Wow. Coben does it again. It has to be studied how he writes an entire incredible novel every single time. I had so many theories along these twisty pages, but never once did I guess it correctly. I am in complete shock and awe by the ending. Upset, heartbroken, impressed, heart warmed…all of the above.

This story could have easily been too hard to follow with as many characters and connections as it had, but somehow it flowed incredibly well.

This is the 12th book in the Myron Boliter series, and all I can say is "wow!" I was so happy to reunite with Myron, Win, Esperanza, Big Cindy and all the other on going characters in these books. It's been a long time. The dialogue between Myron and Win is always a joy to read, their easy back and forth and their way of knowing exactly what each other is thinking. And the way they feel about each other...what can I say? The plot was interesting...what was the DNA of a person who has been dead for several years doing at the scene of a murder? Harlan Coben has another winner on his hands.

My thanks to NetGalley for making an eARC of this book available to me.

What a joy to find that Myron and Win are back. This one has lots of twists and turns and keeps us guessing who the killer is until the very end, plus it includes pretty much the entire regular supporting cast from the previous books. While I've enjoyed the standalone books by Coben that I've read, it's the Myron and Win books that I crave, and this one has helped to assuage that need. Here's hoping that we see more in the future.

You just can’t go wrong with Harlan Coben and his Myron Bolitar series. The greatest thing about Think Twice is that it was like visiting an old friend in Myron. I felt like I was back on the case with him. I enjoy Myron, his flaws, his humanity, his spirit. This was simply another great read by Harlan Coben. I am anxiously awaiting the next book!

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with the opportunity to read and review this book.

We have been waiting 8 years for Harlan Coben’s character Myron Bolitar to come back! In Coben’s latest novel, Think Twice, Coben returns us to the adventures of Myron and Win (Myron’s best friend and sidekick), leaving the stand alone novels that Coben has become famous for writing. Such a treat!

Three years ago Myron, who is still a sports attorney / agent for athletes, gave the eulogy at the funeral of a friend and client who now has apparently left DNA at the scene of a double homicide. Of course, Myron and Win involve themselves in investigating the crimes — which only leads them further into trouble as they find a possible fake death and other missing people close to that client. So many past secrets and conspiracies — or not?? This type of quick witted and complex story line is just what Harlan Coben does best.

I love to witness Myron and Win older and wiser (and yes, less sexist on Win’s part) as they try to problem solve with less physical violence and more cunning and smarts. Myron was 31 when we met him in the first series novel, Deal Breaker, in 1995, and we haven’t been offered a Myron Bolitar novel since 2016’s Home. So while I don’t think Coben has written the character as aging in real time (Myron would be 60!), we do get to catch back up with Myron in his late 40’s, married and settled past all the turmoil of his younger life.

The Myron Bolitar Series of 12 books has won the Edgar, the Shamus, the Anthony and a RBA Prize for Crime Writing. This has always been one of my favorite series for its excellent mystery prose, sense of humor and thrilling plot lines. I recently went back and read some of the older novels in the series and was a bit put off by the outdated stance of characters, especially Win. But now even Win has mellowed and grown with age — that has been a joy to read.

I read all of the stand alones that Coben writes and love them — but it was with even greater pleasure that I was allowed back into the lives of Myron and Win again. Especially after such a long wait.

My rating: 5 of 5

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for this eARC.
When I requested this novel for review I did not realize this was one of Coben's "Win" books. With Win's connection to Bolitar I should have realized it, however it has been some time since I have read a Coben book and in the intervening time I forgot that Win (a vainglorious self-centered wealthy man) was annoying in his flawless self-confidence.

Don't get me wrong, Coben writes excellent mystery, however if I was reviewing a Coben book that did NOT feature that Win character, the. I could readily rate the book 5 stars, knocking one star off as I do not find much to like about "Win" he reminds me of a self-important rich frat boy...

Think Twice by Harlan Coben is a good addition to this series. It's good to see characters back at their old tricks and banter. The book can be read as a standalone as the author does a good job of bringing in enough backstory to keep the reader informed.

The story takes the reader on a fun and wild ride with good drama and twists. I would recommend this book and this author.

The latest installation of Myron, Win, Esperanza, Big Cindy, et. al. It was an enjoyable, suspenseful, well-written mystery with some unexpected twists and turns.

If you love Myron and Win, I recommend this one! Harlan Coben is one of my favorite authors and this book did not disappoint.

Thanks to Net Galley and Grand Central Publishing for this digital ARC!

I was practically giddy when the latest Harlan Coben Myron Bolitar book dropped onto my Netgalley “approved” shelf--I think I’ve read everything Coben has written and the Bolitar series is my favorite. “Think Twice” didn’t disappoint, though I do have enough reservations to limit my star rating to 4.

True to the series, the story revolves around a baffling, twisty mystery that very quickly gets very personal for Myron, but we know that he’ll figure it all out with the aid of his trusty pals Win, Big Cyndi, and Esperanza.

But a few things held me back from that elusive 5th star: a.) the characters lacked their typical depth and unique voices; b.) Myron seemed flat, as if getting the girl, the money, the reputation, and saving his nephew left him very tired; c.) the talk of Win getting old and suffering the consequences of his drinking and insomnia never really went anywhere, he was still ahead of the action and almost comic-book superhero-y, so why go there? and d.) bringing the full ensemble together, plus the way the book ended, almost felt like a send-off and I’m not ready for Myron and Win to retire!

Than you to Grand Central Publishing and Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Myron Bolitar finds himself enmeshed in an investigation once again. Greg, his client, friend and deceased friend has seemingly left his DNA at a murder scene. Myron and Win (his uber wealthy, uber everything cohort) spring into action. Myron, out of a sense of loyalty to a friend and Win, out of a sense of justice, search for clues to see if Greg could possibly still be alive.

We also hear from the killer in some interspersed chapters. It kind of gets us into the head of a killer during the murder.

This book chronicles the circuitous route that Myron and Win (as backup) take to follow the clues. Without giving any spoilers, it's hard to say much more. But, Myron and Win stick with it through good and bad (and there is always bad).

In my opinion, this is Coben's best Bolitar book yet - I highly recommend that you pick it up and read it, even if you haven't read any of the other ones.

I was given this ARC by NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed this who-done-it. Myron and Win were owners of a sports PR firm. And Myron was an attorney. Myron had been a professional basketball player along with his friend Greg, who went on to become a pro basketball coach. Greg was their client. Murders were happening and people were being set up to take the fall.

Greg had managed to fall off the face of the earth and was presumed dead. At one point a woman and her son ended up murdered and Greg's DNA was found at the scene. That told Myron and Win that Greg was not dead. So Myron set out to find him, and find him he did. The FBI were also looking for him and they followed Myron to Greg's farm were they arrested him.

The FBI concluded that a serial killer had committed the murders. Greg was eventually exonerated. Finally, the killer decided to go after Myron.

Usually, when I read who-done-it stories I can figure out who the culprit is. But this time I had no clue. I was baffled. When I found out who it was I couldn't have been more surprised. Quite frankly, none of the characters were suspect. Or so it seemed. At any rate, I was pleasantly surprised. I would recommend this book for book club. I gave it five stars.

Another Harlan masterpiece. This book is part of the Myron Bolitar series. You COULD read it as a standalone (Harlan gives all the necessary information) but why would you want to? Myron and Win (his best friend) are the perfect pair and continue to be in this book. There are so many twists, turns and just when you think you know - you don't. I have been a big fan of Harlan's for years and this book just reaffirms why everyone loves him and Myron.

I was given an Advanced Reader Copy by NetGalley for an honest review.

This author’s books always hold my interest. He adds plenty of twists so not easy to figure out. I do think the ending was somewhat of a let down. Not because of how the plot unravelled but more because of having Win explain everything. I still would recommend this book if you are a fan of Harlen Coben.

Harlan Cohen has done it again. Another great book! It gets your attention from the first page. He kept me guessing and wanting to know more throughout the whole book. I read it in three days and could hardly put it down. If you like a great mystery then this is definitely the book for you.

I'm always surprised when someone tells me thay have "discovered" Harlan Coben. As hot and trending Coben is currently, I've been a fan too many years to count and Myron Bolitar, along with Win, Esperanza and Big Cyndi seem like old friends. The series is a great one and this latest book adds to that list. If you have not read any of this series, you have some excellent reading ahead of you. Plan a binge weekend or two to catch up. You won't be sorry. Coben is well known for throwing lots of twists into each story......how many clues can you see before he throws an OH NO onto the page?

Think Twice threw a unique story line into Myron's efforts to restart his profitable business. The FBI barges in and accuse him of knowledge that Myron has no clue of. But you can count on Myron's curiosity to take him into the thick of things, dragging the whole crew in as they try to keep him safe. I'm not giving any more clues, you need to read the book and join the fan club.

Myron and Win reunite again!
Myron is restarting his sports agency when he gets a visit from the FBI, except they aren't there to question him about what he thinks they are.
They are looking for one of his old clients. The surprise part is the client is dead.

Harlen Coben knows how to write a thrilling suspense that keeps you on your toes, and leaves you waiting until the final pages for the best parts!

Thank you to #netgalley for this #arc

I have enjoyed Harlan's Bolitar books for years and years. I think that they just keep getting better and better. This was a very interesting premise and not giving spoilers, I must say it's a twist on the normal. I thought I had it figured out a few times, but in the end I never really did. Get this book! Highly recommended, great characters and you don't need to read his other Bolitar books to enjoy this one!

Harlan Coben has been an auto-read author for me since I discovered “The Woods” 20 years ago. I can always count on him to keep me riveted until the very last page. Although his standalone books are excellent, I especially enjoy the Myron Bolitar series featuring odd-couple Myron, retired pro basketball player now sports agent, and Win, the arrogant Bruce Wayne-esque anit-hero that always saves the day.

“Think Twice” is his 12th book in the series and features all of the expected witty banter between the leads and all of the colorful side characters that we’ve come to know over the years: former WOW wrestling duo Esperanza and Big Cyndi, most of Myron’s past and current romantic partners, his biological son, FBI agent and former boss PT, and even super lawyer Hester Crimstein (plus more, but it would spoil the fun). If I didn’t know better from this parade of former characters, I’d call this a send-off…

As with every one of Coben’s novels, “Think Twice” is an engrossing page-turner and has you working through the twists and turns right along with Myron and Win. This take on what a present-day serial killer has to be was brilliant and I enjoyed the way the story unfolded. The ending even caught me by surprise and had me tearing up. I can’t wait to see what’s next for Myron and Win!

Thank you to Grand Central Publishing and Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

What an entertaining book! One cannot go wrong spending time with our good friends,
Windsor Horne Lockwood, III (Win) and his partner in crime, Myron Bolitar, though these
two are not actually criminals, but long time friends and crime busters extraordinaire.
It’s almost a certainty that from the moment the feds show up in your orbit, your life is
going to become sticky, and that is exactly what happens here!
This is a fast moving, complicated story of the mutual friend of the two, who has
been dead for several years…OR this is what everyone thought. Well, from this
point on, follow along closely for a very interesting story and you will not be disappointed!
When the questions turn back to their orbit, with murders that may or may not be
close to their world, the pieces almost fit together ~ but do they…
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! My thanks to Grand Central Publishing via Net Galley for the
download copy of this title for review purposes.
