Great audiobook! Good humor as well as actions and adventures! I love this narrator. She reads the story like she's talking.
This story followed Finlay and the nanny Vero. A road trip to Atlantic City to obtain some items that were taken from them. Unexpectedly, the family came with so they have to sneak out at night to work on their investigations. They came close to what they were looking for except unknown to them that they also found something that they least expected inside the hotel room. Finlay's new boyfriend is a police and well after their first time together, he couldn't help but to follow her out of town. Finlay and Vero's extracurricular activities are even harder now with the police watching them closely.
This story has further development on the supporting characters: Vero, Finlay's mom, Finlay's sister, and Finlay's ex. I enjoyed the story.
Thank you Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for the opportunity to listen and review.

I loveeee this series so much! My husband and I have read this entire series together starting with our wedding trip two years ago and it truly is my favorite and can’t get enough of Finlay and Vera!
I love the roller coaster that is the ride with these two and the continued wacky adventures.
Thank you soooo much to the publisher for my ALC in exchange for my honest feedback!

She did it again. This story is fun and her characters are a hoot. The humor in this book is unmatched. Likewise, the narrator is very entertaining. With that ending I have to wonder if there will be a book #5! I hope so! Thanks for letting me read this arc!

A formula that just works: Crazy things happen, people die, money gets stolen, there’s some romance….. yada yada yada…. Somehow I enjoy the craziness every dang time!
This one takes the whole fam on a road trip to Atlantic City. I’m just picturing Cosimano writing and thinking, “what is the absolute most bananas thing I could make happen here???” Then she writes that down.
You just have to let go of reality and enjoy the ride!! 🚘🎲
While many things get wrapped up here, there is definitely a set up for another book, and it seems that grumpy neighbor, Mrs. Haggerty might be taking center stage! Obviously, I can’t wait for more!

Finlay Donovan has always had a place in my heart 🩷
I still remember when I read the first book and had a chance to chat with Elle Cosimano at a book club I was apart of. I have recommended this series to anyone that will listen ever since!
I've said it before and I'll continue to say... if you're looking for a book with a little mystery, some laugh out loud moments, and wholllleee lot of real-ness in the characters, this series is for you!!
I don't want to give any spoilers away to anyone that hasn't read the series but I will say this - the first two books are my favorite and these more recent two are still very good, but not as good as the first. As much as I am not ready to say good-bye to Finlay in the future, I am starting to feel like the content is a bit predictable at times.
Overall I still very much enjoyed this series and this latest book! If you caught my stories then you'll know that I was struggling to get into this book on audio, but then I picked yup a physical copy from the library and I all of a sudden flew through it in under 3 hours... that might be a record? Either way, I needed a bingeable book like this, and need more Finlay and Vero in my life always 💛

This was my first Finlay Donovan story and as this is part of an ongoing series, I will revisit it once I have read the previous Finlay Donovan books, as I did not find it very engaging as a stand-alone novel.
Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Everyone's favorite bumbling amateur/accidental assassins, Finlay and Vero, are back in this fourth installment of Elle Cosimano's Finlay Donovan series. Book four picks up right where Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun left off and sees Finlay and Vero road-tripping it to Atlantic City on a rescue mission...and Finlay's mom, ex-husband Steven, and kids are along for the ride. Don't worry, hot detective Nick shows up too.
Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice is my favorite entry in the series since the first book. It was an excellent choice for Cosimano to take Finlay and Vero out of town on a road trip, allowing for plenty of hi-jinks and misadventures in a new place, which kept the series feeling fresh for me. As I've come to expect from these books, there's lots of action and drama and adventure, a few sexy times, and more than a few outrageous, ridiculous moments to keep things entertaining.
This is a series that should definitely be read in order, as the plot and characters become more intricate with each subsequent book -- but I do feel like Cosimano did a better job of catching readers up on important plot elements than she did in the previous books.
There are echoes of Lucy and Ethel and Stephanie and Lula in Finlay and Vero's relationship, but their friendship is still entirely its own unique, wonderful thing. I've grown pretty attached to them, as well as to the cast of zany supporting characters. And on that note, the only thing missing from Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice for me was Mrs. Haggerty -- but it seems like that may be changing in book five, and I can't wait.

Finlay Donovan is back and better than ever! I didn’t realize how much I have missed all of these characters and their hijinks. I laughed out loud multiple times and even gasped a few times.
Finlay’s latest adventure is the best one yet .

Good addition to the series, however it gets a little too “mad cap” in the last couple of chapters. The desire to wrap everything up in an over the top way is unnecessary and takes away from the rest of the story.

I binged the first three books in about two and a half weeks. I joined netgalley just in case I could get approved to listen to number 4 early. I’m so glad I was! This is my favorite series and the narrator totally nails the snark of Finlay and Vero. This been has even more hilarious chaos than the others. Can’t wait for the next one!
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest review.

Received my audio copy of this book from Netgalley! Really enjoyed this one. Picks up right where book 3 left off as Finlay & Vera try to get themselves out of trouble that keeps finding them. Love this series for its way of weaving humor and lightness into a bigger murder mystery. Not quite cozy mysteries but definitely not as intense as your typical pysch/crime thriller.

Always love a new book in this series, and Finlay Donovan did not disappoint! This may be my favorite book yet and can't wait for Finlay and Vero's next adventure. Laughed a lot and enjoyed every minute of this read. Thank you NetGalley and McMillan audio foe the ARC of this book.

I honestly loved the first and second books in this series, but I feel like they’re getting a little too focused on the cheesy and not enough on the plot.

Buckle up for book #4 of Finlay and Vero’s wild adventures!!! Finlay Donovan Rolls The Dice by Elle Cosimano is the crazy and outlandish continuation of Finlay Donovan series (yes- you just read these in order to get the full effect and / or have any clue what is going on). These are fun books but absolutely ridiculous at the same time! Makes for a great listen when doing mundane mom chores. 😉
Thank you to the author, Macmillan Audio, and NetGalley for the advanced audiobook on exchange for an honest review.

Vero's friend Javi is trying get rid of the Aston Martin for Vero so she can pay off the loan shark who is after her. Only problem is it appears that Javi and the Aston Martin may have both been taken. Finlay and Vero plan to go to Atlantic City to look for Javi, but end up with Finlay's ex husband, kids, and Finlay's mom tagging along...oh and her sister and three other cops as well (including her hot cop friend Nick). Finlay and Vero now must juggle finding Javi, dealing with the loan shark (who they end up discovering was murdered), as well as trying to prevent the cops from finding the missing person, Ike, they are searching for and who Finlay and Vero know is already dead. Will Finlay be able to hold up the ruse that they are just there for a girls weekend while also solving all of her mysteries and rescuing Javi? Another great addition to the Finlay Donovan series. Can't wait for the next book in the series.
I received an eALC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

I am a huge fan of the Finlay Donovan series and the latest installment did not disappoint. Finlay and the whole crew head to Atlantic City where hijinks ensue. Rolls the Dice reads like a caper comedy with ridiculous situations and laugh out loud lines. I cannot get enough of this series!
Thanks to NetGalley for the advance audio. I love listening to these!

I have loved every book in Elle Cosimano’s Finlay Donovan series, and I think her latest, Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice, might actually be my new favorite in the series.
It wouldn’t be a Finlay Donovan book if Finlay and Vero, her nanny/partner in crime, weren’t up to their ears in trouble and this time the trouble they’re in has them taking a road trip to Atlantic City. They tell Finlay’s family that it’s a much needed girls’ getaway, but in reality, they are actually attempting to negotiate a deal with a dangerous loan shark, rescue Javi, Vero’s childhood crush who has been abducted, and find a stolen car. When both Finlay’s jealous ex-husband Steven and her mother insist they are coming on the trip too, things just go from bad to worse and Finlay and Vero have their work cut out for them. Needless to say, shenanigans ensue!
I really enjoyed this one! The road trip from hell was hilarious and had me laughing out loud several times. There were also plenty of twists and turns as Finlay and Vero try to accomplish what they set out to do, and I always love that these books have almost a cozy mystery vibe even though they’re also pretty action packed and Finlay and Vero are almost always dealing with shady characters, usually mobsters. I also really enjoyed seeing just how much Vero cares about Javi. I felt like that was a side of her I hadn’t seen before in the earlier books.
I don’t want to give anything away, but if you’re looking for a fun book to dive into, I highly recommend this one. The audiobook for Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice is an especially good time as Angela Dawe wonderfully captures all of the humor in the book.

Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice by Elle Cosimano is a good time! Think The Hangover movie but cozy mystery style. I love the characters, plot points, wacky situations and humor. The narrator contributes to the awesomeness that is the characters. I laughed out loud many times while reading this book. This series is an autobuy for me.

Honestly I requested this book by mistake and I had not read the other books. There was a lot of connections I’m sure I am not able to discern. Given that, I am trying not to give a review based on that matter and still give the book a try.
I really love thrillers, murder mystery type of books and this one was on a much lighter note which I honestly do appreciate. I do love the small rid bit laughs to lighten up the story. It kinda reminds me of a murder mystery comedy in that sense. There was a lot of dynamics and characters that came together to create the story line which I love when a story is told, again sometimes confusing but being that I don’t know much history, I can somewhat imagine.
With that said, I will definitely go and read the first 3 and more than likely return to this one. There wasn’t a moment that I did not enjoy and based on the ending, I will continue on in the story.

Elle Cosimano has done it again! This latest installment of Finlay Donovan is another fantastic page turner. I have really enjoyed every single book in this unbelievable series. Each novel seems to hook me even further into the story.
Finlay and Vero have yet more mysteries and murders thrown their way in this four installment. Whether things turn out the way they hope may only be a Roll of the Dice.
The narration is done really well. I love how Angela Dawe presents this story in such an enjoyable yet show stoping way. This book will have you on the edge, never knowing how things are going to turn out next.
The audio has a really good flow. I think both the author and the narrator do a fantastic job at bringing the story and characters to life. I really enjoyed the humor in these novels and am looking forward to reading more from Cosimano in the future.
Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the ARC audio of this book.
