Another intense story to add to the Bourne series. Brian Freeman keeps you intrigued and riveted with the twists and turns wrapped around the characters. New characters and story lines added to continue the Bourne saga going forward. Action packed with the usual Jason Bourne dilemmas, truly a wonderful book to enjoy.
Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the ARC to this book in exchange for an honest review.
There is no doubt that Brian Freeman is the best post-Ludlum Jason Bourne storyteller. The last one and this one written by Mr. Freeman have been fantastic. The action is non-stop while also exploring the more human elements of Bourne, which sets him apart from other Treadstone agents. This book also sets up where the stories are going to go from here so I greatly look forward to the next chapter. 5-stars!!!
Jason Bourne is back with an even deeper dive into his past, unraveling how Bourne came to be more than we’ve ever explored before. Brian Freeman packs the narrative with awesome action sequences that show both Bourne’s prowess as well as his vulnerabilities for a more believable knack. As Bourne steps into his first ever mission as a Treadstone operative, he may not want to remember what he forgot.

The Bourne Shadow is another excellent entry in the Jason Bourne series as carried on in recent novels by Brian Freeman.
What any reader wants from a Bourne adventure, a face paced page turner of a story, Freeman delivers. With Lennon, the adversary from previous entries in the series, out of the picture, Freeman begins what is likely another series that will continue in further novels.
In this one Jason Bourne slowly recalls events that occurred before he lost his memory, including a love affair with Monika which prompts him to accept the assistance of her younger sister, to locate. Difficulties include a European group who hope to finally unleash their political racist filled agenda.
All of these elements produce a fast paced fulfilling adventure, something that will not surprise anyone who reads Freeman’s Bourne books. This latest novel is a great way to enter the continuing and still unfolding world of Jason Bourne!
Lies, lies, and more lies. It's gotten so that you can't trust anyone in the spy business, even those on your own team. Author Brian Freeman has a field day in The Bourne Shadow with all of this duplicity. Athough I thought that the novel lags toward the middle, Freeman does the last pages with the talent of a pro.
Enjoy the Bourne Shadow, just don't trust anyone!
Thanks Net Galley for the ARC.
Brian Freeman once more delivers a Bourne novel that explores the character, with a nice dose of tension and mystery. Freeman has carved out an enjoyable space for this character, and his continued adventures are conceived well.
