Okay so being honest I had to do a refreshed of The Last Mrs. Parrish - because while I could never forget that jaw dropping twist, I forgot some of the little details. This story picks up right where The Last Mrs. Parrish left off though and I loved the POVs, chaotic characters and overall twists.

Overall this was a fun and thrilling book to read! I absolutely loved the first book in this series, but this one wasn’t as good in my opinion.
There were a few storylines going on at the same time and I was only strongly invested in one of them. The other storylines became a little too convoluted and didn’t connect with the main story line until the very end. Daphne was a character I absolutely loved in this book! She was so strong and did what was necessary to keep her daughters safe. Her ex, Jackson, was just as deranged if not more, than he was in the first book. Talk about a freakin’ nightmare he was! 🤯
The ending was sweet justice and was a perfect finale to everyone’s story.
Thank you so much @bantambooksuk for the #gifted physical ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I read the first Mrs Parrish book last year so I was excited to read the next installment. While I am not sure that we needed a second book, this was a fun ride!
We got three POVs in the new book, Amber & Daphne from the first book and a third new POV - Daisy Ann (a woman that Amber wronged in the past). It was interesting to read about the aftermath of the first book and see how Amber continued her messy journey and how Daphne was fairing. With the new storyline with Daisy Ann things got even more chaotic and the web of drama got even more tangled.
I found myself getting frustrated about how Jackson Parrish continued to be a menace to all women and society.. But that was the point for sure!
The ending had me gagged, as did the first book, so I recommend reading it if you enjoyed the first one.

If you liked the other book in this series, you'll like this one.
I did struggle through it a bit, but enjoyed it overall.
Will rate it as 4 stars.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this ARC

My review may be a little skewed as I am a big fan of Liv Constantine's books and I enjoyed the Last Mrs. Parrish, so once The Next Mrs. Parrish was announced, I knew I needed to read as soon as possible!
What a page turner, I finished this book in 24 hours!

I have been waiting for this one!! I loved the First Mrs Parrish and this one was equally as thrilling and enjoyable

I ADORED the Last Mrs. Parrish and was so excited to receive a copy of the sequel to review. However; I felt there was too much going on plot wise that, at first, was easy to keep track of before going off the deep end towards the 60% mark. I realized I didn't care enough about the going's on with Amber and her society friends and chose to "not finish."

Amber Patterson Parrish has transformed from an invisible wallflower into a leading socialite, but her hard-won freedom is threatened as her husband, Jackson, nears release from prison following a tax-evasion scandal. Meanwhile, Daphne Parrish returns to Bishops Harbor to allow supervised visits between Jackson and their daughters, despite her mistrust of him. When a figure from Amber's past seeks revenge, the three women form an unlikely alliance, navigating a dangerous game of deception.
I read The Last Mrs. Parrish in June, and of course, I left no written review, but I gave it a 3 star rating as well. These books are entertaining, they can be dark, but there's no real staying power - hence, the 'middle of the road' rating. I was curious to see what kind of sequel the author could come up with - the first one didn't exactly lend itself to a follow up, it could've been a decent standalone. But I enjoyed how Constantine was able to intertwine the characters' stories, motivations, and even their fears. The ending of this book was a little jarring, wasn't expecting how she dealt with one character in specific - but it felt like a just ending overall. I did a combo of audio and digital, and the audio was great because it had multiple narrators for the different POVs.

So excited to have the long awaited sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish! I was immediately hooked back into the lives of the Parrish family and rooting for Daphne more than ever. I love not knowing who is playing who more and the twist near the end I absolutely did not see coming. Liv Constantine did a great job tugging at my heart strings with the understanding that as a mom, we would do absolutely anything for our kids and I found myself internally screaming with rage at Jackson all over again. Would absolutely love to see both novels on the big screen some day, it would be a must watch!
Thank you Random House Publishing and NetGalley for this ARC!

“Regret is a wasted emotion.”
Let me start off by saying that the first book, The Last Mrs Parrish, is a perfect stand alone thriller, and I don’t usually enjoy sequels to thrillers or thrillers made into a series. So while I highly enjoyed this book, I also don’t think it’s completely necessary.
But with that said, it was a perfectly bingeable read. I got so angry that it propelled me to keep going because I needed to know what was going to happen. I listened on audio, and I like that there was a cast of characters. All the main characters from the first book are back with some new ones too. I didn’t know where the story was going to go, and that added to my enjoyment. The ending was a little rushed, but besides that the pacing was good.
So, while I think this was a great read, I don’t feel that it’s wholly necessary. But if you do decide to read it you won’t be disappointed!

Liv Constantine does not disappoint in this novel. Full of thrills and edge, she keeps the reader engaged until the bitter end.

This one is a little hard to believe in several places- so much crossing and double-crossing going on. I just let myself enjoy the book for what it was rather than dissecting it and expecting reality. Some of the manipulation didn't make sense to me. Ironically, I did enjoy it, even though it was pretty unrealistic- at least for the world I live in! It wasn't the sequel that I expected and didn't live up to how good The Last Mrs Parrish was.

I enjoyed the original book, but had a hard time remembering all the details since the sequel came out much later. But, the author does a good job of reminding you what you need to know. I didn't like the sequel as much - I found a lot of the characters behavior to just be too unbelievable, and honestly had a hard time liking any of the characters. It did keep me guessing as they were all playing one another the whole time.

initial thoughts: was very hesitant going into this sequel, as the first book didn’t sit right with me with the domestic violence “you get what you deserve” theme.
thankfully this book didn’t have that, and I did like seeing where the characters stories ended (a bit of justice was served!)
definitely not my favorite thriller and nothing that made it unforgettable, but did enjoy seeing how Daphne & Amber’s stories ended.
thanks to NetGalley & Bantam for the ARC!

The comeback I didn't know I needed! I loved The Last Mrs. Parrish and I didn't know how a second book after so long would hold up. I was not disappointed. The story picks up right around the time Jackson is being released from prison, of course looking to get his family back, not because he's a good person, but because he's Jackson.
Oh Amber... She finally met her match! The introduction of new characters to the storyline was great. Finding out more about Amber's background and just how terrible she really is was good too.
I enjoyed the "girl power" of this book in general.
Thank you Netgally and the authors for the ARC of this book. I will definitely be purchasing a copy to live on my shelf as I know I will want to read this one again.

I absolutely loved The Last Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine—it’s the kind of psychological thriller that pulls you in and doesn’t let go. Amber Patterson is a brilliantly cunning character, and watching her meticulously plot her way into the life of Daphne Parrish was both thrilling and unsettling. The way the story unravels with shocking twists kept me turning pages late into the night, and just when I thought I had it all figured out, the plot surprised me again. It’s the perfect blend of suspense and glamour, making it impossible to put down.
What made me love this book even more was the way Constantine builds tension between the two women. The dual perspectives of Amber and Daphne provide such a rich, layered narrative, and the contrast between their lives adds depth to the story. The dark secrets, the unexpected twists, and the powerful ending made The Last Mrs. Parrish one of my favorite thrillers. It’s the kind of book that leaves you thinking about it long after you’ve finished.

The next mrs Parrish review
I distinctly remember reading The Last Mrs. Parrish and being completely in awe of the story and the twists and turns it took. So naturally, when I heard a sequel was coming, it got added to my TBR immediately! I listened to this one on audio and it has a full cast of narration, which I always thinks adds to the storytelling!
If you read The Last Mrs. Parrish, Amber and Daphne have found their lives intertwined yet again. While Jackson is in prison, Amber enjoys living her life as a Parrish, though it brings its own issues. When Daphne returns to Bishops Harbor, she realizes leaving this time may prove to be more difficult. Once Jackson is released from prison, the lies and betrayals begin again in this juicy thriller.
Similar to the previous book, this book is full of thrills and scandals that will have you turning the page quickly. The characters are so devious and you can’t help but to love to hate them. It is a fast-paced page turner that is packed with twists, some of which I guessed while others were a complete surprise. The multiple points of view worked so well because it allowed you to slowly figure out how all of their paths crossed.
While it’s good to have some context, this book can definitely be read as a standalone because Liv Constantine did a great job of recapping a lot of what happened in the first book. If you’re looking for a good thriller to read as the cooler weather hits, be sure to pick this on up!

I early enjoy Liv Constantine novels and The Last Mrs Parrish was fantastic. Overall this sequel was interesting and held my attention but felt a little far fetched in ways. Not a terrible read by any means but not a new favorite either.

I read The Last Mrs. Parish a couple years ago and loved it, so as soon as I saw this one I just had to get my hands on it! This one didn’t quite live up to the first one, until the ending. At first I was wondering why this even needed a sequel. But it was an enjoyable, fast-paced thriller with new characters and twists. If you’re on the fence with this one, I definitely recommend reading it!
