This book! Was I worried about a follow-up to a book I truly liked not living up to the hype? All of the yes. Did this actually succeed in being amazing despite the first being good? All of the YES! I loved it. It was drama. It was telenovela. It was catty. It was rewarding. It truly enjoyed it and would read more (if it ever continued). Solid, solid 5!

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this advanced edition!

I was a fan of the first book in this series but this one just missed the mark for me. I loved how the first book ended and didn't feel this one was really needed to continue the story of Amber, Daphne, and Jackson. I give this three stars for the good writing but the story itself wasn't enough to grip me like the first novel did.

This is the sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish. You need to read the first book before reading this one.

The cat and mouse games continue with Amber, Daphne, and Jackson with the addition of a new character. Daisy Ann Briscoe is someone from Amber’s past who is looking for justice and revenge for Amber’s past actions. All four characters are trying to scam and outsmart each other. Who will have the upper hand? Who will be the last one standing? Does good conquer evil? Which characters can you trust?

This book is a page turner and full of suspense.

“Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none.”

This book was the perfect ending to the Mrs. Parrish series. All my thoughts on how it would end were blown away, I would highly recommend this to entire series to anyone. All the characters were well thought of and played an important part in their roles. The twists and turns kept you guessing the whole time and on the edge of your seat. Liv Constantine is a mastermind!

✨Book Review✨
The Next Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
.
I really did not think I was going to get sucked into this book the way that I did. I LOVED the first book in this series, but I read it so long ago that I hardly remembered anything at all. I had to read a few summaries online to refresh my memory. I advise anyone else to do the same as you do need to have at least a basic memory of the first book to pick this one up.
.
I read 75 percent of the book in one day, which is not usual for me. Something about the way these authors write really sucks me in. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loved book one. I thought it was well worth reading. I wish it had been out when I read the previous book, as I think it would have been more satisfying to read them together.
.
While some loose ends are tied up, the ending of this book definitely leaves room for another book to be added to this series. I listened to the audio and enjoyed it!

In The Next Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine, Amber Patterson Parrish has transformed herself from an invisible wallflower to a prominent socialite through meticulous planning and hard work, despite facing many challenges. Her stability is threatened by the imminent release of her husband Jackson from prison for tax evasion, which begins to disrupt her control over her life and finances. Daphne Parrish, Jackson's ex-wife, returns to Bishops Harbor when one of her daughters runs away to see Jackson, reluctantly re-entering a world she had left behind. As a ghost from Amber’s past seeks revenge, the lives of Amber, Jackson, and Daphne become intertwined in unexpected and suspenseful ways, leading to a gripping tale of duplicity and betrayal.

I enjoyed this book overall but believe the first book in the series was the best. It's definitely worth reading the prequel to fully appreciate this story, as some loose ends are tied up from the first book. The characters are a mix of likable and unlikable, adding depth to the story. While the twists were engaging, the pacing sometimes felt slow, making parts of the book drag. Additionally, I wasn’t entirely satisfied with the open ending, which left some questions unanswered. Despite these minor drawbacks, "The Next Mrs. Parrish" is an entertaining read that will make you rethink everything you thought you knew about the characters' motivations and alliances.

Thank you NetGalley and Random House for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I had high hopes for this sequel as the first book was one of my favorite reads last year. I think I may have had too high of hopes for this sequel because I was underwhelmed by this book. It didn’t meet my expectations. I enjoyed how the book ended but I felt like it was dragged out a bunch until the end. Also Daphne and Daisy are too similar of names so I kept having to take a min to reorient myself whenever the chapters would change to ensure I knew who was the narrator that chapter. Overall I’d say it was average.

3.5 stars. I was so excited to get this sequel. Overall it was mediocre. Overall, I enjoyed reading it, but it did not live up to the first one for me. I was safisfied with how it ended but found it a little predictable. It was a little too "Lifetime movie" for me. I do love to hate Amber's character. Jackson's motives were lacking a little bit for me in this story.

Liv Constantine did it again! I was absolutely in love with the Last Mrs. Parrish book and actually rated it 5 stars. Getting an ARC for this sequel was very exciting for me, and I enjoyed it just as much as the first book! The way she writes and the twists and turns that are in it are just phenomenal. I will always pick up her books immediately.

This is the sequel I didn’t know I needed! And it sounds like there might be a third?!

Liv Constantine is back at it with THE NEXT MRS PARRISH, sucking us back into the rich people drama we all know and love from book one, but with new characters and new suspense at the forefront. I love how Liv Constantine crafts their stories — juicy, engaging, plot-driven, all leaving you wanting more.

And they even make you feel bad for the villain? Not the man villain. He sucks and we all know it.

So thankful I received an early copy of this one! Can’t wait for whatever comes next!

I loved The Last Mrs. Parrish but I just couldn't get into The Next Mrs. Parish. I don't know if it was the Audiobook narrator or what, but unfortunately this book was a miss for me.

The Next Mrs. Parrish is the sequel to the best-seller, The Last Mrs. Parrish. In this book, we reconnect with Daphne, Amber, and Jackson Parrish and their drama. Lawrence is out of jail and determined to get first wife, Daphne, back, at any cost. Meanwhile, Daphne is far away with her daughters acclimating to life without Jackson. Amber is still Amber - scheming and manipulative. The Parrishes are in for a while ride when they are unfortunately brought back together (Daphne and Jackson), while Amber is planning her greay escape. Of course, this wouldn't be a great Mrs. Parrish read without the drama. And boy, is the drama good! There are several schemes and twists and I was taken for quite the ride! Very enjoyable!

Thank you NetGalley, Random House Publishing Group- Ballantine, and Liz Constantine for this thrilling read!

If you read this sequel, you might want to reread The Last Mrs. Parrish again. I rgetting ead it when it first came out and I had forgotten a lot about the characters and what they had done.

Amber Parrish, after getting Jackson away from first wife Daphne, is now trying to get away from Jackson. He is doing time for tax evasion and she wants it set up for her to leave him before he gets home. She finds diamonds he has hidden and makes plans to leave the country and set herself up for the good life. That does not include her son Jax. The best laid plans.....Jackson gets out early and all he wants is to get back Daphne so he enlists Amber's help. These two are so awful. It was hard getting past the terrible things they did for money or some sick kind of love. It got to be a bit too much for me.

Daisy Ann needs to get Amber arrested for murdering her father. She knows that she did it, even if they found no evidence otherwise. She will not rest until she gets her.

Lots of machinations and backstabbing. The ending is good. You want to see some kind of justice.

Thanks to Netgalley and Random House Ballantine for a copy for review.

If you loved her first book you must read to read this one. Holy smokes! I felt satisfied with the ending of the first book and wondered where this would go. It did not disappoint. It was great!

Did the first book need a sequel? No. Did I enjoy the heck out of this one anyway? Yes.

I rolled my eyes a bunch and it had just as many unlikable characters, but the chapters were short and easy to get through. Not as suspenseful but I liked it.

3.5 stars

I enjoyed the writing style better than the first book, which struggled at times to keep the story moving. This time around, us readers knew what to expect, yet were still surprised with the work of Constantine. An equally thrilling story!

I loved this sequel! Sequels sometimes make me nervous living up to how great the first book was . This sequel was great and immediately I got engrossed again with the characters from the first book .

I thought this was a very good sequel to follow the first book. I thought this book was fun and was definitely a page turner. I’m always a fan of multiple POVs! It’s like reading other stories within the story. But it was done so well!

I should preface my review by saying that I really liked The Last Mrs. Parrish. It was twisty and thrilling. The ending was one of the best I've ever read in a thriller and I've read hundreds of them. The characters were terrible, but they had depth and there was at least one to root for.

My overall feeling with this follow-up to The Last Mrs. Parrish was: why? We pick up sort of where the last book left off, but not really. Jackson is in prison where he should be but unfortunately he's due to get out. Amber is still very Amber which is awful. Daphne has moved across country where she definitely should have stayed and never let her children out of her sight. But wait is there a new Mrs. Parrish lurking? Maybe??

Why... That's all I can think with this book. Why did we need it? I want to write more, but I just don't think the book even deserves it. Immediately upon starting the book, I thought, oh this doesn't feel right. This is not the Mrs. Parrish vibes. This is not the follow-up that I anxiously awaited. Just very much did not enjoy.

I was so happy to read another Liv Constantine book. I enjoyed the first Mrs. Parrish book, and really enjoyed this one as well. I found myself getting so frustrated with Daphne at times, but an unknown ally comes along to help take Amber and Jackson down.
