I struggled getting through the sequel. I was hoping it would be more of a page-turner. I think too much time elapsed between books and it was hard to remember some of the details from the first book.

A good follow up! The story felt mostly inventive, not too predictable. It seems like a third installment will be likely and I’ll definitely read it!

Thank you Netgalley for allowing me to get an early copy of this book! This was one of my most anticipated sequels of 2024 and it did not disappoint. The last Mrs. Parrish was the book that got me back into reading in 2020, and being able to jump right back into that world was so incredibly fun. This was an insane ride to say the least, the drama and shock literally did not stop from cover to cover and it was so fun. Do not read this book if you are expecting anything other than pure chaos and soap opera esque storylines. When we jump back into the book we start to see that the life that Amber had schemed to get might not actually end up the way she wanted, as her husband Jackson has definitely realized her motives. Then through tons of schemes, we see how daphne is dragged back into this world she thought she escaped just to protect her children.

I loved how this book played out, some things were expected but the final ending was *chefs kiss*

Now this one was not necessary after the first one, but it definitely was fun if you want a low steaks domestic thriller to get into!

I listened to this book on audio, and boy, was it hard to listen to. I remember reading the first book in this series many years ago and really liking it, but thinking that the characters were trash humans. This book continued the trend.

The majority of these characters are deplorable human beings. Amber and Jackson both deserve all the terrible things that eventually befall them in this book. Daphne wasn't nearly as awful but could've saved herself a whole slew of headaches if she had just talked to her children honestly.

The addition of Daisy Ann was helpful to move a story that I thought had a conclusive ending in the last book forward, but was a little OTT. There were almost too many "twists" and I don't think they were done well.

Was this sequel needed, I think not. Was it decent enough to read, if you can get past the terrible humans, sure.

A solid follow-up to The Last Mrs. Parrish - a little stretch of the imagination but I definitely knew what I was getting into with Daphne and Amber. It was fast-paced and some of the events were a little shocking - is Jackson a changed man or is he really behind everything that's been happening?? I zipped right through it. Thanks to #NetGalley for the opportunity to preview #TheNextMrsParrish by Liv Constantine - what a treat!

I read the first book in this series when it came out many years ago and wasn’t sure if I was going to remember the plot while reading this follow up book after so much time had passed. I am pleased that the story came right back and I feel like I was able to pick up right where I left off. That’s how you know an author is a good writer!

A great sequel for Liv Constantine! This addition wraps the events of The Next Mrs. Parrish up nicely. There is nothing left to question, which is always nice. The plotting, and societal expectations within this novel keep you on your seat with many twists and turns.

I want to thank Random House Publishing Group, Ballantine, Bantam, & Netgalley for an ARC of this book.

This sequel brings us back to the world of wealth deception and obsession which is in fact the perfect mix for an engaging read.

The Next Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine was an entertaining and thrilling continuation of the saga that began with The Last Mrs. Parrish. This sequel masterfully delves deeper into the intricate web of deception, power struggles, and complex relationships among the Parrish family.

The novel picks up with Amber Patterson Parrish, who has ascended from obscurity to a prominent socialite status. Her meticulous planning seems to have paid off, but the impending release of her husband, Jackson, from prison threatens the stability she has fought to maintain. Simultaneously, Daphne Parrish, Jackson’s ex-wife, is drawn back to Bishops Harbor to support her daughters, leading to a tense reunion with Amber. The reemergence of a long-forgotten threat forces these women into a high-stakes game of cat and mouse, where trust is scarce, and betrayal lurks at every corner.

What I found particularly compelling was the introduction of new characters, such as Daisy Ann, whose quest for vengeance adds layers of intrigue and suspense to the narrative. The shifting perspectives between Amber, Daphne, and Daisy Ann provide a multifaceted view of the unfolding drama, keeping me on edge as alliances formed and dissolved.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for a digital ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The Next Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine is the perfect follow-up to The Last Mrs. Parrish, bringing even more twists, tension, and betrayal. The suspense in this sequel is nonstop, with shocking twists that kept me on the edge of my seat. The complex relationships between the characters (ehem...Amber and Daphne) added an extra layer of intrigue, making it a gripping read. The twists at the end were just as satisfying as the first book, and I loved how everything came together.

If you enjoyed The Last Mrs. Parrish, The Next Mrs. Parrish will not disappoint. It’s a fast-paced thriller full of deceit, surprising alliances, and a powerful ending. Definitely recommend!

The author did it again. They kept the classy, sassy tone from the first book and kept it going. While I appreciate second book with a great cast of characters, I feel that it wa best as a single novel without any sequels or spin offs.

This book did fall a little flat but was still a wild ride and a fun read.

I did not love this one as much as the first book. This is definitely a type of story that should’ve stayed as A standalone. I could definitely see why people enjoyed though!

Bravo! This sequel was elevated, addicting, and kept the classy tone of both female leads of the first book. The quirkiness of the current wife gleams through the page, yet, her pride and stupidity keep you puzzled about what's next. I highly recommend this series for a new or seasoned reader.

I wanted to love this book because the first was great. Unfortunately, it fell a bit flat for me. Daphne let me down, and I really wanted more from her character. I felt that this book had her out of character. There were also a lot of moving pieces, and I am not sure any of it was needed. I didn't hate it, but perhaps my hopes were too high.

I still remember reading The Last Mrs. Parrish and having my mind blown by the plot twist. While, The Next Mrs. Parrish live up to this excitement, it was still an interesting read. Liv Constantine does a great job jerking the audience around, leaving us constantly wondering who to trust. My biggest gripe with this book was the inconsistent points of view, more specifically the decision to have two characters' perspectives written in third person and the third in first, but that might just be the English teacher in me.

If you liked the first Mrs Parrish, you won’t be disappointed with this sequel. It is consecutive to the ending of book 1 in timeline, and continues with the twists and diabolical characters we knew in the first book. I actually thought the pacing and action was better in this one since we already know the motives and scheming nature of the characters from the last Mrs Parrish. I thought the ending was great and the story held my attention throughout the novel.

Thank you Net Galley and Random House for the eGalley

Oh, I think I could have gone without a sequel.

The main character was just so insufferable, I can’t recommend this one.

I enjoyed the previous book from this series, so I was excited to hear there was a sequel. We are back revisiting the same toxic characters, plus a few new ones. I enjoyed the multiple POV writing - each chapter was through a different character's view. If you like suspense with lots of gaslighting, conspiring, and surprising twists, then you'll love this one. It's set up for the potention for a third book; I hope we don't have to wait 7 more years!
