This book was absolutely amazing and I hate that I took so long to finish it. Ultimately, it is even better then its predecessor!

Because I liked the first book, I'm going to be kind and give this one an extra star. In all honesty, when I think about this book the word "trite" pops into my mind. This is lacking in originality and a believable plot. Definitely could've skipped this one.

I loved the continuation of this story. It was just as entertaining as the first book. I loved the other point of views from Daisy Ann and Daphne. I’m slightly sad there won’t be a third book but I think the story was stopped at a good point!

This was my first time reading Liv Constantine, and I received The Next Mrs. Parrish as an ARC from NetGalley. The novel presents a gripping narrative filled with suspense and psychological intrigue. The plot is intricately woven, with multiple storylines that converge in unexpected ways, keeping the reader on edge. The Next Mrs. Parrish is a psychological thriller that continues the twisted tale of deception, power, and survival introduced in The Last Mrs. Parrish. The story revolves around the complex relationships of Jackson Parrish, his current wife Amber (whose real name is revealed to be Lana Crump), and his ex-wife Daphne. Amber, now a prominent socialite, is grappling with the aftermath of Jackson's conviction for tax evasion and his impending release from prison. As Amber schemes to secure her financial independence and Daphne returns to town to protect her daughters, both women find themselves entangled in a high-stakes game of cat and mouse. The character development is particularly strong. Amber's transformation from a cunning socialite to a desperate woman fighting for survival is compelling. Daphne's journey, marked by resilience and determination to protect her daughters, adds depth to the story. The interactions between these two women, set against the backdrop of a wealthy Connecticut community, are fraught with tension and manipulation. The twists and turns throughout the novel are well-executed, maintaining a high level of suspense. The ending is both surprising and satisfying, tying up the complex narrative threads in a way that leaves the reader contemplating the darker aspects of human nature. Overall, The Next Mrs. Parrish is a well-crafted thriller that showcases Liv Constantine's talent for creating engaging and suspenseful stories. Despite a few pacing issues, the book delivers a thrilling and thought-provoking reading experience. I look forward to exploring more of Constantine's work in the future. #netgalley #thenextmrs.parrish

This was a great follow up to the first - I was on the edge of my seat! It keeps you on your toes because, who can be trusted?! Fun times getting backstabbed. But let’s talk about that cliffhanger??? Book 3???

Loved being back with these horrible people! Not as good as the first but was definitely excited to see where this took us. Hoping for a third installment

The Last Mrs. Parrish was excellent, but this felt lacking to me. I had a harder time connecting with the characters this time around and was not as interested as I had hoped I would be.

Thank you to @netgalley and @randomhouse for a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
A Thrilling Sequel
The Next Mrs. Parrish is a captivating and suspenseful sequel that surpasses its predecessor. Liv Constantine's masterful storytelling and intricate plotting keep readers hooked from beginning to end.
The authors have outdone themselves with the character development, particularly Daphne and Jackson. Their complex relationship, filled with manipulation and deceit, is both fascinating and disturbing. The introduction of a new, equally cunning antagonist adds another layer of intrigue to the story.
The fast-paced plot, filled with unexpected twists and turns, keeps readers guessing until the very end. The authors' ability to maintain suspense and deliver a satisfying conclusion is truly impressive.
If you enjoyed The Last Mrs. Parrish, you won't be disappointed with this sequel. It's a must-read for fans of psychological thrillers and dark, twisted tales.

After escaping with her daughters to California, Daphne returns to Bishop’s Harbor and is forced to see Jackson, or risk damaging her relationship with one of her daughters, who desperately wants to see her dad. Jackson tries to convince Daphne he’s changed, but Daphne doesn’t believe it. Until Jackson is released from prison, Amber keeps up her status in Bishop Harbor’s high society and does whatever she wants. Just when Amber thinks she has it all, her past comes back to haunt her. She tries to come up with a plan, but is she the schemer, or is she the one being schemed?

Thank you to the author, publisher and net galley for the arc of this novel. I loved the first Mrs. Parrish novel but this one fell short for me.

I was so eager to read this and was not disappointed in the least! Such talent at bringing the characters to life and weaving a story.

Didn't love the first one. Don't love this one either. Feels contrived and unoriginal. I just couldn't dig my teeth into it.

The Next Mrs. Parrish, was a continuation of the series. Definitely like watching a drama filled show with all of the scheming in characters. There was so much at stake with these characters and different things going on. Definitely had me on the edge of my seat and curious throughout the whole book.
I love seeing the character development in Daphne (has the most depth). What she went through previously was horrifying and I am so glad we got to see her come back in the storyline. I was grateful for the reminders of their backstory in this book as well, it was done in a great way.
The plot had great pace and was intriguing with different points. Gasping and out loud moments while reading.
It has been a long time since I read book one and the novella, but the way that the story unfolded and was told brought me right back up to speed to the previous happenings.
This book has some darker elements to it for sure, I think added so much to the story. I love a character to hate.
Thank you to Netgalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine | Bantam for the ARC copy for my honest review.

Ooof! Firstly, read The Last Mrs. Parrish, next read this one! This is how sequels should be done - If you like a clever plot, despicable characters, entertaining and brilliant storytelling then this is the book for you. I absolutely loved it.
Huge thanks to Netgalley and publisher for my advanced reading copy 🙏

I absolutely loved the first book in the series, however, I felt like it did not need a sequel. That being said, of course I was excited to pick up The Next Mrs. Parrish. It was okay, but again, I felt like the story should have ended at the end of The Last Mrs. Parrish.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read the eARC.

A thrilling and suspenseful sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish. In this installment, old secrets resurface and the games are on. The writing is crisp and engaging and filled with twists and turns, and each character has their own hidden agenda.
Many thanks to Random House and to Netgalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

The Next Mrs. Parrish is a sequal to the best selling thriller The Last Mrs. Parrish by power-house writing duo Liv Constantine. I am sure that if you're anything like me, you enjoyed TNMP and was cheering for Daphne to get away from abusive husband Jackson and fake friend Amber. I thought that the first book in this duology wrapped everything up nicely and we'd never see the two psycho characters again...But alas I was wrong and here we are.
This book was nothing like the first. I was so disappointed and disgusted by the characters and their decisions. It's been seven months and Jackson is being released from prison following a tax evasion sentence. And of course he's coming for Daphne. The twists in this book were so over the top. The characters made some incredibly dumb choices. And the plot and writing were both subpar. I wish Liv Constantine had stopped after the first one and realized that not everything needs a revisit.
I know this got some high reviews, so I encourage readers to do their due diligence and check things out for themselves. But as for me, I was diappointed all around and was happy to be done with this one and to move on to something new.
Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest thoughts.

The author knows how to pull you in with a tangled up complete drama mess. There are so many things going on with each character that I could not put this book down. But yet each character is entangled with one another in the best, most addicting way. The whole book keeps you on your toes and it was juicy AF! I just wanted to the know the ending. I have no clue why it took me so long to read this!

Amber Parrish is still living a life of luxury, but that could come crashing down if she doesn't get some more money. She won't be able to live the lifestyle that she is accustomed to, and her husband is getting out of jail, someone she really wishes to avoid.
Daphne Parrish is living a great life with her mom and daughters, but the girls are wanting to see their father. When one daughter tries to run away, Daphne agrees to spend time back home with the girls so that they can have supervised visits with their dad.
What happens next is typical Mrs Parrish material. There are twists and turns, and when you think you know what is going to happen, well, you don't. There is a new player in this "game" as well, and you'll find another strong woman who wants to get her way, just like the others.
I really enjoyed this, and it was a fun follow-up to the original book. Definitely check it out!

This was a little slow burn at times, and I found myself yelling at Daphne 'are you stupid' he will never change. I was not expecting the ending to be what it was but that was great.
Payback is a &itch is always the saying and Jackson and Amber both got what they deserved.
