The Next Mrs. Parrish picks up where The Last Mrs. Parrish left off. That's to say that you're in for another wild ride! Sisters Lynne and Valerie Constantine are a dynamic duo and together they know how to weave a story and keep you guessing. Characters Amber, Jackson, and Daphne jump off the page as we learn more about their backgrounds. We also meet a new character by the name of Daisy Ann who is about as Texan as they come. Read how she ends up tying into each characters storyline. It's worth the read if you can get past the very exaggerated Texas slang, which was mildly annoying. One of the final twists had my mouth drop open!
Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine, Bantam for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this diabolical story. Pub date 06/18/24!

Constantine keeps luring me away from my better judgement with these perfect "rich people doing wrong" covers, and I'm genuinely upset with myself about it. So, nothing here really worked (except maybe the cover). The biggest problem is the obvious rift in the space time continuum that makes this pacing make sense to anyone.

Was this sequel totally necessary? Probably not. Was it still a fun read full of twists and luxury lifestyle porn? Yes.

Honestly the first book felt like it tied up things pretty nicely, Daphne had made her escape with her two daughters and Jackson and Amber seemingly got what was coming to them (him in jail, her shameful past revealed). However, Constantine found ways to extend the storyline that felt pretty fresh. Also they incorporated the main loose end from the first book which was the issue of Jackson and Daphne's daughters.

The Next Mrs. Parrish has Daphne and the girls living happily in California, Jackson in jail about to be released, and Amber scheming to end up on top as usual. Unfortunately for Daphne, her girls miss their father and on the advice of her therapist to prioritize her daughters mental health returns to Bishops Harbor. Of course everything immediately goes sideways and Daphne must figure out a way to untangle herself from her controlling ex. Amber is occasionally present but she has her own schemes taking up most of her storyline. This time she's focused on Texas native Daisy Anne but I can't reveal more without spoiling a major plot point.

Overall this was pretty enjoyable and Constantine's simple writing style made the book fly by. The one issue (cliche as it is) was there was a lot of telling us what was happening and not a lot of showing. Also there were definitely some unbelievable parts but I think all the money floating around kind of explains that away. I don't know if there will be a third book in this series but if there is I will probably read it.

I was provided a free copy of this book through NetGalley.

Another great addition the to Parrish family saga. I loved the multiple storylines for Daphne, Daisy, and Amber. This novel was exciting in that you never knew what was going to unfold. It did not end how I expected. Another 5 star read!

Welcome back to Bishops Harbor, home of the worst human on earth, Jackson Parrish, and his equally terrible wife, Amber Patterson Parrish. While Jackson has been in prison since his tax-evasion scandal almost a year ago, Amber is still sitting at the top of the Bishops Harbor community pecking order. But with Jackson getting released soon, Amber's freedom is quickly coming to an end, and the money is running out. Meanwhile, the last Mrs. Parrish, Daphne, got the hell out of Connecticut and has been living in California with her two daughters. When one of the girls runs away, desperate to see her father, Daphne reluctantly agrees to return to Bishops Harbor for the summer. Once out of prison, Jackson swears he's a changed man and hopes to reunite his family, but Daphne knows he can't be trusted.

The Mrs. Parrishes are back, and, as usual, our favorite thriller duo, Lynne and Valerie, knocked it out of the park with this gripping sequel. Was a sequel really necessary? Maybe not. Did I enjoy it? Absolutely. Returning to Bishops Harbor again was a wild ride full of deception, revenge, and lies. This book will have you holding your breath and make your blood boil. I was hooked from the first page and could not put it down. While there weren't as many huge twists as the original, this book did have a few surprising bombshells. Regrettably, I did not read the prequel, The First Shot, but I was still able to jump right back into Daphne and Amber's story. If you loved The Last Mrs. Parrish, I highly recommend this exciting sequel!

Thank you to NetGalley and Bantam for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was highly anticipated for me and throughout the story I found myself rolling my eyes during some parts and was getting so anxious about what was going to happen. I really thought I had it all figured out, but NOPE! I sure didn’t. I loved how this ended and was really thrown for a loop in the best way. If you enjoyed The Last Mrs. Parrish, you are in for a treat with this one!

I was SO EXCITED about this book! The Last Mrs Parrish remains, to this day, one of my favorite books. While you don’t need to read the two books prior to this one, I recommend it. Many story lines are worn in that come from the prior two books.

This book did not disappoint. The despicable characters that you love to hate, the twists and turns, this book was so fun to read! I loved every page. I literally couldn’t put it down. I recommend everyone put this on your want to read list.

Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the ARC.

THIS BOOK! I have already recommended to 2 book friends and will be suggesting all summer! I found myself gasping and so stressed out for Daphne! This is going to make all the lists this year! I definitely recommend reading The Last Mrs Parrish and First Shot before this one!

The follow up book to the Last Mrs. Parrish did not disappoint! (Note: Read the Novella, The First Shot prior to this book to really get it.) I really liked the multiple pov’s and how the stories wove together. While I despised some of these characters I still enjoyed the story and with a couple of them that was probably the point. There were lots of twists and turns in the story that kept things interesting. I read the books back to back so I didn’t love all of the reiterating from the first book, but based on the large amount of time between the publishing dates I can see why this was done. Overall a solid 4 star read. Thanks to NetGalley and Bantam for the ARC.

I think it’s beneficial to read “the first shot” novella prior to reading this book. It gave a good back story for Amber to understand how all the characters fit together in this book.

There has been a lot of hype this book but
I feel like ending with the last Mrs Parrish would’ve been the better choice.

This book had a lot of repetitive themes of the first. Amber and Jackson were awful in all the same ways. Daphne was still naive and annoying. Daisy was the only semi interesting character. Things just more ridiculous and over the top.
For example Amber steals something very valuable from Jackson and he’s barely mad and moves on from it quickly even though it’s clear it will cause problems for him. This does not make sense for the plot in my opinion. I had similar feelings at a lot of points in the book.
It was a quick, easy read with a lot of drama, I’ll give it that.

Thank you to the publisher for the gifted arc.

This was ok. Didn't feel like it was necessary after the first and the prequel. There was a lot of rehashing those stories in this book. A few of the events were far fetched in my opinion.

The Next Mrs. Parrish is a sequel. Don't worry, you will catch up pretty quickly or remember the story after a chapter or two. Constantine takes a few chapters to get everything settled and then the story TAKES OFF!

When Jackson, who is Daphne's ex and Amber's current husband and husband is released from prison there are mixed feelings for all. Daphne would like nothing better than to never see him again while Amber is hoping that she can make enough amends with him to have a financial nest egg. Jackson Parrish of course, has a plan that doesn't take either of their feelings or desires into consideration, Jackson is an evil force.

Add in an old nemesis of Amber's and there is a crazy-good complex cat and mouse game between all of the players. Constantine easily juggles everyone's story line and motivations and the story remains smooth and easy to follow. The cross/double cross to triple crossing is breath taking and beautifully done. You will exclaim out loud, I guarentee it! If you are looking for an exciting thriller, a domestic cat and mouse story of just loved the The Last Mrs. Parrish, then The Next Mrs. Parrish is for you!

Another solid read involving the wives of Mr. Parrish. This one had a lot of fun twists and turns going on and a fun new Texas sized character named Daisy Ann. Very enjoyable and easy to fly through. I will read whatever the Mrs. Parrishs' get into next.

Next sentence may count as a spoiler... read with caution.

I will especially keep reading now that Mr. Parrish very much got what he deserved in this one. Is that a spoiler? Unsure but you'll be rooting for it the entire time.

Amber Parrish is back at it again! I loved this sequel to the Last Mrs Parrish. I would definitely recommend reading The First Shot novella before picking this one up, as it will help the story make more sense since one POV is a character from that novella. I really don’t have any complaints about this one. I went in blind because I had no idea a sequel was even being written! Amber is as conniving, manipulative, and greedy as ever and I loved every minute of it. She’s up to a lot of scheming in this book, and we get quite the ride from her and Jackson as well. Daphne’s also back in the mix so you can see how it’s going to get very messy. The writing was great, the pacing was fast, and the ending did NOT disappoint. Thank you so much to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for giving me the opportunity to read a sequel to one of my favorite thrillers early!

Love a Liv book and love a Mrs. Parrish book! This did not disappoint. While the writing was sometimes a bit redundant, it is overall well done (as I expected) and I liked the plot, even with 3 different perspectives to keep up with. I know I’m not supposed to root for the bad guys, but I was definitely enjoying Amber’s story most. Some parts of the plot are a bit too easy and unrealistic but not enough to take you out of the book and didn’t frustrate me so maybe I’m just being nitpicky.
Fantastic book - and I’m torn on if I want another in this series or if we leave it all wrapped up. 🤔

I literally felt my heart speed up when I saw this pop up on NetGalley. I've read every book that Liv Constantine has published, and in my opinion, they just keep getting better. Admittedly, at times, I was wondering how the story would be able to successfully wrap up, but I was delighted that the "bad guys" got what was coming to them and that the "good guys" were able to break free and hopefully live long, happy, productive lives. It's always such an exciting thing to be able to revisit characters from years ago, and find out you actually still care what happens to them in their fictional world.... this book was everything I had hoped it would be, and more.

4.5, it was like coming home with jumping right back in to Daphne and Amber’s lives. I enjoyed the first half of the book building on more of their stories. The second half HOLY crap! Their twists were so well played. I didn’t see them coming and I was seriously freaking out for Daphne.

I enjoyed going back to Bishop Harbor. I still LOATHE Amber but gleefully appreciate the endings of both she and Jackson

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC!

I finished this book in two sittings, and I enjoyed it! I did not really get hooked until about 40% through the book. The parts where gaslighting and manipulation were happening were extremely well done and very believable. I do think some parts could have used a little more "fluff" - I enjoy hearing more about how characters are thinking/feeling and a little more of what's happening in the background - at times, some things did feel a little abrupt. But overall, the book was fast-paced and easy to get through. The ending left you with a cliffhanger that makes you think we'll definitely be hearing more from Amber and Daphne in the future. This is a solid 3.5/5 for me.

Loved loved lovedddddd the conclusion to this set of books!! I love when a book/series has a solid ending that wraps it all up and leaves you satisfied!! I liked the first book more, as I feel this one was a little repetitive, but none the less this book was an amazing read!!

Thank you Net Galley for letting me have early access to this book!! Liv Constantine did it again with having me hooked on a book!!!

(4.5 stars) Multiple POVs; lies & deception; hard to get into at first but then it picked up and the intrigue/anticipation just kept growing; multiple twists, with a rapid fire towards the end; the unlikeable characters are even more unlikeable; several pieces to the plot that all interweave and come together in a satisfying ending; not a necessary sequel but worth the read; this sequel also made me appreciate the prequel way more.
