I like how this started off without a big reintroduction but it did cause me pause to re pick up the story. Amber, Daphne, and Jackson are such smart and cunning individuals that this plot was tense right away. Knowing how manipulative Amber can be I loved the history and addition of Daisy Ann’s connection. This is a great sequel that has just as much deception, Mis-leading direction, and a new twist of Ambers ghost of her first husbands daughter out to get her!

Jackson wants his first wife back thinking she is cooperative and weak but really I knew she was not to be underestimated. He and Amber are so mean and make you root extra hard against them, turning her kids against her and more. However Daphne is sole minded as well, Daisy Ann is a tough gal with a fire for revenge. Half way through this picks up so fast and wow the ending! I will probably read anything this author writes.

Thanks to NetGalley and Penguin Random House for the ARC. I read The Last Mrs Parrish years ago and really enjoyed it so when I saw the sequel, I knew I had to read it too.

This book picks up not long after the previous left off. We dive right into the scheming. There are some new characters introduced into the story from Texas. It was fun trying to figure out how they are connected with the characters in Bishop Harbor and to see how deep those connections go while learning more about Amber’s history.

Every time I was excited about the future for Daphne and the girls, there was a twist that kept me stressed and desperate to find out what will happen until the very end.

Fans of the Last Mrs Parrish and of domestic thrillers should definitely pick up this book!

The Next Mrs. Parrish is considered a psychological thriller, however I consider it a story of psychological abuse. This story was a triple game of cat & mouse based on revenge, delusional ex-partners and a murder investigation. Without giving any spoilers, a lot of this book made me very uncomfortable and I believe warranted trigger warnings at the beginning of the book. Jackson & Amber were unlikable, unreliable main characters and their actions towards each other and the other characters were hard to read. Jackson was written to be an emotionally and mentally abusive partner and Amber was detached, cold and calculated. I did enjoy Daphne and Daisy Ann and liked the connection of the prequels, The First Shot. Daphne, like the first book, always put her daughters first and sometimes it was frustrating to listen to her reasoning instead of telling everyone the truth. Daisy Ann’s story line was also interesting and I am happy with how her character development and plot turned out in the end. The last 30% of the story was twisty and had multiple shocking scenes, but none of which were enough to classify this as a thriller to me. The ending was also not definitive and very vague, so we can only imagine what will happen to Amber after meeting with the red-lensed man. Although I am happy to have read this book, I don’t believe I would recommend it to anyone without them researching trigger warnings. Thank you to Random House Publishing Group and the authors for the opportunity to read and review this book!

I really enjoyed this one. I didn't know we were going to get a sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish, but I'm so glad we did because I missed Amber's scheming self 😅.

This sequel starts off with the aftermath of the last books events and spiraled into a new scheme with Amber and Jackson coming up with a plan for Jackson to "try" to get Daphne back.

Meanwhile there is a new character (new to us, old to Amber) that is hunting Amber down due to what happened in their past.

This book kept me at the edge of my seat the entire time. I highly recommend it!

"The Next Mrs. Parrish" delves into themes of envy, power, and deception, exploring the lengths to which people will go to achieve their desires. It's a thought-provoking look at the darker side of human nature, wrapped up in a thrilling narrative that is impossible to put down.

Full of suspense, audible gasps, and the overall NEED to know what’s about to happen calls for a great read. It picks up perfectly from the first book, with little tidbits of information that I had forgotten about since reading the Last Mrs Parrish. Absolutely recommend this!

Thank you so much to Random House, NetGalley and Liv Constantine for the chance to read this advanced readers copy.

Thank you @netgalley and @bantambooksuk for an advanced copy!

The Last Mrs. Parrish is one of my favorites from the OG Reece pics several years ago. I was super excited to see a sequel!

Let me tell you, this book has one delicious ending for vile Jackson and equally awful Amber!

Stick with this one. For at least the first half or so, I wasn't too sure how all of the many threads were going to come together. Jackson, Daphne, Amber, and a new character, all have a bit of their own thing going on throughout the book. Hang in there - it comes together perfectly!

Bottom line: Fun summer thriller for fans of the first book.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and the author(s) for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Liv Constantine sure can tell a story. I read this in one sitting.

I read the First Mrs. Parrish and loved to hate it. The characters were all unlikable. nothing redeeming about them at all. The Next Mrs. Parrish picks up (basically) where the last left off.

We have intrigue, double crossing and theft all rolled up into a fast paced page turner. If you need a good vacation read, pick this one up. It's a wild ride in the lives of Jackson, Daphne, Amber/Lana, Daisy Ann and crew.

This was such an anticipated read for me. I have been looking forward to it for years! But it didn’t hit like the first one. It felt like too many characters with unbelievable connections at the end. I would still recommend it to those who have read the first one, but, sadly, it was a bit of a let down. Thank you to Random House and Netgalley for this gifted copy.

I started this read on my Kindle. It took a bit to get pulled back into this world initially. I decided to wait for this on audio to see if it would be better suited to capture my engagement and I’m glad I did. It helped keep my interest to hear this story unfold a lot better.

For the story itself, I would’ve preferred that the story ended with The Last Mrs. Parrish. There were a lot of elements here that felt too convenient. (I don’t want to say specifics as I don’t want to give any spoilers.) Also, while I despised most of the characters in the original novel, in a good way, I felt my hatred for them grow in this novel. Felt like some of the decisions were just asinine and it tainted my perception of how they were originally written. Overall, I still felt satisfied with this read. It tied up a lot of loose ends as far as what happened to everyone.

Thank you #NetGalley and #RandomHousePublishingGroup for an arc of #TheNextMrsParrish in exchange for an honest review.

This writing duo has done it again, bringing us a psychological thriller that is even crazier than the first book. The Next Mrs Parrish picks up with Jackson being in jail and his second wife Amber trying to escape her life to get back at Jackson.

This book also has a third character in it Daphne, who is dead set on catching Amber as she has left a trail of schemes, murder and scamming in her wake. Overall a solid book and excited to see more from Liv Constantine!

As far as sequels go, this one was top tier. An excellent continuation, the flow and pace were perfect. I could read many more books in this world.

Daphne and Amber Parrish are thrust back into each other’s lives upon the resurgence of a long-forgotten threat, forcing a vicious game of cat and mouse where everything is on the line, in this thrilling sequel.

I loved the Last Mrs Parrish but I admit it's been awhile since I read the first book. I feel the author does a good job of reminding the reader what happened in the previous book without saying "here's a recap", the hints are sprinkled in the story in a perfect way. This book revisits Daphne, Jackson, and Amber and introduces a new character Daisy Ann. Told in multiple POVs, the story pulled me in and kept me guessing. Just when you think something is going to happen, a curve ball is thrown and new information, and deception is revealed. I highly recommend this sequel and also the first book!

I enjoyed this book so much. I loved the first one so much but this one for me the ending seemed really far fetched and messy and that I didn’t enjoy. The amount of stories put in place at the very end made for a confusing wild ending.

I enjoyed The Last Mrs. Parrish so I was really looking forward to this read and it definitely did not disappoint. Daphne and Amber are back, each with their own storylines and a new character, Daisy Ann adds tension to the plot. Jackson is as despicable as ever, as is Amber. They are truly characters that you love to hate with absolutely no redeeming characteristics. Tallulah and Bella add a dimension of teenage angst and play a pivotal role in this compelling read. Add in sweet little Jax and the stage is set for an exhilarating read full of tension, twists and turns, and an extremely satisfying conclusion. Add in extremely rare diamonds and the worst case of spousal emotional abuse with so many plots created by several characters and you know you are in for a riveting ride. Each chapter is told from one character’s POV which easily fills the reader in to the different plot lines. Liv Constantine is at her best and I will eagerly await her next book.
Many thanks to Liv Constantine, Bantam, and NetGalley for providing me with an arc of this just published thriller. Add this read to the top of your pile.

Thank you Netgalley, authors and Random House, Ballentine Publications for the ARC.
Amber Patterson has done a lot to get where she is, but at the last moment all her plans were thwarted and the husband Jackson she managed to snag from Daphne's hands lands up in jail for tax evasion and her dreams of settling rich going almost down the drain. But Jackson is about to be released and he has plans to get all the lost glory including his Ex wife and daughters by hook or crook and Amber is more than willing to help him out because of her agenda to get out rich and also teach someone a certain lesson they'll never forget. Meanwhile Daphne who swore never to go back to Jackson and live her life in her terms with true freedom and raise her girls. With a rebelling teenage daughter who's missing her father and depressed , Daphne unable to reveal the true nature of their father is stuck between rock and hard place and ends up falling deep into the trap laid for her.
But this time around there is a new player to this cat and mouse game , a nemesis of Amber from her past, Daisy Ann , who will stop at nothing to destroy her. Everyone is playing games with one another with high stakes at risk , what are they willing to do , how low can they stoop , who will win at the end?
.
Wow such a rollercoaster ride this was. Although you can read this as stand alone book , I would definitely suggest reading the first book The Last Mrs Parish first, followed by a One Shot/Novella they have which sort of is prequel to the whole story and a main antagonist. This certainly creates a bigger impact while reading this sequel domestic thriller.
Narrated from three central women characters in the story , it keeps you turning pages and engrossed until the end. The rich people dirty games, greed of power and wealth, the narcissistic traits of the antagonist that made me tensed with anticipation as to how that will harm the positive characters in the story was nerve wrecking.
If you like dramatic elements in your thrillers , this is perfect choice for a entertaining pool side read this summer.
As a reader who absolutely loved the previous installments with this plotline and characters, I loved reading a sequel that had satisfying conclusions.

One of my highly anticipated read for this year , the author duo did not disappoint.
4/5 🌟 read for me . Definitely recommend reading this and in the order I mentioned above more complete satisfaction :)

This story continues from the first book about a year later with the same characters Daphne, Amber and Jackson along with a new character Daisy Ann.
My favorite read this year so far... Good enough I couldn't put it down. A well-developed plot that made me feel angry emotions towards Jackson and Amber, they are crazy! this book was filled with devious twist and a very satisfying end!
Many thanks to Random House and NetGalley for providing the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

It took me a minute to get back into this world. I think The Next Mrs. Parrish would be best read immediately after the The Last Mrs. Parrish. These characters are just as diabolical and manipulative as they were before. All in all, a quick read for by the pool! 3.5⭐️

💭 MY THOUGHTS: First things first if you haven’t read The Last Mrs. Parish you definitely need to read that before diving into this sequel. The first book had so many shocking twists I didn’t know how this book could compete but it totally did! There were so many twists and turns I was guessing all the way up until the end. There are characters you’re rooting for and those you love to hate and the whole thing delivers a salacious read! Highly recommend.
