𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗰𝗲 by Elle Cosimano, read by Angela Dawe, gifted ALC by @macmillan.audio

Finlay Donovan solidified itself as my favorite series after book 2, and getting approved for this ALC (book 4) was like Christmas in March!

The long-suffering Finlay, and her ever trusty and wackadoo sidekick, Vero head to Atlantic City in this latest installment to rescue Javy, Vero’s (even though she denies it) love, and also to pay off Vero’s debt to a loan shark. Of course, things are never simple in Finlay’s world so she’s still dealing with the Russian mob, corrupt police, and worst of all - her ex and her mom who invite themselves on this trip!

One word to describe this book: exhausting! Finlay barely has any time to rest before the next crisis emerges. It continues to be hilarious and adventurous because lord knows it’s always out of the frying pan and into the fire with these two! It has its steamy as ever moments with Nick aka ‘hot cop’ who continues to be hot and a cop, and just so so dreamy. It feels like there’s some closure with the tying up loose ends whether it’s the mob situation or her relationship with Steven, her ex. Finlay really shines here as she decides she’s had enough of being the puppet, and instead pulls all the strings.

Dawe, as usual does a magnificent job voicing these characters with brilliant animation and comedic timing. I’ve no idea how Cosimano comes up with these scenarios but they’re always laugh-out-loud funny🤣 I’m always on the edge of my seat wondering how these two will make it out of any given situation. Finlay and Vero, the two bestest, non-hitwomen friends ever! I love them!

Read this for:
* Shenanigans
* Perfect one-liners/banter/sarcasm
* Sticky toddlers & beloved blankets
* Bizarre family
* Party Weekend-At-Bernie’s style
* Hot cop 🔥🔥🔥
* Weiner dog named Kevin Bacon

Thank you @netgalley & @macmillan.audio for my ALC in exchange for an honest review. 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗰𝗲 is out now!

Thank you NetGalley, Elle Cosimano and Macmillan Audio for this audio arc in exchange for my honest review.

This is the fourth book in the Finlay Donovan series, and it did not disappoint! Book one is still my favorite but I enjoyed this one a lot more than the last two! Even though the situations Finlay and Vero find themselves in is silly, and a lot of times unbelievable, I love how funny and chaotic these books are. I also enjoyed the narrator and thought she did a good job! I kind of expected this to be the last book in the series but with that ending I'm expecting at least one more book to follow!

It wasn't my favorite in the series but it was still a solid 4 star read/listen for me!

Our favorite single mom and her chaotic bestie are back!!!

I binged through this one and this is probably my favorite Finlay book (other than book 1 of course!)
It’s so chaotic, has so much heart, I laughed, I got stressed - just read it! 😂

As always, Finlay and Vero had yet stumbled upon another set of dead bodies at a hotel in Atlantic City! I still have no clue how they’re both still alive tbh 😅

I enjoyed this one! I like seeing all the characters from previous books be together for this fourth installment of the series! I feel like they all have their own personalities to me at this point- and 💯 cheers to the narrator of this book because she did such a good job giving different voices to each individual character! The Finlay series is actually one of my favorite audiobooks of all time!

This is the fourth book in the series, I think it can act as a standalone but it’s definitely better if you’ve read the first three books just to be able to know the different characters better!

I thought this would be the last book in this series but I think there’ll still more to come! Or at least one more book based on that ending 😅

Definitely recommend to my murder mystery lover friends out there!

This just came out last Tuesday, so it’s out already!!

Thank you so much @minotaurbooks for the free copy and thank you @macmillanaudio for the free audiobook!

💭 Do you like casinos?
☕️ I always lose at those slot machines and I never understood how to play the table games - so no for me 😂

I love this book and author! This is one of my favorite series. I would highly recommend starting at the beginning of this series. The book was such fun. I just love Finlay and Vero. They get in to the craziest situations. The story felt like it moved along well, I couldn't put it down. I would highly recommend this author and series. The narrator of this audio book was great, as well.

Finlay Donovan is up to her usual hijinks with Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice! I have been such a fan of Finlay and Vero since the beginning, but I real like we are losing the plot with each book!

Heres what I loved: Finlay and Vero are always finding themselves in some whack situation that they always manage to get out of. They are funny, they are silly, and they are obviously very smart!

Heres what I didn't love: Enough with the mob already? In my opinion, mob stories are so hard to follow. They're all devious dudes who you wouldn't trust, but you've got to pull one over them eventually, and pray that they won't get back at you. (BUT THEY WOULD. BECAUSE THEY ARE THE MOB.) I also found this book a bit hard to follow, as they claim that it happened days after book 3, but it comes out nearly a year later! Let time pass, Ms. Cosimano! It is okay!

As for the audiobook, I didn't mind the narrator! She did a good job, but feel as though there could have been more inflection or excitement when reading. It's a crime book - put some your soul into it!

Over all, I haven't loved the past two in Finlay Donovan. I am hoping we are more on plot in the next one.

I will never give up on this series😂😂
It’s wild and unhinged at times but I’m fully committed, mentally and physically 🤣🤣
I don’t even know how much more messy this series can get
I mean, this one was wild
Like bodies in the bath tub wild.
Hide your kids
Hide your dogs
Hide your husbands too😂😂😂
I’ll just say I’m here for the long haul

I love this series. Was this my favourite book of the four? No, but it also wasn't my least favourite as well. I still like the characters and find the plot unbelievable, but fun. I liked that in this one they were all forced to be together, and I loved Finlay's mother. I also think I would like the series more if I read them back to back because I forget details. I guess that means I need to reread them when the next one comes out because I will definitely be picking it up.

This series has been one of my favorites since book 1. Sadly, this one did not live up to my expectations. I still enjoyed revisiting with these characters and I loved Vero's own romance finally gaining more traction. But I felt that this book didn't have the amount of humor and charm that the other books in the series had.

Another great installment in the Finlay Donovan series! Read primarily via audiobook and really enjoyed that format. Highly recommend this book and series! :)

Author Elle Cosimano's Finlay Donovan series is entertaining, hilarious, and action packed. Yet again, Cosimano delivers in this whirlwind adventure to Atlantic City. From seedy casinos to a sketchy hotel, this "girls trip" with Finlay, Vero, her nanny/partner-in-crime, and her mother is anything but dull.

Fresh off the heels of "Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun" Finlay and Vero are racing against the clock to save Javi. With more crazy antics, lucky breaks, and twisted motives "Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice" is a trip for the ages.

Cosimano's writing is brought to life by narrator Angela Dawe as she hilariously voices Vero and the rest of the characters. I KNOW Vero would not be as funny in my own head as Dawe makes her, making this one of my favorite audiobook series.

Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice is Finlay and Vero's fourth adventure. I loved the first three books, but this fourth book slightly lost my interest. The story's continuation was good, but it didn't grip my attention like the previous books did. This book was a four-star read for me, and the others were all five-star reads.

I have listened to all the audiobooks, and they are well-narrated. Thank you, Macmillan Audio, for this ALC.

I can't even think of a clever intro for this review, I just need to scream and shout that this was an ABSOLUTE BLAST on audio! I would expect nothing less from this series, but I am somehow always so surprised and overjoyed when I finish. Dare I say this is the most fun installment yet??

Finley is up to it again! I love this series. This book didn’t disappoint. If you haven’t read any of these books you should. They are quick reads, funny and have a great romance going as well.

The Finley Donovan series was a random find for me that became an obsession! I told everyone about this book series. Each book including the novella was humorous and intriguing. I couldn’t wait for the next one each time. Love the characters and the humor.

The fourth installment of the Finlay Donovan series takes Finlay, her nanny/bestie/literal partner in crime Vero, and Finlay’s ENTIRE family on a vacation to Atlantic City. If you are familiar with the other books in this series you can expect the same chaos, humor, and mystery (with a sprinkle of murder) that we have grown to love from the Finlay books. If you aren’t familiar with the series, what are you waiting for? For those of you picking up this latest installment, be aware, you will not want to put it down! I was very thankful to have an audiobook courtesy of Macmillan Audio. Angela Dawe’s narration really brought the story to life and allowed me to stay immersed in the story without stopping.
I was especially excited to binge read this over the weekend before going to an event with Elle Cosimano. I loved hearing her talk about the book, the process, and more about this genre-bending series. It was such a fun event hosted by @oldtownbooks - and special shout out to my favorite book event buddy @rachelwritesromance for all the fun.

Thanks to St Martin’s Press, Macmillan Audio, and NetGalley for the advance copy.

Finlay is out here doing the most and I love every bit of it. This is another wonderful addition to the series and I wait wondering what she will be up to next.

Are these books utterly ridiculous? Yes. Highly unbelievable? Absolutely. But what they lack in reality, they make up for in character. If you love these characters, you'll likely love the series, no matter what shenanigans happen.

What I love best about this series are the characters and their relationships. The friendships feel real and expertly crafted. I find that I care deeply about them and want nothing but the best for them.

Several readers complain that Stephan gets too much page time, but for me, it is one of the most realistic parts of the book. Separation/divorce can be messy. It is hard. Finlay can't just drop her kids off and go on an adventure. So, it makes sense that they have to come along. Also, it adds to the story, creating additional obstacles for Finlay and the gang to deal with while being chased by the mob. One of my favorite movies growing up was Adventures in Babysitting, and this series reminds me of that.

I don't want to say much about Rolls the Dice since it is the 4th in a series, but I enjoyed this. I think readers who had issues with "Jumps the Gun" will enjoy this installment a lot more. I am glad it moved locations, and a place like Atlantic City is perfect for this series. I would love to see what would happen if Cosimano sent them on a European vacation where they have to figure out another murder mystery where hilarity ensues.

The audio is fantastic. Angela Dawe IS Finlay.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

3.75 ⭐️

Finlay does it again! While I was somewhat disappointed in the last book, I think this one felt closer to the first in the series. It was fun adding in the aspect of all of the hijinks happening in a new city all while Finlay’s mom is along for the ride. Excited to see where the next book takes us!
