Oh my marbles, I absolutely loved this story. It had the humor that made me smile, and roosters named after star wars characters. The attraction and chemistry between Trixie and Chris had me swooning, I couldn't get enough of those two together. They are such great friends and they are the cutest lovers, I was giddy when their relationship was developing. I also love the representation of fatpobia coming to the light in this book, it broke my heart but I mentally held her hand when she stood up and took her space. And it gets spicy here, in the bedroom and the locker room, through out the story I was cheering for her but also for him, he's always loved her and having both of their POV was everything.

This was a fun one. Pretty low stakes, good humor. Overall enjoyable, and the narrators did a great job!

This was my first Amy Award's book, and won't be my last. This is the first book in The Cocky Kingmans Series, a Sports romance. Chris and Trixie's story is fun, sweet, and engaging. This is a great friends to lovers romance. Stella Hunter and Christian Fox did an excellent job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it. This book was popping up on my TikTok feed and I was curious enough to check it out. Very quickly, I realized this book was not for me. I don't care for books where the male lead is too horny for the female lead and that's what this book was giving. I am also a person who will read smut books but they have to have a bit of plot to move it along or else I will get bored. I think this could have worked for me if some details were changed.

I picked this one based on the title. I thought it was hilarious and seeing that it was a quick audiobook, I figured I would go for it. I liked that it had a sports romance element to it as well, so it was an easy sell.

I found this book to be very amusing. It didn’t have much in terms of substance but I spent a lot of the time I was listening laughing out loud.

I always like dual narration, and Stella is one of my favorite female narrators. She did a great job with Christian portraying the two main characters.

This was such a fun read! I was laughing all the way through. And the steamy scenes were HOT! Very excited to read more from this author in the future! The narration was great as well!

I absolutely LOVED this. It was fun and full of delightful puns that had me cackling while I worked away at my desk. The narrators captured Trixie x Chris perfectly in tone, emotion, and character depth. I couldn't stop listening. I also loved the strong family ties, fat representation, and Colorado references. As a sports romance, it's a bit light on it, which I enjoyed at a lot!

Since listening to this first book in series, I picked up the second one and AHHHH it's ALSO REALLY GOOD! I can't wait to read more of the Cocky Kingmans and the plus size women they love.

A short and spicy semi sports romance.

While not particularly memorable, I still had a good time reading this book. We get a friends to lovers arc, though they're both secretly pining for each other, that is resolved rather quickly.

Spice scenes were well written and not too over the top.

Unfortunately, a lot of the dialogue felt forced and these 20-somethings were acting like teenagers, leading to some pretty cringey moments.

I was so happy to find a new to me author in Amy Award, and absolutely devoured this friends-to-lovers sports romance. Love seeing a plus sized rep featured too! I listened to the audio format and loved the narration.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I felt like I was looking at myself 20 years ago. I was a tween librarian in Colorado who is fat. Didn’t have the football playing best friend but that just made this all that much better. I love that this book centered around a fat girl. Not a curvy girl, a fat girl. And that romance and sex were completely allowed and rejoiced. This book is pretty gosh darn predictable. Based on tropes and the way you expect a romance to happen, it’s all right there. However, what was nice is when the event that everybody knows is coming happens, it’s the way they deal with it. The way they say I’m not apologizing. The way of taking a stand against the harsh criticisms of others. I loved everything about this book and I’m glad it’s a series. Can’t wait for the next one.

I came for the title and stayed for the plot! This was such a fun read. Mostly it was silly but I really did love the story and am so glad I read it!

Ok, this was adorable. I loved how quick the audio was and I loved the whole big family vibes (lots more brother books 😉). There is quite a bit of fatphobia and bullying but the author addresses it in a really good way. I definitely want to read more in this series.

This book was pretty priceless. The narrators sucked you in and made you feel like you were there friend. The chickens names... chef's kiss.

Chris and Trixie have been friends forever going to school and living close to each other. Starting in high school they had secret crushes on each other but he knows he's in the friend zone since she turned him down in high school. She doesn;t remember this and she just knows thats the only way he sees her.

Fast forward to present day they are neighbors and close friends and when she needs help with mean girls for her reunion so they decide to fake date and go on fake dates to get more comfortable pretending. Well as you can guess Chris finally shoots his shot and tells her how he feels (among other things)

And in any fake dating turning real you can guess things take a wild ride. From rumors to a sex tape.

It was a cute read. Some of the sexy times was a little far fetch for me. Especially locker room traditions. That was a bit odd.

Do I wanna read the other books in the series of course.
Plus the play on words with the titles and covers are great!!

I have to admit I picked this book solely for the title and I’m so glad I did!!! It had some of my all time favorite tropes like friends to lovers, fake dating and he falls first, it was also very sex and body positive which is rare to find even in books that feature plus size characters.
It had some stuff that were a little cringy so that’s the only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars but I truly loved it and I cannot wait to read the story of all the other siblings
