Love. Betrayal. Forgiveness.
Love comes in all forms—family, spouses, and friends.
Betrayal can destroy love in an instant.
As for forgiveness, it can be difficult and doesn’t always come, but sometimes forgiving yourself is all that’s needed.

The Widow Bride by Carey Baldwin is a psychological thriller about all three. A new exciting and addicting read from the amazing author of psychological thrillers, Carey Baldwin will keep you on the edge of your seat. It will keep you guessing and rethinking your guesses until the very end, and then the end will flip you upside down. I can’t tell you any more than that without giving away spoilers, so I’m not. I’m just going to tell you that if you love a good tale of mystery and suspense, and enjoy the need to know what happens next and who the bad guy is and who isn’t, read The Widow Bride. You won’t regret it!

I highly recommend The Widow Bride, a new psychological thriller by Carey Baldwin, if you’re a fan of edge-of-the-seat thrillers that keep you reading late into the night—just make sure you leave some time for sleep or you’ll end up doing a long day on only two hours of sleep like I did. Happy Reading!

WHAAAAAAT?!
erm. Wow. There were so many twists and turns in this book. You think you have it figured out and then BAM! LITERALLY even the last chapter had a twist I didn’t see coming.

Rosalyn lost her brother, Phillip, to cancer, and is healing with her best friend (and sister-in-law), Mel, her husband and Blake, best friend. But when Blake and Mel start dating, and when an unisual friend of Phil’s comes to visit, questions start to arise.

First of all, daaammn. Second, daaaammmmnn. I'll admit, the first half of this made me think it wasn't going to be a hit. There was a lot of jumping around from person to person, from then to now and back again. There were a few little stories going on that seemed completely separate from each other. I wasn't sure where the story was going. Then, all of a sudden, the dots started connecting, and things were making sense. I started guessing what was going on and could see where it was leading, there were twists and turns. And just when I thought it was over, there was a final twist that I hadn't been expecting. I actually ended up really enjoying this one.

This is the first book I read by Carey and I really enjoyed it. So many twists and turns! Rosalyn promises her brother Phillip that she will look after his wife Melanie when he passes away from Cancer. Rosalyn decided to set up Melanie and Blake, who is Rosalyn’s husbands best friend. Not long after meeting, Blake and Melanie end up getting married. Things start getting weird and the book starts getting good! I couldn’t put the book down. I didn’t know who to trust or how the book was going to end. The twist at the end was shocking, I certainly didn’t see it coming! I’m looking forward to reading more books by Carey. Thank you NetGalley, Carey and Bookouture. #TheWidowBride

The Widow Bride was just a little too choppy and unrealistic for me.
The book flips between then and now.

At one point someone gets pushed off a cliff and then the next chapter just starts back up with her fine and as if she dreamt it but she hadn't.
There is verbiage used that's just not typical such as he wanted to "make it legit" and a lot of possessiveness like he needs to remember who he is siding with or something along those lines.
Or this is not who so and so's widow should be with. Like she has a name and isnt just this other guy who has passed away's property.

Then all of a sudden theres a hit put out on Lola all because of Phillip, who dieds, trust.

It was just tough to enjoy!

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.

This didn't go the way I was expecting, but with so many characters to keep track of I found it a little difficult to get into. A few good twists at the end, but not as gripping as I was expecting.

This was a pretty solid thriller, nothing genre-bending or earth-shattering, and the twist was done well. I think it is worth picking up for a casual weekday read and would read more by the author.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for a copy of the book!

Many thanks to netgalley, the author and the publisher for approving my request to read this book.

Wow, wow, wow, I absolutely loved this book!

The Widow Bride follows Rosalyn who after her brothers tragic death makes go on her promise to look after her sister in law Melanie.

I can't say too much more about the plot itself in case it gives anything away but this books so well written and the characters are fabulous. The story line is fast paced and very twisty throughout.

I'd thoroughly recommend this book if you are a fan of dark, psychological thrillers, you won't be disappointed!

The storyline for this book didn't end up being what I had expected. I wasn't gripped by this book, but it wasn't terrible. It just wasn't what I thought it was. It did have some good twists at the end, but overall, it was not a great read for me. I definitely think there will be other readers who enjoy it much more, but it wasn't for me.

This book had me hooked from the very beginning. I quickly took a liking to the FMC and her story. The author did a great job developing the characters and the plot. When I tell you I kept turning the page to see what will happen next. I was hooked! Thank you for this widget.

Oh. My. Gosh. The twist in this book was absolutely MIND BLOWING. As I read it, I had to stop just to let the gravity of it all sink in. I could not believe it. As a thriller reader, it’s unusual that I’m this shocked by a twist but my jaw hit the floor. And then, after that, there was ANOTHER earth shattering twist. As I read this I thought it was just another run of the mill domestic thriller but I was so wrong! This book has one of the top most shocking twists I’ve ever read. I really loved this book! Thank you so much to Netgalley and Bookouture for giving me the opportunity to read and review this FANTASTIC Advance Copy!

FAB_U_LOUS!
A gripping and dark psychological thriller where the turns and twists just kept hitting you all the way up to the end of the book - the end of the story was brilliant, a shock!
So well plotted and written

This will definitely interest readers who love a psychological thriller with twists, turns and unreliable character with devious secrets. For me, this one was good but not on the top of my must read thriller list. Despite this being a somewhat short book I did find the story a bit slow to pick up pace. It had a satisfying conclusion that I didn't see coming so kudos to that.

Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture and Carey Baldwin for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

WOW! If this isn't a book to brag about I don't know what is... I started it late last night. Never did I anticipate I would be closing the book at 1am left in complete shock... This book was insane! It was twisted, it was gripping but it was so darn good!

After Philip died, Rosalyn was devastated in losing her brother to cancer. She has made a promise to look out for, and care for his new widow Melanie whom is not coping with the loss of her husband. Everyone is then greatly surprised when Melanie starts spending time with the new neighbor Blake, who also just happens to be Roslyn's husband Ashton's best friend. Rosalyn is happy to see Melanie spending time with Blake and this initially seems to be easing her grief, Rosalyn gives the relationship her approval thinking that this may just be the lift Melanie needs. As the relationship becomes deeper Rosalyn then starts to have doubts, Blake seems to be very controlling and Melanie has lost her spark even more so than when Philip passed but she also seems fearful, what on earth is going on? Love, even though it should be, is not always a wondrous feeling, Lies and secrets may come into play affecting our emotions deeply, what should be a wonderful time can become incredibly heartbreaking.
Leave the ending and this one is for you. The ending was abruptl.
Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for giving me an advance copy..
