This was a perfect ending to the series. I will miss the witchy triplets.
I really enjoyed that Olive worked to get out of her comfort zone and found her love in Bax along the way. This story had found family, self awareness/awakening, and some fun spice.
The story wrapped up the series in an expected way, and the HEA's left you swooning and feeling bittersweet that it's all done.

This was the 3rd book in the series and I enjoyed it a lot. Definitely more than the 1st one. Olive was so relatable and Bax was so intriguing and I loved them together. Definitely for fans of Piper and Leo. IYKYK
I liked the narrator and enjoyed listening to it. It is a solo narrator but thankfully no weird fake voices happened. A good book to read or listen to.
*Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape media for an advanced audio copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is the 3rd book in the series and I hadn't read any of the prior books. This did not affect my ability to follow along with the story. In fact, I absolutely loved this story. As soon as I was done listening, I bought the first 2 books. I can't wait to listen to those!!
Zura Johnson creates voices for the characters that fit their personality and has great intonation. I do tend to listen to my books at 1.5X speed and the pacing at that rate was great. This is the first book that I have listened to that she has narrated. I plan to keep an ear out for more of her books.
The series follows triplet witches as they try to discover their true selves as well as their one true love. In Not Your Crush's Cauldron, we get to know Olive (the 3rd born of the triplets) much more. She is a reserved, down-to-Earth professor that teaches supernatural studies. She has a normal routine that she likes to follow. However, in order to get a grant approved, she assigns her classes to write a Dare I Docket. What is a Dare I Docket, you ask? It is a list of tasks that are out of your normal comfort zone that you are willing to complete. Then you have to check each of them off. These tasks can't be life-threatening or be so out of your comfort zone that you will have a total meltdown.
Her new roommate, Bax Donovan, has been her longtime friend and major crush. He is the complete opposite of Olive. She starts to realize that she is stuck in a rut and decides to write her own Dare I Docket. Now Bax has been assigned to be her guardian angel, but he can't tell her.
Sparks not only fly, but boy do the pages start to sizzle! Here is a warning to those who like to listen without ear buds or headsets, there are quite a few steamy sex scenes.
While you are waiting on your own book to come in or download, what would you put on your very own Dare I Docket?
Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for providing me with a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an open and honest review.

Not Your Crush's Cauldron was an excellent addition to this series. I enjoyed each of the sisters' stories, but I think Olive may have been my favorite of the three. I enjoyed the development of the relationship between the main characters and the conflict of Baxter and his father and his life choices.
My only feedback is that the author calls a tattoo machine a "gun" which makes all tattooers cringe a bit.

I am a big consumer of fantasy witchy / shifter / demon books, perhaps that has worked against me in this reading situation. This book wasn’t bad at all, but it somehow struck me as both convoluted and uneventful. Perhaps for a different reader this would be more enjoyable. Personally, I feel like there are more creative, eventful examples of this type of story out there in the world. It was only an okay for me.

Olive & Bax, eek! They are so cute together and I love how they both came to the same realization at the same time. On a side note, the idea of a magic ink for tattoos that guarantees your tattoo will last forever and never fade is so cool and makes me wish it was a reality. I don't know if there will be further books in this series but if there are, I will read them.
Zura Johnson did a great job narrating this novel and I will definitely look for more books narrated by Zura in the future.

"Not Your Crush's Cauldron" is the third book in April Asher's "Supernatural Singles" series. As I hadn't read the first two books, I needed to catch up with the characters in this book, who were already part of a found family. However, this didn't impact my enjoyment of the story. I plan to read the first two books in the future. Although "Not Your Crush's Cauldron" can be read as a standalone, it's best to start with book one if you want to learn about Olive's sisters.
Olive is a paranormal class teacher at the university who assigns her students to list things outside of their comfort zones to pursue. Olive's colleagues call her boring, so she creates her own "Dare I Docket" list of challenging things to do.
Bax, Olive's tattooed, handsome, angelic roommate, is assigned to be her guardian angel. However, he must follow the rules, such as not disclosing that he's her guardian and not falling in love with his charge. As they spend more time together, they both feel a mutual attraction that they can't deny.
Overall, this was a quick, fun read. I recommend it.
Thank you to April Asher, Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for the gifted ARC.

Not Your Crush's Cauldron was a delightful, fast paced audio perfect for my outdoor walks!
Olive has lived in her sister's shadows, playing it safe, for a long time. When she gives her students a task of putting together and acting on a list of ten "out of character" tasks, she decides to do it with them.
Bax, guardians angel, can't fight his attraction to Olive. Assigned as her secret guardian, he decides to do her list with her. But he's got one chance left to prove himself as a guardian. He's got feelings for OLIVE and she- him. It's more than just a crush for angel and witch.
I enjoyed listening to Not Your Crush's Cauldron, narrated by Zura Johnson. The catchy chapter titles kept my interest and made me laugh! The third in Asher's series had the beloved characters from precious novels while allowing Olive and Bax to have their shine. The spicy scenes were well plotted out and weren't written just to check off a scene. Overall, this was a solid listen and I'm curious if another novel will be coming soon!

Not Your Crush's Cauldron is the third book in April Asher's Supernatural Singles series. Featuring Olive, the last of the Maxwell triplets and Bax, a guardian angel. Olive and Bax were such a cute pairing from the get go, you could feel their chemistry come off the page.
Olive is a professor and department chair at a college and assigns her students a project to push them out of her comfort zone, which she also decides to participate in. I loved this idea so much, especially since Olive was so supportive of all her students picking things that are right for them (they don't all have to be big and bold things!). Sent such a great message about pushing out of your comfort zone a bit.
Due to the list Bax is assigned to watch over Olive, which leads to some sticky situations, especially considering his father wants him to be something that he's not.
I love the way this ended and how in the end both Olive and Bax found their true selves.

I hope this isn't the end of the series! I know all the sisters are officially done but Harper needs a story, and honestly, I just want a story that features all of the, alternating chapters, whatever the author will give us. I'm obsessed.
I received an advance copy. All thoughts are my own.

I absolutely love listening to this series. I don’t know why, but I prefer listening to the audiobook versus reading the words themselves when it comes to this series. I love the progression of the romance between Bax and Olive. I am really hoping that there will be another book in the series focusing on Harper..

4⭐️, 2.25🌶️
Oh Olive and Bax! I’ve really enjoyed every book in this series and Crush’s Cauldron is right along with the squad! I loved so much about Olive’s character - her smarts, her willingness to break out of her comfort zone, and he dedication to her sister. And then the bad boy-esque Angel Bax that’s we’ve been teased with in other books?! So good! The two together were such a sweet friends to lovers/ forced proximity romance!
Really hoping we get a book for with our resident anti-live demon finding her HEA?!
Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscapes Media for and ALC of this book in exchange for my honest and free review!

Olive and Bax have been friends for a long time. He even invited her to live with him when she needed a place to stay. They also have had crushes on each other but have been afraid to do anything.
When Olive starts a new project at work, she writes a list of items to get her out of her comfort zone. That's when Bax is assigned to her as a Guardian Angel. Something on that list has put her in need of an angel, and Bax is more than happy to step up.
Opinion
This is an absolutely fun series. Both witty and funny, the best part is the strong bond between sisters. I think this book may have been my favorite in the series. Something about crossing off items on a list that gets you out of your comfort zone just calls to me. (Am I willing to do this? That remains to be seen.) Throughout the series, I have fallen in love with Asher's writing style and I surely hope this is not the end of the Supernatural Singles series.
I listened to the audio and could not have been more consumed in the book. I read along but the nuances in the narrators speaking added more depth to what I read/heard. I highly recommend the audio version.
Many thanks to Net Galley, St. Martins Press and Dreamscape Media for providing me with an ARC of the book and audiobook.

4.5
It is the chemistry for me in this one! Brax and Olive grabbed me immediately. Just a forbidden fun room mates to lovers with a bit of magic thrown in!
The audiobook was chefs kiss!

Not Your Crush's Cauldron is the third installment of the Supernatural Singles series, which follows a set of supernatural triplets as they find love (I have not read the other books in this series... but I don't think that mattered). Usually, I am not super into books with supernatural elements, but I thought this book balanced incorporating those elements while still having a different story going on at the same time.
Olive is a professor at a university and is known for playing everything safe and being predictable, so when she assigns her classes to get out of their comfort zones and try new things, she receives feedback from her colleagues that she may be unreasonable in making her students do something that she wouldn't do herself.
Bax is a Guardian Angel on his last chance with his employer.. and father. After being known for breaking almost every rule in the book, Bax is given one last chance with a new client, Olive, whose status has just changed and now needs a guardian angel.
The only problem with Bax's new assignment is that Olive is his new roommate, and he finds her insanely attractive..
This book is a lot of fun, and I loved how Bax and Olive's relationship grew throughout her list and new experiences for the both of them. From joining the circus to some great dates, Bax and Olive have a fun relationship I loved reading about.

This was my first read by April Asher and I don’t know what took me so long! I loved her writing and this found family of characters she has created in the Supernatural Singles series.
In the surface bookish Olive and tattooed Bax don’t appear to have anything in common. But when these friends move in together in Bax’s NYC apartment, sparks start to fly. And not just from Olive’s hands!
I thought the relationship between Bax and Olive developed at a good pace and was surprised by the heat between them (and some of Bax’s piercings!). The dual POV worked well for the story and came in especially handy during that third-act misunderstanding. Also, don’t let the cartoon cover fool you, this romance is very much open door. 😉
Zura Johnson was great as narrator! She was the perfect Olive and I appreciated how it was easy to distinguish between Olive and her sisters. I would have appreciated a male narrator for Bax’s POV but the audio still worked without it.
I will definitely be going back and reading books one and two in the series! You can enjoy Not Your Crush’s Cauldron as a standalone but if you want to learn about Olive’s sisters start with book one.
Thank you to NetGalley, Dreamscape Media and April Asher for an early audio copy. These are my honest thoughts.

This was a cute friends-to-lovers romance, with a shy scholar woman and a tattooed guardian angel love interest. I like that each book features a different supernatural guy and the way angels are in this was interesting.
This is a medium pace with a nice build up to the spice and features past characters and their adorable relationships. I wonder if Harper will get a book now?

In this third installment of the Maxwell Sisters witchy romcom series, Olive is teaching a paranormal class at the university and assigns her students to make a list of things out of their comfort zones to pursue.
When she hears other teachers talking about how boring she is, Olive decides to make her own “Dare I Docket,” with a list of challenging things.
Bax is Olive’s hunky, tatted angel roommate and gets assigned to be her guardian angel. But one of the rules is that he can’t disclose he’s her guardian, and another is that he can’t fall in love with his charge.
The more time the two spend together, the more they can’t deny their mutual attraction.
💚 My thoughts?
I love these books so much. They are the perfect little bursts of joy. I know going in I’m getting magic, humor, a plus sized FMC, a hunky supernatural, spice, and a HEA. Literally my favorite joy smoothie.
I loved the docket list of activities and how Olive pushed both herself and Bax out of their comfort zones. I adored the continued supportive sister and friend relationships, as well as the overall message of this book about personal growth.
Such a fun. quick read!
🎧 I loved the audio narration of this one by Zura Johnson. She did all the voices and emotions so well.

4.5/5 stars
I love this narrator. She has done all the books in this series and I enjoy that because it keeps all the voices for each character really consistent!
I didn’t love this as much as the first two books. Mostly because Bax being Olive’s guardian angel didn’t really make any sense to me.
I think if it would’ve been explained what the parameters for needing a guardian angel were then it might have made more sense to me.
None of the stuff on her docket list was bad or life-threatening, so I really did not get this at all and I had a hard time getting past it.
I hope this isn’t the end of the series because I really need a Harper and Adrian book.

I am so glad I finally picked up the Supernatural Singles series that’s been on my tbr for far too long because where has Not Your Crush’s Cauldron been all my life? We are blessed with an all too relateable FMC Olive who is smart, powerful in her own right, witty and so easy to love. Talk about root-for-ability with Olive, let me tell you about Bax y’all! He’s giving tough guy cinnamon roll golden retriever he falls first biker boyfriend of your dreams, and he came to protect our Olive with every fiber of his being! This couple is one you will want to smash together like Barbie’s from the jump and will love seeing their connection develop through the dual POVs.
Besides the cheek burning, feet kicking romance with this delicious duo you are also blessed with a fantastically well fleshed out world. The world building is beautifully paced and we get insight into political structures that make it what it is. The choice to make Olive a teacher was a great tool for furthering the world and magic systems building and I really enjoyed the flow of that. It really accompanied the plot well and gave me greater insight into the stakes at hand. I found that the mix of rich world building and the relationships pacing equated to a very strong investment in the plot outcome for me and has me excited to read the rest of the books set in this world! From what I can tell these can be read as stand alones, but don’t be surprised if you end up like me excitedly starting the other books in Supernatural Singles as soon as you finish this one!
Now onto the narration! I love me a good dual narration especially in romance and this duo was giving on both ends! I will say I liked the MMC a bit better but that is entirely a personal preference and both put in a lot great personality that brought these characters to life. Both felt like they fit the characters well, but especially Bax felt like he leapt out of the audio and became fully realized for me. I know I will definitely reread this one again and again with audio because it was just such a great listen!
