Another absolute winner! I love how the chapters of the 3 main heroines (okay, 2 and a witch with a b) interwove for a thrilling tale of people finally getting what's coming to them. An amazing 3 book arc and I'm still left wanting more...

Amber got what she wanted, she got Jackson Parrish. She is now his wife and mother of his child but you could say things are less than ideal. The last Mrs. Parrish, Daphne, made sure to teach both Amber and Jackson a lesson on her way out. Now, as Jackson serves his prison sentence and Amber burns through their money, things aren’t all Amber dreamed. True to her roots, she’s only concerned about herself and where to go from here.
Daphne on the other hand has moved to California with the girls and for a while things were going well, the girls seem to be adjusting well but that’s no longer the case. The girls miss their father and Daphne hasn’t had the heart to tell them the truth. A series of events brings the three back to Connecticut. Unfortunately, Daphne learns quickly that Jackson Parrish will always be one step ahead of her.

A lot of times we get excited about sequels to books or movies only to be disappointed when it comes to life. That is most definitely not the case here. I have loved The Last Mrs. Parrish since it came out and I was thrilled to hear the story would continue. The Next Mrs. Parrish was more than I had hoped. The story line was great and didn’t take away any character development from the first book. The writing kept me engaged with characters and emotionally invested in what would happen next.

The best part is that the big picture from the entire series was never far from reach, we may not have known it at the time but the attention to detail was so satisfying.

The Next Mrs. Parrish will be available June 18,2024

When I say I screamed when I got the email I was selected for an ARC of the Next Mrs. Parrish, I mean I screamed and did a little happy dance. Thank you so much Liv Constantine, Net Galley and Random House for the opportunity to read and review!

Give me all the summer beach read thrillers. This one was packed full of suspenseful drama, and major plot twists. I absolutely loved the characters, and the comebacks were fantastic. It’s the second book, and Liv Constantine did an incredible job keeping the reader on a ride with this story. Add this to your TBR for June 17!

Amber came from nothing and she is not going to stop getting what she wants for anyone or anything. She’s felt as though she’s gone from invisible to a socialite with money, and is ready to make her mark. Even though her husband Jackson is in prison for tax evasion, she’s got a plan put together. Whereas Daphne got tangled into a terrible marriage with Jackson years before, took the girls, and escaped to California. Sadly her daughter wants to see her dad, and so they end up going back. This time though, Daphne is much stronger and ready to fight back. Jackson unfortunately has every trick up his sleeve to get rid of Amber, and trick Daphne into coming back and being the perfect wife again, under his circumstances. Daisy comes into play though, and knows that Amber had something to do with her fathers death. She’s fought once before and she’s not giving up this time. She wants Amber to be punished for a crime she’s run from. But diamonds hidden on a boat are found….attempts at escaping are failed….lies are told….and so many plot twists! Get ready for a wild ride with this one! Because no one wants to lose, but someone has to with this suspenseful filled dramatic thriller. #netgalley #netgalleyreads #livconstantine #thenextmrsparrish #randomhousepublishing

The Next Mrs. Parrish is written by the Constantine sisters. I have not read the first in the series, however there was plenty of backstory to read on its own. Amber Parrish is currently married to Jackson, about to be released from prison for tax evasion. She has achieved socialite status but wants much more and will do anything to get it. Daphne, the first wife, reluctantly moves her daughters back from California because they miss their father. Jackson insists he has changed. Still, he and Amber are master con artists, and Jackson was abusive to Daphne. Enter Daisy Ann, from Texas, also out for justice but possibly the smartest of the three, and the most likable character. Amber and Jackson are each conniving and contemptible. Still this a cleverly written and layered story, with exhilarating and gripping twists. It works very well, and what an ending! With thanks to Netgalley and Random House Publishing Group- Ballantine for this ARC. My opinions are my own.

I have been a fan of all of Liv Constantine's books, but this one fell short for me. I was so excited when I first learned The Next Mrs Parrish was coming out, but I had a hard time getting through this book. This time the dislike for certain characters was so over the top for me, and Daphne who I rooted for in the first book, was portrayed as weak, feeble, and indecisive, I contemplated not finishing the book a few times. I did enjoy the twist at the end of the book.

I was so excited to see that there would be a sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish (even more excited to be approved for an ARC!) and The Next Mrs. Parrish did not disappoint.
Amber is back and I forgot just how evil she can be. She is married to the wealthy Jackson Parrish who she previously sunk her claws into by becoming pregnant with their son Jax. Jackson is in prison for tax fraud and Amber has concocted a plan to leave him, taking all of his money.
The original Mrs. Parrish (Daphne) is also back. She had previously removed her daughters from seeing Jackson after the turmoil he had put her through. This is the one part of the book that I was a little unsure of, that she would have willingly moved back Connecticut to let them see him in an attempt to make her daughter happy.
Daisy Anne also joins the mix of characters, having an unpleasant history with Amber and I really enjoyed her element to the story.
I thought the author did a fantastic job of weaving the stories together with many unexpected twists and turns. Sometimes sequels leave you with a lacking feeling, but this one wrapped things up and just had me wondering if there was a chance for another appearance of Amber in the future.
If you enjoyed The Last Mrs. Parrish, you definitely want to put The Next Mrs. Parrish on your TBR!

This book was as good as the first, maybe even better! There were some twists I didn’t expect and the revenge in this one was satisfying. Definitely a must read if you read the first book.

Prepare yourself for a wild ride! If you’ve enjoyed the saga of Amber and Daphne, you need to read the conclusion. Once again, the writing duo known as Liv Constantine has crafted a wicked tale, full of money, betrayal, and revenge. While it’s not fine literature, I dare you to stop reading before you know the resolution of this twisted tale.

I loved The Last Mrs. Parrish, and I enjoyed this one too, but it took some time. I felt the book was a bit slow to get going, but once it picked up, I flew through the book. Hating Jackson and Amber continued to be easy as I read the book, and I truly sympathized with Daphne. It's definitely worth reading this book, but I did set my expectations that the book would be as good as the first, and I was a little let down.

I was so so thrilled to see a sequel to one of my favorite books from last year, The Last Mrs. Parish. This book surpassed any expectations I might have had, with excellent narrators, writing, and twists and turns! If you enjoyed the first book, or if you want to begin with this one, I highly recommend.

This was so good, I loved it .
The pacing is the perfect “just one more chapter” type pacing that keeps you reading for multiple rather than just one more. Every perspective shift ended on a cliffhanger, which made this very easy to binge read, speaking from experience as I did read this cover to cover.
The characters are so well rounded. You either love them or you hate them. When something would happen it would be sort of an “oh well of course this happened. Because it’s so and so.”
You will be on the edge of your seat reading this one, rooting for these characters, and will be extremely satisfied when you finish this and put it down.
Highly recommend you pick this one up!

Reviewed on goodreads but oh my god this book was amazing!!!!!!!!!!! The way she seamlessly introduced a whole new set of characters, the multiple cat and mouse games and twists and turns, and that ending no one will EVER see coming. I read through the night. Bravo Liv! And thank you NetGalley!

Listen! I am always ready to read a Liv Constantine book, and this one doesn't disappoint! I have read all of the other Mrs. Parrish books before this one, and this newest book is just as good, if not better.

Daphne has to navigate reuniting her daughters with er ex-husband Jackson after he returns from jail for tax evasion. Her children don't know how cruel he was to her, and the abuse that she suffered at his hand when they were married.

Jackson's new wife, Amber is trying to break free from him when she cashes in on a discovery of his that she helped herself to, only she lost her social status when her ex-husband's daughter Daisy Ann discovers she has remarried another rich man.

Sounds like I gave away a lot, but this is really only the tip of the iceberg!!

Thank you to #netgalley for this #arc

First of all, I can't believe I got my hands on this ARC since this is such an anticipated release. Thank you so much to NetGalley and Random House Publishing for the opportunity to read this early.

I love a great revenge story and The Next Mrs. Parrish did not disappoint. I loved being able to follow up with these characters in this sequel and overall felt that this book was a great follow up from The Last Mrs. Parrish. The twists and turns in this book gave me the best sort of whiplash I could have asked for. I don't know how Liv Constantine can't weave such an intricate web and make it work the way she does! These characters are the definition of people you just love to hate. This sequel wrapped me up and I had to devour it whole until I could resume my daily life.

I rate this book 4 stars as I feel like there were just a couple of times in the book where it dragged on just a tiny bit. I would not let that scare you from reading this though because overall it was a great domestic thriller. I recommend you pick this up when it is released!

Sit back and enjoy the ride. Told by three women and the man that wronged two of them. Daphne plotting to get free of Jackson Daisy Ann trying to get back at Amber. Amber trying to get back at Daisy Ann and an equally devious, abusive Jackson. Who is gullible, who will succeed? Easy to read, a bit campy but lots of fun

I think my students will enjoy this one. A twisty entertaining tale of revenge and justice. This will open up discussions on what is the difference and how much you would do to accomplish either.

Daphne, Amber, and Jackson are back…. And given how much I disliked two of those three characters in The First Mrs. Parrish, I wasn’t sure how I would feel about this one. However, while a sequel didn’t feel all together necessary, it ended up being an entertaining read!

This book picks up shortly after the first, with Jackson finishing his stint in prison for tax evasion while Daphne does her best to heal from years of abuse and Amber remorselessly lives her best life. When Daphne‘s oldest daughter runs away to reunite with Jackson, and their lives become intertwined once more. This kicks off endless schemes, betrayals, twists, and turns. We also get a fantastic new character in Daisy Ann, a strong and successful Texan woman, seeking revenge.

There’s a lot to like about this book, including a quick pace and a satisfying ending. In some places, the plot feels forced, relying on well-timed coincidences to wrap up loose ends, but if you can let that go and just be along for the ride, I think you’ll enjoy it.

Thank you so much to NetGalley, the authors, and the publisher for allowing me to read this ARC!

I thought that this book was really good! I wish I would have read the first book in the series to refresh my memory on characters and the overall plot, but enough was shared that I found myself immersed in their world again. I thought that the book was well paced, and the character storylines were so interesting. I was cheering so hard for Daphne and Daisy Ann. Looking forward to the third!! What a cliffhanger. Thanks to Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine and NetGalley for the ARC!
