Finlay and Vero are back again in another action packed and hilarious book! This one might be my second favorite in the series behind the first book. It was hilarious and fast paced and I truly wish this were a tv series. There is so much to keep straight in these books and I definitely don't do a good job of it, but the good thing is that it doesn't seem to matter that much. I have a great time with them regardless and it's definitely nice to suspend reality for a period of time. I liked how the ending set the scene for what's to come and I'm already looking forward to it!
I started out by reading this one and when I was around 40% a friend recommended listening while I read because the audiobook was great, so I added the audio on top of reading. I hate to say it but I really don't love the narrator on this book. She had a weird (Scottish? British?) accent and didn't send American a lot of the times which was confusing because the characters definitely are. It was really distracting for me and I even googled where she is from and the answer is... Michigan. Other people on the Internet apparently felt the same as me so a little validating at least. Her voice for Vero was also so odd, I just couldn't get over it. Why the accents?! I will 100% continue this series but I think I need to just read them and not listen if the narrator stays the same.
Thank you for granting me access!

This is number 4 in the Finlay Donovan series and picks up right where #3 leaves off. Finlay and Vero are off to Atlantic City to rescue Javi and the troublesome Aston Martin. Only they didn't realize Finlay's ex-husband, her mother and her kids would be along for the ride. Of course there are the usual hijinks that only Finlay and Vero can get up to (and out of.) Hot-cop Nick, Finlay's sister and her paramour also make an appearance and this is a girls' weekend you won't soon forget. Best news of all, it seems Finlay has finally tied up all loose ends with that pesky mob business, only to have the police show up at her neighbor's home across the street. This means a #5 is on the way!
*Special thanks to NetGalley and Macmillan audio for this audio e-arc.*

Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice is book #4 in the series, you really should read them all in order. The character relationships are amazing and grow stronger with each book. I was especially thrilled to get an ARC copy of this one in Audiobook format as that's how I've "read" the other three in the series. Let me start by saying Elle Cosimano and Angela Dawe are a PERFECT team. Angela's narration really brings the story to life with her superb skill of giving each character voice.
Are these books crazy and over the top? Yes! Do we still get a kick out of reading them? YES!
With that said, even though the situations Finlay and Vero find themselves in are ridiculously improbable, they are still hilarious, fun and at times very heartwarming. About three quarters the way through the book I started developing a fear that this might be the end of the series. Things were looking to be buttoned up: Finlay has finally stopped letting Steven rule her mind, she and Nic are heating things up and Finlay's new books are taking off and about to be best sellers with a movie deal in the works. Vero and Javi are doing....well, they're just doing Vero and Javi to keep the spoilers out. Cam is back and we're feeling like Finlay does about him, all motherly and protective. Then there is Sylvie, the ever lovable agent who always elicits laughs on her own. Georgia, Sam and even Finlay's parents are all moving to good places then BOOM.....we get a cliffhanger ending! So happy to know there will be at least one more installment to this rollicking fun series.
This book did seem to finish out most of the plot arc that has been going on but I definitely think they are some loose ends for Finlay and Vero to tie up and I'm ready for it. This book did not disappoint and I found myself laughing out loud but the fondness for Cam has become so heartwarming as well. Elle Cosimano, I hope you have everything you need to get us ready for the next book and Angela Dawe, don't even think about not narrating this series!! Thank you to Minotaur books, Macmillan audio and Netgalley for the opportunity to do an early review of this publication. Opinions are my own.

♡ Finlay and Vero are BACK, and this book is now my absolute favorite of the series! ♡
Thank you to @netgalley @minotaur_books (for my e-arc) and @macmillan.audio for my #gifted advance audiobook. Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun by @ellecosimano publishes next week on March 5th!
❤️In this latest installment, the plot picks up immediately at the conclusion of the last book where Finlay and her partner in crime, Vero spent a week at a civilian police academy. The girls plan a getaway weekend in Atlantic City to cover their ruse to track down the loan shark who has kidnapped Vero’s childhood crush, Javi, and to locate the stolen Aston Martin the Russian mafia is hunting.
💛Their plans are quickly thwarted when Finlay’s ex husband, Steven, AND her mom, insist on joining them for some family fun. 😂. Their mission quickly unravels further when the loan shark refuses to negotiate, and Javi’s kidnapper, Marco, is found dead in his hotel suite.
❤️When Finlay’s hot detective boyfriend Nick, and his police pals, also arrive in Atlantic City pursuing a case lead, Finlay is suddenly juggling a jealous ex-husband, two precocious kids, her mother’s marital issues, a decomposing loan shark, and trying to find Vero’s missing boyfriend!! Will she and Vero get out of Atlantic City in one piece? Will Finlay finally have to come clean to Nick in order to keep her loved ones safe?
💛As usual, Cosimano delivers hilarious high jinks while building suspense and leading readers in multiple directions before the big twists and reveal. Narrator Angela Dawe delivers a power house performance, capturing Cosimano’s comedic timing with ease, adding flair to the wide ranging cast of hilarious characters, and performing the action scenes with perfect suspense.
❤️Action, humor, romance, friendship, flawed heroines, and morally grey heroes, this installment has all of the charm that have made this series an international success. And the ending 🙌🏼. I’m so thrilled the series will be continued and can’t wait for what is in store for my favorite best friends, Finlay and Vero.

Another fun adventure with Finlay and Vero, now with the rest of the family in tow! I lived in Atlantic City for awhile so it was nice to visit my old stomping grounds and see it from Finlay’s point of view (my life was never as exciting when I was there, thankfully). It’s difficult to imagine that their lives could get any crazier but every book has even more thrilling events than the last. There are a lot of loose ends tied up in this one and the conclusion was exhilarating but fitting. The writing flows well and, although the antics seem outlandish, they are just believable enough to keep you invested in the story and laughing all the way. Can’t wait for their next adventure!

Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice Audio and e-book by Elle Cosimano finishes up the crimes Finaly has been funning from. Done and dusted, hopefully. She and Vero have followed the Auston (car) to Atlantic City where their “crimes” are getting more complicated with the arrival of Nick, his retired cop-friend, Charlie, Georgia and Sam, both cops, and an FBI Agent. They brought Finlay’s mom and kids, as well as her ex-husband, Stephen with them. They were looking for Marco, a gangster who had taken the car from Vero’s cousin’s garage at home. Does this sound complicated? It just gets worse. It is a never-ending circle of avoidance, deception, kidnapping, and so much more. Finlay is a writer, romance/thriller mainly. She gets some of her stuff from her own life, which she had never asked for and didn’t want. The story began several books ago and while the reader may not have all the details, there are enough to make this a stand-alone, if that’s your choice.
Vero is Finlay’s “nanny,” and is just as guilty as Finlay for getting them into fixes with criminals and mobsters. All the characters are deeply involved, although most unwillingly and unaware. Finlay’s mom is mad at her husband and that is a humorous subplot as are Finlay’s dealings with her ex. Finlay has just begun a romance with Nick, a police detective, and is worried he will find out all about her near-misses. Finlay is not a criminal. She just gets herself into fixes. This book is supposed to by funny, and it is, but it is frightening as well. Finlay and Vero are alive only through dumb luck and that is never a good look. Entertaining? Yes.
The narrator is Angela Dawe who does a credible job with Finlay and Vero, verging off into voices for other characters, some of which are ridiculous. It is an entertaining listen, however. I enjoyed it and rate her performance four stars. It is better as an audiobook, than a print one.
I was invited to listen to Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice by Macmillan Audio, and to read it by St. Martin’s Press. All thoughts and opinions are mine. #Netgalley #MacMillanAudio #StMartinsPress #ElleCosimano #AngelaDawe #FinlayDonovanRollsTheDice

Elle Cosimano does it AGAIN! The Finlay Donovan series is my favorite series ever. I just LOVE the characters and the humor and how the author blends mystery and romcom together so flawlessly. I devoured this book and I think Finlay Donovan Rolls The Dice just might be my favorite book in the series to date! If you have not read this series, please give it a try! If you have, you are going to LOVE this book!
Finlay and Vero are at it again! The two have plans to take a trip to Atlantic City to negotiate a deal with a loan shark, save Vero’s friend, Javi, and find a stolen car. Easy, right? Wrong! Steven, Finlay’s ex-husband, and her mother both insists on joining them. Can Finlay and Vero make it out of Atlantic City in one piece, or will their past come back to haunt them?
I knew when I read the description for this one, that it was going to be such a fun ride! So many amazing recurring characters were in this book and the character development is what makes this series so amazing. I was laughing out throughout the entire book. Vero is quite possibly my favorite character. I love her snark and banter, and how she just constantly goes after Steven. I will say, I did appreciate how we saw a different side of Steven in this novel.
🎧I alternated between the physical book, and the audiobook, narrated by Angela Dawe. I always love listening to this series because the narrator is so dynamic and I just love how she changes her voice for the different characters. I LOVE how she narrates for Vero’s character, and I always look forward to hearing her bring Finlay and her shenanigans to life. If you are looking for a fun and engaging audiobook, you have to try this one! Angela Dawe once again has given a flawless performance!
🎲Lots of Drama

#finlaydonovan does it again for me! Thank you @ellecosimano and @angela.dawe for writing and performing another fun edition of Finlay Donovan!
Reading or listening to Finlay is like going on an adventure with your mad funny cousin Vero! And boy what an adventure in #AltlanticCity ! And what I love best is how even on my darkest days, Finlay and Vero can make me smile AND laugh out loud with their witty banter between them and their quick thinking! Man the scrapes they get out of!!! lol
I also appreciated the character development of Finlay’s X (noooooo go backsies Elle!!! Nooooo) and Vero’s developments!
A lot of issues from the last few books seemed to resolve here so I cannot wait to see what mess they step into next! I didn’t finish the one before this - I think I need to go back and finish listening to it soon! I also think there’s a book out about Vero that I also need to get on audio because DUHHHH @angela.dawe is one of my Favorite audiobook performers- when I think of Finlay I hear HER voice in my head! Many thanks to @netgalley and the fantastic @macmillan.audio for allowing me this book for an honest review! Check this out if you haven’t it’s fun and light and will make you laugh! And let’s not underrate our NEED to laugh these days! Amidst all of my more serious reads, I do love something that will make me laugh. It’s important for my moods which can get more than gloomy at times!
Have a great day my friends!! Who else out there is a #finlayfan ?❤️

God I love these books. I'm with the thousands of other readers who continue to say that these books are a glittering bright spot on their reading lists: they are so perfectly light and enjoyable but also consistently humorous and well plotted. I just love reading them!
The narrator on this book was fabulous. Her humor and deadpan delivery increases my love for the books tenfold.
My biggest problem with any Finlay Donovan book, if you can call it that, is that I go a year between reading them - and for me, maybe 100 books has passed, and I have a hard time coming back into the folds of the story. There are SO MANY important characters in these books, and the plot is so intricately woven around them all, I could really use a recap sometimes! Once I settle in, I remember, but I think it speaks to how well Cosimano is playing to the thriller and mystery aspect of these books that she has so much content for that.
I also appreciate that she's playing to the humor and the female friendships. If I'm being honest, the thing that keeps me coming back to these books again and again is not dead bodies or steamy romance: it's Fin and Vero. I adore these two and their friendship; their banter carries every book. It's just so REAL, I feel like it could be me and my best friend.
Adored this book. Highly recommend!

This was another fun sleuthing time with Finlay and Vero. What I loved is we got deeper into Vero's story and found out a couple of her secrets.
You can depend on this Lucy and Ethelle pairing to keep us entertained while solving murders and creating more mayhem.
I love the narration as usual it is so amazing for every character.
I can keep listening to this series forever!

Elle Cosimano did it again! Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice is another fun-filled, suspenseful romp for Finlay and Vero, the kids and their supporting characters and this time it's all rolled up in a road trip. Such fun!
The situations Finlay and Vero get themselves into are mostly absurd but also somehow believable. There are dead bodies here and there, and a decent amount of sexual tension, the action is constant, and I was thoroughly entertained by both the storytelling and skill of the narrator of the audiobook. Either print or audio version will not disappoint.
Fans of Finlay and Vero, as well as newcomers to the series, will love this book.
Thank you, Macmillan Audio, Netgalley, and Elle Cosimano for the advanced copy.

So when I first requested this advance listen, I did not know that it was book 4 in the series. However, I still chose to listen and I am so glad I did. Finlay Donovan is a bad ass and fierce! Three words I would use to describe this book is funny, witty, and adventurous. The narrator, Angela Dawe, *chefs kiss*! When I say she embodied each of the character’s voices and personalities so well, I mean SHE 👏🏾 DID 👏🏾 THAT! I can’t wait for the book to come out and to order the first three books in the series. I can wholeheartedly say that I am a Finlay Donovan fan.

Finlay Donovan Rolls The Dice 🎲 #4
Pub Date 📅: 3/5/24
Thank you @stmartinspress for the finished copy!
You must you must you must read the first 3 in the series first. There is not a ton of character development so you need to read them in chronological order to fully grasp the SOAP OPERA this series is!
These books are absolutely ridiculous and silly but I always come back for more! Vero you are my HERO 🫶🏼
If you are in a reading slump definitely pick up this series they are great to listen to too! Thank you @netgalley & @macmillan.audio for my #ACL
Longer review on #Youtube 🔗 in bio!

I was so excited for this 4th installment detailing the adventures of Fiinlay & Vero- I piggy backed between the digital & audio versions of this one! Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice.... boy did she ever! Disguised as a girls' weekend in Atlantic City, Finlay & Vero set out to rescue Vero's childhood friend & crush Javi. To add to the craziness & chaos, Finlay & Vero are accompanied by Finlay's mother, ex-husband Stephen, & 2 precious children. This book has it all- adventure, suspense, an Atlantic city bookie, and throw even a side of the Russian mob. This book is light, fun, entertaining & an easy read. The narrator on the audio was spectacular & lends even more to the story. I would describe this as a cozy mystery with equal parts of humor & craziness. As in all of their adventures, Finlay & Vero compliment each other's personalities extremely well and make for quite the duo. While this could be read as s stand alone, I can't imagine anyone would want to - all of the installments of this series are a fast-paced, must read. Thank you @netgalley @stmartinspress & @macmillanaudio for the digital & audiobook ARC of this title.

This is book 4 following the crazy shenanigans of Finlay and Vero. If you have yet to read this series, you are missing out! Constant excitement, dead bodies, mobs, gambling, stolen car, shootings... absolutely unbelievable but still so good! This one gives the Hangover vibes and Miss Congeniality 2 as they venture to Atlantic City to find Vero's kidnapped childhood friend.
To me, this series is a great 'palette cleanser'. Great for reading or listening after a deep emotional read. A whole lot of nonsense that just works and is highly entertaining.
I can't wait for the next in the series. I have already started speculating what is going to happen in the next book.
Thank you, @netgalley, @stmartinspress, & @macmillan.audio for an audio & Ecopy.

The 4th installment of the Finlay Donovan series finds Finlay and Vero taking a truly cursed trip to Atlantic City. There's a kidnapped childhood crush to find, a missing car to track down, a few inconvenient dead bodies to contend with, a random dog named Kevin Bacon, and of course, the entire extended family and most of the local police department have come along for the ride.
After not enjoying the previous book that much, I am happy that this was a welcome return to form. The setting in Atlantic City was well utilized, and even if I didn't always follow each and every convoluted plot line, I was thoroughly entertained. There was also a nice balance between arriving at a satisfying conclusion to many of the storylines and ending on a cliffhanger that has me anticipating the 5th book.
I've listened to all the Finlay Donovan books as audiobooks and think they work exceptionally well in this format. Angela Dawe is an excellent narrator and does a great job bringing these over-the-top storylines to life.
Overall, I would give the audiobook 5 stars, while the story is closer to 4. I highly recommend this book and the entire Finlay Donovan series of audiobooks.
Many thanks to Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for providing me with the ALC in exchange for my honest review.

I was so excited to receive an advanced copy of this audiobook, the 4th book in one of my favorite series, and I was not disappointed! Finlay and Vero are back at it, this time in Atlantic City to help Vero clear up a sticky situation with a loan shark. As with the other books in the series, they are not stand alone but rather a continuation.
I love the perfect combination of thrill, crime, and comedy in this series. The style reminds me a lot of Dead To Me on Netflix. I'm looking forward to and hopeful for a 5th installment in this series!
I read the digital arc and now listened to the audiobook and I absolutely love the narration.

Finlay and Vero head to Atlantic City, where their "getaway" acts as a cover for a deal with a loan shark, a search for a stolen car, and the saving of Vero’s crush, Javi. And things become extra complicated when Finlay's ex, her mother, and the rest of the gang accompany them.
There, the plan falls apart fast, and they unexpectedly find themselves as potential suspects in a murder.
This was the perfect time in the series to freshen things up by transporting the characters to a new location, and Atlantic City was the perfect place for both mayhem and crime.
It has all the same humor and heart you expect from Finlay and Vero in investigating the seedy underworld of criminal minds, and fans of the series are also likely to be both pleased and intrigued by the ending.
The ebook version was easy and breezy to follow!

Fin & Vero for the win!
I absolutely love this Finlay series, & I love that she's back with more chaotic & funny drama that keeps us entertained the entire book through! Finlay & Vero are back, this time in Atlantic City, taking care of some of Vero's debt, and it seems like most of the old characters are back as well (including Nick!)
I would recommend reading the first 3 books in the series before jumping into this one. It probably won't be as great as the first 2 books however it is still a great read with tons of laughs!
Thank you NetGalley, Ellie Cosimano, & publishers for the ARC!

Thank you to St Marin Press and Net Galley for an advance copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
First, I love the Finlay Donovan series! This book picks up right where book 3 ends. Vera and Finlay take a road trip to Atlanta with Finlay’s mother, children, and ex husband (😳) in tow. Who doesn’t love a witty mystery with some love interests mixed in? I love Finlay and Vera. Such a power team and the pickles they get themselves in and out of are so entertaining.
