WOW WOW WOW!!! This one is the best yet!! Non-stop action, twists, and laughs! The last four chapters had my jaw on the floor! I never knew what was coming and it was such a blast! I can’t wait for the next book!!!

I was so excited to get this 3rd installment and Finlay Donovan did not disappoint. Still trying to outrun her accidental mob ties, Finlay and crew end up in Atlantic City with kids, ex-husband and mom in tow, and end up with more dead bodies, dead ends, and loose ends than she knows what to do with and trying to wrap them up before the cops find what's going on -especially when her sister and boyfriend get called in.
I already can't wait for more!

Did I listen to the audio and LOVE it? Yes. Did I buy the hardback copy? Yes. The Finley Donovan series will forever live in my heart and be one of my top favorites. This one dare I say other than the first one is the best. All of the escapades were perfect and hilarious. What a great book and I highly recommend it.

I thought this book was cute and I really enjoyed the road trip aspect to it. This was my first Finlay Donovan book and I will say I think it is odd that no where does it say you should read the first three books leading to this one. Like so many other reviews have said you should because of the over arching plot, and while I didn't feel super lost by picking up clearly in the middle I think this could of been enjoyed more had I read the previous books in the series. Because of that I really don't have much else that I can add.

Well, I know I'm going to be in the minority here, but I'm starting to get really frustrated with this series. I really enjoyed the first two books, but I'm less and less thrilled as we go on. Elle Cosimano really landed this one with a strong ending...however the process of getting there had me rolling my eyes so much.
The books have gotten increasingly unbelievable which I get is part of the charm of the first two, but especially in this one, the process of moving the bodies really just felt like such a massive suspension of belief was required, it really annoyed me.
Not to mention how possessive Nick is. Dude really needs to stop, and everyone around Finlay needs to stop acting like his behavior is cute. And why, why, WHY does it take Finlay until nearly the end of the book to FINALLY put Steven in his place? Like really?! The man is so insufferable.
Audiobook narration was fantastic as always!

Thank you Netgalley & Macmillan Audio for an ALC of Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice! Another 5-star book in the Finlay Donovan series. It's so rare that a series gets better with time, but Cosimano manages to defy all odds with each new novel following Finlay's life! As always, this one is filled with laugh out loud moments, an insanely talented narrator that brings the story to life, some mystery and a bit of romance to keep things sizzling.
Finlay and her nanny/bestie Vero continue to find themselves in trouble - This time during a girls' weekend away (which is actually cover for saving their friend Javi, dealing with a loan shark Vero owes thousands to, and hunting down a stolen car). Things get complicated when Finlay's mom decides to tag along - Not only that, but her ex-husband Steven, too. Oh, and Finlay's 2 kids are there. Of course hottie boyfriend (and cop) Nick has to make an appearance too, because why not?
I can't wait to see what Cosimano comes up with next - It will be a sad, sad day when this series comes to a close.

Finlay and Vero take Atlantic City!… with mom, ex husband, children, and current fling all in tow! A wild ride from start to finish that did not disappoint! Love these characters and their continued journey through the crime world.

The new Finlay Donovan book picks up where the first book left off, thrusting readers back into Finlay's chaotic world. While the premise of the story is intriguing, the execution feels somewhat lackluster. The plot twists are predictable, and the pacing is uneven, making it difficult to fully engage with the narrative.
Although Finlay is a likable enough protagonist, she lacks depth, and her character development feels stagnant. The supporting cast also falls short, failing to leave a lasting impression.
One redeeming aspect of the novel is Cosimano's writing style, which is light and easy to follow, but overall, this particular installment falls short of leaving a lasting impact.

Summary:
Thank you NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for a copy of this advanced audiobook!
Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice, and does she ever, in this hilarious, jam-packed, action filled novel.
Finlay and Vero are back at it again, this time in Atlantic City at an attempt for a much-needed girls’ weekend away. However, their relaxing weekend quickly turns into a disaster, when yet another dead body falls into their laps … and with a whole lot of motive on their part. To make matters worse, Javi (and the Aston Martin) are still missing, four members of the police department show up with a lot of questions, and somehow, Finlay’s children, mother AND ex-husband have all decided to tag along. 🥴
Thoughts:
Ok, I think aside from book # 1 of this series - this one is my favourite! Yes, these books are a bit unrealistic and far-fetched, but that is what makes them so great and so much fun to read! The characters are hilarious and so lovable, you can’t help but laugh out loud. I love following along on Finlay and Vero’s shenanigans. The banter is amazing, and there is truly never a dull moment. 👏🏼😁

This series is fun, fast-paced, and more than a little absurd, but I think that's exactly why readers love it so much.
In this fourth book of the series, I appreciated the change of location for our crew of characters. The seedy vibes of Atlantic City makes all the shenanigans that Finlay and Vero find themselves a little more easier to swallow, although the plot in this one comes close to jumping the shark one too many times.
There is some good development of relationships and conflicts in this story, some storylines are wrapped up nicely and others are started that will hopefully be further explored in future books.
Also, this series is a MUST on audio! Angela Dawe IS Finlay... and Vero and Nick and Javi and all the characters that she voices so well.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Genre: Comedic Mystery Romance
Age Level: Adult
Content: some language, fade-to-black

Overall a fun read - filled with mobsters, murder, loan sharks, and dysfunctional family road trips. Much like the others in the series, you follow Finlay and Vero (with the family tagging along this time) on a series of misadventures, close calls, and chaos in Atlantic City. It was a good escape, and like the other audiobooks I’ve listened to in the series, I enjoyed the narration - they kept you engaged and made it easy to get sucked into Finlay’s chaos as she jumped from one problem to the next. The series is fun (and ridiculous), but as the books continue, the situations Finlay finds herself in do seem to grow in their outlandishness or maybe just become more predictable because you know what to expect - overall, the book is still fun, but maybe not as fresh as the first couple.
Thanks to NetGalley for access to the audiobook.

As always, Elle Cosimano wrote a hilarious mystery book that keeps you guessing what’s going to happen next. I cannot wait to see what Finlay and Vero get into next.
I absolutely love listening to this series on audiobook. The narrator does such a good job voicing each character.

This book was beyond entertaining and such a fun listen. The narrator is fantastic and so easy to listen to. 5 stars! Can't wait for the next book in the series.

I love this entire series. This is book #4 in the series, but it can definitely be read as a standalone. Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice is funny, fast paced, and entertaining. I love Finlay & Vero’s friendship, they keep me laughing. It’s filled with action and keeps you engaged the entire time. I definitely recommend this book to anyone that likes reading for entertainment with crime solving/action.

With every installment, I'm still hoping the author will recapture the magic and humor of the first book--but again I was disappointed. I think one of the problems (for me) with this series is that each installment is part of a continuing story, and each book picks up pretty much the same day that the last story ended. This format would work well if I was reading the books back to back but when there is a year or two lag between, I find myself lost in what has happened and what is happening and who all of the characters are. I can remember Finlay, Vero, Nick and Steven, but everyone else is kind of a blur and there are a LOT of characters. For example, in this installment Fin and Vero spent the majority of this book trying to rescue Javi but I had no clue who Javi was and why it was so important to find him until near the end of the book. The other part of the series that is losing me is that they situations seem to be getting more and more ridiculous. I think this might be it for me on this series.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC audiobook of Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice by Elle Cosimano.
I listened to the first book in this series and gave it two stars. I haven't read books 2 or 3 in the series, but decided to request the audiobook for this one. Well, I am sorry to say I will only be giving this book two stars.
You are definitely put on a fast paced, twisty ride from the start. The only problem is that it is so unbelievable. There is a point that you just shake your head and say "no way, that wouldn't happen"
How the characters always find a way out or find who they are looking for is unbelievable. I get this is an adventure ride...but it is not for me.

Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice is the fourth installment in the Finlay Donovan series. This time around, Finlay and her nanny-turned-sidekick/BFF Vero are heading to Atlantic City under the guise of a girls' weekend. What they're really trying to do is thwart their nemesis who is a Russian crime boss, When Finlay's young children, her mother, and her ex-husband decide to tag along, things get complicated. When her police officer boyfriend shows up, things get even messier. While I have enjoyed the comedy of errors that always ensues in this series, this one wasn't as entertaining as its predecessors. It was still an enjoyable listen though. If you're looking for something light and fun, give any of the Finlay Donovan books a try.
Thank you to Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for a review copy of this audiobook.

This is such a fun series and I love Finlay so much. I love all the adventures she goes on. The narration was great and made me really invested in the storyline and kept me hooked.

Book four picks up right where book three left off. Nick and Finlay are starting off with a fresh relationship after all the chaos at the police academy. Vero's man friend has been kidnapped and her only goal is getting him back. Vero and Finlay, the dynamic duo, take off to Atlantic City to try to find him. The only problem is Finlay's Ex husband, mom and kids are joining them.
Finlay and Vero dive right in when they get to Atlantic City only to find the investigation from back home has followed them. Nick is trying to keep Finlay safe with a “babysitter” at all times, but that is only ruining her own investigation. Of course, all they find is more trouble and more dead bodies.

I love Nick and Finlay's chemistry and how it has built up over the last four books. In Finlay Donovan Roll’s the Dice, we get to dive into Vero's past a little more and understand her relationship with Javi. I loved how fast paced this book was and how it kept me on my toes. I switched back and forth between the audiobook and the Ebook because I had to know what was going to happen next and couldn’t let driving, dishes and laundry get in the way.

It was fun to get to know Finlay’s ex-husband a little more even though he was terrible and have more interactions with her mom. It added another layer to the series that I didn’t even know was missing. One of my favorite parts was the dog, Kevin Bacon (If you know, you know). Even the bad guys were fun.
While I thought the series would be ending with book four, I was mistaken considering that cliffhanger at the end.
I loved the narration and how Angela does such a great job differentiating between Finlay and Vero. Such a great series!! I can’t wait for the rest!

First time with this series and its book four. I feel like I should have started with the first in the series. Over all it is a good book. The reader was good and kept my attention.
