I received an ARC of this book by net galley. I really enjoy Harlan Coben books, but Myron and Win are my favorites. It starts out with them thinking Greg Downing is dead, until his DNA shows up at a murder scene. So Myron and Win have to prove his innocence or guilt. It is fun following along on their investigation.

I've never read a bad book by Harlan Coben. I don't think he's capable of writing a thriller that doesn't grab the reader and leave them out of breath. Think Twice is no different. There are numerous twists and turns, and 'oh no, this can't be happening' moments in this book like all his others. The first time I was aware of Coben was in 2002 when I came across his book "Tell No One". I began reading it - - and couldn't stop until I was finished with it at 3:30 in the morning. I think I've read and loved every book since then and loaned them out to so many people who still thank me for turning them on to Coben.

'Think Twice' is one of the popular series featuring Myron Bollitar and Win Lockwood. These books are always entertaining and feel like catching up with old friends. I won't give spoilers - Coben's books should be discovered by the reader. Just be prepared for a few heart-in-the-throat moments, some laughter, and some tears.

This is my second Harlan Coben read and my first in this 12 book series. I was nervous going in because this was part of a series but I didn’t have any trouble reading this as a standalone.

The plot was unique and well written. The POV from the serial killer was some of my favorite chapters. Once the story gets going it is non stop until the end. There were twists I didn’t see coming and I loved the reveal.

I enjoyed the main character Myron so much I plan to read the other books in the series.

Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC.

Oh wow. I absolutely love Harlan Coben and I really enjoy his books. however, I've never read one book in the Myron Bolitar series, but I absolutely want to go back and read from the first book of the series!
Myron Bolitar is a former basketball star who has restarted his agency for sports stars and celebrities. Myron is approached by two federal agents to discuss high publicized murders of The Callisters. However, there's more to the visit. Greg Downings DNA has been found at the scene of not one, but two murders. Problem? Greg Downing, one of Myron's former clients, is believed to be dead. Greg Downing died 3 years ago, so how is his DNA at the scene of two crimes?

Myron is joined by his long time friend, Windsor Lockwood III to solve this mystery. This book is full of twists, turns and surprises. Lots of secrets are revealed and the past comes back to haunt Myron. I definitely recommend this book!!

He’’s back!

After a lengthy hiatus, Myron Bolitar has returned to his business as a sports agent and sleuth, all in the same time and place. A big hit for Coban for eleven books before this one, Bolitar and Coban were on top of the thriller world for some time. A star basketball player whose career was destroyed in his first pro game, Bolitar made himself into an agent who watched over his superclients closely, and solved many a fascinating crime when things went awry. Coban created a series with an engaging protagonist, a fast pace, and intricate plots which keep the reader guessing right up to the end.

And then he moved to New Jersey. He retired Myron, and started writing books that were even bigger successes, suburban mysteries made into Netflix series, for heaven’s sake.

But—he’s back. Before Myron can even settle into his palatial office owned by his Batman-like bro Win, the FBI has wrenched him into a mystery and his past. They want to know where one of his first clients, nemesis, and father to his son(Coban explains carefully), is—he’s wanted for murder. The problem is—the guy is dead.

At least, he was declared dead years ago. Now, Myron and Win set off to find out if he’s alive, and could he have committed the two murders ? Or are there other murders linked to the first two? Were they the first two? Coban makes it all feasible and fun along the way, as witty a narrative as there is In modern mysteries. It’s a pleasure to be back in the hands of a master, knowing that the killer(who gets his own font in alternating chapters)will surprise at the end.

As a fervent follower of Coben's captivating crime novels, I eagerly delved into his latest offering, drawn in once again by his knack for weaving tantalizing tales. The dynamic duo of Win and Myron never fails to captivate, and in this installment, their intricate relationship takes center stage once more. Coben expertly crafts their partnership, infusing it with humor, depth, and a palpable sense of camaraderie that readers have come to cherish. Against the backdrop of a gripping hunt for a serial killer, their bond shines brightly, anchoring the narrative and keeping readers thoroughly engaged. Yet, as much as I adore the characters and their ongoing development, I can't help but feel that the storyline sometimes takes a backseat. While the plot is undeniably compelling, it often feels like a vehicle for showcasing the evolution of Win and Myron rather than standing as the main attraction itself. Nonetheless, with Coben at the helm, this book remains a winner, offering another thrilling chapter in the Bolitar series that fans won't want to miss.

I would like to express my gratitude to Grand Central Publishing and NetGalley for allowing me to read this eARC in exchange for an honest review.

THINK TWICE is Harlan Coben’s long awaited return to the world of Myron Bolitar (and Win Lockwood) after a few years of writing standalone thrillers. Myron is getting back to the sports agency business, and with the paint not dry on the door, two FBI agents appear in his office looking for one of his former clients. Former, because he is dead. Maybe. The FBI doesn’t seem to think so, and they are demanding to see him. But Myron and Win have no idea where he is or what is going on.
Greg Downing, the man in question, was/is the husband of Emily and father to Jeremy. And we all know whose father Jeremy is. The feds have DNA at not one, but two murder scenes that match Gregs. As Myron and Win look into things they find more murders and maybe Greg. Great story, and so good to be back in Myron’s world.

Myron Bolitar's former basketball advisary and client Greg has been dead for three years so why are two very cranky FBI agents in his office asking Myron where Greg is? The agents say there is evidence Greg was at the scene of a double murder just a few weeks ago. With the help of his friend Win, Myron sets off to find out the truth if Greg is alive or dead, and why there is evidence of him at the recent murder. The more information they find the more secrets they discover and the more disturbing things become, and the more their lives also become in danger. Some people may not survive what is found.

4.5 stars. I love this series and this installment is no exception. I love seeing how Myron and Win age and how that impacts their lives. The mystery at the heart of the story is strong as well.

This is the book that all Myron and Win fans have been waiting for and I get that now - if I’d have read them, I’m sure this would have been a 5⭐️
As I’d never read a Myron Bolitar mystery before, I was hoping this would work well as a standalone

The FBI question Bolitar demanding to know where Greg Downing is. His DNA has been found at a murder, but Greg is dead.

Bestie Win uses his private jet and influence to get Bolitar the help he needs in tracking down the maybe-not-dead Greg

Unbeknownst to all, a serial killer is planning murders and framing innocents

The set up felt backstory led and the action continued to introduce old friends that had been featured in previous books. It wasn’t hard to follow but I did feel a whole lotta FOMO

There’s a lot of sports ball talk and I hate sports ball, so that kinda got in my way a little!

However, as the story progressed I got more familiar with the characters and especially loved Myron’s parents. Actually they reminded me of everyone’s Jewish grandparents I know and I just adored them

Speaking of characters, there’s a lot, so I really had to rely on my notes!

I loved the serial killer aspect of the book and thought it was cleverly woven in amongst the backstory, and characters from previous books

I really liked the use of the multiple POV…. It’s so commonly used now, but this kinda shook me up a little - impressive

I loved the twisty twist…. Really didn’t think I would - like I couldn’t imagine I’d really care but I did! I really did!

Final verdict, yes it worked as a standalone but I really wish I’d have read the previous books. I’m going to be recommending this series to everyone - such heart, and action - so good….

In "Think Twice" by Harlan Coben, readers are once again thrust into a world of secrets, lies, and dangerous conspiracies that will keep them on the edge of their seats from beginning to end. The story centers around Myron Bolitar, a sports agent who finds himself thrust back into a past he thought he had left behind when federal agents inform him that his former client, basketball coach Greg Downing, who was presumed dead, is actually alive and wanted for murder. Shocked and bewildered, Myron with Win's help sets out to uncover the truth behind Greg's disappearance and the allegations against him.

What follows is a pulse-pounding race against time as Myron and his enigmatic friend Win delve deeper into the mystery surrounding Greg's sudden reappearance. Coben masterfully ratchets up the tension with each twist and turn, keeping readers guessing until the very end. The pacing is relentless, with short, punchy chapters that propel the story forward at breakneck speed.

I want to thank #NetGalley and #Grand Central Publishing for the digital advanced reader copy of the book for my honest review.

Myron Bolitar has restarted his agency for sports stars and celebrities, teaming up with his attorney friend Windsor Horne Lockwood III (Win). Federal agents arrive, telling Myron that his former client Greg Downing’s DNA has been found at the scene of a murder. But there’s just one problem, Greg died three years ago. Or is he still alive? Myron and Win start investigating and find that there are similar puzzling cases in other areas. Could there be a serial killer out there and if so, is Myron in danger?

I am a Harlan Coben fan and was excited to get this book! However, I have to admit I did not read any of the Myron Bolitar series before this one. That said, this book did read great as a standalone. Coben provides all the background needed to understand the story. I really enjoyed the dynamics between Myron and Win as they solved the case. I did not see the twist coming at all! I enjoyed this book so much that I am off to read the others in the Myron Bolitar series. I highly recommend this book to anyone that enjoys thrillers! I give it 4/5 stars.

Finding out that a client they thought was dead is not, sends Myron and Win on a quest into the past. The client, thought to be a murder suspect even after his own death is front and center in this latest installment of the Myron Bolitar series. Also front and center is the illegitimate son that Myron has who was raised by another man, he also is part of the plot, his involvement in the story mysterious until it all comes together at the end. I enjoyed this book as I do all Harlan Coben's books but found it harder to keep up with the people and events. Myron and Win didn't seem as real or as interesting to me as they had in the past, and the author has appropriately aged them in this book, making them less super heroes than in the past. Still, it is an enjoyable read and Win in particular is one of my favorites in the fictional character world. Thanks to #NetGalley#ThinkTwice#Harlan Coben for the opportunity to read and review this book.

I love a good suspense novel and this one did not disappoint! It kept you guessing right from the beginning.

Myron Bolitar and Win Lockwood are back in the book Think Twice by Harlan Coben - who happens to be one of my favorite authors ever.

The book begins with not only a murder but also with the murderer taking careful steps to set someone else up for the fall. Who is doing the killing? We don’t find that out until the end (and it is a surprise!).

What we do know is that Myron gets involved because his client, Greg, is being framed. But the thing is - his client is dead. Myron, himself, delivered the eulogy 2 years ago - long before the crime occurred.

As the story progresses, more bodies start to pile up, and we learn that Myron and Greg have a more involved past than just an attorney/client relationship.

There are so many twists, turns and more things that you just don’t see coming. Yet, despite the involved story line, Harlan Coben does a great job of tying up all the loose ends at the end - so you are not left hanging.

What I really like about Think Twice is that we learn a lot more about Myron Bolitar’s personal life. If you have been reading the Myron Bolitar series over the years, you will also realize that these old friends of ours - Myron and Win - are themselves getting older.

Think Twice will keep you turning the pages deep into the night not only to find out whodunit but also for the nostalgia and connection that you will make with the main characters.

Thank you to NetGalley and Grand Central Publishing for providing me an advance copy of Think Twice to preview.

The whole gang is back to figure out why the FBI has linked one of Myron’s clients, who died three years ago, to a recent murder case. Myron and Win stir up the past as well as concerns that a serial killer is at work.

Delving into Myron and Win’s world is always a pleasure especially when superb secondary characters such as Hester Crimstine, Big Cyndi, Esperanza, and Myron’s parents are part of the mix. The reader is privy to the inner workings of Myron’s relationship with his wife Terese.

This case involves Greg Downing, who has a complex personal history with Myron, which adds to the tension and increases the stakes. In this installment, Myron is focused on aging, seeing his parents’ health issues and changes in himself and best friend Win. Nevertheless there’s plenty of humor, often in the form of pithy dialogue and through characterization, such as Big Cyndi’s Bat Girl obsession. Myron mentions that Big Cyndi always “goes hard,” and I am absolutely here for it because she is an iconic character with a ton of heart.

In addition to narration by Myron and Win, the story gives a disturbing peek into the killer’s perspective using second person point of view.

One of my favorite parts of the book is how the secondary characters, concerned about the history between Greg and Myron, rally around Myron. Win is his devious and fiercely loyal best making moves to protect Myron. I’m hoping that Coben pens another book soon that focuses on Win.

As usual Coben provides a wonderful ride, and spending time in Myron and Win’s wild world is always a treat.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this arc. As always, Harlan Coben gets you intrigued, makes you laugh at the sarcasm, and makes you worried he will get killed. But we always know he and Win will work as hard as they can for justice and the truth. Loved this and will always read Mr. Coben's books.

Harlan Coben has been an author I've wanted to read for a while but just never got to. I wanted to read his books after watching the Netflix series, The Stranger. (so good!) Thanks to #netgalley and @grandcentralpub, I was given the chance to read the advanced reader copy of Think Twice. I went into it completely blind and not long after someone told me they've "never read a Harlan Coben book that wasn't gripping all the way through." What a perfect description of this book. By going in blind I had no idea this was the 12th book containing the main characters, Myron and Win. That didn't stop my interest or my understanding of the book, so I assume that most of that series can be read as standalones.

I absolutely loved the way this book was written. I don't know that I've ever seen such witty humor and banter in a thriller before. Myron and Win had me cracking up all throughout the book. Of course, I thought I had the ending pegged, and of course, I was dead wrong. This may have been my first @harlancoben book, but it will not be my last!

Harlan Coben is a master and the tension in Think Twice just keeps getting thicker with every page. Again we have our favorites all in attendance, Myron, Win, Big Cindy and Esperanza. But, this time also Myron's biological son as well as some people from the past.
In Think Twice, the book almost begins with a Sandford vibe, We are witness to a very diabolical serial killer who frames others for his murders.
Then with a blast from the past the FBI come and see Myron and Win asking where an old deceased nemesis, Greg Downing is. Well, dead right? But his DNA is at a current murder scene.
Thus begins a wild rife for Myron and Win. Especially when you consider the history between Greg and Myron, history in basketball, women and a son. This is a wild ride in which Coben masterfully weaves the story and complexities involved where you are never really sure who is the good or who is lying. The only thing we know for sure is that Myron and Win are as awesome as ever.
