Thank you to NetGalley & St Martin's Griffith for this outstanding ARC.
From the very first pages when our protagonist quite literally falls through the rotting floor into his very cute, very grumpy neighbor's bed--I was hooked. It's an incredible M/M romance with enemies to lovers, one bed (ala Flatshare, one of my other favorite romance novels), incredible banter & also working through real world stuff. One of our characters is a nurse and the other is a software engineer/handyman. This book gives a great portrayal of ADHD & is the only book I've ever read that tackles healthcare workplace violence from patients. This book was the perfect blend of sweet & spicy for me. My only qualm is that the two characters names "Dylan & Derek" were too similar. I could NOT keep them straight. Other than that, highly recommend this new release!
P.S. I'm sorry you can't read this until September. But go put your pre-order in or do what I'm going to do and go read Andi Burke's backlist book "Fly With Me." Can't wait to see what Andi Burke does next-- does their evil neighbor get a book, making her have an incredible redemption arc? Is it another of the Gallagher brothers? Or the most plausible of the options--I'm hoping Joni gets a book.
god this was such an emotional slow burn. I loved the way they learned to trust each other and open up. I wholeheartedly enjoyed this.
I liked this book. I found it to be a good romance and I think the character's dynamic was run to read about. I am always in the mood for a good romance and this was one that was nice
The cover was cute and I was really excited to dive in and give this a read. The premise sounded like fun, but the contents were written in a very clunky and hard to grasp way. It was as if my brain had a hard time comprehending the writing style, and I found myself rereading sentences to try and make more sense of them, only to find that they were just structured so poorly that it read badly. I really would've loved to be able to give this book more stars had the writing style been something I could look past.
This book was so entertaining. I was drawn into the story from the beginning and was involved until the end. The characters were complex and interesting. I found the story to be well paced and I was invested in the couple throughout the book. If you want an entertaining and well written love story this is it for you.
A special thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Publishing Group for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
