This is a FANTASTIC follow up to The Last Mrs. Parrish. This book is extremely fast paced and it has a lot of moving parts, but I feel it is still easy to follow. There are plenty of unpredictable twists without being overly dramatic.

I was instantly hooked with The First Mrs Parrish and couldn’t wait to read the sequel. The story was just as gripping with the same group of characters and some fresh perspectives thrown in as well! If you haven’t read the first book, do your self a favor and go get it now!
Daphne has grown since we last met her and is far better at deflecting Jackson’s mind games, or has she?!? When her oldest daughter starts to give her trouble about missing her father, Daphne decides that a summer back in Bishops Harbor would do the girls some good and then they can get back to their lives. Little does she know Jackson hasn’t changed at all, and Amber is just as manipulative as before. There is lots of plotting and mind games throughout this one, can you ever really be sure who you can trust?

Absolutely loveddd this one! I was obsessed with the first one and this did not disappoint. Read it now!

Took me a while to get to this one because I had to go back and read the first book in this series before I started this one! Loved that Constantine decided to continue with this story as a series, which makes sense after reading the first. The first came with its own flaws (dragged out storyline, awful characters, etc.), as did this one. BUT I feel like I enjoyed this 2nd book more?! While the characters are still ones that are detestable in this book, at least I was more invested in the actual storyline. This book is a SMART thriller, which I wholly appreciated and enjoyed! And I loooove that this one didn’t seem as long or as dragged out, so I actually wanted to continue picking it up. And lastly, LOVED the ending - so satisfying!!
Thank you to Ballantine (Bantam) & NetGalley for providing me a copy of the e-book in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed the first book, The Last Mrs. Parrish, and was excited for this sequel. However, I was disappointed with this one. I felt that it “undid” the progress of the characters in the first book. For example, Daphne was made to seem weak and naive in this one and I found her unlikable. I just couldn’t get into this one and was bored.
I appreciate the eARC from #NetGalley in exchange for honest feedback. -2.5 stars

I have to say that I was really surprised how much more I enjoy "The Next Mrs. Parrish" than the first book in this series. What a great development of the story!
One aspect that particularly stood out to me was the absence of repetitive and drawn-out sections in this sequel. The narrative maintains a sharp focus, keeping the pacing riveting and the twists unpredictable and clever. With each turn of the page, I found myself eagerly anticipating the next development, anxiously hoping that justice would prevail over the cunning adversaries.
From the moment I delved into the story of Amber Patterson Parrish and her quest for a new life after her husband's imprisonment, I was hooked. The plot is intricately woven with twists and turns that kept me guessing until the very end. What I appreciated most was the absence of repetitive or dragged-out sections in this sequel. The pacing is spot-on, propelling the story forward with riveting momentum.
As I followed Amber's journey, I found myself crossing my fingers and holding my breath, hoping against hope that justice would prevail in the face of her adversaries. The anticipation reached a fever pitch, leaving me on the edge of my seat and reaching for another bowl of popcorn (or three) to calm my nerves.
And oh, the ending! It was so deliciously satisfying that it left me laughing with sheer delight. It's rare to come across a conclusion that ties up loose ends so neatly while still leaving room for a lingering sense of anticipation.
However, if I were to nitpick, the extensive focus on business part of the plot didn't hold my interest as much as other elements of the narrative.
"The Next Mrs. Parrish" is a masterfully crafted thriller that delivers on all fronts. It's smart, well-developed, and expertly executed, making it a must-read for fans of the genre. While it's advisable to read the first book in the series for full context, this sequel stands strong on its own, with enough subtle reminders to refresh your memory.

A great followup to the Last Mrs. Parrish, this picks up with the same characters and some newbies. Suspenseful, hard to put down.

Thank you #partner Penguin Random House audio for this free audiobook in exchange for my honest review!! Thank you also NetGalley and Random House for providing me with the ARC! I finally got around to reading this after loving Book 1, The Last Mrs. Parrish!
I am team Daisy Ann all the way!! She had me worried there for a minute, but I love how her story unfolded.
Ok...so this story felt like a prolonged epilogue, but I get why it was told. We needed to close some chapters for the main characters and let justice win! I found myself speeding to get to the end! It was the ending we all needed!

Excellent mystery. I loved the premise and the surprises throughout. Great character building and plot development.

The Next Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine was a solid follow-up, and I really enjoyed it! While it didn’t quite reach the level of the first book in terms of impact, it still offered an entertaining and engaging story. The pacing was brisk, making it a quick and easy read that kept me hooked throughout. The twists, though perhaps not as surprising as in the first novel, were well-executed and added to the suspense. Overall, it was an enjoyable psychological thriller that, while not as gripping as the debut, still delivered a satisfying and fun reading experience.

Liv Constantine is back with the vindictive Amber now married to Mr Parrish! Jackson's getting out of prison but he only wants Daphne! Amber doesn't really care and is happy to help scheme to get Daphne and the girls back with Jackson. I read the short story about Amber killing Daisy's dad too so that helped fill in some of the gaps. This book was just ok. The first book is definitely better but there was still a few surprises

Finishing up my last few #summerbookcovers and #reads of the summer season and I must say…. While sequels are rarely as good as their originals, I think this one defies the odds and is even better than The Last Mrs. Parrish. This is pure guilty pleasure gold - I could not put it down. SO MUCH drama and revenge. And a bonus new character, Daisy Ann, who I wasn’t sure about at first but who completely sold me.

Mix in the old crew: Jackson, Daphne, the notorious Amber, and their kids, a slew of diamonds, a fraudulent corporate takeover, and more, and you’ve got HBO level drama. So, so fun and good!! And some much needed karma and retribution in the end 🙏

What a treat it was to visit Daphne and Jackson and see where life had taken them. Amber is perfect for Jackson, and I loved her addition to their story. Bishops Harbor sets the stage for what is likely the final battle between good and evil. The ending was oh so satisfying. As this is a sequel, I encourage you to read book one first.

The Next Mrs. Paris is intelligently written, well-balanced, and a twisty domestic thriller with powerful mind games that shock you at each progress.
The pacing is riveting and intriguing. The twists are unpredictable and smart. And the ending is one you will enjoy. I definitely recommend.

💎 I loved The Last Mrs. Parrish and will die on the hill that The Housemaid is a cheap ripoff so I was SUPER excited to see this sequel. However, it felt very ‘more of the same’ and just wasn’t… thrilling (even though I’m posting it on #thrillerthursday).
💎 We’ve got the same bad actors trying to con and steal their way through life. And mostly the same victims still being forced along for the ride. There are some new elements at play, but not enough to make this feel like a whole new story.
💎 For readers who just REALLY loved this first book and wanted more shenanigans from these characters, maybe this is exactly what you want. For me, it wasn’t good enough. If felt like they saw all those Housemaid sequels and wanted to get a piece of the pie which— fair enough. 🤷🏼♀️ I don’t know, it just left me feeling disappointed. Did you read this? What did you think?

To be perfectly honest, since none of the characters in The Last Mrs. Parrish (the first book in this duology) were redeemable and the book left us as readers on a note that was perfectly acceptable for what the story was.... why did we need a second installment?
Liv Constantine definitely knows how to write a domestic thriller, there is no question about that whatsoever. While there were some themes in the first book that I didn't particularly *love* I enjoyed it enough that I was excited to receive the arc for this one (even if I am now months behind on actually reviewing said arcs). I just... can't freaking stand these characters. I thought maybe seeing things a second time around or from some different perspectives might change that but damn...
I will say I did enjoy Daphne and Daisy Ann who were probably the characters that bugged me the least previously, so I was happy to see them back out of everyone. As with the first book, this installment keeps a rigorous pace, great twists that keep you on your toes and nail-biting suspense that really leaves you questioning who did what and what happened up until the last moment!

The Last Mrs. Parish is one of my favorite books so I was super excited for another book to come out! Amy is confident, Daphne is trying to escape her past and Daisy Ann is on a mission to seek justice for her father’s death. They did such a good job intertwining all three of their stories and the ending was amazing! It could be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the first book first for more details and back story.

Liv Constantine has done it again with The Next Mrs. Parrish! This thrilling sequel was everything I hoped for and more. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time, and I couldn’t put it down. The plot was filled with so many twists and turns that I was left breathless by the end.
Without giving too much away, I have to say that I was beyond satisfied with how things turned out. Jackson and Amber absolutely got what they deserved! Their manipulations, lies, and selfishness finally caught up to them, and it was so gratifying to watch it all unravel. Daphne and her girls—who’ve been through so much—finally found the peace and happiness they deserved.
The cat-and-mouse game between the characters kept me hooked, and the tension was palpable throughout. If you’re a fan of psychological thrillers with strong, complex female characters, you cannot miss this one. This book is a masterclass in betrayal, power plays, and sweet, sweet revenge!

Another best seller by this author. So excited to read the sequel book.. I hope there is another in the series. Interesting read providing more to the Mrs Parrish story line. Amber and Jackson remain unlikeabke characters but the book revealed more of Ambers story and left the readers hanging at the end

4.5 stars. It’s not too often that the second book in a duology is better than the first, but this was delightfully entertaining in the most devious sense of the word. Three strong female characters who will stop at nothing to right their wrongs and protect the things or people they cherish the most take center stage in this bingeable book. Along with cringe-worthy characters and the despicable Mr. Parrish, this book was one that I could most definitely read again.
