I’ve enjoyed all four books in this series. They are quick reads, funny, and entertaining. This one in particular was quite a bit far-fetched, unrealistic, but was still enjoyable to read. I found myself speeding through it to find out what would happen.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC so I didn’t have to wait too long in suspense after the third book!

“‘My husband’s murder, I could have forgiven. He was a pain in my ass anyway,’ she admitted. ‘But no one—and I mean no one—threatens Kevin Bacon and lives to tell about it.’” FYI Kevin Bacon is the dog, so I support this quote. 👏🏻

I am so happy to be back on another crazy adventure with Finlay and her crew! This is book 4 in the Finlay Donovan series and what a ride, both literally and figuratively, this was!

Finlay’s kids, ex-husband, and mom are along for this wacky road trip along with Finlay and Vero, and they add so much to the story. I mean, who wants their ex-hubbs nagging and whining when you have crimes to solve and dead bodies to deal with?!

I just loved this audiobook. Finlay is such a hoot anyway and the narrator captured her fun and feisty energy perfectly. Such a fun and enjoyable ride.

“No good ever came out of laying everything on the table and rolling the dice. You gotta play smart.” Don’t you just love when you figure out how the book got its name?!

Thank you to Netgalley, Macmillan Audio, Minotaur Books, and the author for the ARC and ALC in exchange for an honest review.

This was another excellent installment in the Finlay Donovan series. It’s wild and crazy and filled with some twists and turns. You definitely have to suspend disbelief when reading otherwise you may find yourself frustrated by all the situations Finlay and Vero find themselves in. I found myself laughing out loud at some moments. There were a few times that I couldn’t remember everything that had happened to them in the previous 3 books, but I just kept going and it all was either explained or just made sense in the end.

I look forward to seeing where the story goes next.

Thx Macmillan Audio for the early ALC.

Finaly Donovan Rolls the Dice is a fun and quick read! It's funny that this book series is listed as a thriller, because I find them to be more of a comedy with a little thrill ride added in. The mess she and Vero seem to get themselves into are hilarious. Finlay is the true definition of a 'ride or die" best friend helping Vero rescue her long lost "boyfriend". They find themselves in some really sticky situations that they somehow make it out of every time. I love their loyalty to each other. They are kinda like a modern-day Thelma and Louise.

It does suck that Finlay finds herself in a situation where she has to lie to her boyfriend so much to keep herself and Vero out of trouble. I also enjoy the storyline of Steven and Finlay. Steven having to come to terms with the fact that she's moving on is a good, pull at the heart strings moment.

All in all, the book is well written. It's like I said before, it's a quick and easy read. While most of the stuff they get themselves in and out of so easily is a little farfetched, it's still makes you want to keep reading to see how they actually do get themselves out of a jam. I look forward to seeing what mess they get themselves into with the next book.

Thank you to the author and NetGalley for this arc! All opinions here are my own.

Audiobook at 3x was no issue. Narration was good.

My first Finlay Donovan story...and it wasn't for me. There's a very real possibility that this is my fault because I didn't know it was a series and didn't read the first 3 books. Finlay's investigations just smacked of over-the-top impossible, so I struggled to deal with that. I liked the family dynamic, the romance element, some of the humor. I just couldn't get over the disbelief at the antics/deceit to enjoy the story.

Overall: 2 stars (It was fine)

I'll tell my students about: language, alcohol, murder/violence/gore

I always love diving into the world of Finlay Donovan! The latest book in the series, Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice, was yet another thrilling addition to the series and it definitely lived up to my expectations. Being a fan of this series, I have read all the previous books, but this time I decided to give the audiobook a try and I have to say, it was an amazing experience. The narrator of the audiobook did a fantastic job of bringing the story to life, capturing both the suspenseful and comedic aspects of the novel, which is the hallmark of this series. As usual, I am eagerly looking forward to the next installment in this must-read series and can't wait to find out what exciting adventures await Finlay Donovan!

Hilarious mystery. Female friendship. Family dynamics. Mob related hits. Loved all the characters and the narration. This is #4 in a series that is continuous.

Summary: Finlay and Vero find themselves on an unexpected girls' weekend, with Finlay's ex-husband, kids, and mother in tow, to save Javi, negotiate with a loan shark, and find a stolen car in Atlantic City. When they arrive in Atlantic City, Finlay and Vero discover that this is going to be much harder than anticipated since Marco demands to know where his missing nephew, Ike is along with asking for full payment for Javi's life. Since Finlay and Vero cannot confess to what happened to Ike, they have to come up with a new plan. Along the way, they discover that Marco is dead and that they have an excellent motive for killing him. While they pursue Marco's killer, Nick and a few other police officers unexpectedly show up in town, making their search all the more difficult.

I loved being back in the world of Finlay and Vero. You know a book is good when you just sit there and laugh your head off for the entire book. It amazes me the situations Finlay and Vero always seem to find themselves in, but at the same time the ability to work through them without consequences. Finlay's mother stole the show for me in this book with her funny quips and hilarious questions to those around her. If you need a book guaranteed to make you laugh from start to finish, check out this series.

I was able to get an audiobook copy of this book as well and it is my favorite way to read this series. Angela Dawe does a fantastic job bringing these characters to life. She has a great cadence and wonderful differentiation between all the characters. I highly suggest listening to the audio.

Thank you to Netgalley and Macmillan Audio for an advanced copy of this book.

Are you ready for the craziest ROAD TRIP! I can always count on Finlay and Vero to give us a crazy time.

Atlantic City is the destination but when Finlay’s ex-husband Steven, kids and her mother want to tag along things turn interesting!

How are they supposed to accomplish their mission? Always witty dialogue and craziness with these two.

This series is just the ticket to entertain you and keep you laughing while they navigate their predicaments they get themselves into.

Rolls the Dice is the latest book in the Finlay Donovan series and picks up immediately after the third one. In this book, Finlay and Vero are on their way to Atlantic City to save Javi. However, things don't go as planned, and they find themselves in tricky situations that require clever thinking. Despite the danger, the trip is not all bad. There's some fun and games to be had, including romance and laughs. The author, Cosimano, has done a great job creating a series that doesn't take itself too seriously.

The hijinks in this book are hilarious, and I always look forward to a new installment in the series. Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice was no exception, delivering plenty of laughs and excitement. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to see what's in store for Finlay in the next installment of the series.

Thanks so much to Minotaur for the arc!

I can NOT get enough of Finlay Donovan! The first books was one of my first NetGalley reads and I was totally hooked. It also gave me such hope about how many amazing authors there are to discover.

This story was great! Finlay and Vero are off to Atlantic City! (Being that I vacation next door I loved this aspect!) What starts off as a trip for them ends up with the whole messy crew! Now they have to juggle their typical detective antics while having Finlays ex, mother, kids, new cop boyfriend and sister around! This adds such a layer of fun to the story- as always.

I am constantly entertained! I gasp, I laugh, I hold my breath! I adore Finlay and Vero’s relationship! It makes me want to hire a babysitter! We get some more pieces to Vero’s story here too- which I loved!

I loved this audio! I love the accents we get- especially Vero’s. I love the humor that comes through and how you feel like you’re along on this wild adventure! Well done narration!!

Don’t sleep on the 4th installment of Finlay Donovan! So curious to know if there will be more?!

If you haven’t read this series move it to your TBR list!! This is such an utter delight. The perfect read for the beach, for vacation or if you need to laugh!!

This time Finlay and Vero find themselves in Atlantic City with the kids, Finlay’s mom and ex husband, Steven along for the ride. Now they just have to find a way to negotiate with a loan shark and free Javi who has been kidnapped and find the Aston Martin. Sounds easy until they come across a couple of dead bodies and her new beau, Nick shows up with 3 other cops to work on the same case. This is quite the juggling act as Vero and Finlay find themselves in way over their heads as they try to dig themselves out from another crazy predicament!!

This series continues to entertain as FInlay and Vero find themselves in another over the top adventure. I love the characters, the banter and the humor that these books have.

The audiobook was once again great!! Love the narrator, she does a great job with the voices and delivers a great story.

FINLAY DONOVAN ROLLS THE DICE
Elle Cosimano

The Finlay Donovan series is one of the few series I follow. I feel like I have made friends with the characters and come to love them over the years. Have you started The Finlay Donovan Series yet?

What are you waiting for?

FINLAY DONOVAN JUMPS THE GUNS stars Finlay Donovan and a handful of characters we’ve come to know. Finlay is a suspense novelist who somehow always ends up in more trouble than the characters who star in her books.

Which is saying a lot.

Finlay, Vero, Steven, the kids, and a few other characters make their way to Atlantic City to solve a crime only to uncover another one. They make a bet and put it all on the line. Will their wagers pay off or will they end up broke and desperate, out of options?

I love this series and I think it only gets better with time. Finlay is a lovable character and I enjoy the relationship between her and the other characters in the book. The writing is cozy and the way everything gets wrapped up every time is even cozier.

The storyline is admittedly ridiculous, and it only gets more so over time. I’m here for the vibes and the fun and I’m looking forward to finding out what trouble Donovan gets into next. Pro tip: Don’t start here start at the first book in the series.

FINLAY DONOVAN ROLLS THE DICE comes out

Thanks to Netgalley, Macmillan Audio, St. Martin's Press, and Minotaur Books for the advanced copies! It was a pleasure!

The dynamic duo is back at it and I am here for every minute! Going away for a disguised girls’ weekend is more than just fun and games. Add in dead bodies, a lost dog, an annoying ex-husband, a little bit of romance, and Atlantic City will never be the same. I love this series. I laugh while also being on the edge of my seat wondering what shenanigans Finlay and Vero will find themselves in. I enjoy how the conclusion keeps me wanting more from this wacky pair. The narration masterfully brought the story to life while adding a layer of intrigue. Can't wait for their next adventure. Thank you, NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for my audiobook.

I absolutely love this series. I am completely invested in all these characters, especially Finlay, Nick, Vero and Javi. There was so many far fetched twists in this book, but it was so entertaining. I can't wait for the next one and I love how the little cliffhangers at the end set it up for the next so perfectly.
I absolutely love the narrator of this seires, she does all the voices so well that I feel like I am inside the story!
Thanks to Macmillian, Elle Cosimano and Netgalley for an early audio copy.

I have loved this series from the first book, and this installment was no exception. It is laugh out loud funny without sacrificing the plot for the comedy. There is just the perfect balance of unbelievable situations with “wait, I can actually see that happening” and I adore every single moment of it.

Finaly and Vero are back and they are headed to Atlantic City to save Vero’s boyfriend Javi, who has been kidnapped. Of course, they can’t simply head off to Atlantic City to save the day. Finlay’s ex-husband insists on coming along and bringing their kids, and just when they are leaving Finaly’s mom convinces them that it is best if she drives them all.

This is one of those series that doesn’t take itself too series and neither should you. It is just here for a good time and it really is a good time. I always have such a blast with this series and every single book has been fantastic. Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice was no exception and I was genuinely laughing out loud throughout the entire book.

This book seemed to wrap up a lot of the issues that have been haunting Finlay throughout the series so far and I started to worry that the series will be wrapping up. The end of the book set us up for more drama and left us with a bit of a cliffhanger, so I am hopeful that we will be getting more of Finlay, Vero and all of the characters that I have come to love so much.

You know when Finley and Vera are together accidental bodies accumulate. With their Aston Martin stolen with Vera’s boyfriend’s body in its trunk they are off on a wild girls’ weekend. Cosimano combines a loan shark, the Russian mob, a dirty cop, a weiner dog, and Atlantic City, then stirs in mad-cap action, humor, and romance. Kevin Bacon the dog is a fun cameo character. Angela Dawe’s narration is great at conveying the humor and action, as well as ably differentiating the multiple voices. I binge listened. THis will be best enjoyed if you’ve read the others as it picks up right after the third and threads are left hanging for the next book. Although this isn’t my favorite in the series I still enjoyed it and high demand is guaranteed. Recommended.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for an advance review audiobook. All opinions expressed are my own.

Mystery hi-jinx and hilarious moxie from Finlay and Vero! I love this book and laughed out loud many times! The suspense and plot threads are deftly woven and beautifully crafted. I think it is talented writing to balance such hilarious characters and personalities with a compelling mystery narrative. Thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining story and I love the romance with Finlay and Nick. We need more of these two! The plot got a little too muddled towards the ending with the cross/double cross from the dog/missing Ike/Russian mob/loan Shark murder. I think overall it was well written. And I loved the friendship between Finlay and Vero. This book showed them both having more vulnerability and hope there are more books coming soon.

This is book 4 in the series and picks up right where book 3 ended. I can’t get enough of this series! It’s so fast paced, fun, and witty. Some of the situations Finlay and Vero get themselves into are a little over the top but I personally think it adds to the humor and quirkiness of the series. The audiobook I think really makes it - Angela Dawe really brings these characters to life. I will forever recommend this series to everyone!

Thank you so much for allowing me to read an advanced copy of Finlay Donovan Rolls The Dice!

This series is just a blast and gets better and better. This is definitely a book where hi-jinks ensue. Finlay and Vero, her nanny/partner in crime are ready for a girls weekend. That girls weekend turns into a trip with Finlay’s mom, her kids, her ex husband and a few dad bodies. Not to mention the law in the form of her love interest and sister. There’s a lot going on here as Finlay is trying to balance it all, while trying to be a mom.
I mean make this one a television series already!

Huge thank you to @macmillan.audio and @netgalley for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
