Finlay and the gang find themself heading to Atlantic City to save Javi (Vero's crush) who was taken along with a valuable stolen car.
What a book! The audiobook narration was on point and I couldn't stop listening. This is such a fun series, I laughed throughout this one! I'm excited that book four ends on another cliffhanger because it obviously means the gang are going to be back in another book. I just hope we won't have to wait too long for it!

I just love this series so much. Is it over the top and unrealistic? Yes, but that’s what I love about it. It’s lighthearted and entertaining. The characters are so well developed that it makes it easy become invested in each one.
I love the friendship between Finlay and Vero. Their banter always makes me laugh out loud. This book had more plot lines to follow than her previous books in the series, but Elle Cosimano does such a great job of tying all the webs together in the end. This ended on a cliffhanger that makes me excited for the next book!
Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the advanced copy of this audio book.

I loved the first book in the series. Then I felt it devolved into more cheesy romance and stupid dealing with the ex stuff. This one goes back tot he magic of Fin. She rushes through the mess she has made of her life, making one bad decision after another. These all lead to more and more trouble. There is some "romance" here, but it isn't the focus. She got rid of the child she was dating and her newest beau is right were he should be. This is about Fin and Vero. We are back to that magic. And all of the chaos that goes with it.

This installment in Finlay Donovan's story kept me on the edge of my seat. Picking up right where we left off, Finlay continues to find herself into situations where she is always a few steps ahead of the police. The relationship between herself and Vero has shown such growth since the first novel, and reading about the family they created makes you want to root for them regardless of the situations they get themselves into. This book also highlights the secondary and tertiary characters more, which added to the chaos that Finlay and Vero find themselves in.
Anxiously awaiting to see what mess Finlay and Vero get themselves into next.

BOOK REVIEW: FINLAY DONOVAN ROLLS THE DICE🎲🚗💰
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Road tripppp! Finlay is back and hitting the road with Vero, Steven, her mom, and the kids! They adventure to Atlantic City on a mission to rescue Javi (Vero’s childhood crush) and find a stolen car.
I love how fun, fast-paced, and entertaining the books in this series are! I was so hooked on #FinlayDonovanRollsTheDice and binged it in two days, alternating between audio and the physical copy, both of which were amazing! The narration on the audio was awesome!🙌🏼
Thank you so much to @minotaur for my gifted copy and audiobook via Netgalley.
I can’t wait for the next book in the series and might even do a re-read when the new one comes out as so much happens in each book! I’d also def recommend reading this series in order as each one builds on the previous books.

This is by far my favorite Finlay Donovan book. I found myself eager to keep listening. I love the narrator, especially for Vero. I liked how this took place in Atlantic City but I wonder if the author has really been there because it sounded nicer than it was. Can’t wait for the next installment.
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Finlay and Vero are up to their shenanigans again in Finlay Donovan Rolls The Dice!
This duo is my favorite crime fighting (kinda) gals who never have a dull moment. This book takes them to Atlantic City. Picture casinos, strip clubs and more shady characters on their tail!Finlay and Vero never cease to make me laugh and this last installment is no exception.

I was very thrilled to get an ARC of this book because it was my favorite series of 2023 and I was anxiously awaiting book #4! This book picked right back up where #3 left off and tied up some loose ends. Book 3 wasn’t my favorite of the series so far but FD Rolls the Dice helped close some of the gaps I felt after finishing book 3. The anxiety of the situations Finaly & Vero find themselves in is so real and I always find myself holding my breath for what’s next! Overall, another really entertaining read. I rated it 4 stars just because I listened to this one instead of reading and didn’t love the narrator choice.

Finlay Donovan and her nanny/partner-in-crime Vero plan a girls weekend in Atlantic City as a cover, so they can rescue Vero's childhood crush Javi. hunt down a stolen car, and negotiate a deal with a dangerous loan shark. The only problem is, they have one mother, one ex-husband and two children in tow. It is going to be hard to accomplish what they need to without raising any suspicions. Within hours of arriving at their seedy casino hotel, it becomes clear their rescue mission is going to be a bust. Javi’s kidnapper, Marco, refuses to negotiate, demanding payment in full in exchange for Javi’s life. But that’s not all—he insists on knowing the whereabouts of his missing nephew, Ike, who mysteriously disappeared. Unable to confess what really happened to Ike, Finlay and Vero are forced to come up with a new plan: sleuth out the location of Javi and the Aston Martin, then steal them both back. But when they sneak into Marco's suite to search for clues to Javi's whereabouts, they find more than they bargained for—Marco's already dead. They don’t have a clue who murdered him, only that they themselves have a very convincing motive. Then four members of the police department unexpectedly show up in town, also looking for Ike—and after Finlay's night with hot cop Nick at the police academy, he’s a little too eager to keep her close to his side.
This is the fourth book in the Finlay Donovan series. These books are so much fun. I love the Finlay & Vero duo. They remind me so much of Stephanie and Lula in the Janet Evanovich series. There was non-stop action, crazy hi-jinks, several laugh-out-loud moments, a little romance, and a very satisfying conclusion. Oh, and I love the set-up for the next book. I can't wait!

Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice starts right where Book 3 ends. The story has all the usual characters plus a road trip, dead bodies, explosions, and Kevin Bacon! And of course, it ends with a cliffhanger to bring you back again for Book #5!! If you enjoyed the first 3 books, book 4 is just as good. It was a fun read with lots of twists and turns.
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC of the audiobook in exchange for my honest review.

I loved the newest book in the Finlay Donovan series and it renewed my excitement for all that is to come. I thought that the third book in the series felt like a "filler" and I was starting to wish the series would be wrapped up, but Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice was everything this series needed to keep things rolling. The whole story was thrilling, but the epilogue was the perfect ending and it already has me looking forward to next year's book.
Summary: Finlay and Vero are headed to Atlantic City to deal with a loan shark, find Javi and hunt for the missing Aston Martin. They try to use a "girl's weekend" as their cover, but it doesn't work and they end up traveling with Finlay's mom, ex-husband and the kids in tow. Within hours of arriving, they find themselves in their usual shenanigans which of course includes a couple dead bodies. Their mission becomes even tougher to carry about when Nick, Georgia and a couple other members of the PD show up looking for Ike. Will Finlay be forced to come clean or will she escape yet again?
Suspending disbelief is necessary when reading and listening to this series, but if you can do it, this series is a BLAST! I've loved Finlay and Vero's adventures and can't wait to see what they get up to next. Thanks Macmillan Audio for sharing the early audiobook with me!

Thank you St. Martin's Press, Macmillan Audio, and Netgalley for a copy of this e-arc and audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
Oh to be back with Finlay and Vero! The first few books of this series are so fun. I think the storyline is a little too far-fetched now for me. This might be the last Finaly Donovan book that I read. I really do love the characters and it usually is such a lighthearted, fun read, but again the plot has just gone way too far with outlandish things happening.
The narrator, Angela Dawe, does a fantastic job. She can change her voice perfectly to fit each character. From Finlay to Vero to the kids, it was easy to distinguish who was talking without getting confused. I think any audiobook person might love listening instead of reading. It made me want to go back and listen to the first few books in the series because I loved reading them.
Overall, if you enjoy a lighthearted mystery and don't mind the unusual experiences, this book just might be for you. I will always recommend readers to at least try books 1 and 2, as they are my favorite.

I gave this 4.5 stars, rounded up. This was so much fun. Perhaps it is because I just had a death in the family but the silliness in this murder mystery was precisely what I loved and needed. There was no possibility that I was not going to love a book that had a dog named "Kevin Bacon." I will confess that I read the first but not the second or third, which I will go back and read when I can get my NetGalley shelf under control. In this romp, the protagonist, a writer and single mom head to Atlantic City to deal with a loan shark and save the crush of Finlay's nanny and partner in these (ad)ventures, while trying to pass this off as a girl's jaunt, but they end up accompanied by Finlay's two kids, ex husband and her mother, with Finlay's boyfriend, Nick, a police office getting involved and meanwhile, Finlay and Vero, the nanny, are trying to solve the mystery which involves the Russian mob, all without getting killed. Yes, it is silly but it had me laughing out loud and there is nothing wrong with that. The narrator was good, particularly adept at the voices of the Russian characters and older characters, and very well suited to this book.
Thanks to NetGalley and MacMillan Audio for providing me with the opportunity to listen to this wonderful mystery novel.

Fun and entertaining read! It kept me interested and I flew through it with very little difficulty.
There were a couple of head scratches along the way, mostly involving decisions made. However, if you’re not looking for a “serious” crime book, one that’s purely for laughs and fun, then I recommend this series! Make sure you read in order, they are NOT standalones!
That last sentence had me laughing and ready for the next book!
As always, the narrator did amazing! I love her!
Thank you MacMillan Audio and NetGalley for the advanced listeners copy!

This Finlay Donovan books starts up right where the last one left off with the signature twists and turns. This series has become an automatic read for me. This time I was able to get an early copy of the audiobook (many thanks to Net Galley). I listened to two of the other books in this series on audio as well, and the narrator does an amazing job with the characterization through the voice work making it an extra fun listen. Is this continuation of the series basically more of the same capers with Finlay and Vero, yes, but it is a fun listen/read and entertaining. I do feel this series has to be read in order or the love of the characters would absolutely be lost (and you might feel some pity for Finlay's ex husband). Read in order and enjoy it for the fun romp it is.
3.5 stars rounded up to 4

Our favorite mystery solving queens are back on the most bloody and mysterious road trip you have ever been on... but this time the E N T I R E gang accidentally follow Finlay and Vero on their murderous escapades.
Thank you MacMillan Audio, St. Martin's Press and Minotaur Books for the advanced copies of this book and audiobook.
This is my first time listening to a "Finlayverse" book and I have to say I would 100% recommend checking out the audiobook. Angela Dawe absolutely nails the performance of this cozy mystery. She truly completes the package when it comes to "Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice." The characters are excellently portrayed from accents to feeling the emotions through her voice, you can't get a better audiovisual experience. You can truly feel how anxious Finlay gets in some of the tenser moments and every time my heart is racing, thanks to Dawe's performance. Highly recommend!

A big thank you to @netgalley @macmillianaudio & @minotaurbooks for the ARC & ALC of the latest Finlay book!
As book series go on, I’ve often found that the storyline dwindles a bit & that was NOT the case with Finlay Donovan Rolls The Dice! Finlay #4 was just as fun, witty and hilarious as the first book!
The addition of more present side characters and more cameo’s from Steven & the kids was an added bonus - and brought me back into the world of Finlay & Vero pretty quickly.
The adventures and situations that Finlay and Vero get themselves into, has consistently been action-packed and kept me on my toes, and this latest installment was no different! I enjoy never knowing how things may sway or the turns that might come out of left field - also while being able to laugh at the witty banter that fully engrosses this book series.
The ability to flip between the ebook ARC and the audio ALC was so much fun - especially with the accents of some side characters (if you know you know) & it some how made the banter even better? Love it!
Elle Cosimano, can you do no wrong?! It sure seems like it! Thank you so much for your brilliant & fun series - I always get so excited to read the latest Finlay book & I love having Finlay and Vero make their annual appearance in my life when the latest book comes out!

"Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice" is the fourth book in Elle Cosimano's Finlay Donovan series. In this book, Finlay and her friend Vero set out to save Vero's childhood friend, Javi, but they can't reveal the true nature of their mission to anyone else. Despite this, Finlay's ex-husband, their two small children, and her mother all join them on the trip to Atlantic City. Meanwhile, Nick, a hot police officer and one of Finlay's recent interests, also makes his way to Atlantic City not knowing that Finlay is not there for a girl's weekend getaway. Fans of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series will enjoy this series. This was my first Finlay Donovan book, and now I plan to read the rest of the series before the next one comes out. Thank you #netgalley and #minotaurbooks for a free audiobook in return for an honest review.

Elle Cosimano's Finlay Donovan books are some of my favorites, and book four continues the madness and capers with lots of laughs and a bit of mystery along the way. Book four picks up right where book three ended. As a result, you really need to read the whole series from book one to understand all the characters and backstories. Finlay and Vero are the ultimate in friendship goals! And as a romance lover, I adored the scenes between Finlay and Nick. I highly recommend this series if you love a comedic mystery with a dash of romance and loveable side characters. I can't wait for book five!
Thank you to St. Martin's Press and Macmillan Audio for the advanced copies of this book, receipt of which did not impact my review.

How does Finlay keep ending up in these situations?! Such a fun read. I really enjoyed this one, great continuation to the series.
