Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of The Next Mrs Parrish to read, rate, and review.
I enjoyed reading the continuation of Daphne and Amber's exploits with Jackson. This book picks up right where the first left off, with Jackson serving his time in federal prison for tax evasion. I had a lot of thoughts about what the "next" mrs Parrish might mean, and none of them turned out to be where this book was taking me! What a thrill ride! Everyone has secrets to hide and reasons to run away, but will they escape or find themselves caught back up in Jackson's web? More of Amber's past is revealed and new characters are introduced. I loved every second of it.
I loved The Last Mrs. Parrish and this one was even better!!
Written in multiple POV, this story goes between Daphne (the last Mrs. Parrish), Amber (the new Mrs. Parrish), and Daisy Ann (Amber’s dead ex-husband’s daughter).
These three ladies, along with Jackson, trick and double cross each other throughout the entire story. I loved all the twists and turns and loved finding out more about Amber’s past.
I definitely recommend this one!
Thank you NetGalley for this ARC! This book lived up to my expectations! The Last Mrs. Parrish was really the book that turned me into such a big reader, and I was super nervous for a sequel.
The writing style was very dense but nothing felt unnecessary within the paragraphs. For such a short book, the word count must’ve been extremely high! This made it feel a bit slower paced to me even though the content was there.
The ending was exactly what I wanted and more!!! Some things are worse than death, right??
Great follow up to a great series.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Loved, loved, loved this book!
Amber, Daphne, and Jackson are back and it’s all the drama! Jackson is getting out of prison for tax fraud. Daphne moves back to Bishops Harbor so her kids can be closer to their father. Jackson is trying to prove that he’s a changed man. But is he really? Amber is conniving as ever and will do anything to stay rich and live her best socialite lifestyle.
Liv Constantine knows how to write the perfect domestic thriller! Their writing is intelligent, and well thought. This was such a gripping thriller! The ending was literary perfection!! If you loved the first book, there is no doubt you will love this one!! Highly recommended this book!

Thank you to NetGalley, Liv Constantine, and Random House Publishing Group- Ballantine for this ARC!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
*Reviewed on NetGalley, Amazon, and Goodreads.
Having been a fan of Liv Constantine's previous work, I approached The Next Mrs. Parrish with high expectations and I was not disappointed. This writing duo has once again crafted a masterful thriller that kept me on the edge from start to finish.
Thank you @netgalley @prhaudio @penguinrandomhouse @penguinbooks @livconstantine2 @atrandombooks @randomhouse for the #gifted ARC, audio ARC & finished copy of The Next Mrs. Parrish.
This is the sequel that we never knew we needed until it was announced & then I couldn’t get my hands on it fast enough.
Amber has been living it up while Jackson’s been in prison; Daphne has moved away from Bishops Harbor to keep her family safe from Jackson’s abuse & mind games; and Jackson’s been biding his time in prison anxious for his release, which has finally come.
After her daughter runs away from home desperately wanting to see her father, Daphne agrees to go back to Bishops Harbor for a short time. So, now Daphne, Amber & Jackson are all back in each other’s orbit. Let the psychological games begin & may the odds be ever in your favor!
This story gives us all the answers and ties up all the loose ends from the first book so perfectly. I don’t want to say too much, but just know that ALL of your questions (and then some) will be answered & the jaw-dropping ending will leave you completely satisfied. Just picture a chef kissing his fingers. Utter PERFECTION.
Grab this sequel ASAP! And if you haven’t read The Last Mrs. Parrish – you have no idea what you’re missing. Run & grab both!

Well, this was a bit disappointing for me. I just didn't fall into it like I did the first one.
This book took forever to get anywhere! The characters were all annoying and the overall story was not interesting. The first book was so much better.
A very good sequel. Fast paced. The twists and turns at the end were very good and I didn't expect some of them
ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.
I’m a little backlogged with my ARC’s but working diligently to get caught up. I was scared to read this book at first because I didn’t think it would live up the first one and I would be let down. I’m so glad that wasn’t the case! It was everything I hoped it would be and more! I really loved getting parts of the story from other characters points of views as well! If you like psychological thrillers, make sure you read the first book before, but definitely read this right after!
BOOK REVIEW
The Next Mrs. Parrish- by Liv Constantine
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I am a huge fan of Liv Constantine, and when I heard they were coming out with a sequel to one of my favorites, I was thrilled!! This book was incredible, but I will say that it is really challenging to read a book when you despise all of the main characters!!!! This sequel was not needed but it was so enjoyable. Full of twists and turns and I truly felt myself yelling out loud at the characters decisions. Toxic characters make for a book that you truly cannot put down. I fleeeeew through!!! Let me know if you read this one!! Thank you @netgalley for this ARC!
A breezy summer read that didn’t quite live up to the original for me. While it was an easy read to be back with the Parrishes and their web of domestic lies, the drama was comically over the top. Read it if you want something fluffy for the beach or the pool.
Not as good as the first but still a good read. I would recommend reading the first book. This one was frustrating with the protagonist returning to her abusive husband.
This book was spectacular! But the authors kept me on pins and needles for most of the book with the thought that two of the most viperous characters I’ve ever encountered might get away with their heinous plots.
The backstabbing, lying, betraying, and scheming went on chapter after chapter and I admittedly was fuming while I read, uncertain that the good character would prevail.
I should have known better because the reckoning was sweet and fitting!!
Jackson the biggest jerk ever and Amber whose mothering would make a crocodile look maternal got their just desserts.
I honestly loved this even more than the first! However I am happy I read the first shot in between the two so I already had the backstory on the characters introduced. That final twist at the end blew me away! I loved the way things came together in the end!
So many twists! Took a little bit for me to get into it but was eventually hooked & on the edge of my seat. Loved The Last Mrs. Parrish & think the authors did a great job with the sequel.
This is a long awaited sequel for me and Liv didn’t disappoint. This book centers around Daphne, Amber and Daisy Ann. I appreciate how the author wove all of their storylines together in a way that gave you separate stories but a cohesiveness that was tied up nicely at the end. The story kept me engaged the entire time and I can’t wait for Liv Constantine’s next book!
It has been so long since I read The Last Mrs. Parrish. I remembered really liking it and I have read all Liv Constantine novels since. Overall, I love this writing duo, so I was VERY excited to get an advanced ecopy of The Next Mrs. Parrish. (In addition, I won a hard copy from Goodreads Giveaways!) It was a perfect summer thriller. Amber was a great villain. Jax was too over-the-top in his mechanizations for me to really have fun with his character. Daphne's situation with Jax and how he was tricking her into coming back to him, definitely not believable. However, overall, a very fast-paced thriller with some new characters to both root for and some to root against. Anyone who was a fan of The Last Mrs. Parrish will likely enjoy this one.
Mrs. Parrish is back! Both of them. (SPOILER ALERT if you haven't yet read The Last Mrs. Parrish) At the end of the first book, Daphne and her daughters had fled to California to get away from Jackson, who was serving several years in prison for white collar crimes. Meanwhile, Amber's plan of trapping Jackson by marriage and pregnancy had worked, with the birth of baby Jax. In this next installment, the bitterness between Daphne and Amber rages on, as Jackson and Amber try to pursue revenge against the ex-wife who ruined his reputation. Daphne finds herself and her daughters thrown back into the drama of Bishop's Harbor, desperately trying to escape Jackson and Ambre once and for all. I absolutely adored The Next Mrs. Parrish and wasn't sure what to expect in a sequel, as t he book closed out with a neatly tied ending. But I'm so glad that the Constantine sisters reprised these characters for an additional tale. There is a side storyline in this book that follows a new character, Daisy Ann, that I also found interesting and fun. I HIGHLY recommend reading the first book prior to this, or else things likely won't make sense.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine | Bantam for an ARC of this title in exchange for my honest feedback.
The Next Mrs. Parrish was a good book to get lost in by the pool. I enjoyed the follow up to The First Mrs. Parrish. I was glad I had the opportunity to read this as an ARC.
This was a fun read! It may not be everyone’s cup of tea but I rather enjoyed it. Amber and Jack are still the worst but we need the drama it’s entertaining. We get a backstory on Amber and introduced to a new character in this twisted thriller.
Thank you #netgalley for an advanced copy
