Liv Constantine does not disappoint in this novel. Full of thrills and edge, she keeps the reader engaged until the bitter end.

This one is a little hard to believe in several places- so much crossing and double-crossing going on. I just let myself enjoy the book for what it was rather than dissecting it and expecting reality. Some of the manipulation didn't make sense to me. Ironically, I did enjoy it, even though it was pretty unrealistic- at least for the world I live in! It wasn't the sequel that I expected and didn't live up to how good The Last Mrs Parrish was.

I enjoyed the original book, but had a hard time remembering all the details since the sequel came out much later. But, the author does a good job of reminding you what you need to know. I didn't like the sequel as much - I found a lot of the characters behavior to just be too unbelievable, and honestly had a hard time liking any of the characters. It did keep me guessing as they were all playing one another the whole time.

initial thoughts: was very hesitant going into this sequel, as the first book didn’t sit right with me with the domestic violence “you get what you deserve” theme.

thankfully this book didn’t have that, and I did like seeing where the characters stories ended (a bit of justice was served!)

definitely not my favorite thriller and nothing that made it unforgettable, but did enjoy seeing how Daphne & Amber’s stories ended.

thanks to NetGalley & Bantam for the ARC!

The comeback I didn't know I needed! I loved The Last Mrs. Parrish and I didn't know how a second book after so long would hold up. I was not disappointed. The story picks up right around the time Jackson is being released from prison, of course looking to get his family back, not because he's a good person, but because he's Jackson.

Oh Amber... She finally met her match! The introduction of new characters to the storyline was great. Finding out more about Amber's background and just how terrible she really is was good too.

I enjoyed the "girl power" of this book in general.

Thank you Netgally and the authors for the ARC of this book. I will definitely be purchasing a copy to live on my shelf as I know I will want to read this one again.

I absolutely loved The Last Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine—it’s the kind of psychological thriller that pulls you in and doesn’t let go. Amber Patterson is a brilliantly cunning character, and watching her meticulously plot her way into the life of Daphne Parrish was both thrilling and unsettling. The way the story unravels with shocking twists kept me turning pages late into the night, and just when I thought I had it all figured out, the plot surprised me again. It’s the perfect blend of suspense and glamour, making it impossible to put down.

What made me love this book even more was the way Constantine builds tension between the two women. The dual perspectives of Amber and Daphne provide such a rich, layered narrative, and the contrast between their lives adds depth to the story. The dark secrets, the unexpected twists, and the powerful ending made The Last Mrs. Parrish one of my favorite thrillers. It’s the kind of book that leaves you thinking about it long after you’ve finished.

The next mrs Parrish review

I distinctly remember reading The Last Mrs. Parrish and being completely in awe of the story and the twists and turns it took. So naturally, when I heard a sequel was coming, it got added to my TBR immediately! I listened to this one on audio and it has a full cast of narration, which I always thinks adds to the storytelling!

If you read The Last Mrs. Parrish, Amber and Daphne have found their lives intertwined yet again. While Jackson is in prison, Amber enjoys living her life as a Parrish, though it brings its own issues. When Daphne returns to Bishops Harbor, she realizes leaving this time may prove to be more difficult. Once Jackson is released from prison, the lies and betrayals begin again in this juicy thriller.

Similar to the previous book, this book is full of thrills and scandals that will have you turning the page quickly. The characters are so devious and you can’t help but to love to hate them. It is a fast-paced page turner that is packed with twists, some of which I guessed while others were a complete surprise. The multiple points of view worked so well because it allowed you to slowly figure out how all of their paths crossed.

While it’s good to have some context, this book can definitely be read as a standalone because Liv Constantine did a great job of recapping a lot of what happened in the first book. If you’re looking for a good thriller to read as the cooler weather hits, be sure to pick this on up!

I early enjoy Liv Constantine novels and The Last Mrs Parrish was fantastic. Overall this sequel was interesting and held my attention but felt a little far fetched in ways. Not a terrible read by any means but not a new favorite either.

I read The Last Mrs. Parish a couple years ago and loved it, so as soon as I saw this one I just had to get my hands on it! This one didn’t quite live up to the first one, until the ending. At first I was wondering why this even needed a sequel. But it was an enjoyable, fast-paced thriller with new characters and twists. If you’re on the fence with this one, I definitely recommend reading it!

Pretty much picking right where we left off this book moves quickly. It kept my interest, even though I found the plot really frustrating and unbelievable. Overall, I don't think it was a necessary sequel but the twist was enjoyable and it did hold my interest.

The Next Mrs. Parrish was such a good book. I think I even liked it more than the original.

Jackson and Amber are still horrible people, but getting to know Daphne more was great. There were times in this book I wanted to scream "What are you doing?!" but without spoiling anything, the ending is so worth it. Truly the most satisfying ending.

The entire book is very well-written and builds the suspense to really keep you locked in. I didn't want to put this down and finished it so quickly. Even if you weren't a huge fan of The Last Mrs. Parrish, check this one out because I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

4/5 stars.

Thank you to the authors, publisher and Netgalley for the ARC!

I loved the first in this series, then the Kindle Unlimited prequel was entertaining, but just okay. Unfortunately I felt this book was much the same. A very irritating main character and the story dragged on much longer than it needed to.

LOVED! Flew through this in a few hours. Thank you so much for the ARC. Going into this I had really high expectations and it blew them out of the water. Such a unique plot. I thought I had an idea of what it would be about/like going into it, but I was so wrong which made it that much more enjoyable.

The characters were absurdly toxic and I loved that about them haha

Daisy and Ann's POVs became a bit boring at times, but Amber's was much better overall.

Liv Constantine does it again! I was obsessed with The Last Mrs. Parrish and wasn’t sure if her sequel would live up to my high expectations. But it definitely. There is a great flow from the first novel into the second, with an induction to Daisy Ann. I absolutely loved the plot of the sequel and was on the edge of my seat throughout the novel.

I highly recommend reading both the first novel, the Last Mrs. Parrish and her sequel, The Next Mrs. Parrish.

Thank you Randon House Publishing Group, Liv Constantine, and NetGalley for this eARC in exchange for my honest review.

Such a fun read!!! Everything I wanted in a sequel. The characters are so toxic you can’t not love them. Such a bingeable domestic thriller. I read this in one sitting

I have been in the biggest book slump I have ever had, so this book gets 3 stars mainly for keeping my attention and finally finishing a book for the first time in months. I really did want to know what was going to happen. My problem was that everything that happened at the end just made me roll my eyes. The ending happened too fast and wrapped up too neatly in my opinion. Yes there were a few things mentioned in the beginning that related to what happened at the end, but it was so out of left field to me that I didn't like it. I didn't love the three POVs for this book either and Daisy Ann kind of bored me. Amber as a character is horrible - Jackson too - but I did enjoy her POV even if I hated her character and how selfish she was.

Overall, I enjoyed this book up until the last 20%. So 3 stars for me.

I absolutely loved The Last Mrs. Parrish, so when the sequel was released I was more than excited. Unfortunately, this book fell flat for me. It read like a stand alone novel compared to a sequel. I felt there were plot holes and just overall was boring.

💎The Next Mrs. Parrish💎
By Liv Constantine

Pages: 336
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Book Goal 2024: 90/100

Thanks to NetGalley and Random House Publishing for this ebook ARC.

This one was a breeze! It was twisty and mysterious. It wasn’t as thrilling as some books I have read but it was enjoyable.

I really disliked Amber and Jackson but I think we are supposed to hate them both. 😂 They are just so distasteful and I couldn’t believe anything either of them said or did. How could anyone trust them… yuck.

I do feel like this was a bit forced and we could have left the story without this but I guess I get what the author was going for.

It felt like reading days of our lives or the real housewives.

I love when a second book lives up to the first for me. It's a rare occurrence, but I should have know that Liv Constantine would be able to do it. I flew through this novel, just waiting for the wild twists I knew would be coming. The anger I felt as a mother during some of the events was strong. What made it all so believable was the way the characters were written. Some of it was mind boggling, and yet I thought, yup...that makes sense with this person. I highly recommend reading this one if you liked The Last Mrs. Parrish.
