I enjoyed the return of the Parrish “family”. The cat and mouse games left me engaged and the ending was so satisfying. Thanks for the chance to read this one early!
I loved The Last Mrs. Parrish so was really thrilled to be approved to read an eARC of The Next Mrs. Parrish. This author duo is amazing. Sometimes a second book can just be okay following an incredible first book but this sequel did not disappoint. I cannot say enough how good this was with its gorgeous cover, colorful characters, excellent plot and suspenseful twisty storyline that keeps you guessing. It was hard to determine who was working with who on their own agenda so it really had a good pace. The POV’s (Daphne, Jackson and Amber) made it all the more interesting. The new character Daisy Ann also added a lot to the story. Of course my fave— a bunch of twists. I definitely recommend reading this.
🌟✨ Did you know Liv Constantine is the pen name of sisters Lynne Constantine and Valerie Constantine?? ✨🌟
Thank you @LivConstantine @RandomHouse and @NetGalley for a free e-ARC. The opinions are mine alone and not biased in any way.
Daphne Parrish is enjoying her new life in California far away from her ex-husband Jackson. However, her girls miss their father. She agrees to return to Bishops Harbor for the summer for the girls. Jackson swears that his stint in jail for tax evasion has changed him, but Daphne knows better. Meanwhile, Amber, Jackson’s current wife, is still in the picture and money-hungry as ever. There’s even a third character, Daisy Ann, that somehow fits in the mix. Who is playing who here? Will Daphne make it to the end of the summer scot-free?
If you loved The Last Mrs. Parrish, you will definitely love this sequel! The lies, manipulation, and quest for money continue in this next installment. I loved the short chapters and the multiple points of view. You can’t trust anyone here. I enjoyed all the twists and turns. Everyone gets what they deserve in the end, which I truly enjoyed. I highly recommend this series to anyone that enjoys twisty thrillers!
This book stressed me out! None of the characters are particularly likeable, except I do feel for Daphne. I really enjoyed The Last Mrs. Parrish and was excited to see a sequel. I would not recommend reading this as a standalone. Reading the first book will give you more context into this crazy drama of a mess. I appreciated the brief references to past events in order to jog my memory of the previous book. Amber is just as intense as I remember. This was a very enjoyable and suspenseful sequel filled with family drama.
Thanks to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine | Bantam for a digital ARC in exchange for my honest review.
The Next Mrs Parrish
By Liv Constantine
Spoiler Alert!!
I loved this story!! I love that Amber got what she deserved!!
I love that Jackson also got what he deserved, and I especially loved that Daphne and the girls are safe and able to be together.
This story, a sequel of The Last Mrs Parrish, is fantastic. This however is definitely not a stand alone book. You will need to read the first story to understand what is going on in this story.
Again, I really enjoyed this story and I thank NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballentine.
Thank you NetGalley & Bantam for the advanced copy of this book!
I will start by saying that I liked The Last Mrs Parrish, but didn’t love it. I did enjoy the sequel a bit better. Which for me this is surprising! Normally the sequel just isn’t as great.
I think I liked this one more because the chapters were shorter and more engaging than the first. I still do have my complaints, I despise Jackson and Amber. They are the worse characters. But of course Liv writes them so we hate them. I also wanted more Oh my goodness moments but it fell short.
Overall it was a decent book. True rating 3.5 but rounded up.
I had a hard time getting through the sequel to the Last Mrs. Parrish. It was super chaotic and felt disconnected. The characters were even more crazy than they were the first time around. If you loved the first book, you might want to skip this one.
Absolutely loved this sequel!! Loved the characters and the back story bringing the book to life! Daphne showed the love of a mother would do anything for her children. Loved that Daisy Ann came into rescue when the plot twist created a wtf moment!
Was SO excited to see there was a sequel - and it did not disappoint! As always, great writing that keeps you wanting "just one more chapter". Great twists and turns - I couldn't have predicted some of it! My frustrations with Daphne remain - how could someone be that dumb to go back - but other than that - an excellent summer read and I highly recommend!
I’m going to be honest—the first one was decent, and kept me interested. This one, though, coming out so long after I read the first, didn’t keep my attention. I was disappointed.
"The Next Mrs. Parrish" by Liv Constantine delivers a pulse-pounding sequel that thrusts readers back into the twisted lives of Daphne and Amber Parrish. The novel picks up with Amber at the pinnacle of her socialite status, only to face the imminent release of her husband, Jackson, from prison, which threatens her newfound stability. Daphne, having vowed never to return to Bishops Harbor, is drawn back when her daughter runs away, leading to a tense summer reunion. Constantine masterfully weaves a narrative of deception and revenge, where alliances are fleeting, and trust is a rare commodity. The characters, each with their own agendas, are intricately developed, adding layers to the suspenseful plot. The novel's twists are both shocking and satisfying, keeping readers on edge as the stakes escalate. "The Next Mrs. Parrish" is a gripping tale of manipulation and survival that reaffirms Liv Constantine's prowess in crafting compelling psychological thrillers.
Couldn’t wait for this sequel! 🤗
Step into the gripping world of "The Next Mrs. Parrish," where secrets lurk around every corner and trust is a scarce commodity. With its captivating narrative of revenge and deception, this thrilling sequel offers readers an immersive experience they won't soon forget. From the intricately woven plot to the complex characters, every page of "The Next Mrs. Parrish" keeps you guessing and craving more.
As alliances shift and betrayals abound, “The Next Mrs. Parrish” plunges readers into a world where nothing is as it seems and everyone has something to hide. With its shocking twists and pulse-pounding suspense, this novel is a must-read for anyone who loves a good psychological thriller.
Once I saw there was a sequel to this book, I was so excited! Daphne and Amber’s story was not over yet and I love the direction that Liv Constantine took. I had a feeling that Amber must have burned other people in the past, so I loved the introduction of Daisy Anne as a character as she tries to get justice for her father. Jackson is still as crazy as ever and my only critique is that some of the scenes between Jackson and Daphne were a bit far fetched and the conversations didn’t feel natural. I did love all the twists and am glad I was able to hear more and thinking that the cliff hanger might mean a 3rd book in the future hopefully? :)
With Jackson in jail, Amber's money is running out. She makes some drastic moves in order to stay on top even after Jackson is released from prison. Meanwhile, Daphne has moved with her girls and mother to California to get away. Things were going well until Tallulah starts acting out, claiming she misses her father. In an attempt to help her girls, Daphne moves them back to the East Coast for the summer so they can see their dad. She keeps a close eye on Jackson, who claims he is a changed man.
Thoughts 💭
This book is the sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish. After reading both of them, I'm not sure which I enjoyed more. This book has all the things I loved about the first book, including toxic characters, mind games, manipulation, and surprises. I was compelled to keep reading because I HAD to know what was going to happen next. This book is more succinct and to the point than the first, which I think made it a smoother read. It also rotated between the POVs of the three women better since every chapter was either from Amber, Daphne, or the new character, Daisy Ann. I have to admit, I was frustrated with Daphne. She got away and put herself right back into the mess. I would have handled most things differently, but then there would be a second book. This one had a lot of twists, turns, and wow moments. The plot flowed smoothly, and the end was very satisfying! This is another great book by this sister duo!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
So rarely I feel that thriller sequels do not measure up to the first. This is NOT the case with this one. Just as the first book I ate this one up in like two days!! I honestly forgot how awful some of these characters are and liv Constantine did a great job reminding me of so 😂
I won’t go into much detail because I don’t want to spoil for those who have not read “The Last Mrs Parrish”, but just know that if you’re looking for a thriller that’s an intense page turner, a wide range of characters, and some much needed justice, this is the one!
This book releases June 18th, 2024 and thank you to NetGalley for this arc!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
First of all, I LOVED “The Last Mrs. Parrish.” Secondly, this is 💯 a sequel, so warning to future readers to not read them out of order.
This story picks up on the main characters from the first two years later. Still unreliable narrators, and still they suck you into their story, or their version of the story. There’s not much more that I can say without giving it away, except if you loved the first, don’t miss the second.

I was excited to receive an advance copy of THE NEXT MRS. PARRISH by Liv Constantine. Before reading THE LAST MRS. PARRISH I mostly read mainstream fiction. I credit that book with starting my current obsession with domestic thrillers. I feared the sequel would not be able to live up to the original. I was wrong. The lives of Daphne and Amber are still as harrowing as ever especially with the addition of Daisy Ann’s storyline. The devious twists and turns had me on the edge until the mind blowing ending. Add this book to your summer reading list.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
As interesting and amazing as The Last Mrs Parrish. Jax is trying to get back with Daphne with the help of Amber and the trio is back with all the suspense and mystery. Highly recommend if you enjoyed part 1. If you haven't read part 1 it is better to read it before because a lot of back stories are mentioned and that would ruin the reading experience of Part 1.
I really enjoyed The Last Mrs. Parrish, so I was excited to read this book. Unfortunately, the sequel fell flat and probably should never have happened. This book felt entirely too long and convoluted for the sake of being twisty. I enjoy this author, but this was a miss for me. 2.5 stars overall
Ohhhhh this one is so good! Liv is fantastic , and didn’t disappoint! Wasn’t able to put it down!
Thank you, NetGalley for this ARC!
