How to Win Friends and Influence Fungi just wasn't the book for me. I DNFed early on. The format didn't work for me.

This was an enjoyable audio book to listen to on the way to and from work every day. The chapters were short enough, and I really liked the variety of topics covered. The information in the book was easy to understand and follow, even for those of us who are not very "science-y." I will definitely be recommending this one to our patrons! Thank you to Net Galley, the publisher and author for an advance copy of this book.

Up until this book, I had never heard of Nerd Nite, but I definitely looked them up after finishing this. This book contains categorized science-y short essays by a variety of researchers, doctors, and professionals. Everything from weird things veterinarians have seen dogs throw up to the secret sex lives of spiders to microscopic wonders. Some topics I enjoyed more than others, and some are great intros to further research and speculation while others require prior knowledge. Overall, a fun read!

Humorous, Engaging, and Informative, this is a great intro to nerdy things.

Thanks to the publisher for a complimentary copy and to Netgalley for an ALC.

My addiction to audiobooks prevents me from pursuing podcasts much, so this was a win/win for me. An audiobook based on a podcast! The very short chapters are just enough science for me and if one topic was not of much interest, it was on to the next one very soon. Also - great title!
