Vero and Finlay are a ridiculous and fun pair, so solving crime with them is sure to be a wild ride once again!

In this book Finlay and her partner-in-crime Vero are back and in need of a getaway. Atlantic City may seem like the perfect place for them to unwind, but not so much when you’re really trying to find a stolen car, cut a deal with a loan shark, & save a childhood crush... AND your mother and pesky ex-husband decide to tag along.

Pretty soon Finlay & Vero realize, yet again, that they are in over their heads and must find a way to get what they need without the help of the seedy kidnapper and loan shark. They also may or may not find another dead body and a convincing story that THEY have motive for murder. Will Finlay finally find a way to come clean and get out of this mess or will she double down and cement herself as a gal with some stories to hide?

I had a blast with this book like the previous ones in the series. The narration was fun and the story is fast-paced and entertaining. I recommend!

I received approval on this book and then quickly realized it was part of a series. What's a girl to do?! I went back and read the entire series. I loved it! This book is super cute. The protagonist is endearing, relatable, and funny. The situations she finds herself in are comedic with just the right amount of reality mixed in. This wasn't my favorite book of the series, but it was still cute and fun to read.

Finlay Donovan is at it again! I have said it before and I will say it again this book series and set of characters is by far one of the most enjoyable and amusing that I have read. This book picks up right where the last book has finished. We have Finlay and Vero heading off to another adventure but this time it is in Atlantic City! They are attempting to rescue Javi after he got caught up in their schemes in the last book. One small problem though, they can't shake Finlay's family and when they finally start to make progress they find something they didn't bargain for, another dead body!

This book did not disappoint. This book had so many tropes and traits that reminded me of a comedic girls trip movie. I could picture the way these events unfolded in my head and I hope this gets made into a TV show. I think the ending was just enough to keep em waiting for the next book but not an unbearable cliffhanger. I will be ready and waiting for the next book in the series. I recommend this book to everyone and I will continue recommending it!

I cannot recommend this book enough. I recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a series to read with their book club or group of friends. I haven't met anyone who has started this series and not enjoyed it. Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this story.

Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice was such a fun ride! I grew up in the Atlantic City area, and Cosimano was SPOT on with the descriptions of various areas. She definitely did her research. there was a frequent adding of new characters throughout the book, which could be tough to follow at times. Overall, a fun romp with Finlay and Vero!

I have absolutely been hooked on the Finlay Donovan series since the first book! Finlay and Vero are two characters that you can’t help but loving, and their sarcasm, snarkiness, and wit make them so much more fun. This 4th installment was just as fun and amazing as the past. Another 5-star book in the series and another action-packed adventure in Atlantic City this round. If you love dry humor and thrillers, this series is for you. Can’t wait to read the 5th next year!!

Have you read this fun series ?
I love Finlay Donovan and her nanny and best friend Vero and their antics- and now they are headed to the casinos in Atlantic City. This is already the fourth book in this super fun series (out last Tuesday) and I can only recommend reading them in order since in this special case I would say you do spoil the fun of reading the first three books if you start with this one.
Even if this is the fourth book, these books are still fresh and over the top fun, there's no letting up, the quick pacing and outrageous plot will just grab you and take you along - I found myself laughing out loud with my kindle in hand yet again !
What I admire most is that Elle Cosimano manages to write a book, a while series no less, that is laugh out loud funny, dark humor, with an over the top storyline and still manages to have relatable characters that can make you think about some of your own insecurities and vulnerabilities if you want to, if not you can just laugh things away and it is still a fabulously entertaining read!
I had access to the audiobook through
@macmillan.audio as well (thank you so much) and the narration by Angela Dawe is simply excellent for this book, this is not only a fun read but also a fun audio. Whichever way you go, you can’t go wrong with this one !

With “girls’ weekend” taken over by everyone and the kitchen sink, Finlay and Vero struggle to keep their mission under wraps. The only rule they’re desperate to keep in Atlantic City is to avoid everyone as much as possible.
I cannot express how good this series is with the narration of Angela Dawe. She brings out the best of the best through her pacing and humorous inflections. Finlay and Vero are wild and I can’t help but adore listening to their antics.
Thank you to @macmillan.audio for the #complimentary audiobook. All thoughts are my own.

I have really been loving the Finlay Donovan series! They are such fun books to listen to. Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice is the fourth book in the series, and my favorite so far.

In this book, FInlay and her nanny (and partner in crime), Vero, are headed to Atlantic City. While everyone things they are on a girls weekend to relax, they are actually going on a rescue mission for Vero's crush, Javi. As nothing ever goes as planned with these two, the rescue mission turns out to be much more dangerous than expected, and their hilarious hijinks ensue.

It always surprises me how relatable and funny these characters are. They end up in the most ridiculous situations and always land on their feet. I always find Finlay's character very relatable and endearing. I continue to root for her success no matter what is thrown at her. I love how we got to focus a bit more on Vero this time around. I really love them both.

I think Angela Dawe did an amazing job with the narration. I've enjoyed her performance in the other books of this series as well. She really brings humor and vulnerability to Finlay's character. She also does a great job voicing the other characters as well including those with a variety of accents.

Overall, I really loved this book and definitely recommend the audio!

When I started this book, I didn't realize it was the fourth book in a series. Most of the plot involved events that happened in the first few books in the series, so it was often difficult to follow.. I would recommend that anyone interested in Finlay Donovan to start with the first book in the series. Finlay is an author who ends accidentally ends up involved in murder and mayhem.
I was given an ARC of this book by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was my favorite of the series! Finlay and Vero take on Atlantic City in this hilarious and exhilarating story wrapping up the Finlay Donovan series. I loved the plot twists and did not see them coming at all. I also enjoyed learning more about Vero and her background with Javi. I would definitely recommend listening to this on audiobook as the narrator does a fantastic job playing each of the characters.

Thank you NetGalley & Macmillan Audio for this amazing arc & opportunity. I have loved Finlay & her world since book 1 && the 4th book didn’t disappoint. Between her ex husband trying her & all the dead men she can’t catch a break. The narrator bring Finlay to life it matches so perfectly to who ms.Donovan is. This bridal party was hilarious I was eating this up. && this beef with Charlie is crazy & funny. The riskkkk in this book has my anxiety on level 10. This the best dynamic duo there is!!

I love the Finlay Donovan series, and this 4th installment in the series was fantastic. The narrator was great! She did a wonderful job narrating, and I loved all the different voices that she did for everyone, it made it easy to follow along. This is one of my favorite in the series after the first one. The story was great, and hilarious, I always know that with Finlay and Vero, you're in for a wild ride. The antics they get into, leave you laughing but also anxious as to how everything is going to play out. I adore Finlay and Vero's relationship, it makes the books for me! Overall a great audiobook! I thoroughly enjoyed it, it was a great addition to the series!

Thank you NetGalley and Macmillan audio for the ARC!

Once again Finlay and Vero are on a crazy ride trying to get the loan shark off Vero's back, as well as rescue the love of her life, Javi, who has been taken hostage until she pays off her deb. They are off to New Jersey, do all that as well as find the stolen Aston Martin that has been a big part of the previous stories. They were not planning on having Finlay’s ex-husband Steven, her two children, and her mother tagging along, but you know that will add to the humor and the laughs. With people disappearing, a bad cop on their tail, and dead bodies in hotel rooms, will Finlay and Vero get out of this one with their lives, Javi, and the car?

This was another hilarious cozy mystery that had me chuckling and laughing out loud. Once in Atlantic City, Finlay's mother has them running in circles trying to keep her from finding out what they are up to, but also keeping her out of trouble (hilarious scene at a male strip club). When her sister, her girlfriend and Finlay's boyfriend (hot cop) all show up, it gets even more complicated. Between gambling, counting cards, pretending to be someone else, blowing up a chop shop and more, Finlay and Vero find all they need to finally get dirty cop Charlie arrested, but can they get anyone to believe them. They always have something up their sleeves. I loved the antics that her kids got up to, the frustrations of her ex, who finally realizes that juggling life and children is not easy. There is a lot to love about this book and it is just plain fun. I always enjoy visiting with Finlay and Vero and hope there is more to come. The audiobook, narrated by Angela Dawe is well done. I enjoyed the familiar voices of the characters and the enthusiasm of the story telling. I highly recommend this one in any format.

I have loved the Finlay Donovan series from the jump. The first novel in the series, Finlay Donovan is Killing It, was one of my favorite reads the year it was released.

This installment has Finlay and Vero on a "girls trip" to Atlantic City to rescue Javi, get the Aston Martin back, and get rid of Vero's gambling debt - not just one large task, but three. When their weekend trip away gets interrupted by not only her ex and her kids, but also her current flame, her sister, AND her mother...things get a little out of hand.

I affectionately call this series brain-candy. It's not the deepest of reads, and it doesn't take a ton of brain power to follow the story - not that either of those are bad things AT ALL.

I think where this installment falls a bit short is that Finlay and Vero have been through so many wild capers at this point that their capers in Atlantic City feel a little stale/been-there-done-that. It almost feels like there's been a recycling of former scenarios but they're made wilder and crazier and require the reader to suspend just a little too much disbelief for my tastes.

That being said, I'll absolutely read #5 should there be one.

This book re ignited my love for this series. It had everything I loved from the series that I felt I was losing in the last book. I loved the humor and Finlay walking head first into a mess and making poor choices. Vera is forever my favorite character and this book kept with that. The ending will have me lining up for the next book when it comes out.

I've loved all of the previous stories from the Finlay Donovan series! I couldn't wait to listen to this, and it did not disappoint. It was a fun ride, full of twists and turns! I would definitely recommend this to fans for the previous Finlay Donovan stories!

Finlay and Vero are at it again! The 4th installment of their adventure takes them to Atlantic City. What could go wrong? Fans of the series will enjoy this book as much as the previous three. Special thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy of the audiobook in exchange for my honest feedback.

I read "Finlay Donovan Is Killing It," but somehow have missed the two books between that one an Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice. I did not have any issues getting roped into this story, though.

I put this series into the 'brain candy' category of reading. It is something you can enjoy while disengaging your brain for a bit.

Plenty of shenanigans happen with some comedic moments.

Is it great fiction? No.
Are some of the situations a little over the top and unrealistic? Absolutely.
That's what makes it a nice diversion.

I listened to the audiobook version and found it perfect for a few long drives to pick up my son for spring break. After the first few hours, I was hooked and squeezed in some listening time during other parts of my days.

Thanks to NetGalley, Elle Cosimano & MacMillan Audio for the audio ARC of Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice. All opinions are my own.

I’m so sad that this was a disappointment. I loved the series so much and I wanted to enjoy just one more. I think it’s time to put this series away and start something else. I will continue to read her books.
