I was so surprised to see a sequel to a book I previously loved. I absolutely loved this sequel even though some of the characters continue to be as despicable as ever. It was super twisty and highly entertaining and I finished in just two days because I didn't want to put it down. Thank you so much for the ARC copy of this!

“Daphne and Amber Parrish are thrust back into each other’s lives upon the resurgence of a long-forgotten threat, forcing a vicious game of cat and mouse where everything is on the line”

Personal review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The ultimate ending to the game of cat and mouse from the Last Mrs. Parrish novel, this book was a bingeable wild ride! Amber Patterson Parrish is back, as well as Daphne and Jackson in this rich people problems novel. I loved to see the ghost from amber’s past and the continuation of this series, as I read the first book for our first ever bookclub, this would be the perfect choice for bookclub! I loved to hate pretty much all the characters and was intrigued to see the ones who made it out that I actually liked at the end! This novel is full of money hustling, seduction, evasion, societies, drama, and of course, revenge.

Synopsis: Amber Patterson Parrish has come a long way. Hard work and immaculate planning turned her from invisible wallflower to prominent socialite, though there have been bumps along the way. Less than a year after her husband Jackson’s tax-evasion scandal, Amber reigns supreme over the Bishops Harbor community. But with Jackson being released from prison, Amber’s free time—and money—is vanishing.

Meanwhile, Daphne Parrish left Bishops Harbor after her divorce from Jackson, swearing she would never go back. But when one of her daughters runs away from home, desperate to see her father, Daphne agrees to return for the summer for their daughters’ sake. Jackson swears he’s a changed man, but Daphne knows all too well that he can’t be trusted.

When a ghost from Amber’s past emerges looking for revenge, these three figures find unlikely allies in one another. But who is playing who? When all is said and done, they’ll have to fight tooth and nail for everything they have left in this zero-sum.

Thank you to Bantam Books and the authors for the advanced reader copy of this novel. It’s scheduled to come out June 18, 2024.
I loved The Last Mrs. Parrish and was so excited I was approved to read the sequel early! It has all the things I like in a book: fast pacing, short chapters, rich people behaving badly, twists and turns, and characters you love to hate.
I will admit to needing to suspend my disbelief in certain parts but I didn’t mind… overall I enjoyed it. It was a quick and entertaining read, 4 ⭐️.

If you read, “The Last Mrs. Parrish,” this is going to be another captivating thrill with the ongoing dramatic revelations that keep turning up. The same characters are at it again with revenge. Who will win?

Daphne is now living in Santa Cruz, California peacefully with her two daughters, Tallulah and Bella. Daphne’s good friend, Meredith, keeps in touch. A new person is introduced, Daisy Ann from Dallas, focusing on her late mother’s beautiful jewelry designs. I wasn’t sure how she would fit in but it’s another part that makes this story a gem. Amber and Jackson are married and just as ruthless. The gorgeous Amber seems happy enough even though her wealthy husband is almost 30 years older. But she has him now with their two-year-old son, Jax, who is turning heads with his cuteness.

Everything seems to be pretty stable until Daphne’s teenaged daughter, Tallulah, is angry at her mom as she misses seeing her dad. She blames her mom for her the divorce. Daphne's therapist has suggested taking her daughters back to the East Coast to spend time with Jackson. That’s when there was one word that was going through my mind: trouble.

It’s a quick read as the words flow smoothly with enough suspense to keep the pages moving. Just about all the characters have an obscene amount of money which can be good or bad. And like many thrillers, parts are unbelievable. But, so what. This is the perfect beach read especially for women with an expected release date of June 18, 2024. It’s exciting and one book that everyone will be wanting to get their hands on.

My thanks to Bantam and NetGalley for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this book.

If you liked “The Last Mrs. Parrish” then I think you will enjoy this book. It is just as good as the first if not better. Was it really necessary? Probably not. Did I still love it? I sure did! I wasn't quite sure where they would go with this story seeing as how the first book wrapped up pretty well as a stand alone but the story picks up where the last left off but with an added new storyline to add some twists! I read the first book right before this so I didn’t have a problem jumping into the second but apparently there is a novella called “The First Shot” that is a prequel for those who haven’t read the first in a while. Highly recommend!

Thank you to Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine and Netgalley for this arc.

The Next Mrs. Parrish is the second book in the Mrs. Parrish series by Liv Constantine. I was so excited to dive into this one, and it did not disappoint. We return to the same cast of characters from book 1, with a few new players to add to the mix and shake things up, and they absolutely delivered. From a stellar opening that grabs your attention, to a jaw-dropping conclusion, this book had me hooked through and through. While it’s more on the slow-burn thriller side, the story held my attention from start to finish. It was easy to read, full of unlikable characters and held no shortage of bait and switch twists and turns. It kept me guessing throughout, trying to piece together the multiple threads of the story and put the puzzle together. Just when I thought I had it figured out, a new twist thwarted all my theories. That ending had me anxious and also excited for what I hope will be a third book!

Thank you Netgalley and Bantam for the opportunity to read an early copy of The Next Mrs. Parrish.

4.5 stars for sure!

This book is another winner! The twists and turns and the way it wraps you in - So good! I was annoyed I had to work because I wanted to keep reading about Amber and Daphne!!

The first one is a tad better, I think because of the impact it had on me, but this one is truly just as good and I can't wait to see what these fabulous sisters have in store for the future!

Honestly, I'm being generous with my 2-star rating. This a sequel that didn't need to be written, at all. I read the previous book, The Last Mrs. Parrish and didn't really enjoy it, so take my review with a grain of salt if you did enjoy it, you just might like this one too.
This book focuses on Daphne and Amber Parrish, but adds in a new point of view, and a new protagonist, Daisy Ann Briscoe. The story just barely held my interest and the only reason I finished it was because I felt obligated due to receiving the ARC. As I said, this is an unnecessary sequel. The authors could have left the characters behind with the first book and I would have been fine. Amber and Jackson are both still terrible people, and Daphne makes incredibly dumb choices, as she did before. The writing is formulaic, and the dialogue is stilted and feels very unnatural.
For me, I borderline hated this book, so read at your own risk, especially if you didn't really enjoy the first entry in the Mrs. Parrish books.
Thank you to Random House Ballantine Books and NetGalley for the electronic ARC of this novel for review.

If you read the first one, you will need to read this one to see how it continues - & how crazy the story continues. Love seeing some of the good characters back & having additional players in these games. So many times I gasped at how mad I was at the greed of some of these characters. The story just takes you right back into the first story & will get you all riled up once again.

The story starts where it left off. Amber is living the life of her dreams where as Daphne has started her new life. Little does Daphne know that she is going to get dragged back down by her ex Jackson once again. In this crazy sequel, we are introduced to new characters that help the story develop into a deceiving, rebellious, and get even kind of life. Will Daphne come out on top? Will Ambers closet of skeletons get revealed? You will have to pick up this book to find out!

The Next Mrs. Parrish reunites readers with Daphne and Amber Parrish as they navigate Jackson's release from prison. Amber has enjoyed her time being Queen Bee in Bishops Harbor, but with Jackson returning, things are about to change. Daphne has started a new life across the country with her daughters, but she finds herself spending the summer back in Bishops Harbor monitoring Jackson's time with their children. Jackson claims that he's reformed and that he wants to get their family back together. With the introduction of a new character, new information about Amber's past, and twists and turns, this sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish was a delight. The Constantine Sisters did a superb job of making this book just as entertaining and surprising as their first. Fans will not be disappointed! Special thanks to NetGalley and Bantam Publishing for the chance to be an advanced reader on this rollercoaster of a book.

Fun sequel to the first novel, I was surprised to hear there was a follow-up but I enjoyed it overall! I enjoyed the setting as much as I did the first one.

Jackson Parrish is about to be released from prison. His oldest daughter, Tallulah, has really been missing him, which prompted Daphne (the first Mrs. Parrish) to visit Bishops Harbor. Jackson has a plan to win Daphne back by proving he is a changed man.

Amber wants nothing more than to leave and be rich. She forms a plan to help Jackson win his family back so that she can leave. We also have a new character in the mix - Daisy Ann, daughter of Amber’s first husband.

So many fun twists and turns along the way that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I loved this book just as much as the first one! I also highly recommend reading The First Shot novella prior to reading this book, which offers some really good background on Amber. The book wraps up very well, I highly recommend picking up a copy. Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group for an ARC!

I just finished this and I loved it so much! Thank you NETgalley for my arc of this book.

I read the last Mrs Parrish years ago when it came out, and I really enjoyed it. I understand people had issues with it, but to me it was a great thriller with characters to hate and cheer for.

This book is much better than the first. Daphne is still a character that you root for, as is daisy ann, while Jackson and Amber are truly awful. I loved the characters in this book, how they interacted with each other, and how well this story played out. I will definitely recommend this book as a great summer read.

A sequel done right! In The Last Mrs. Parrish, 2 out of 3 of the main characters were pretty unlikable. I liked the book just fine, but I felt like the dialogue and plot kind of dragged. I was surprised to see a sequel, but even more surprised that I really enjoyed it a lot more than the first.

In The Next Mrs. Parrish we are introduced to a new character, Daisy Ann. I immediately was rooting for her. The pace of this book felt right. I did not feel like there was a bunch of information that wasn’t important and was just there to fill the page. Liv Constantine did a good job of summarizing what happened previously, and incorporating it into this new book without it being repetitive and boring.

The Next Mrs. Parrish picks up where The Last Mrs. Parrish stopped. Jackson is still in prison, and Amber is still scheming. Daphne is in California living her new life with the girls. Without giving anything away, Daisy Ann is introduced as a character with a vendetta against Amber. Jackson gets out of prison, Daphne brings the girls back home to visit their father, and all of the scheming between the characters is front and center.

This book was well written, and I enjoyed the ending. I wasn’t left with any unanswered questions. It was a satisfying closure. After finishing this book, I discovered there is a prequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish, The First Shot. I will definitely be reading it. Thanks to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group for an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

I think I actually enjoy this novel more than The Last Mrs. Parrish! I was instantly drawn in-- I loved Daisy Ann's character. I did not see some of the twists that were introduced in the novel; however, I love how everything came together at the end. The novel's writing was engaging, the characters were interesting, and there were unpredictable parts! Overall, great book!!
