-what is it about-
Hannah Tate did not expect to be dumped by her loving boyfriend. Especially after finding an engagement ring hidden in the closet. After the horrible night, Hannah decides to move in with her mum and stepfather to lead a new life without the terrible boyfriend. However, she does not expect the house to be in poor condition. Hannah hires the carpenter living next door, which may have serious romantic consequences...
-what I loved?-
-> This book made me laugh a few times - it had pretty fun and sweet moments throughout the book.
-> The beginning of the story (and its premise) was good! I couldn't put this novel down at some point.
-what did I not love?-
→ The main issue was... the romance. I expected more depth in the development of their relationship. It lacked passion and communication, which is why I felt pretty disappointed finishing this novel.
→ The storyline felt flat. I did not expect to find dull descriptions in every chapter without any development in terms of the characters' personalities.
→ I couldn't understand why the spice was suddenly there? I needed more development in terms of their communication and bond.
rating: 2/5 ✮✮
genre: Contemporary Romance
themes: small-town romcom, motherhood, neighbour romance, renovating the house

I loved the narrator and thought they did a wonderful job at narrating this book but my low rating it defiantly for the book itself. I struggled to connect with the characters. The MMC felt one dimensional and the FMC was a little demure. I will say I EAT UP a grumpy/sunshine so that kept me going and really saved the book. I would try another book from this author for sure.

Hannah Tate: Beyond Repair is a light contemporary romance with elements of women’s fiction, focusing on self-discovery, love, and motherhood. The story follows Hannah, a single mom who moves back to her small town after a breakup and hires her hot, laid-back neighbor to help renovate her parents' place. While the book had some fun moments and the writing was hilarious, the romance felt a bit forced, and the characters, especially Hannah, came off as over-the-top and inauthentic at points. With his HGTV-worthy treehouse and yoga-loving, man-bun vibes, the male lead was sweet but gave off knockoff Tarzan energy. I didn’t love the romance and found some parts cringey, but this might be an enjoyable read if you enjoy small-town settings, mountain cabins, and quirky characters. Overall, it was fun but not particularly memorable.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher

When Killian, Hannah's boyfriend and the father of her child, dumps her instead of proposing, she retreats to her parent's place in Georgia, where she talks them into fixing up their cabin as a vacation rental. River, the hot carpenter who lives in the treehouse next door, agrees to work on the project, and views Hannah and her interior design aspirations with a seriousness Killian lacked. However, it seems that someone, or something, is attempting to sabotage the renovation project at every turn.
The story has a lot of heart, with a relatable heroine, surrounded by lackluster men. Hannah's growth was a stronger part of the story than the romance, and her relationship with River seemed more like an untimely rebound, even though the chemistry between them is sizzling.
The narration was compelling, appropriately southern, and dramatic, and as engaging as could be with the material presented.

I'm not sure why I waited so long to listen to this. I loved every minute of it. This book has so much heart and I wanted just to squeeze Hannah Tate and let her know how loved she was. I look forward to reading more from this author and especially hope for more books set in this world.

god this book is insufferable i wish i dnfed it
killian is a big wet rag, i really don’t care about river (he’s just big and apparently hot but that’s his entire personality??) and hannah is such an ick?? she’s got the mentality of a 5yo and she’s a parent?? also she’s far too righteous i- ARGHHH
the airbnb scene was absolutely unnecessary and so so icky, it’s a whole ass ESH situation, the heart attack is gross as heck, why would you make it not medically accurate?? ITS A CODE BLUE?
you’d think they’d be at least one tolerable storyline but no??
and what the heck are the names?? bowie? big daddy? i wanna PUKE
the narrator did an okay job, but the book is so so bad i can’t do this

This book follows Hannah a new mom who finds an engagement ring hidden in her boyfriend's drawers. When they go out to dinner she is expecting a proposal just to find herself single and ringless. As a new mom and someone who feels like they have lost themselves in the world she moves home and begins to bury herself deep into an air BnB remodel, renovation. She finds there is still a spark with someone from her past and begins to ask herself where she wants to go in life and who she wants to be.
When I tell you this book fell flat for me and I have no idea why I really mean it. IT has so much of what I love and maybe I was just not in the mood to read, despite really wanting to be, but I just could not get into this story. That being said the writing was good and the pace was great I just didn't feel connected to the characters I guess.
Recommend this book to anyone who reads the description and thinks they see a part of themselves in our FMC Hannah. Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this story.

What a cute story! Hannah Tate Beyond Repair centers around new Mom Hannah, who has just lost her job and is now going through a recent breakup too. With her life beginning to fall apart, she gets a second chance at love.
I related so much to those post partum newborn days, and thought the narration connected me even more to the story. I would definitely recommend the audio format.
*many thanks to Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for the gifted copy for review

I really liked some of the characters in this book and as a book of friends and family supporting each other, it was good,as a romance not so much

thank you to netgalley for the advanced reading copy. I really enjoyed this and will be getting copies for my shop.

Cute, but forgettable. I actually think it would have been a better story if the third-act break-up had stayed a break-up. The FMC and MMC were sweet characters, but I think this would have been better if it wasn't a romance. Hannah's growth might have felt more complete. The AirBnB drama was pretty entertaining. Narration was nicely done.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an audio ARC.

I absolutely loved Hannah Tate, Beyond Repair by Laura Piper Lee. From the very beginning, I found myself completely engrossed in this audiobook adventure.
As a new mom myself, I found the opening scene to be incredibly relatable. It instantly drew me into Hannah’s world and set the stage for a story that felt authentic and heartfelt.
One of the standout aspects of this audiobook for me was the dynamic between Hannah and her friends. Their friendship felt so genuine and was a joy to experience throughout the story.
Hannah’s parents were an absolute gem, despite the mishaps with the cottage. Their presence added depth to the story and provided some delightful moments of humor and warmth.
But perhaps my favorite part of the audiobook was the tension between Hannah and River. Their relationship was fraught with emotion, and I found myself eagerly anticipating every interaction between them. River’s unwavering support for Hannah and baby Bowie only added to the depth of their connection.
I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for providing me with an ARC of this audiobook. It was truly a delightful listening experience that I won’t soon forget.

I am in the minority for this one. I just didn't really get the chemistry between the two MCs. Attraction- yes. Chemistry- no. The plot was not very believable. If you're in the mood for a surface level, open door romance then grab this one. I know it's very popular on bookstagram, but it wasn't worth the hype for me.

Hannah is deep in the state of new motherhood where you feel like an inhuman, unwashed bladder of milk when she finds out her partner decided against marrying her. She hightails it to her mother's rural home, needing to gain some perspective and recalibrate.
Over the next few months, Hannah figures out what she needs and how to stick up for herself with old partners, new partners, and family to build the life she wants.
Great audio narration.

So stinkin’ cute! I love the chemistry and energy this book gave!! Highly recommend adding to the top of your TBR pile!

"Hannah Tate, Beyond Repair" is the story of the MC Hannah Tate and the upheaval her life is in. She's a new mom, still on maternity leave, who loses her job and her partner in relatively short order. Left to figure out what comes next, she retreats home to live with her parents while she figures out what's next for her and her newborn.
Filled with quirky characters and tense situations that emphasized the pain of adulting at any age, I found it hard to care too much about any of the characters. They just didn't resonate with me, and while many of them did grow throughout the course of the book, it wasn't enough to draw me in.
There were also too many significant unanswered questions for me. For instance, one character is presented as being poor, but eventually provides a long list of properties they own. No explanation as to how or why; just that they exist.
So, unfortunately, Hannah Tate was not my cup of tea...
Thank you to Laura Piper Lee, Dreamscape Media, and NetGalley for an advance review copy.

I enjoyed this book and the narration on the audiobook was so much fun!
Rather than a romance, however, I would probably say it was more of women's fiction novel.
The story is based around Hannah Tate, who as the title suggests, is in a bit of a shambles to begin with. She has to navigate through a break-up, quitting the job she hates, starting a new business, ALL whilst caring for a newborn!
I loved seeing Hannah's character growth and how she started to build more confidence and self assurance. The family and found family supporting her throughout were really the cherry on the top. It was lovely to see how much love was shared between them. I also enjoyed the fact that even the side characters showed growth and they were not just 2D extras in the book. At the end, even I was forgiving the ones that started out as insufferable (Bob excluded, he's still the worst!)
Overall the book was really well-rounded and an entertaining read!

Read the book version so requested the audiobook and loved it! Great narrator and such a cute easy listen.

Well, it took me a month to finish so I think that’s probably all I need to say. It didn’t start off fine but I simply couldn’t connect to the hero. Like once the romance started I simply stopped caring. As for the audiobook, the narrator was great and did her best to keep me engaged.
I received an ALC from the publisher via NetGalley. All opinions are honest and my own.

If you don't like babies, this book will give you the ick. But if you like babies and the whole postpartum thing doesn't freak you out, this book is great. It's a city girl meets country boy trope, add a newborn, some DIY, and a complicated baby daddy situation and you have this book. As someone who is currently pregnant for the first time this book hit differently. Thankfully I cannot relate to Hannah's situation, but it gave me that look into the future of how amazing and fulfilling having and taking care of a baby can be. #HannahTateBeyondRepair #NetGalley
