I was so eager to read this and was not disappointed in the least! Such talent at bringing the characters to life and weaving a story.

Didn't love the first one. Don't love this one either. Feels contrived and unoriginal. I just couldn't dig my teeth into it.

The Next Mrs. Parrish, was a continuation of the series. Definitely like watching a drama filled show with all of the scheming in characters. There was so much at stake with these characters and different things going on. Definitely had me on the edge of my seat and curious throughout the whole book.

I love seeing the character development in Daphne (has the most depth). What she went through previously was horrifying and I am so glad we got to see her come back in the storyline. I was grateful for the reminders of their backstory in this book as well, it was done in a great way.

The plot had great pace and was intriguing with different points. Gasping and out loud moments while reading.

It has been a long time since I read book one and the novella, but the way that the story unfolded and was told brought me right back up to speed to the previous happenings.

This book has some darker elements to it for sure, I think added so much to the story. I love a character to hate.

Thank you to Netgalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine | Bantam for the ARC copy for my honest review.

Ooof! Firstly, read The Last Mrs. Parrish, next read this one! This is how sequels should be done - If you like a clever plot, despicable characters, entertaining and brilliant storytelling then this is the book for you. I absolutely loved it.

Huge thanks to Netgalley and publisher for my advanced reading copy 🙏

I absolutely loved the first book in the series, however, I felt like it did not need a sequel. That being said, of course I was excited to pick up The Next Mrs. Parrish. It was okay, but again, I felt like the story should have ended at the end of The Last Mrs. Parrish.

3 Stars

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read the eARC.

A thrilling and suspenseful sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish. In this installment, old secrets resurface and the games are on. The writing is crisp and engaging and filled with twists and turns, and each character has their own hidden agenda.
Many thanks to Random House and to Netgalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

The Next Mrs. Parrish is a sequal to the best selling thriller The Last Mrs. Parrish by power-house writing duo Liv Constantine. I am sure that if you're anything like me, you enjoyed TNMP and was cheering for Daphne to get away from abusive husband Jackson and fake friend Amber. I thought that the first book in this duology wrapped everything up nicely and we'd never see the two psycho characters again...But alas I was wrong and here we are.

This book was nothing like the first. I was so disappointed and disgusted by the characters and their decisions. It's been seven months and Jackson is being released from prison following a tax evasion sentence. And of course he's coming for Daphne. The twists in this book were so over the top. The characters made some incredibly dumb choices. And the plot and writing were both subpar. I wish Liv Constantine had stopped after the first one and realized that not everything needs a revisit.

I know this got some high reviews, so I encourage readers to do their due diligence and check things out for themselves. But as for me, I was diappointed all around and was happy to be done with this one and to move on to something new.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest thoughts.

The author knows how to pull you in with a tangled up complete drama mess. There are so many things going on with each character that I could not put this book down. But yet each character is entangled with one another in the best, most addicting way. The whole book keeps you on your toes and it was juicy AF! I just wanted to the know the ending. I have no clue why it took me so long to read this!

Amber Parrish is still living a life of luxury, but that could come crashing down if she doesn't get some more money. She won't be able to live the lifestyle that she is accustomed to, and her husband is getting out of jail, someone she really wishes to avoid.

Daphne Parrish is living a great life with her mom and daughters, but the girls are wanting to see their father. When one daughter tries to run away, Daphne agrees to spend time back home with the girls so that they can have supervised visits with their dad.

What happens next is typical Mrs Parrish material. There are twists and turns, and when you think you know what is going to happen, well, you don't. There is a new player in this "game" as well, and you'll find another strong woman who wants to get her way, just like the others.

I really enjoyed this, and it was a fun follow-up to the original book. Definitely check it out!

This was a little slow burn at times, and I found myself yelling at Daphne 'are you stupid' he will never change. I was not expecting the ending to be what it was but that was great.
Payback is a &itch is always the saying and Jackson and Amber both got what they deserved.

This was a great follow up to The Last Mrs. Parrish, which I loved last year! Great twists, but easy to follow!

Title: The Next Mrs. Parrish
Author: Liv Constantine
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️/3 stars

I'm sorry, but if marrying and staying in the marriage for money causes this much havoc, I'll pass! I'll just enjoy my middle-class life over here with way last drama!

It has been a while since I first read, The Last Mrs. Parrish, and I considered rereading it first before starting this one, but it really wasn't necessary. I only had vague memories of the first book, but it still flowed easily into the second novel.

Jackson Parrish has remarried, and the lucky wife is Amber Patterson Parrish! But is she? Lucky? Hmmmm....I guess if deceit, tax invasion, revenge, prison time, betrayal, domestic violence, murder and so on, is lucky? As you progress into this book, the drama just keeps getting worse!!! It was pretty entertaining and kept me on my toes wondering what craziness was going to happen next! Definitely keeps you engaged!

Having enjoyed the Last Mrs. Parrish, I was delighted to get the opportunity to read The Next Mrs. Parrish.
Daphne is trying to put her life and her daughters lives back together after Amber came in like a wrecking ball and destroyed her family. Now the tables are turned and Amber is paying the price for her past sins. This thriller has some interesting twists and turns that will keep you reading until the last page!

*The Next Mrs. Parrish* by Liv Constantine is an absolutely thrilling, fast-paced psychological suspense novel that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. The story revolves around two women—Amber, an ambitious, somewhat desperate woman with a troubled past, and Heather, the seemingly perfect wife of the wealthy Jason Parrish. When Amber enters their world, becoming friends with Heather and setting her sights on Jason, the tension begins to build, and so does the sense that things are not as perfect as they seem.

What I love about this book is how the suspense never lets up. Liv Constantine does an exceptional job of weaving together multiple points of view, revealing key pieces of the puzzle slowly and deliberately. The characters are richly complex, and as the story progresses, you’re constantly kept guessing about their true intentions. Amber, in particular, is a fascinating character—her motivations are unclear at times, and her actions blur the line between sympathy and suspicion.

The pacing is impeccable, with just the right amount of twists, reveals, and shocking moments that keep you hooked. As the layers of deception are peeled away, the plot becomes even more riveting, and the stakes feel incredibly high. The story is full of manipulation, obsession, and betrayal, making it the perfect read for fans of psychological thrillers.

Ultimately, *The Next Mrs. Parrish* is a twisty, addictive, and highly enjoyable thriller that is impossible to put down. If you enjoy books with unreliable narrators, dramatic twists, and a deep dive into the darker sides of human nature, this book will be right up your alley. It’s a masterfully crafted, edge-of-your-seat kind of story, and one that will linger long after you’ve finished it.

The Next Mrs. Parrish is a fast paced game of cat and mouse between nemesis Amber and Daphne from The Last Mrs. Parrish and delves into the mysterious past of Amber including other's wronged by her narcissistic behaviors!!

And, let's not forget the controlling and manipulative Jackson! What will he get up to after his release from prison?!?! Will he be a changed man?!?!

A quick, easy, unputdownable follow up! I really enjoyed this book overall and felt it kept up the suspense! The story had a few inconsistencies and unbelievability which held me from a 5 star review but worth the time to read!

This was a sequel that I wasn’t needing, and still don’t think I needed. But it was fun. If you like the first one then you’ll like this one.

I really liked this book and want to go back and the read the first one. It starts off with two women Daphne and Amber. Amber is the current Mrs.Parrish and she enjoys all the spoils of her husbands success until he goes to jail for tax fraud. Amber realizes she needs to do something in order to maintain their status while Daphne wants nothing to do with her ex while her daughters want some kind of relationship with him. He winds up getting out early and Daphne and her kids spends the summer in Connecticut. Things keep happening but who can trust who?

The Next Mrs. Parrish is the sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish. We pick up right where we left off with Amber as the new wife, Daphne safe away from her past chaos and Jackson in prison.

Tallulah runs away from home leaving Daphne in a panic and realizing that her girls really want to see their father. She agrees to a summer with Jackson but is quickly sucked right back into his trap.

Meanwhile Amber is planning her own escape but the life she ran away from before is quickly catching up with her.

I enjoyed this book so much, it was a great ending to the story. I do wish the ending was a little different but overall liked the book.

Thank you so much NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This was a fabulous follow up to The Last Mrs. Parrish. And revisits a prequel that was released in between the two books. I love hating all of these characters. It’s such a fun read.
