As an avid fan eagerly anticipating the release of "The Next Mrs. Parrish," I was fortunate enough to get my hands on an advance copy, and let me tell you – it was well worth the wait! Liv Constantine has truly outdone themselves with this sequel, crafting a narrative that effortlessly surpasses the brilliance of the first part.

From the very beginning, the characters in "The Next Mrs. Parrish" come to life with a vividness that is both captivating and unnerving. The speed at which the plot unfolds keeps readers on the edge of their seats, with twists and turns that are as unexpected as they are thrilling. The intricate web of lies continues to grow, ensnaring everyone in its path, and the resolution is nothing short of satisfying as each character receives what they truly deserve.

What sets this novel apart is the masterful exploration of the characters' psyche, especially those who have endured abusive relationships. The portrayal is both raw and authentic, capturing the essence of the emotional toll such relationships can take. The freedom and liberation experienced by those who break free from the shackles of abuse are depicted with a poignant realism that resonates long after the final pages.

One of the novel's strengths lies in its ability to evoke conflicting emotions towards the villains. Are they truly detestable, or is there a glimmer of sympathy for the hardships they've faced? Liv Constantine skillfully navigates these gray areas, leaving readers questioning their own perceptions and moral compass.

The theme of maternal instinct and the lengths a mother will go to protect her children adds a powerful layer to the narrative. The novel portrays the resilience and courage of mothers facing their worst nightmares head-on, emphasizing the strength found in the face of adversity.

Additionally, the book sheds light on the pervasive issue of power dynamics, exposing the dark reality of individuals who exploit their influence to prey on the vulnerable. This societal commentary adds depth to the story, making it not only a compelling thriller but also a thought-provoking exploration of human nature.

In conclusion, "The Next Mrs. Parrish" is a true masterpiece that exceeds all expectations. Liv Constantine has crafted a gripping and emotionally charged narrative that delves into the complexities of relationships, abuse, and the indomitable spirit of those who strive for freedom. I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to read this outstanding sequel before its official release as an Advance Reader Copy. It is a must-read for anyone seeking thrilling literary experience.

A few years ago, when I first read The Last Mrs. Parrish, I rated it 2 stars. Ever since then, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I knew it was super popular and hyped. I thought I may have been too harsh on that rating. So when I was approved for The Next Mrs. Parrish, I changed my rating to 3 stars.
After reading The Next Mrs. Parrish, I was reminded why I rated it so low initially. The decisions the characters make to move the plot forward does not make sense. It makes for a frustrating and unenjoyable read. Jackson is always impossibly one step ahead of Daphne while also being one step behind Amber.
The Next Mrs. Parrish introduces us to Daisy Ann but I don’t think she’s centered in the story enough for the reader to care and makes for a very convenient ending.
I think this book suffers from the infamous Unnecessary Sequel category.
That being said, will I read anything by this author? Yes.
Will I be seated when The Last Mrs. Parrish movie releases? Also yes.

This book took me on an incredible journey, so, if you read or haven’t read the last Mrs. Parish you need to read it. This book. the last Mrs. Parrish is and was phenomenal. I honestly did not want to put the book down because it was so good. Every chapter had my jaw dropped wide open. The twists and turns in this book will keep you up not wanting to do anything else. So do yourself a huge favor when this book comes out, get yourself a copy and read it. Liv Constantine thank you so much for allowing me to read this phenomenal book. Congratulations.

Thank you NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine, Bantam for letting me read this e-arc early. This was one of my most anticipated books that I wanted to read this year. It did not disappoint me one bit.It was, for me however a bit slow to get into. This is the 3rd book in the series. You should read The Last Mrs. Parrish and the prequel novella The First Shot before reading this book.
With shocking turns and entertaining characters, The Next Mrs. Parrish will make you rethink everything you thought you knew about duplicity and betrayal.

Liv Constantine is a favorite author of mine and I always look forward to their new releases. This one did not disappoint! Daphne, Amber and Jackson are back with the continuation of their story. Some new twists involving Amber are thrown into the story this time and make it even easier to hate her. The Last Mrs. Parrish is one of my favorite books and this one is just as great. Thanks for the ARC.

I can't remember the last time I was so excited for a book release. I loved The Last Mrs Parrish and the subsequent titles by sister writing team Liv Constantine. I was so enthralled by this sequel that I finished it in one day. Daphne, Amber and Jackson are back and the "cat and mouse" game continues. A new character, Daisy Ann is added into the mix and the twists and turns are abundant. This sequel is just as strong as the first book. If you are new to these authors you may want to read the Last Mrs Parrish first. If you like psychological thrillers you will really enjoy this novel. Thanks to #netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely loved this book and could not put it down. I was emotionally invested in these characters from the minute I started reading. There were characters I really loved (Daphne, Daisy Anne), and characters I hated throughout the book (Jackson, Amber) and I kept turning pages hoping for their comeuppance’. The authors writing had me intrigued from page one, and I did not put this down until I finished. Great weekend read.

The story intertwines the lives of Daphne, Jackson, Amber, and Daisy Anne (along with their respective family and friends). Each chapter is told from one person’s perspective, with twists and turns that left me constantly guessing what would happen next. Great execution from start to finish.

I was so excited that I was chosen to read this book, since the Last Mrs. Parrish was one of my favorite novels. Daphne and Amber are back! I felt that this book wasn’t as plot twisty as the first one. It also seemed shorter or that it moved along faster. I did it enjoy, just not as much as the first.

The Next Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine is a domestic thriller filled with lies and deception. This book takes place after the first book The Last Mrs. Parrish. Make sure you read that book first. There is even a novella called the First Shot that will give you more background into Amber.

I could not put this book down and loved every minute of the twisty ride it took me on. It is hard to review and not give anything away but I enjoyed the characters and loved to hate a few. I was engaged in each of the characters storylines and kept trying to predicting how everything was related and how it would play out in the end.

I loved being back in Bishop Harbor high society again. If you liked the first book then I think you will enjoy this one as well.

Thank you NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group- Ballantine for an ARC of this book. I voluntarily read it and gave an honest review.

This review will be posted on my Goodreads and my Instagram book account. A link will be provided in the attached links.

Very unrealistic, but pretty fast paced.

All of the plot twists that made the ending of the first book so good were watered down and explained away very quickly.

And unfortunately, the plot twists made me roll my eyes 😭

Thank you Netgalley and Random House Publishing for this eARC. I really enjoyed The Last Mrs. Parrish and was excited to learn that the sequel was available on Netgalley! I was even more excited when Netgalley approved my request. 😊 This book does not disappoint. It’s told from 3 different characters’ points of view and flows very nicely throughout. Could not put this one!

If you enjoyed The Last Mrs. Parrish, you will like the sequel. I recommend reading the prequel, The First Shot, before reading this.

Read this as an ARC from net galley-

This book was highly anticipated for me, but really threw me for a loop. As compared to ‘The Last Mrs Parrish’ which I loved, this one had a much quicker start and was just action packed all the way through. I personally found the book a little too dark and unrealistic. I felt like I just kept anticipating the next insane thing that Jackson or Amber was going to do. I did enjoy the ending, but felt like overall the back and forth of every character getting back and one another and the darkness of this book was never ending.

Liv Constantine has done it again. When I first found out she was writing the second installment for the Last Mrs. Parrish, I knew she is going to stress me out and play with my emotions the way she did with the first book. A talented writer she is, and truly top of her game. She had me going through roller coaster of emotions and kept me at the edge of my seat....I didn't want the book to end. Every page was a crazy ride, and the writing flowed so effortlessly that I engulfed this book in one sitting. I had so much fun reading this novel, it was immensely entertaining and the twists were carefully structured without going off the rails. Superb job! Thank you so very much to NetGalley, Penguin Random House and Liv Constantine for the chance to read this in advance.

I don't think I have ever despised a character as much as I did Amber, a narcissistic sociopath out for revenge, also married to a male version of herself. Oddly enough, she was also a huge part of what made this book so good, keeping me racing through the pages dying to know what happens next in her devious journey. Having loved the first novel, I had high hopes for this one, and it did not disappoint. I loved reading what happened in everyone's lives following The Last Mrs. Parrish, and just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, they did. This was full of twists, turns, and surprises all around. The ending took an insidious and, in my opinion, perfect turn. For any fans of the previous novel or even for new fans, I highly recommend this one. Do not worry about remembering anything because this successfully catches the reader up with the story with no confusion whatsoever. Four and a half stars.

Thank you, Netgalley and Random House Publishing Group, for this ARC.

I wasn’t sure what to rate this sequel. At times it was so good it deserved a 5, at times a 1 seemed generous. It was the sloooowest burn. It didn’t get interesting until 40-50% in. If I hadn’t been so captivated by the first one, I would’ve DNF’d it, At times the twists and turns were incredible, yet it was coupled with the most ridiculous moments and dialogue. Not to mention the faux southern talk was nauseating. Maybe if it were shorter, I wouldn’t regret wasting the time I spent reading it. Despite all of that, if you were a fan of the first, you’ll probably still want to read it. Just set your expectations accordingly.

Thank you NetGalley & Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine for sending this book for review consideration.

Thank you to NetGalley, Random House Publishing Group - Ballentine and Bantam for providing this book, with my honest review below.

I was excited for The Next Mrs. Parrish when I heard it existed in early January having read the first book and prequel in the series. With the opportunity to preview this, I knew many in my community were also interested and am glad I had the chance to provide feedback.

There is always a lot of build up when you enjoy the first book, and with it the risk that expectations may not be met. While this is different from The Last Mrs. Parrish I found it well done and a suitable continuation that didn’t overly rest on the plot and expected twists from the first book. I also enjoyed that this made the prequel worth reading. We once again see Amber machinate, Daphne protecting her children, and Jackson coming back to the mix. This time around we are introduced to new characters that enrich the story as well. I did wish to learn about Amber or see more character development for her (even taking her deeper into the dark side) and I did think the storyline and characters associated with the diamonds was new to this world and didn’t necessarily fit well. But all that said this is a solid addition to the series which is a hard task when a first book is so beloved. The twists aren’t as dramatic (though one came close) but I would recommend this book to those wanting to revisit the characters and not feel disappointed doing so. I would recommend reading the first book as a requirement and the prequel will help with the reading but being blind to it won’t take away from the story.

I enjoyed The Last Mrs. Parrish and was excited to learn that the sequel is here! This book does not disappoint. It's told from 3 different characters' points of view and I found myself rooting for all three women at different points in time. These ladies are strong, no holds barred feminine leads. I enjoyed the ride, as twisty as it is!

I now have the prequel (The First Shot) on my TBR list.
