The Next Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine is a gripping sequel that delves into the lives of Daphne and Amber Parrish. The author writes a story full of deception, revenge, and unexpected alliances. This is a suspenseful novel filled with shocking twists and complex characters, keeping readers on the edge of their seats until the final page. The Next Mrs. Parrish is a thrilling rollercoaster ride that challenges perceptions of loyalty and deceit, leaving readers questioning the power dynamics of privilege and manipulation.

I am a huge fan of Liv Constantine’s The Last Mrs. Parrish, and was pleasantly surprised to see there was a sequel. That said, I’d read the first book so long ago, I’d forgotten some of the plot. While the book mentions pieces of the first book’s plot in the book, those who haven’t read The Last Mrs. Parrish or read it so long ago like myself, may get lost. I liked the addition of the character Daisy Ann, and the last half of the book twisted and turned at a rapid pace. While the book kept me entertained, I think The Last Mrs. Parrish was strong enough to stand on its own, and that this sequel wasn’t necessary. I say this mostly because the character of Daphne was so frustrating at times - the plot felt far fetched.

With a surprising turn of events, I thought we were done with Amber. However, Amber and Daphne are brought back together with new twists and turns as well as a 3rd person. This book keeps you so caught up in the story waiting to know more! Enjoy this page turner filled with revenge, love and as always, so many questions!!

This book had me so irritated the whole time. I was on the edge of my seat wondering what Jackson was going to do next. The build up of these characters was great and had you hating a few of them. Would definitely recommend!

I was so excited for this sequel that I reread “The Last Mrs. Parrish” in the span of an afternoon to adequately prepare myself and set the mood!
I’m so glad I did because I had forgotten some of the allure and JUST how cunning Amber’s character was, which only continues in the sequel!
I I only knock off a star for how truly detestable Amber and Jackson are: while a testament to the writing, it just gives me bad feelings for their total lack of redemptive qualities 😂

Excellent! Loved the characters. So many surprises. ….You got me! I love books like this. Keeps you wanting to know what is going to happen.

If you liked The Last Mrs. Parrish, I think you will love this book. It is just as good as the first if not better. I wasn't quite sure where they would go with this story seeing as how the first book wrapped up well and didn't really need to be expanded on, but I'm glad I gave this one a try because the story picks up where the last left off but with a whole new storyline. Jackson is still as sick and twisted as ever, Amber is still a money hungry manipulator that will do whatever it takes to get what she wants. I really enjoyed the ending of this book and I think that each character gets exactly what they deserve. My question is, will there be a 3rd book as I think there is a possibility based on the ending.
This is an engrossing psychological thriller that will have you wondering what will happen next and if you can trust anyone.

I thought this was a really nice sequel to the first book. Amber Patterson Parrish (not her real name), who sent her husband to prison for tax cheating, flawlessly established a life in Bishops Harbor as Mrs. Parrish. However, her formerly enchanted life is coming to an end as she is in dire need of financial support, and the authorities have confiscated the majority of her beloved abusive husband's possessions. To depart the area before her husband's release from prison, she needs to locate alternative sources. Luckily, she follows Jackson's (the century's most eligible bachelor) lead to a yacht, where she discovers a hidden treasure that can assist her in establishing a fresh identity in a European nation. But Jackson wants Daphne back at Amber's expense, and chaos ensues.
This book was beyond unrealistic, but I enjoyed it tremendously. Thank you so much to @netgalley @randomhouse @livconstantine for this ARC for an honest review. Pub date June 18.

Such a good sequel! I was afraid I wouldn’t remember enough from The Last Mrs. Parrish to be emotionally invested in this story, but Liv Constantine included the perfect amount of hints to pull me right back into the world of Bishops Harbor!
It’s amazing to me that the same authors can craft the personas of Daphne, Amber, and Daisy Ann. Amber, especially, is a testament to their brilliant writing. I absolutely loathed her and yet I hung on to her every word. On top of bringing their personalities to life, the character development throughout the novel was absolutely phenomenal.
The Next Mrs. Parrish has all the psychological thriller elements I loved in the first book! As a mother, this was definitely hard to stomach at points, which shows how engaged I was in the storyline. All the twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat and the ending was perfectly executed! I enjoyed the intersections between the characters, and loved seeing Daphne get her well-deserved closure. The story had a very satisfying conclusion, with just enough of an opening there to hint a potential new stories. Highly recommend picking up this sequel!

okay, why? why was this book even written? It started off so cheesey and unbelievable, but I decided to push through because I loved the first book so much and thought it'd get better. But I'll save ya the trouble, it doesn't. You can go ahead and read the first one, the story ends with a conclusion anyways. You won't miss anything if you don't read the second book.

I'm so grateful that I received the ARC of Liv Constantine's The Next Mrs. Parrish from NetGalley because I couldn't wait another minute to find out what happened to some of my favorite love-to-hate characters.
Amber is ready to leave her controlling, abusive husband Jackson and give him right back to his first wife, Daphne. Amber and Jackson are both masters of manipulation and neither one cares who gets hurt along the way. Amber is determined to become ridiculously wealthy and Jackson is hellbent on winning Daphne and their daughters back. They hit all-time lows in this twisted sequel and Daphne once again has to fight to prove her loyalty to her girls.
My new favorite character is Daisy Ann, whose father was killed in a hunting "accident" at the hands of Amber. She married him for his money and played the role of the grieving widow after his death. Daisy Ann is a smart, successful businesswoman who will stop at nothing to prove Amber's guilt.

Liv Constantine does it again! When Jackson Parrish gets out of prison and wants to see his daughters again, his ex wife has to decide if she wants to bring her kids back into his life. His current wife, Amber, is already scheming things while her ex-husbands daughter is out for revenge.

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group for an ARC copy of The Next Mrs. Parrish.
Overall, this was a very good and quick read. I loved all the twists and turns, and rooting for the hateable characters to get what was coming to them. My biggest complaint is that it seems like so much time was spent reviewing the plot of the original book and the prequel. It really broke up the flow of the current story in a lot of places. In my opinion, if a reader picks up a sequel without reading the first books in the series, they deserve to be confused.
4.5 stars rounded down.

I was so excited when I got approved for this book. The Last Mrs. Parrish was one of my all time favorite books! I enjoyed this one. A lot of twist and turns and “omg” moments.

Thank you Random House Publishing Group, NetGalley and Liv Constantine for this ARC of The Next Mrs. Parrish. I am so grateful! The Last Mrs. Parrish was and is one of my favorite twisty domestic thrillers, so imagine my surprise and excitement when I saw that there is a sequel.
Daphne Parrish is still healing from the marriage to Jackson across the country in California. She and her daughters and mom are enjoying life on the West coast when Daphne gets talked into by the older daughter (through behavioral blackmail) to go back to the East coast for the summer so he girls can spend some time with their father as he is fresh out of the crowbar motel.
What entails is an all out unbelievable ride of wits and power and shows what a mother will do for her children.
Daphne is such a strong character and I love the addition of Daisy Ann. At first, I was so confused as to how she fits into the Parrish story but then as it’s reveled, it was a seamless character integration.
I truly loved the ending as karma is… well we know the saying.
5 stars from me, I am still giddy that I was able to read this.

It took me a few days to read this. It drew me right in, then I was bored to tears. All of a sudden craziness happens, then, bored again. Towards the ending it’s insane! Glad I stuck with it. There are a few characters that I won’t forget. That’s for sure.
Thank you to NetGalley Liv Constantine and Harper Publishing for this ARC

I was so excited to read the sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish because I absolutely loved that book. However, this one didn’t meet my expectations. The writing felt forced and the plot tried too hard to have “interesting” twists. Sometimes I think we need to quit trying so hard for sequels even if the first book was fantastic.

Back with Amber, Daphne and Jackson. The lies and deceit are endless in this book. Everyone has a vendetta and that keeps the pages turning. There were so many twists and turns but it really came together in the end.

Loved it. What an amazing follow up book. Truly enjoyed this one and loved seeing what happened to the different characters from the previous books!

Okay, this will probably be an honest, harsh review where I LOVED the first book but didn't enjoy the sequel.
First and foremost, I wonder if the sequel even needed to be written? The characters went back to their old ways and it felt so unrealistic and infuriating.
Daphne. Like come on. You know better. Every choice she made drove me insane.
Amber. I went back and forth wondering if she should get a happy ending or not. I'm glad she didn't.
Daisy Ann. I was wishy washy with her. I liked her, I didn't, then I was happy she got her justice.
I don't know. The whole thing was a mess. It felt unnecessary. The writing was just fine but the story itself was just so-so. I feel like this wasn't meant to be a "series" so writing this felt forced? I don't know. I was skimming toward the end and realized I was missing nothing from the plot, which says a lot.
Super bummed because their first Parrish book got five stars from me.
