Yes! My favorite accidental criminal is back!!
Finlay Donovan is just your average suburban mom. She's pursuing her dreams of becoming an author, slaying the single parent game, and still finding time to have a love life. The only problem is she finds herself in the very unfortunate circumstance that she seems to always find herself tied up in major crime rings. Oh, and there's always a lot of dead bodies that show up. I think this story is one of my favorites since I first was introduced to Finlay. Cosimano is the best at continuing this story, and I hope there is even more Finlay to come!
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of this audiobook!

Thank you MacMillan for Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice, so wonderfully narrated once again by Angela Dawe (I can't imagine listening to another performer for this series!). I enjoy this series so much and really love it on audio, Cosimano has a way of always making me laugh with the slightly absurd situations Finlay and Vero find themselves in but also I laugh with the witty snarky commentary that underlies their relationship, how they see their lives and how they see the chaos around them... that might be a comment on how I approach my own life but it's why I love these books. I mean the whole thing with the "diner" scene... and a lot of other moments too. The presence of Finlay's mother was really a nice added note of humor for me throughout.
What I also like is that these books have some heart, often what is driving Finlay and Vero is a sense of care for someone else, a desire to right a wrong, and maybe to outsmart the "bad guys". Cosimano wants the characters to win not just because they happen to be in the right place right time or lucky but because they are resourceful, quick witted, and indefatigable. Finlay has her boyfriend and her ex and a lot of personal life stuff but it never defines her and I really like that at the end of the day those are secondary notes to who she is in these books.
A fun series, perfect road trip audiobook, and a fun series that makes me laugh, doesn't take itself too seriously, and brings in the joy of a smart feisty female friendship!

(rounded up from 2.5)
The first Finlay Donovan book was such a treat, crazy and funny, with a great premise. I gave it four stars. Books 2 and 3 were not as good, more like 3.5 stars. Sadly, this one, however, is the end of the road for me with this series. The story has just gotten too silly and too over-the-top and literally unbelievable. (This series has been compared to Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum series and I agree. I also stopped reading those after about 15 books. If you love those books, definitely try this series.)
You really need to read this series in order. FD Rolls The Dice picks up right where book 3, FD Jumps The Gun, leaves off. The central cast of characters hasn’t changed, although the locale has. This time, everyone (and I mean everyone!) has driven from Virginia to Atlantic City, New Jersey in search of a missing Aston Martin and a missing Javi. The publisher’s blurb gives away too much, as is often the case, so I won’t repeat any of that here.
The Prologue had me laughing out loud, as the group had to pull over to the side of the highway, to try to get back little Zach’s blankie, which somehow flew out the car window. The scene brought me back to the days when our boys were little! That, however, was one of the high points of the book for me.
I bounced between the audiobook and the ebook for this title, which was very convenient and how I got through the story so quickly. The audiobook was beautifully narrated by Angela Dawe, who did a variety of male and female voices and accents.
Thank you to Minotaur Books and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advance reader copy of this book and to Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to an advance copy of this audiobook. All opinions are my own.

I feel this book had a lot of potential to be fun, but as part of a series, I think it went back to previous books which made it hard to follow at times. I thought the characters were funny, but done of the situations they got into were a little far fetched. I liked Finlay and Nick, but felt sorry for his since Finlay was always lying.

I received an advanced audiobook copy of Finlay Rolls the Dice through NetGalley.
The narration and audio quality were excellent. I have misophonia so if I can hear the narrator breathing or they have dry mouth and it causes sounds to be made it drives me nuts. But, that was not an issue here as the quality was great!
Finlay and Vero hit the road to Atlantic City. Unfortunately, the ex-husband forces them to take him along or he won’t let the kids go and Finlay’s mom also joins the trip. Vero is dead set on finding Javi’s kidnapper and Javi. Javi’s kidnapper refuses to give him up until Vero’s debt is paid in full or until his missing nephew is returned to him. Unfortunately, the nephew can’t be returned and the debt can’t be paid in full so Finlay and Vero have to take matters into their own hands.
This book was quirky, funny and highly entertaining, but ends on a cliff hanger to set up for the next book in the series.

Finlay Donovan, please never change. This book is the fourth installment in the Finlay Donovan series and picks up right where the third left off. As per usual, this book was filled with so much fun and random chaotic energy. If you’re looking for a book that’s absolutely ridiculous and unrealistic in the BEST WAY POSSIBLE, this is the book for you. I had so much fun listening to the gang take Atlantic City and find themselves in some deep stuff, and of course, find their way out of it. This book had it all - strip clubs, shady hotels, gold teeth, puppies, rigor mortis and our HOT HOT HOT cop boyfriend Nick! There wasn’t a dull moment. The Finlay Donovan series is one of my favorites for a feel good, fast paced and entertaining read. I can’t wait for the next one!
Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the ARC copy in exchange for my honest review.

The fourth installment of the Finlay Donovan series was such a fun addition. I like how it wasn't as complicated of a plot as the third book. You jump right into the book with all the characters you love and Atlantic City's casino scene. It has funny moments mixed into the mystery that book one established and I can't wait to read more.

The Finlay Donovan series has been so enjoyable. The twists and turns and humor on top of it all make the series and this book wonderful. It is fast paced with a little romance too. Such a great read!

A HUGE thank you to NetGalley and MacMillan Audio for the audiobook ARC in exchange for my honest review! I have waited and entire year for this book and it was in my top 5 most anticipated releases for 2024 and it did not disappoint!!!! I was smiling and giggling the entire time I listened. I have enjoyed every single book in this series, but something about this book just felt so incredibly perfect. The pacing was fabulous, the setting was fun, the characters were stellar, and it just made me fall even harder for this series. The only bad thing is that now I’ll have to go an entire year again for the next book!!
It is also worth mentioning, that Angela Dawe continues to narrate this series with such perfection that I’m just left in awe 😍

Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice is the 4th book in this fun series. This book picks up immediately after the end of book 3 (Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun). Once again Finlay gets herself into ridiculous situations. While many, maybe most, of these are unbelievable, they make for a fun read. I don’t think any of the sequels have been as good as the first book, but I still find myself wanting to know what’s happening in Finlay’s life. I’m sure I’ll read as many books in this series as the author writes.
Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

4/5
Oooooh, Finlay. These books are absolutely ridiculous (in a fun way), and this one was no exception. After book 3, I was thinking the series was on its last leg, but this book (book 4) totally revived things. This book was action-packed and hilarious! The plot combined all the characters we’ve met before in a way that provided new interactions, chaos, and comedy.
On my podcast (Unsolicited Book Reviews - shameless plug), I talked about how I will keep reading the Finlay Donovan books because I feel I’m invested, but I feel they’re kinda going downhill. However, after this book, I will absolutely need to amend this statement. Book 4 is uncontestedly my favorite book of the series! I am completely re-energized about this series! Also, it ends on such a cliffhanger and I cannot WAIT for book 5!!!
Thank you to the publisher, author, and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest rating and review.

My enjoyment of this series has gone down with each subsequent book. I understand that you have to suspend disbelief when it comes to mystery series like this, but I find it so hard to believe that every other character is a bumbling idiot while Finlay and Vero get up to their shenanigans.
The timing is also so ridiculous. They will say they only have X amount of time to accomplish something, then what feels like hours later, they continue making excuses for the excessive passage of time.
Also, I’m sorry, but there would be no inch of those casinos not covered in cameras and security. There’s no way they would be able to get up to half of what they get up to without getting caught.

Finlay Rolled The Dice and.....JACKPOT!!! Elle Cosimano brought back that wit and charm she introduced us to in the first installment of this series. I found myself laughing out loud and the constant need to wipe syrup/jam from my sticky fingers. I enjoyed the fast pace and cleverness Finlay and Vero had in this book. It felt less complicated and was overall just a fun light read that will help you escape the world.
Vero had her moments to shine in this book of course, and it was great getting more insight into her personal life. I can't wait to see her maybe become more domesticated? HA not a chance!
I am still unsure about Finlay and Nick, yes they have sexual chemistry, but I would like to see a little daytime chemistry.
This book wrapped up nicely and I am already looking forward to piling into Finlay's Mini Van with Vero as the sidekick and solving more crimes!!
Thank you Net Galley and Elle Cosimano for allowing me the opportunity to review this advanced copy. I was not influenced or paid in exchange for my honest original thoughts.

I thought the first Finley Donovan book was cute! It was not a five star read, but it was cute and funny! The second one was pretty good. It was getting a little bit repetitive. But by then I had fallen for the characters. So I was excited to see if this book offered as an advanced reader copy on NetGalley. At first it felt like seeing old friends. But very quickly, it became monotonous. I realized I was making myself continue listening to it. This is going to have to go into they did not finish pile unfortunately.
Thank you NetGalley for the advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review..

The latest in the Finlay Donavan saga stayed true to its quirky, crazy self.
I have to start with the fact that this was the first book in the series I’ve listened to rather than read, and I didn’t love the narrator. I hated her voice for Vero, and struggled with her make voices also.
That being said, I did enjoy this book. It was chaotic and I feel like as the series progresses, it’s gets less and less believable. Like for some reason the first book feels like that could possibly happen, and then once you get to the 4th you’re kind of like…hmmm nope. It’s hilarious and I love all of the mishaps, it’s wildly entertaining.
Fans of Finlay won’t be disappointed. I love that this book has road trip vibes and it’s taken out of their normal setting. For sure worth the read!
Thank you NetGalley and Macmillan audio for the ARC!

4.5 stars rounded up. I have absolutely loved this series and the narrator makes it so entertaining, the voice and accents are great and the humor really comes through well. I was constantly cracking up, this book had all the usual shenanigans. The story gets right into the action, picking up immediately after the conclusion of the previous book. It's a road trip to Atlantic City with the whole family, Finlay's mom and ex husband included. We also get a lot more of Finlay and Nick together, which I absolutely loved. Series' are hard for me because I tend to forget everything by the time the next one comes out. That is not the case with this series. As soon as I started, I knew immediately what was going on. These books are so fun, fast pace, and hard to forget. I thought the series was wrapping up very nicely and then the epilogue happened. It looks like this may not be the last we see of Finlay Donovan.
Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the ALC in exchange for my honest review.

Thanks NetGalley for the advanced audiobook. I really enjoyed the continuation of Finley Donovan adventures. It wasn’t as good as her first. It was an enjoyable read.

It was my first time listening to Finlay Donovan on audiobook, it was very entertaining. The narrator did a great job on the action sequences. The only issue I had was with Javi and Vero’s voices, they sounded very similar and a raspy smokers voice.

I always love catching up with Finlay and Vero and while these books are definitely entertaining, this one was not my favorite. I buddy read this one with a friend and more than once I was messaging her about how over the top this was and I know I have some strong feelings when I am starting to feel sorry for Steven, Finlay’s jerk of an ex-husband!
While the action was non-stop, I think that may have been part of the problem – there was too much going on and it was hard to keep up. I do like the relationship between Nick and Finlay but felt bad for Nick as he was either being lied to or ignored for most of the storyline.
Finlay and Vero remind me a lot of Lucy and Ethel – fun to watch but always getting into some type of trouble. Will I read the next book – probably as I am always curious as to how the series will end.
