a fabulous twang, a wonderful pop, a spectacular pizzazz into each character. Terrific work by her on this book!
Thank you to NetGalley, April Asher, and Dreamscape Media for the complimentary ALC of this book. All opinions are my own. I was not compensated for this review.

Another winner from April Asher! I loved this Supernatural Romance. As with other books I read from this author, this book had Charming characters that were lovable as well as antagonist characters that were easy to hate. The story and the fantasy world here is so enjoyable. I hope there is more coming in this series!
