I loved The Next Mrs. Parrish. With a few intertwining points of view, this book reads like Desperate Housewives with rich women scheming, conning, and seeking revenge. The plot weaves together the characters well and it comes together in such a pleasing way for the reader. I highly recommend reading the prequel The Last Shot before this one, as it helped me understand the character’s motivations and true nature more quickly. You just love to hate Amber and MR. Parrish!
Daphne is struggling with her daughters missing their dad, so she decides to take them back to CT for the summer so they can spend time with their dad who is now out of jail. Amber is planning to leave Jackson and now that she has found his stolen diamonds, she is able to sell them and have the money she needs to run- until Jackson is released in early and foils her plans. The two end up coming up with a deal- Jackson will help Amber get revenge on a woman from her past and in return Amber will help frame Daphne as a negligent mom so Jackson can get custody and lure Daphne home.
I of course loved this book. It started out a little slow, but about halfway through things got crazy and I ended up staying up until 2am to finish. I loved the ending. It wrapped up clean enough to end the series, but with just enough that there could be a third book. I loved seeing Daphne use her brain and prove to be a stronger woman this time. I loved seeing Daisy's perspective and seeing how all three POVs come together. Amber is a perfect villain and I loved seeing her brain work almost as much as I loved seeing her getting taken down.
Thank you NetGalley for an arc of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Thank you Random House Publishing Group and NetGalley for the ARC of the book.
Daphne Parrish has to go back to Bishops Harbor that the kids would spend some time with their dad Jackson after he was released from prison. Daphne worked with a therapist and she thinks she can withstand all tricks that Jackson and his almost ex-wife Amber have up their sleeves.
This book was one of my most highly anticipated books of the this year. I loved the first book and I couldn’t imagine where the story could go. I recommend reading the prequel The First Shot first as it explains Amber’s life pre Bishops Harbor.
If you love thrillers, please mark your calendars for June 18th! The Next Mrs. Parrish is a must-read! I would highly recommend you read The Last Mrs. Parrish and the novella, The First Shot, before this one. You will still enjoy it, but it's so much better to already be invested in the characters and know how everything started.
The suspense and plot twists in these books are wild. I read a lot of thrillers and can usually guess where things are going, but with these, I can't! I'm always left surprised in the best way possible. It's one of those books you get invested in cover to cover! 😍

Thank you so much to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC!
I think I enjoyed this more than the first! The characters are just as great (and terrible!). It was a fast read and I flew through it. There were moments in the end where I felt they were trying to pack plot points in a short amount of time and they felt like they were thrown in out of nowhere. Overall, great read!
I love how this book takes so many different twists and turns! It definitely keeps you turning the page and not wanting to put it down. The author also did a great job of including parts of the first book into this one. I read the first one so long ago that I was afraid I wouldn’t remember much about it and would be lost reading this one. However, that wasn’t the case. I love books that keep you guessing and with this one you never knew what was coming next!
Ooo what a twisted web. Everyone in this book is selfish in one way or another and they are looking out for their own agenda. They are all narcassistic people with money to spare. There's plenty of tension in this thriller and plenty of juicy gossip to keep you turning the pages. Who is the next Mrs. Parrish? You'll have to read to find out!
Thank you for the advanced copy of this book! I will be posting my review on social media, to include Instagram, Amazon, Goodreads, and Instagram!
Rounded up to 3 stars for generosity’s sake. This was such a slow burn, there were some parts that picked up here and there but the first 80% was tedious. Once the drama started to unfold, there were some good bits but this was a dime-a-dozen psychological thriller for me. I already forget how everything unfolded. I don’t think I’ll be continuing the Parrish series (if there is another one). I’d give this author another try, but I think her work needs some fresh tropes and a new set of characters.
This one was meh for me. Read fine, good pacing, just didn't really grab my attention. Wasn't a thriller to write home about although I did enjoy the carry-over from the last book.
The Next Mrs. Parrish - Liv Constantine
⭐️⭐️⭐️
“She'd figure out a way to get herself out of this. It was what she did best.”
The former and present wife of Mr. Jackson Parrish are pushed back together in this sequel. Jackson is released from prison just as his newest wife is planning to leave him while his ex-wife is forced to reunite their kids with their abusive father.
Thank to Random House Publishing Group - Ballatine for the ARC! This was a big miss for me sadly. While the whiplash between the three women’s storylines was intriguing at times, it took me way too long to become invested in the story. I didn’t really connect with any of the three women and I was just reading to see how it ended and how the storylines came together.

The Next Mrs. Parrish is the sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish but can be read as a stand a lone. As with the first book, it's a twisty and entertaining read! There are the same characters from the first book along with a new character, Daisy Ann who is a great addition to the story. This is a fantastic read with a very satisfying ending!
Synopsis: Daphne and Amber Parrish are thrust back into each other’s lives upon the resurgence of a long-forgotten threat, forcing a vicious game of cat and mouse where everything is on the line. With shocking turns and entertaining characters, The Next Mrs. Parrish will make you rethink everything you thought you knew about duplicity and betrayal.
Many thanks to #TheNextMrsParrish #NetGalley and #RandomHousePublishingGroup for Providing me with an E-ARC of this book.
Thank you Netgalley & Bantam Publishing for an eARC ♥️

If you read and enjoyed The Last Mrs. Parrish, then I feel like you won’t be able to resist this one! Liv Constantine takes us back to Bishops Harbor and the irrefutably twisted Parrish fam - Jackson, Daphne, and Amber.
This is a fast-paced follow up to the first novel, and it seamlessly continues the story. The main addition is a new primary character - Daisy Ann - whose story line adds layers and complicates issues for some of our other main players.
Without giving much away (for those who haven’t read the first book), I feel as though you’d be most appreciative of this story if you read that before delving into this one. Personally, I wish I would have reread The Last Mrs. Parrish (it’s been a few years), just so the events of that would have been a little fresher while reading.
Thanks so much to NetGalley and Random House Publishing (Ballantine) for an advanced copy of the ebook. It was definitely highly anticipated and did not disappoint!
Don't worry if you missed the first book-which introduced the awful Amber-this will be just fine as a standalone because Constantine gives enough (but not too much for fans) backstory and because it just flows. Amber's awful husband Jackson is in prison and they're running out of cash. His ex Daphne and her girls are living in California but Tallulah, the oldest daughter, was caught running away to see him. And then there's Daisy Ann, daughter of Amber's first husband, who outsmarted her once and now wants her revenge. These three women collide. All Amber wants is money, all Daphne wants is peace, and all Daisy wants is to see Amber in prison. They each give their POV in alternating chapters, which works well. No spoilers from me but know that is is a page turner with a few good twists. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. Perfect summer entertainment.
Thank you to NetGalley and Liv Constantine for the opportunity to read an advanced copy.
This book was a rollercoaster from before it even started until the very last page. I went from thinking it was a sequel to a great standalone book that didn’t really require one to almost wishing there was even more at the end. When I read The Last Mrs. Parrish, I was obsessed, but I never expected anything after. I’m glad to have gotten more anyway. Did the ending wrap up almost too neatly? Maybe, but I’d rather that than not neatly enough. I could absolutely see the argument for a more open ending, but I think this was perfectly fine. All this to say, I’m very glad to have read this, and if you enjoyed the previous novel, this one won’t leave you wanting!
This is a sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish, and would be difficult to follow without reading them in order, Here we see Daphne bringing her daughters to see their father. The daughters have no idea how evil their father truly is, but he will soon reveal his true self. This was a twisty story that fans of psychological thrillers will enjoy!
In this sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish, Daphne and her daughters return to bishops Harbor after their escape, but Amber and Jackson have not changed. This sequel has so many twists and turns that keep you guessing until the last page, and an excellent sequel to one of my favorite physiological thrillers.
The Next Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine
Lynne and Valerie Constantine do not disappoint!!
So many things happening in this book! What a whirlwind! But not hard to keep up!
You run into some familiar faces as well as meet new ones and I loved it!
Amber, forever leaving a trail of mishaps everywhere she goes!
Jackson, as evil and manipulating as ever!
And Daphne, my favorite! Now a strong, smart, independent woman willing to do it all for her children!
The Last Mrs. Parrish will always be my favorite but this book was also good!
I will admit that it did take some chapters for me to fully get into it, but once I was hooked, I was hooked!
I wish I would have reread the first Mrs Parrish before starting this one but wow!!!! I absolutely forgot how unhinged Jackson and Amber actually are. This book follows up on what Amber and Jackson are up to and how he’s trying to get Daphne on his good side, so he can see his children. This book had me on the edge of my seat wondering how much more trouble those two could cause for others.
I received this book for free from netgalley in return for my honest opinion.
I still enjoy the first book more than the second.
